I didn't mean to make it sound as though Katie was the victim there. I agree with tequithasy and girl_afraid in that, while it is true that knowing the director and the kind of films he makes should have been a good enough reason for her to turn down the offer, when she read the script and realized that it was indeed sexist, if she didn't like it she simply should not have agreed to be in it. That said, she still did and therefore she shouldn't have said negative things about it. She agreed to be in, therefore she needs to promote it and that's that. Once she signs on to something--and no one forced her to do so--she needs to stick by it. (I think this applies to all projects.) It's a good time to remember that old adage, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all", ya know? Now, I like Katie. I'm not her biggest fan but I'm not her biggest critic, either. I think she has talent and I am happy for her for her success. End of story. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. That was not my intention.
That being said, does anyone know what "Life As We Know It" will be about? That title sounds interesting and I will probably see it--I like Katie and try to see anything and everything my Roswell gals and guys are in. That's just the kind of Roswellian I am. ;) Unfortunately due to work conflicts I have not been able to watch "Grey's Anatomy" for the past 2 seasons. Someday I would love to catch up. That was news to me about Ellen--good for her! Has her pregnancy been written into the show? (Feel free to PM/email me the answer to that if you want to guys! 8) )
Anyway...Katie. Has anyone else noticed that our Roswell cast all seem to get MORE beautiful as time goes by? I mean, honestly! It's almost unfair!

According to Perez Hilton, Katherine is adopting a baby this year.
Katherine Heigl is adopting a 10-month old baby girl this week from Korea. Her name is Nayleigh, but will be called Leigh for short.

The adoption process has reportedly been in the works for at least six months as Heigl and her husband, Josh Kelly have been wanting a child for quite a while.

“She is thrilled,” said a source. “She and Josh are so happy.”
Congrats to Katie and Josh.

^How wonderful! :D Congratulations!

It's so cute that Brendan and Katie are the first two of the group to have babies, since they were the first ones in Roswell to be shown holding a baby (Cliffhanger scene!)

You didn't offend me, don't worry. :)

Congrats to Katherine and Josh, and yay for adoption!

Oh good! :phew!: I'd like to think of us all as friends and would never want to offend a friend. :)

My comment about the media was never really clarified in my previous post. I meant to say that the media--particularly when reporting on celebrities, it seems to me--have been known to write things out of context or even spin things to meet a certain agenda. This has happened before--making someone sound as though their comments are harsher than they are meant to be and such. Katie has had this problem before and I've even read quotes from her about this very thing happening to her. In my original post I meant to express both the idea that, while she may have said bad things about the film it is possible that the media have turned it out in such a way that it came across worse than she intended...OR that Katie did really have negative things to say. Which we know she did think the film to be sexist but I've already commented on that. So...yeah...does this make sense?

And I can't wait to see Katie with her little girl! She'll make an amazing mom--I hear she's really compassionate by nature, too. Now I wonder when Jason or Emilie will have children (the only other two cast members that are married)...

Enjoy the weekend everyone! :)

Chanks_girl I was just coming over to post the exact same article! You beat me to it! :P

And yes, what an adorable little family they make! I'd read years ago that Katie planned to adopt and that it was important to her because her sister was adopted and they are very close. And I recall that shortly after they were married Josh and Katie were asked questions about children and Katie said, "later" and Josh, "sooner"--haha! But I'm sure they'll make wonderful parents to that beautiful little girl!

And I guess I read incorrectly that her name was Naleigh and would be called "Leigh"---it's the opposite, really, isn't it? :) "Nancy Leigh" (how sweet she's named after Auntie and Grandma!), or "Naleigh"!

So poor Katie's really gonna have her hands full now--a movie, a show, a baby, a 1st birthday party, a husband, friends and family, her home---well, if anyone can do it, I'm sure the physical interpretation of Isabel Evans can! ;)

Now I really wanna read a good Ros fic (preferably Gazer, at that!) that involves babies.....suggestions anyone?
TGIF my dear fellow Roswellians!!
