'Roswell written the way it ought to be...'
That has me thinking, is there any fanfiction (among the several fanatistic ones) that just did it for you. That Roswell happened the way you thought it should gone and were left satisfied.

Apart from Sylvia's fic "Everything to you", no, no fic did that for me.

WR's Blue Remembered Hills did it for me. It continued the story really well.

There were a couple fics that really worked for me as potential "this is how the show SHOULD have gone" fics:
The Captivated by Darkness series by Ash
The Gravity Series by Rosdeidre
The Homes series by EmilyLuvsRoswell
If Roswell had gone in any of these directions, I would have been perfectly satisfied by the entire series.
There were a couple fics that really worked for me as potential "this is how the show SHOULD have gone" fics:
