I can type replies just fine, but i can't paste anything into them.

I get the same thing when I try to paste or when I'm trying to edit the subject of the MAIN title, not the subject of individual posts.

I know you all are busy, but I wanted to let you know.

I'm the same. Wendy's looking into it for us, so I know it will be resolved.

Hi,

Okay, I was afraid that I was the only one that was having this problem. By the way things look I am not alone. I didn't know about the copying and pating problem, but I did have the subject line problem.

This is a thank you to whoever is going to try to fix this. All of those who work on this board do so much for us and I am grateful.

Hi Jayne,

I am hanging, believe me. I will wait as paitently as I can. I will just go out of my mind if I have to type up eveything all over again becaise I can't paste. I am sure it will be resolved, but it is late, and I can't sleep, so I am being irrational. Gosh I hate it when I am like this. I miss being in control of things. Oh well. I guess it is fly by the seat of my pants time.

I think this problem results from the virus/hacking thing and the work the hosts techies have done on the server.

We should all give Wendy and Heidi a chance to look at this - it might take a while!

Hi guys,

I know about the firewall thing and am looking into it. Heidi and I are going to have to get ahold of the tech guys for the server as I am not sure why you are getting that error. We need to get more info as to how it works. Always the problem when we add something new, heidi and I have to learn how to use it. Oh well. Give us a day or so... I know, I am sorry. I wish it was something that we could fix fast, but we don't know yet.

I am going to be doing some testing. and I will get back to you.
THanks.

PS This is test

How often does this happen to you?
You complete an important document just under the wire and send it off to a colleague as an e-mail attach-ment,
only to hear that she couldn’t open the file—she works on a different platform. Or maybe she doesn’t
have the right application loaded.
Perhaps you’ve just distributed an eye-catching new brochure or ad for review. But when your clients open
the electronic file, text and columns are askew, the logo has mysteriously vanished, and computers have sub-stituted
plain vanilla Courier for the elegant font you selected. Then, after you’ve taken the extra time to
distribute paper copies, your clients return a hodgepodge of papers cluttered with scrawled comments,
sticky notes, and stapled attachments.
Sound familiar?

ok, i can't seem to reproduce the error. Can someone please email me (wendy@wymanworld.com) their word doc with where it needs to go and I will go try to post on a real thread. Also if you are still getting the firewall error, please post here as to what your system setup is (ie Win/Mac, Browser type, Dialup/Cable modem) . I am going to see if I can narrow down where/when the error is coming from so that I can tell the tech guys exactly what is wrong.

Thanks for your help and patience, guys.

Hey Wendy,

I'm getting the firewall message when I try to cut and paste, or change the topic of my thread. I'm on a Windows ME platform, using Netscape 4.76 and a dial-up connection. I'm assuming someone has already emailed you a word file for test purposes, since it's been a couple of hours since you requested it...

Thanks,
Em

Hope that helps...

ok, we talked to the tech guys. It seems to be related to the length of the post. They are going to set it higher. That is also why we were getting firewall errors on every page for about ten minutes, in cause you wondered.

Anyways, it should be set now. So let me know if you are still getting the error and approximately how much text you are posting. thanks.

Don't worry we will get it right sooner or later, it is the law of averages, right

I'm getting the same problem....
only my post had a total of 5 lines...
I'm running on Windows NT, DSL modem...
Here's the exact error message..

SecureIIS application firewall security alert

HTTP Request caused a security alert, please contact our web master if you are getting this alert in error.

What is SecureIIS
SecureIIS offers websites running Microsoft Internet Information Server a broad range of protection from common vulnerabilities, both known and unknown. Because SecureIIS does not protect against specific vulnerabilities, but classes of vulnerabilities, it allows for a much more far reaching layer of security.

Hi everyone.

We're still looking at it.

We know what the error is. We know what's causing it. What we don't know is how to fix it. The software is brand new, and we don't know anything about it.

We are doing our best. I'm sorry that our best isn't faster, but that's just the way it is.

Blame the shithead hacker who made this whole issue.
