I looked this up to see what it was about and you can watch the first season on Youtube. I watched most of the first episode and so far it's pretty good. But I kind of wish I didn't know he dies and she leaves. But question. Why do they call each other Sam and Sammy?

Oh Chad ... So sorry to have spoiled that for you! My bad ...

Damn, it's been literally YEARS since I've seen an episode - like 15! I have the series in my queue at Blockbuster -all the seasons until Season 5. I can't wait to see them again! 8)

In regards to your question, I think it had something to do with paying homage to the old classic cop caper style movies of the 30's and 40's. But like I said, it's been a while since I've seen the series. I could be wrong.

O.k. I'm watching the first season and already ... I'm hooked again!

Chad - in answer to the question about why Chris and Rita call each other Sam, it's because of pro golfer Slammin' Sam Snead, the greatest golfer that ever lived ... at least according to them.

Short-lived show: Samantha Who. I really liked this show and wanted to see more. I especially loved Billy Zane. I'm a fan and was happy when he became part of the show.

Space Above and Beyond was a short one I liked as a young adult

There was a show once called Inside Herman's Head. They had real life actors playing the parts of a guy's emotions inside his head while he went thru day to day life.It was actually kind of funny

Hm, when I was a little kid I didn't watch that much TV shows. I had a favorite movie, but it wasn't for kids and my father didn't like the idea watching it, because it was more like a thriller  , so I have to watch it behind his back  . What times were then. I'm pretty sure that I've watched some animated movies when I was 3 or 4 years old, but I don't remember from that time. I was a bit younger when I decided that I can't stand Tom and Jerry, Sezame street and that kind of stuff.

When I was a little bit older (around 8 years old) one of the first TV show that I remember watching was Twin Peaks and as twisted as it sounds I liked it  , because it was different from what I've seen.

About short-lived shows - I wouldn't say that I was really pissed, but I was slightly irritated about Moonlight (I kinda liked it), Flashforward, Life (although it had two seasons, that wasn't enough for me), 4400 (it wasn't short lived, but due to its cancellation didn't have the finale it deserves), Firefly (it was quite original and different).

Did anyone ever watch Caroline in the City in the late '90s? It ran for my four years of high school and I remember watching it off and on. I recently rediscovered it and watched all four seasons in about a week and a half. Richard/Caroline is my new OTP. <3
