Does anyone know the location of the quarry in Roswell?

A Roswell fan I recently met who lives in England is really interested to know the actual location of the quarry seen in Roswell in the episodes 'Toy House' and 'Crazy'.

Does anyone know where it is or what it was called?

I'm not sure on this but I think it's Bellwood Quarry, Atlanta, GA

I think the quarry must be in southern Calfornia, probably near L.A. I can't imagine that they would take everyone to Gerogia to film those few scenes.

Someone mentioned to my friend that it may be in Irwindale, CA, but they didn't know a name or location, and he wants to fine it so he can go there.
