Summary: Liz has gone through many problems since she learned of the aliens, but now she is troubled by forgotten memories, or are they just simply figments of her imagination of a lost love?
A/N: This story was written for darkmoon. I hope this meets all your expectations.

Liz picked up the phone to call the one person who could help her. Dialing the number from memory, she hoped the other woman would answer.
“Liz? What’s wrong?” came the voice, dripping with concern.
“I need your help. I think I’m starting to remember things—events and people—I shouldn’t know. I need you here. Is it possible for you to get here?” Liz said almost in tears from confusion and pain; images assaulting her mind.
“Yeah, Kyle and I can be there by tomorrow if you want. No prob. Him and I can switch off and drive through the night.”
“You know, I kind of miss your accent. Is it Kyle or Buddha rubbing off on you?” Liz teased.
“A’ight, Cornball. Tha’s ‘nuff outta ya.”
“Yeah, yeah. Hey. Thanks Ava.”
“Whateva. We’ll be there tomorrow,” Ava said, reverting back into her new accent.
Liz leaned back into her lawn chair on the balcony and tried to relax enough for her headache to ease. Thoughts of her friends filled her mind, drowning out the “supposed” memories, or maybe they were fantasies. Fantasies of a long-lost love, of passion filled kisses, of loving embraces.
She didn’t know what to think any more, but she hoped Ava could help. If not, she didn’t know who else to go to. All of her friends minus Kyle and Ava had fled the planet with their worst halves—Maria with Michael, Alex with Isabel, and, of course, Max with Tess. Kyle had grown closer to Ava, who had helped him through the pain Tess had caused him. It wasn’t a rebound; it was just a friend helping out another friend that led to something more and something beautiful. A something Liz was envious to have.

Safe. That’s what she felt when the strong arms of the one she loved wrapped around her waist from behind. Lips on her neck were doing sinful things to her body, making it sing with passion for her lover. She raised her arms to capture the head attached to those lips so the sweet torture did not end before she wanted it to.
“What were you thinking about?” a sexy voice whispered against her, causing a shiver down her spine.
“I was thinking about my sister. She’s gotten in deep, falling in love with the King of Antar. I know he’s your friend and you introduced them, but we all know how power-hungry Kivar is. What’s going to happen when he decides he is sick of being Zan’s puppet?”
“He’ll probably attack the palace, and all we would be able to do is pray they all get out safely. If they do, they will always have a safe place here. It is the least I can do for them for introducing me to you. But Zan will not leave his home unless it is absolutely necessary,” the man stated, holding her closer, trying to protect her from the cold, hard truth.
“When Kivar attacks, he will not leave a single survivor to help the rebellion that is sure to come. Vilandra will not even escape with her life, and they have been lovers since I can remember, fiancé or not. And, of course, Rath will have no chance at all of survival.”
“Kivar would not let one hair on Vilandra’s head be damaged.”
“He might not have a choice in the matter, Amor. If Nicolas is around and Kivar is not, Nicolas will take action and kill Vilandra for his own agenda,” the woman said, as she turned to face the one she loved more than anything else.

Liz woke up from another dream that had been plaguing her for the last month.
I must have passed out. God, I wish I knew his name. I can remember everything else—his lips, his arms, his voice. Alright, Liz, now drooling, Liz thought as she stood up to stretch her aching muscles. The lawn chair was definitely not a good place to go to sleep in.
Liz sighed and made her way back into her quiet, one bedroom apartment. It was small, but it was exactly what she wanted. The second she saw it, she had to have it. Living with her parents wasn’t cutting it anymore. It had a pretty good size bedroom, which would hold a king size bed and still have room to walk around in, a very large bathroom with a shower and bathtub to soak in, a kind of small kitchen, and a decent size living room for when guests decided to come over. With it only being her still living in town, though, the only people most likely to visit her, were her parents.
With the thoughts of her parents, came another vision to the forefront of her mind.
”What are you talking about? He is neutral. It shouldn’t matter if he is friends with Zan or not,” she argued with a man and a woman, their faces clouded in darkness.
“We don’t want you to make the same mistake Ava did,” the man said.
“Ava didn’t make a mistake. She married the man she loved. It doesn’t matter if he is a king or a peasant,” Liz reasoned. “I agree full force with her. If he makes her happy, then so be it. It’s the same with Larek and me. We love each other. You can both consent to our relationship and be part of our lives, or you can disapprove and never see us again.”
“Eliza, please, be reasonable…”
“Be reasonable? What? Like you were with Ava when she told you about wanting to marry Zan? I don’t think so. For me, it’s one of the two. Ava was willing to compromise, but I will not lower myself to your demands. You were not even there for me and Ava growing up; the only reason I’m asking for your approval now is because of Ava. I will do what I want either way, just like she did. But I loved her enough to take her idea into consideration,” Liz said turning toward the door to leave her words to sit in the thoughts of the other two.
“Eliza, wait,” the woman pleaded, stepping out of the shadows to show her face to the younger woman.
Liz gasped with the shock of seeing her present mother in her vision. “Oh my God! They lied to me!”
Liz was fuming. All this time she had been stressing over keeping the alien’s secret from her parents, and they had known the whole time! There would be hell to pay when Ava and Kyle got there. She didn’t need her friends for the confrontation with her parents she was going to have, but she figured they needed to know the truth.
Liz nearly fainted on the spot when she realized it was Larek’s body doing sinful things to her in her dreams. She didn’t understand though. He had taken over Brody’s body twice; why not mention their past to her, if they had a past. That just confused her even more. Did he still love her? Was she not worth his time and love now that she had a relationship with Zan?
Liz sighed and let all her worries go until Ava could get there to either credit or discredit what she had been remembering of their past. And it was memories; she could see every detail, right down to the red waves or the water at Dimaras Rock. The place Larek introduced Zan and Ava; the same place Ava introduced her and Larek, her husband. She wished Brody was still around so they had a chance to make contact with him. Now that she recalled her long-lost past, she missed him even more and missed the sense of safety that always followed where he went.

“Ava!” Liz called out the next afternoon when Kyle’s black mustang drove up in front of her apartment building.
“Liz!” Ava left the bags for Kyle to drag with him and ran up the stairs to a waiting Liz, standing in her doorway.
“I remember! I remember all of it—our parents, Antar, Larek, you! Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Our protector told me, I needed to have patience. That I couldn’t tell you because it could fragment your mind even more when we met.”
“Why didn’t I feel more of a connection with Tess, though? She had the same DNA as you did.”
“We’re more alien than the “Roswell set”, and you were created after we were. You weren’t placed in a pod, but in our mother’s womb to be born,” Ava explained, hugging her sister. “I’ve missed you. I know we’ve always been close, but this feels so much better.”
“I know what you mean,” Liz said, hugging her back. “I miss Larek though. Is there a way we can contact him?”
“I’m not sure. Maybe our parents will know.”
“Oh, I have so many questions for those two,” Liz fumed.
Ava knew their parents were in trouble. She had never seen Liz so pissed off, not in this life and not in the previous life. Their parents better be cautious about how they answer the questions going around in Liz’s mind; it could be hazardous to their health.

There three made an imposing line standing in front of the two older adults, waiting for an answer to the questions Liz had asked.
“We want an answer. Now!” Liz demanded.
“You always were impetuous, Eliza,” her father scowled with disappointment towards her disrespect.
“Maybe I wouldn’t be if you had just told me the truth to begin with!”
“We were trying to protect you from the mistakes you made in the past,” her mother said.
“It wasn’t your decision to make. It was mine. I deserved to know that I was an alien, that I had a life before, and that I had a sister,” Liz stated. “You kept that from me, from both of us. If you don’t answer any of our other questions, at least answer this one: why wasn’t Ava raised with me?”
“We didn’t know where she was,” her mother answered sorrowfully. “We knew she and her husband were sent here to earth, but we didn’t have the coordinates to know exactly where they were; otherwise, we would have raised her and the others. We didn’t know her pod survived the crash until we saw Tess, Ava’s duplicate.”
“Alright,” Ava cut in before Liz could say anything else to escalate the situation. “How do we make contact with Larek?”
Nancy gasped, realizing the gravity of the younger groups plan. They were planning on going back to Larek and back to all the fighting. “You can’t go back there! It’s too dangerous. Please, just stay here where it’s safe.”
“Nowhere is safe anymore, Mother,” Liz said. “Nicolas and Kivar have both been to earth, and Nicolas might still be. We don’t know. What I do know, is I want to go back to my husband, if he’ll have me.”
“We have a device Larek gave us last time he took about Brody’s body for you. He said when you remember to give it to you, and you’ll know how to us it,” Jeff had stayed quiet until that moment, knowing he could not say anything to change the opinion his daughters had of them. “I’ll go get it for you.”
Nancy looked like she was about to object, but she knew how stubborn both women can be when they decided something. They got that from their father, she thought, rolling her eyes.

Liz was sitting on her bed in her room, trying to get up the courage to communicate with Larek. She didn’t know how he would react to her. Would it be good or bad? Did he have another wife and Queen already, or had he waited for her? She was still there, biting her lower lip when Ava sat down and dragged Liz into her arms.
“He still loves you,” she stated, knowing she was right. “He would have waited an eternity for you if he had too. Do not ever doubt that.”
“How do you know?” Liz asked with tears running down her face. “What if he thinks I’m not worth it? He did see me with Max.”
“Because he told me. Right before he left to go to the summit, he came to me and told me he would be waiting when you remembered. He didn’t care how long it took you to remember, he would still be there.”
Liz sniffled at hearing the meaning behind Larek’s words. “Thank you, Ava,” she said hugging the other girl harder. “I think I’m ready now.”
“You were always ready. You just needed that little extra push, like always,” she said as she left the room, closing the door behind her giving Liz some privacy.

The ship landed exactly three weeks from the time it left earth’s atmosphere. It had taken month before that for Larek to get transportation for Liz, Ava, and Kyle. Ava couldn’t let Liz go by herself, and Kyle was not about to let his pregnant wife out of his sight for a minute. It had come as a surprise to them, but they were so excited. They couldn’t wait to have a little girl or boy running around with Ava’s cuteness and Kyle’s personality, although, Liz wasn’t sure if anybody would survive it or not.
The ramp lowered to the beautiful site of a royal blue sky. The crowd didn’t even register to the occupants of the ship until a loud cheering was heard.
Liz looked around at the people she loved and missed. It didn’t matter that she had been gone for nearly twenty years; they still loved her. Finally, she came across the eyes she missed the most. There he stood in front of the crowd with a bouquet of white roses, her Larek, with his green eyes and blond, curly hair.
He opened his arms, and that’s the only invitation she needed. She ran and jumped into his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around her waist. Neither of them cared about the thousands of people there to welcome her home; all that mattered was the moment when his lips finally touched hers again, and they knew their love would survive any trials that came their way, except maybe Kyle and Ava’s little hellion still in the womb.
