Hi everyone,
Well, I'm very new here and I'm not very computer smart either but I was wondering how everyone got all those cool pics in their sigs. I mean, is there some code you need to use or something.
Sorry I'm so lost but any and all help would be so great! Thanks.

USE THIS CODE: (JUST PUT IN ALL YOUR OWN INFO FOR IT TO WORK.)

If [*IMG] code is ON you can create inline images by typing:
[*img]http://www.yoururl.com/images.gif[*/img]

Remember to take out the *'s from the code above for it to work.

The link above doesn't exist so please don't click on it!

Hope this helps,

-Mandy

Kay. I get the code part. That seems easy enough but where do I get a webpage with the pic I want on it to put between the code...?
Does that make sense?
Like um, do you need your own sever space or something? Are there certain webpages you can load the pic onto and then get the www from there?
Again, sorry about being so stupid but yeah, I am. And thanks so much for helping little old me out!

you need to have sever space, or have someone with server space put the image online for you. then you need to know where it is, and link directly to the picture. so. for example... if you had server space, and made a directory called images in it, and the name of your picture was yummy.gif, you would use a url that looks like this:

http://www.yoursevername.com/images/yummy.gif

(of course, there's nothing at that link, so don't click on it).

Make sure if you're getting your own server space that the web host allows EXTERNAL LINKING to images, that is, allows a different web site to link directly to your pictures, or else it won't work anyway.

good luck!
