Great Chapter!!!! Please please please please please please please please please please come back and post more really really really really soon? I can't wait to read what will happen next for Max and Liz. Isabel needs to open her heart to Alex. Maybe Alex will surprise her in a way she never thought. Wow that is the saddest memory Liz had. Jeff is a mega asshole for thinking Liz is a mistake and for being mean to Liz. Love how Liz and Jessica were in the memory.

Seems like Isabel and Alex have a good start in their relationship.
Liz does need to address her sister's death, and the close relationship that the two sisters shared.
Mr. P isn't going to change it appears.
Thanks, Carolyn

L-J-L 76 Isabel, has reasons why she won't give anyone her heart. Liz was very close to her sister so her death has really been hard on Liz.

saori_1902 :D

Carolyn Alex and Isabel have a start of a relationship they may prove to be about more than sex before long. Liz will begin to address her sister's death and their relationship here. It doesn't seem that Jeff will change. But never say never.

Part 20

Liz sat at a table in the corner of the cafeteria picking at her breakfast of a toasted bagel with cream cheese and an apple. She wasn't really hungry but knew she had to eat something. She was lost in thought and didn't notice when someone came up to her until they spoke.

"Elizabeth Parker?"

Liz looked up to see Miss Toloposki standing by the table.

"Yes." Said Liz
"I'm Miss Toloposki."
"I know who you are ma'am."
"Then you also know that I am one of the councilors here."
"Yes."
"I was informed of what happened last night."
"The whole school seems to know."
"Well, I was wondering if you would like to go to my office and talk about it?"
"Uh, I should. But there are some other things that I need to talk about with you too."
"OK. What do you say an hour from now my office?"
"Sure."
"Liz, anything you tell me in my office unless it could harm you or others will stay between us."
"I understand."
"Ok see you in an hour. You know where my office is right?"
"Yes Miss Toloposki."

Miss Toloposki left and Liz started to get ready to leave. She had just pulled on her coat when Max walked up to her.

"Hey you ok?" Asked Max
"Yeah. Thanks again for helping me last night."
"No problem."
"Max, I got to go."
"Wait Liz?"
"What Max?"
"I was wondering if we could meet up for lunch later?"
"Max, while I am greatful that you protected me last night, I am still mad about your bet."
"I am sorry about that."
"I know and I do forgive you. But you still have to prove to me that I am not just some conquest. That if I were to give myself to you that you wouldn't just dump me after you got what you wanted."
"Well Miss Parker, I guess I will have to find away to prove it to you."

Liz looked at him and could see that he had a very determined look in his very soulful eyes. But it didn't scare her. She gave him a smile and hoped that he really did mean it.

"Oh by the way Happy New Year Liz." Max then turn and walked off to get his breakfast.
"Happy New Year Max."

*******

Liz walked into Miss Toloposki's office. Her heavy winter coat unzipped and pulling off her knit hat.

"Come on in Liz." Said Miss Toloposki

Liz came in and took off her coat. She sat down in one of the big over stuffed chairs. Miss Toloposki sat in the one across from her.

"I read in your file that after your sister died you went to a psychologist."
"Yeah. Could talk to them though."
"Why is that?"
"My father wouldn't leave me alone with him. All he wanted was me to be drugged."
"You really believe that?"
"Yeah. He has never been proud of me for anything. I have won all kinds of awards in school for my writing and he has never been happy for me. He couldn't stop praising my sister for what she did."
"How has this made you feel?"
"It hurts. I don't understand how he could love my sister but not me. How Jess could do no wrong in his eyes but I could do no right."
"Your father has never given you any praise?"
"No. My mom and sister were always proud of things I did."
"So were you and your sister close?"
"Very. Jess, was great. She was three years older then me. But she never saw me as a pest. In fact there were times she would take me with her to her friend's house when the only choice was to leave me with my father."
"What did her friends say about it?"
"They weren't happy. But they put up with it cause they knew that Jess would go off alone with me then stay with them."
"How did you feel when Jessica died?"
"I was hurt, angry, upset. She was my best friend. The one person I knew would always be there for me. She was the one I asked about boys when I started to like them. Don't get me wrong. My mom she always showed me love and support. She would stand up to my father when he put me down."

Liz spent the next hour talking about her home life with Miss Toloposki.

Great Chapter!!!! Please please please please please please please please please please come back and post more really really really really soon? I can't wait to read what will happen next between Max and Liz. So Liz wants Max to show her that he really cares and won't use her and dump her. Cool wonder what Max will do to win her heart. So glad that Liz is finally talking about her father, sister's death. Hopefully talking to a therapist will help Liz be able to get past her unloving father and her sisters death. How will Max win Liz over? How is Max going to prove to Liz that he doesn't want to use her and dumper? Does Max have feelings for Liz? Does Liz have feelings for Max? Will Max and Liz admit their feelings to each other? Will Max and Liz become a couple? Will Max and Liz kiss? Will Max and Liz become close? Will Max and Liz see each other when they are home? Will Max and Liz hang out together? Will Max and Liz sleep together? Will Liz become pregnant? Will Max be there to protect Liz? How is Max going to be protective of Liz? How protective is Max over Liz? Will Max and Liz have a happy ending together? Will Max and Liz call each other and talk when they are home with family? Will Nancy tell Liz about her father? Will Liz understand her mom? Will Max and Liz have a happy ending? Will Max and Liz get past everything and move on together? Will Max and Liz get married and have kids?

L-J-L 76 Liz does want Max to prove that he is not just looking for sex from her. It will take time for Liz to work past her feelings regarding both her father and sister's death.

Eve Jeff Parker is the only father Liz has ever known. Weather he is her biological father or not will come out very soon.

Carolyn Hopeful finally talking about Jessica's death will help Liz.

Part 21

Nancy drove a week after New Years to Hondo to talk with a lawyer that a friend of hers recommended. She had always hoped that Jeff would change. But he hadn't. He never could accept Liz. Though it was no fault of Liz's. She and Jeff were the only ones that knew the truth. That Jeffrey Parker was not Liz's biological father. But the truth was going to have to come out now, that Jeff's brother in law had raped Nancy when he was drunk one night. Lucas was now in prison and would never have any rights to Liz. But the hard part was going to admit to Liz that who she thought was her father wasn't. Jeff had never even wanted Nancy to keep Liz. He actually had wanted Nancy to end the pregnancy. But Nancy knew that she had been this girl for a reason. He gave in and let Nancy bring her home. But made it clear that Jessica would always come first. Nancy parked in the parking lot of the office building that Evans and associates was located. She got out of the car and made her way in.

"May I help you?" Asked the receptionist
"Yes my name is Nancy Parker. I have an appointment with Mrs. Evans."
"I will let her know you are here."

The receptionist picked up the phone and spoke for a minute then hung up.

"She will be out in just a moment."
"Thank you."

A few minutes later a woman with blond hair around her age came out of an office.

"Mrs. Parker? I am Diane Evans."
"Nancy Parker."
"Why don't you come into my office and you can tell me what I can do for you."

Nancy followed Diane into her office and couldn't help but wonder where she had seen the woman before. Nancy took a seat across the desk from Diane.

"Now Mrs. Parker when we spoke you said something about wanting to divorce your husband." Said Diane
"Yes."
"What are the grounds you wish to state?"
"Irreconcilable differences."
"Any children?"
"Only a daughter that he doesn't accept and has been emotionally abusive to her whole life."
"I see. So I take it you want sole custody?"
"Yes. Mrs. Evans the truth is my husband is not actually my daughter Elizabeth's biological father. His brother in law raped me. Jeffrey wanted me to actually terminate the pregnancy. But I couldn't do it. By the time Liz was born both I and Jeff and my daughter Jessica had fallen in love with her. Jessica died in a car accident nearly three years ago. Things then got a lot worse at that point. He tried to force Jessica's dreams on Liz and Liz didn't take to it well. She started to act out and do things that would prove that she wasn't anything like her sister."
"I am sorry for your lost. Does Elizabeth know that your husband is not her biological father?"
"No. He is the only father she has known for her nearly sixteen years of life. I plan to tell her when she comes home from boarding school in Michigan for spring break."
"Raven Crest?"
"Yes. That is where I saw you! The air port in Las Cruces."
"Yes both of my children go to Raven Crest."
"Mrs. Evans will this prevent you from representing me?"
"No."

They spent the next hour going over everything that Nancy wanted in the divorce.

*********

Liz walked into her room dropping her books on her bed. It had been two weeks since she started to go to counciling. She never realized just how much it had hurt her emotionally that her father didn't care about her.

"Hey Liz. You OK?" Asked Serena from her bed.
"Uh yeah."
"What is really going on Liz?"
"Nothing. It's just that I still have a lot to do to get past my issues with my father."
"I know he hasn't been a great father. But at least you had one."
"Rena, an uncaring father is worse then no father at all. My sister was the best thing in my childhood. I have all ready made myself a promise that if I ever find a man that loves me for me. One I can see myself spending the rest of my life with that my first born daughter will be named for my sister."
"So what is going on with you and Max?"
"Nothing."
"Yeah right."
"Serena, until I get myself together I can't get involved with anyone."
"But you like him."
"I liked him the moment I met him. It had nothing to do with him being a bad boy either."
"Look, Liz what do you like to do?"
"What do you mean?"
"What do you want to be?"
"A writer."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I have even won awards for short stories and essays."
"That is so cool!"
"My father didn't see it that way."
"Liz, I am no expert on these things, but maybe it's time that you accept that no matter what you do that ass will never be proud of anything you do. That you should give up on trying to get him to accept you."
"Miss Toloposki told me almost the same thing."
"Then you have a choice to make. Well I will see you later. I'm meeting Kyle at the boathouse."
"Have fun."

Serena smiled and headed out the door.

Great Chapter!!!! Please please please please please please please please please please come back and post more really really really really soon? I can't wait to read what will happen next for Max and Liz. Finally Nancy is getting the mega asshole Jeff out of her and Liz's life forever. Glad that Diane and Nancy finally meet. Can't believe mega asshole Jeff's brother raped Nancy. Still hate Mega asshole Jeff for telling Nancy to get ride of Liz. Hope Jeff will leave Liz and Nancy alone forever. Love the talk to talk Serena and Liz had. It seems Serena and Liz are becoming friends hopefully. So now Nancy has to tell Liz who her birth father was. Wonder how Liz is going to take the news. Hopefully Liz won't go back to her ways again since she changed so much for being at the school.
