Wow.

The sticky from Rick about the calendar crisis was a wake-up call.

Partly because I remember chatting and emailing with Jenn very well, and I'm at least as worried and disappointed about the thought of her dropping off the face of the net as anybody else :(

Partly because I hadn't been paying much attention to the calendar drive and had no notion that there was any problem with it.

But MOSTLY because I realized that I'd been taking fanatics for granted, and that it's been much much too long since I've contributed a gift towards keeping things up and running smoothly around here.  :( I'm doing very well lately... (just found out that I'm going to get my student loans paid off in 2007 - yay!!) and passing some of those riches on seems like the least I can do for a community that has enriched my own life in so many ways ;)

SO... I'll figure out how much I can contribute... but I wanted to confirm this:

Is the proper paypal destination address for the fanatics treasury still admin@roswellfanatics.net ??

Thanks...

Thanks for the offer, Chris. But as Rick said in the announcement, we're able to run the board for free now. So the only financial crisis we're really dealing with is paying back the people who ordered, paid for, and didn't receive their calendars.

While we're not asking anyone to chip in and help with this, we certainly do appreciate the thought and the gesture. Times like this always remind me how awesome our members are.

Please don't send any money to that paypal address. It's not valid anymore. If you really would like to help us out, PM me. But like I said, Rick, Kath and myself are determined and committed to taking responsibility for this and making things right for these members.

:( I guess saying the situation sucks would be a horrendous understatement.

It just makes me think that we really are a community if people's generosity are brought out by something like this.

Wherever Jen is I hope that she's okay. And I have to say a big thank you to you Kath, Rick & Angel for keeping us running like a well-oiled machine.
