Chapter 11

Liz walked down the stairs of her Victorian style house as she hummed some soft slow song tune, clearly in a wonderful mood.

She stopped to smell the roses on her vase in the hallways entrance table and gently fingered the wall as she walked her way to the kitchen. An amazed Alex watched from the living room area, wondering what the hell was wrong with her. He followed after whom he thought was a stranger and stopped and stared in shock as he saw Liz singing along with a bird at the window.

“Ok which demon are you? And if you must know I can kick your ass without Liz,” Alex warned alert. Liz turned around to find a confused Alex, and she gave out a soft giggle.

“Alex it’s me, calm down,” Liz said as she walked over and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and walked out of the kitchen leaving a bewildered look on Alex’s face.

“Umm…wait…what!” Alex quickly followed after her.

“No, you must be mistaken because the Liz I know, would have used her powers to send that chirping annoyance flying, and she would have walked grumpily down the stairs and she would have flicked, slapped, or caused some type of pain on my poor self, so, who the hell are you and what have you done with my broody Liz?” Alex pressed again.

“You know Alex, it’s not always good to be broody, how are you supposed to live life just by brooding?” Liz asked as she sat down on the couch and had a bowl of cereal.

“I’ve been asking you that same question for the last 2 years,” Alex mumbled before plowing down next to her. Liz smiled and gently patted him on his knee before her hand got shoved away by Alex’s.

“Now is that anyway to act?” Liz asked shaking her head as she turned on the TV. Alex pouted and sighed, “I liked you better before you hit puberty,” he mumbled.

“I would think that you like this side of me, you have been complaining about the broodiness forever, it was getting annoying,” Liz stated.

“You know, you’re annoying, if you have a new phase every 2 days I’m going to have to orb myself to somewhere like Somalia where the conditions barley ever change!”

“Somalia’s a growing country,” Liz stated blankly.

“Will you shut up?!” Alex groaned out before hastily grabbing the remote from Liz and changing the channel.

“Do you need some of my happy pills this fine morning Alex?”

“What I need is a machete,” Alex mumbled right before the doorbell rang.

“Who could that be?” Liz wondered as she looked at the clock seeing that it was only 10:00 am on a Sunday.

“Probably your other crazy half, Maria, why must I surround myself with you women? Why?” Alex whined.

“Did you ever think of it the other way around and why must me and Maria have to deal with your whiny ass all day long?” Liz bit out as she settled the cereal bowl to get up and get the door.

“Aha! You’re back, I knew this phase wouldn’t last!”

“How could it, with you acting like the damn ghost of Christmas past,” Liz retorted leaving Alex to fake a hurt look on his face.

Liz walked over to the door and opened it expecting to find Maria but shocked when she saw someone else.

Max stood on the other side of the door and smiled when he saw Liz open the door in hello kitty pajamas and a plain white tank top.

Liz’s eyes widened and she quickly shut the door on him.

What was he doing here? And with that he just saw her in her hello kitty pajamas! And she just shut the door on him! She quickly opened it again and this time only opened a little bit, enough to fit her head in.

“Max! Umm, what are you doing here? So early?” She asked.

Max laughed at her antics, “I already saw you in those hello kitty pajamas sugar, no need to hide from me, plus I think they’re sexy,” He said with a wink.

Liz blushed and then she blinked. Did she just blush?

“Umm, I’m not hiding… I just… yeah,” Liz stated before opening the door fully in all her hello kitty glory.

Max laughed, “Oh yeah so sexy,” He stated. Liz threw him a glare. “You know what else would be really sexy,” He whispered walking closer to her, leaving Liz’s heart to race, and her body system to crumble down with the proximity of their closeness.

“You out of the pajamas,” He whispered into her ear. Liz controlled herself however, surprisingly, and pushed him away.

“Nice try,” She stated. “Damn, it was worth a shot,” He stated. Liz raised her eyebrows and then placed her hands on her hips.

“You didn’t answer my question, what are you doing here?” She asked.

“Oh right, I wanted to see if you would be up for some breakfast,” He told her. Liz raised her eyebrows again, “Breakfast?”

“Yeah you know that thing people usually do when they wake up, put food in their mouths, usually eggs, or pancakes, with some OJ,” Max defined for her.

“Thank you smart ass, I know what breakfast is, but I was just wondering why you would want breakfast with me now?” Liz asked and then silently cursed herself for the words that just came out of her mouth.

“Well I figured since we got through our little hump, breakfast would be our first step, but if you want to pass, ok then,” Max stated as he started to walk away.

“Uh no! Wait, I’m sorry, you just caught me off track, you know morning and all, and me not a morning person, umm let me take a quick shower and get ready and I’ll meet you at your house?”

“How about we just skip breakfast and go straight to the shower?” Max smoothly replied with a wink.

Liz gave out a sarcastic laugh, “I don’t know why you bother trying, it’s not going to work,” Liz stated.

Max walked closer to her again placing his hands on her waist, “If I recall it seemed to work last night,” He whispered bringing his lips dangerously close to hers, Liz couldn’t resist this time and she brought her lips closer to his and just as they touched it was harshly interrupted.

“Why must you and Maria stand at the foyer for 10 minutes talking like I’m not around?” Alex said coming out of the living room, and to his shock he didn’t find Maria with Liz.

“Oh, umm, sorry,” He stated before glaring at Liz and walking back into the living room.

Max looked at Liz curiously, “Brother?”

“Cousin, he has his own place, but he likes mine better, sorry about that, but it does remind me that I need to get ready, and you need to wait eagerly for me at your house,” Liz whispered in his ear before pushing him out the door.

“Oh and what makes you think I’ll wait for you eagerly?” He pressed.

Liz smiled, “Breakfast right, pancakes, strawberries…whipped cream.”

Max groaned, “You are such a tease.”

“Deal with it,” She stated as she blew him a kiss and closed the door on him. She let out a deep breath. Why was that so hard?

Max walked back to his house, at the moment, in a daze. The girl that he was brought up to loathe was adorable and he hated it. He wasn’t feeling anything for her, it’s just she made things harder. Her arrogance, and her stubbornness drove him crazy, she was so difficult to crack but at the same time he was dying to crack her.

Women came easy to him, humans they were easy, they flocked to him the minute they saw his good looks and his car, but this one, she was different. She was a little spitfire and she always put a fire up inside him and he hated it. He hated her, he didn’t know why he thought otherwise.

He had one mission, and he wouldn’t stop at any cost till he succeeded, she was nothing to him.

“Am I interrupting anything?” Max looked up quickly as he walked into his house and found his father waiting for him.

“Father,” He acknowledged as he shut the door behind him.

“How is it going?” Kivar quickly asked, setting all pleasantries aside. That’s how it always was though. Kivar was never a man for affection, similar with his father. He was all about action, and getting what he wanted done.

“Fine, things are going smoothly,” Max answered. Kivar nodded his head, “How long will this take, we are running out of time, Sean slipped up, just like I predicted he would, these low level demons don’t know any better, they might be closing in on us,” Kivar stated.

“Actually the demon might have made it easier for us,” Max confessed. Kivar raised his eyebrows, “How so?”

“Right before I stabbed him with the dagger, he whispered to Liz that he was that one she was searching for all along.”

Kivar smiled, “This changes everything, it takes the suspicion off of you, and with Sean out of our way we can get a shape shifter to pose as him, this is good, this is really good,” he beamed.

Max nodded his head, “things are working out to our advantage.”

“I see that, are you headed to see her now?”

Max nodded his head, “She agreed to breakfast.”

“Well I won’t keep you, report in after.” Max nodded his head and within seconds Kivar disappeared, leaving Max to deluge himself in his thoughts.

As Liz walked back towards the upstairs, well more like ran back towards the upstairs, she was interrupted by an annoyed Alex.

“What the hell was that!?” He asked. Liz stopped her motions and rolled her eyes, here he went again with one of his tantrums.

“Umm, an invite to breakfast, and if you don’t mind I need to be going upstairs to get ready,” Liz stated as she started up the stairs again.

“You’re joking right?” Liz rolled her eyes once more and ceased her actions again and turned to face him.

“After what the hell just happened with Sean and this guy, you’re just going to let your guard down and trust him, I mean you trusted Sean and look where that got you. I thought we agreed that this isn’t best for you right now, especially with Sean still out there, we should be anticipating his next move, not getting you ready for a breakfast with the next door neighbor,” Alex lectured.

Liz sighed, “What can I do Alex? Sean obviously doesn’t want to be found, we’ve tried everything to find him, he’ll come back out when he’s good and ready, most likely after his wounds are nice and healed, and what else do I have to do, I’m prepared to the fullest, I can’t keep preparing, and brooding, and living this life wishing to do other things.

I want to do the things that I want to do, like going to breakfast with the cute next door neighbor, so why can’t I just live my life normally?”

“Because you aren’t normal Liz. When are you going to accept that? You’re not a regular teenager, and nor will you ever be, you have a greater destiny, and it’s about time that you start picking up the responsibility, because we can’t have another slip up like we did with Maria, and how close you let Sean get to you.”

“Well no one ever asked me if I wanted this life! No one ever asked me if I wanted to not be normal, I didn’t choose this life I was forced into it! Do you know how much it kills me to know that if I screw up it might cost me someone’s life! Do you know what it’s like carrying that around on your shoulders all the damn time?

The fate of the world is in my fucking hands and no one ever stopped and asked if I ever wanted it there! I want to do as I please, and god help me Alex don’t stand in my way.

I have been slaving around the last 2 years of my life, I’ve watched my parents die, I’ve trained ever since I was seven years old to reach this point, so don’t stand there and lecture me on what I can and cannot do, because I have done everything that was asked of me for as long as I can remember, I have given up a life of normalcy to save the damn world, and save others, but now it’s time for me to do what I want, for me, so don’t stand in my way,” Liz stated firmly before walking away leaving Alex without words and full of sympathy.

Liz walked out the door in full rage. She knew Alex just wanted to protect from getting hurt, but it wasn’t his decision anymore. Liz was tired of living a life that made her unhappy. She wanted to do things her way, she didn’t want to hide anymore.

She didn’t want to hide behind her cynical point of view of life. She didn’t want to hide behind the meaningless sex, she wanted to live a real life, and wanted to stop running, and for some reason, Max made her feel like she can stop running, and as much as it scared her, she was ready to let him guide her out of her rut.

She walked over to his house and walked up the steps, and she could have sworn she heard Max talking to someone.

Did he have company?

She rang the door and patiently waited.

Max on the other side, stood alert, he knew Liz was on the other side, and his father had just left, did she hear them?

He opened the door, and acted cool and collected, didn’t want to give anything away, even if she heard anything.

“Uh… hey. Do you have company?” Liz asked peering over his shoulder to see if anyone was there.

“Oh, I was on the phone,” He quickly lied, which seemed like it worked because she seemed to buy it, which was a good thing because it meant she didn’t hear anything.

“Oh, so you ready?” She asked fiddling with her purse. Why was it so damn awkward?

“Yeah,” He said taking in her appearance. She had on a short pink baby doll tee that showed off her cut stomach with a little silver jewel on her belly button, and tight hip hugger pants that hugged her in the right places. He couldn’t deny that everything about her appearance was right.

“Like what you see?” Liz asked cockily as she watched Max eat her up. Max smirked, “You know it baby,” He huskily replied.

“Ok how about a preview then?” Liz asked smoothly. Max raised his eyebrow and Liz walked closer to him. Max gulped, which was surprising, he never gulped, he was always cool.

She stood on her tip toes and leaned into him and gave him a fierce kiss. Max taken by surprise at first, quickly adjusted to it and pulled her close to him, leaving no space between the two of them.

Liz wrapped her arms around his neck and quickly granted Max’s probing tongue access into her mouth. She moaned when their tongues made contact and fought a fierce fight. They kissed hungrily but still managed to make it passionate. Liz was exploding with desire, she had a fire lit inside her and at the moment only Max was the one who could put it out, and he had every intent on doing so.

Max pinned her against the wall of his hallway and ran his hands all over Liz’s body, touching, grabbing, any where he could.

Liz’s head spun and the way he touched her drove her crazy. She was burning up with passion and she knew if this didn’t happen between the two of them she would die.

Liz pulled her mouth away from Max’s not being able to stay in control anymore, and cried out his name as his hands found their way towards her breasts.

Max lifted Liz up and as Liz wrapped her legs around his waist, Max took the que to grind his member against her aching core, driving Liz to moan out his name some more.

Max groaned when he heard her soft sigh before he attacked her neck. He moved them over to the living area and quickly planted his self on his couch bringing Liz down with him.

Liz quickly straddled him and started her own assault on his neck, driving Max even more insane. He couldn’t explain the sensation he felt, it was like every fiber in his body was flaming , he’s never had such an experience with a woman before, everything with her was so much better, so much more exciting, if he didn’t have her right there and then he didn’t know what he would be capable of.

Max ran his hands up her creamy bare smooth thighs bringing her core closer to his erection. Liz moaned at the contact and then found her self on her back. Max grinned at her quickly before taking his place on top of her. Liz pulled on his chain bringing his head down and their lips together. The minute their lips fused Max continued exploring her with his hands.

He grabbed the hem of her shirt and quickly brought it up. They spread apart to discard of the shirt, and seconds later Max’s shirt followed.

Liz flipped them back over, and winked at him as she straddled him. Max groaned at the sweet torture she put upon him as she slowly rocked her hips against his rock hard penis.

Max ran his hands up and down her back and ceased to remove of her bra. Once it was removed Max groaned at the sight in front of him, and if it was even possible he hardened even more.

Liz smirked, “like?” she purred into his ears. Max placed his hands on her back and pressed her closer to him, biting down on her neck.

“Love,” he groaned back, before pushing her back and taking one of her hard nipples into his mouth. Liz cried out and arched her back at the pleasure. She kneaded one of her hands into his hair as he continued his assault.

Her cries drove him wild and he nipped, bit, and sucked on her nipples until he heard her moan his name.

He flipped them back over so that she was back on her back, and Liz reached for his zipper. Her heart raced as she brought it down to its base. Max quickly discarded his jeans and used his hands to explore Liz. He used one to squeeze and inch up her thigh as the other was behind her neck to support her head as he kissed her roughly.

“Max,” Liz moaned once his hand cupped her gently stroking her through her thin cloth. Max grinned and quickly pushed the panty aside and plunged two fingers into her slick depths. Liz cried out loud, and as her cries grew frequent Max slid his fingers faster in and out of her, until her body gave out and spasmed against his fingers.

Liz clung tightly to Max as her orgasm strongly ripped through her. The feeling was not like she had ever gotten before. The orgasm ripped through her for what seemed like hours and her whole body rocked at the intensity.

She screamed out his name and Max watched with pleasure the faces she made. Just as she came down from her high, Liz reached down and took Max’s member out from his boxers. Max groaned at the contact and bit his lip as she began to stroke him. Her touch was driving him crazy, he didn’t know how long he could last with her touching like that.

She led him to her entrance and Max looked at her questioningly. Liz smirked up at him, “You know the answer,” She stated huskily, and just as he eased into her entrance softly the sound of a crash came from the back of the house.

Liz quickly jumped up and pushed him away, fully alert.

“What was that?” She asked.

“I don’t know,” He confessed, and he really didn’t know. He stood up quickly and alert as well. Liz quickly grabbed her shirt and placed it over her head, and followed Max as he went searching for what caused the noise.

“What are you doing?” Max hissed back at her when he noticed she was following him.

“Umm following? What does it look like?”

“No, stay here,” He commanded. Liz looked at him like he was joking, “I’m a big girl,” she bit out. Why was he always trying to protect her?

“Dammit, I said stay here!” Max said losing his temper and then he thought twice. Why was the thought of her being in danger scary?

“I’m sorry am I interrupting something?” The two jumped at the voice, and Max’s eyes rose at the person belonging to the voice.

Ok guys! Back with the next part! Once again thanks so much for the patience and for the wonderful feedback! You all are amazing!

Big thanks to the lovely La'shon! You're amazing love!!

Chapter 12

“Father,” Max said with a surprise and annoyance in his voice. What was he up to?

Liz looked at the man in front of them, he looked way to young to be dad, and Max’s dad at that.

“I thought I’d stroll in and see how my son was doing,” Kivar said with a smile as his eyes were directed toward Liz, taking in every bit of her appearance. She was an attractive one, he’d give her that much.

Liz shivered at the way he looked at her, there was just something off with him, something cold about the man that she didn’t like at all.

“Stroll in through the back?” Max questioned. Kivar shifted his gaze back to Max, “I rang the doorbell but apparently you didn’t hear me, now I see why. Aren’t you going to introduce me to your beautiful companion?” He purred out as he shifted his gaze back at Liz.

Liz resisted the urge to smack the grin off the man’s face.

“This is the next door neighbor, Liz, Liz, this is my father,” Max said not wanting to stand there any longer with the two of them. He wanted his father gone, he was up to something, and he didn’t want Liz to get suspicious.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Kivar said taking Liz’s hands and bringing it up to his lips. Liz shuddered at the contact, and hastily pulled her hands away, and covered the rudeness up with a smile and a, “You too.”

“Well, I guess I was interrupting, so sorry, I’ll just see myself out, Max we shall talk later,” Kivar asked, well more like ordered.

Max nodded his head, and then Kivar turned his gaze back to Liz, “See you around,” Liz gave him another fake smile, and once he walked away towards the hallway and heard the door closed Liz felt relief rush over her.

There was just something about that man that irked her.

“Sorry bout’ that, he tends to just show up,” Max excused for Kivar.

“It’s ok, we were getting to ahead of ourselves anyways,” Liz stated with a blush, thoughts of the previous engagement with Max going off in her head, and thoughts of meeting Kivar long gone.

“If you say so sugar,” Max said huskily with a wink, causing Liz to giggle. Wait she just giggled, again, damn that man.

“So breakfast right, did you plan on cooking, because to be honest, you seem to have no domestic skills,” Liz stated scrunching her nose at the thought of burnt toast, and pulpy orange juice.

Max laughed, and then re-thought the laugh. He never laughs, especially at lame jokes.

“Max?” Liz asked when Max seemed to drift off, and not answer her question.

“Huh, sorry, oh no, I was thinking bout’ going to the Sunny Café,” He answered.

Liz nodded her head, “sounds good,” she agreed, and Max went and picked up his shirt from the floor and winked at her, causing her to blush, yet again. What the hell was wrong with her?!

“Ready?” Max asked, and Liz nodded and as she walked closer towards him to get to the door, what he did next shocked both of them and stuck out his hand for hers to take. Max was surprised at the gesture, he never showed affection, but quickly double thought his action, it was all apart of the plan.

Liz smiled and took it and neither of them expected the shock that they felt the minute their hands clasped. It was like they were meant to fit each other’s perfectly.

Max looked at Liz in shock as he heard her order; a slice of grilled honey ham, two strips of bacon, two sausage links, hash browns, two eggs, and three fluffy buttermilk pancakes.

It was almost equivalent to his breakfast except the fact that she had two extra pancakes.

When she was done ordering and the waitress walked away Liz laughed at the look on Max’s face.

“Are you sure you can eat all that?” He croaked out.

“Yes I can, thank you very much,” She stated coming into her defense. She had a hearty appetite, and she didn’t care what people thought of it, because she still looked hot.

“But you’re so small,” He stated.

“And I can still break your shit in half, so I wouldn’t test me,” She stated as she grabbed a piece of bread from the bread basket.

Max raised his arms up in surrender, “I wouldn’t dare,” He told her with a smile as he brought his hands down.

Liz smiled in victory, “Thank you.”

“Any way I like a girl with a good appetite, means she’ll have enough energy for me,” Max said huskily with a wink.

Liz choked on her piece of bread, before retorting, “Please, it’s going to be you needing the energy when I’m done with you.” And it was Max’s turn to choke on his water. Was it him or was it hot in there?

Oh it was definitely him, especially with Liz’s leg brushing against his. He turned to look at the devil and saw the adorable smirk on her face; she was like no other girl he met. But it didn’t change anything, her family destroyed his, he needed his revenge.

“So, your father seems like a character,” Liz stated as the conversation seemed to get dull.

“Uh yeah,” Max said uncomfortably, he didn’t want to talk about his father.

Liz noticed his hesitance on the subject, and guessed that her predictions were right.

“So you guys have a strained relationship huh?” She questioned. Max raised his eyebrows, “why would you say that?”

“Well first for the fact that when he popped in unexpected, you weren’t that happy to see him, just like you’re not happy to talk about him right now,” she explained.

“You’re a quick one Parker,” Max stated sarcastically. Liz noticed the change in tone and decided that maybe it wasn’t a good thing to talk about him.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to pry, you don’t have to talk about it,” Liz said fiddling with her straw in her lemonade.

Max looked and saw the hint of sadness in her eyes, and he couldn’t understand why he didn’t like it there.

“No, it’s just that, I guess you can say that my father wasn’t the best of father’s, he’s just always been…”

“Cold,” Liz stated without thinking.

“Yeah,” Max confessed.

“Well I guess it’s better than not having a father at all,” Liz admitted sadly. Max looked at the girl and suddenly felt a rush of sorrow for her.

“It’s kind of the same, but I guess you are right, I mean I’ve never met my mother,” Max told her.

Liz looked up at him, they had more in common than she thought.

“You’ve never met your mother?”

“Nope, it’s just been me and daddy dearest, and even then he was still always working, and he pushed me at it too, you know becoming a lawyer at 21 isn’t something you see very often. I guess I have my father to thank for that,” Max told her, yet he didn’t know why. It was kind of the truth, but a little embellished. Kivar worked his whole life to bring down the broken girl sitting in front of him’s family, he pushed Max to it as well, he needed Max to get to where he needed him to be, so they managed to make Max a lawyer, and cover it up as him being a genius, it worked out well to Max’s advantage, women loved him, but for some reason it didn’t intrigue Liz at much, he had a feeling she really could care less if he was a lawyer or a regular college student.

“Yeah that’s pretty impressive, so I guess it kind of paid off, tons of people older than you would kill to be you right now.”

“If only I’d kill to be me,” Max mumbled. Liz stared at him, and suddenly realized they were more than alike. They both wanted to be normal.

Their eyes locked and in that moment both of them could feel each other’s feelings; they both felt the other’s pain. The absence of parents, the will to want to be like everything else, they both felt it, but wasn’t ever able to share it. It was at that moment that Liz Parker knew that things weren’t going to be the same, and that Max knew that something wasn’t right with the way he was feeling.

<center> _/\_

“So what about you?” Max asked as he took a bite of his bacon from his plate. The waitress came about 5 minutes earlier to deliver their food.

“What about me?” Liz asked before she took a sip from her lemonade.

“What happened with your parents?” Max asked, and he noticed the way her face fell. But the worse part about it wasn’t how sad she looked; it was that he knew exactly what happened, and the fact that his father was involved, and the fact that she doesn’t know it.

“Oh, it’s not that fascinating of a story,” Liz stated, sadness in her voice, as she played around with her eggs with her fork. Liz never really got to talk about her parents a lot. Sure her and Alex brushed on it, but it was a subject Liz didn’t like talking about. What was there to say? Her parents died by a mass murdering warlock before she got the chance to really know them. Then she spent the rest of her life preparing to fight for her life and not have a childhood until her grandma passed away when she was 16 and she had to take on the weight of the world. It wasn’t a subject she liked to bring up at all.

“You don’t have to tell me,” Max stated as he took a bite of his eggs. Part of him just wanted to know how she felt about it all, he wanted her to open up to him, he needed to break her.

“It’s not that…” She started, she felt her walls crumble, and this time she let them fall, “There’s really not much to tell, I never really knew my parents, the both died before I can really remember anything about them. I just have these memories that seem so non-existent because they were so far away and so blurry, that I can barley even remember them.”

Max looked at her and saw how it affected her, he knew what it was like not to be able to do things that you wanted, and how not having a real parent was like. He continued to listen to her intently.

“I mean I can remember the day of their funeral clearly, I don’t know if that makes me a bad person because I can’t remember them but I can remember their funeral like it happened yesterday,” She stated with tears swelling up to her eyes.

Max quickly grabbed her hand and Liz looked up shocked, “You’re not a bad person.”

Liz smiled, “Thanks,” she whispered.

Max nodded his head and urged her to continue.

“It was really me and my grandma after that, but she died 9 years later, I mean she was great don’t get me wrong, she had so much life and so much knowledge, I learned so much from her, but she could never fill that void, she wasn’t my…”

“Parents,” Max finished for her.

“Exactly.”

“Well I think you turned out pretty ok, I mean besides the fact of the permanent attitude problem, and your denial of that fact that you want me,” Max stated with a smirk.

Liz laughed and glared at him at the same time, “Who said I’m in denial of wanting you?” She purred as her leg brushed closely towards a sensitive part for him.

Max coughed out loud as he choked on his eggs causing Liz to laugh, “Don’t die on me Max Evans, I plan on keeping you around for a lot of things later,” She winked at him.

Max knew that this girl would be the death of him; in more ways than one.
