The Official "Life is Good" Thread

So I thought that since there is a "Complain About Life" thread I'd create a thread dedicated to the opposite. Because life's not so bad all the time.

This morning I woke up at five o'clockish feeling exceptionally refreshed and well rested, so I took my dogs on a morning run. Something I have not been able to do in a long time. The weather felt freaking amazing at 61 degrees, which is nuts for this time of year where I live. The sun had not risen yet so It was still kind of dark, but the sky was an awesome mix of blue and purple, and it rained yesterday so the air still had that fresh "it just rained" smell.

One of the best mornings ever!

Sounds amazing Chad.

I had a lovely Christmas with my family, there wasn't a single fight which is saying a lot when we're all together. I ate too much. Slept late every morning. Did absolutely no work. Probably put on weight. I don't care. I enjoyed myself and I feel ready to take on 2011.

Don't you love mornings like that?

I recently had one like that. I participated in our cities annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk and it was suppose to be a glorious morning. The race was supposed to start at 8 but we didn't start until 8.30. It was freezing outside, in the low fifties which is cold for FL, everyone was there dressed very festively in Christmas orientated running gear and 8.30 comes and my best friend and I take off running. One mile and not even fifteen minutes into the race is starts raining, then it poured, and it continued to pour down harder with practically every step but it was so worth it.

The rain felt electrifying, I didn't even feel the cold, it just felt great almost like an adrenaline rush.It was cloudy, it was cold, I was soaked from the top of my head to the bottom of my toes, but it was awesome. I felt like I was the only person running at times, just me and the rain, then it felt like I was running with everyone there that day. We finished and we celebrated in the streets before we were forced to duck inside a local store to buy some warm clothes. That day was perfect even if we didn't anticipate the rain. I wouldn't have changed it and what's better is that I didn't get sick. WHoop.

Life is really amazing right now - and it's wonderful start to the New Year! Let's go 2011 :D

I just got my new IPad, which I wasn't expecting until next week. I also received the cover that I ordered ... again, wasn't expecting it until next week.

Spent a lovely evening ringing in the New Year with friends and family at my baby brother's house. Did get a little tipsy  , but I survived

All in all ... 2010 ended on the bad side for me personally, but 2011 is looking good - in more ways than gadget wise

Woke up today to your typical rainy washington weather, but it was actually not that cold which is a plus. Went to the Pacific Science Center to catch the Harry Potter exhibit before it left Seattle, which was simply amazing and I recommend to any Harry Potter fan. Then hung out at the science center until closing, I haven't been there since I was a kid so it was like visiting for the first time all over again. My little man had so much fun that he didn't want to go home, he especially liked the snakes...boys...

Anyways, it was the perfect day, with the perfect dates, and now I'm about to hit some perfect REM cycles. G'night.

After non-stop rain for the last two days, it's beautiful and mild here today and I had a lovely walk. Such a simple pleasure but I felt great after it.

So, after a really horrible year last year, I actually managed to graduate with all my friends and get a University degree.

And now... I have a job! I'm going to be teaching grade 3/4's. The Australian school year starts around the end of January and ends around December, so I'm going to start getting some money soon and I'm really excited!

It also means that I can get myself a dog and a cat when I move into my own place. Excitement!

Earlier today Amazon had mismarked their PS3's for a good hour and a half instead of the normal 399.99 they were selling at the low low rate of 39.99. My husband gets home from work and tells me to come closer to him, I'm scared a million things running through my head, we're having to declare bankrupcty for debts I don't know about, he got fired, he cheated numerous bad bad thoughts. So he sits me on his lap and while I'm waiting for some kind of life altering news I hear for your birthday and I interrupt with "I want that cell phone" and I get the "No honey I bought you a PS3." I have been jumping around in excitement ever since. I have no idea what games are out for this system, which ones I want, what ones I'm going to get, but it does not matter, I'm on cloud 9. It's beginning to look a lot like Valentines Day people...pink is in the air, and I'm already sniffing candy and roses, and the scent of blown out candles that will be adorning the top of my birthday cake and a pretty little box containing my new piece of electronic heaven. Mmmm....
