Summary:
Its the 19th Century. Max and Isabel Evans are the heirs to Philip and Diane Evans' fortune. Philip, wanting his children to marry an appropriate suitor, decides to betroth them to Tessa Harding and Michael Guerin. Max hates the idea of an arranged marriage, but having being threatened that if he doesnt go through with it he will be cut out of the inheritance, is now trying to put a brave face on it. Isabel, being a romantic, loaths the idea, and is openly furious about it.

Tess, although wishing she could marry for love, is happy that she can marry someone with money as her parents are very unwell. She hopes to get the wedding over with as soon as possible so that she care for them.

Michael is a very formal, mild mannered man in public, but in truth hates everything about the rich society. But he would never tell his strict grandfather who he lives with that, and therefore holds his tongue.

Liz Parker comes of age next week, and as such is having a formal party in which to be "shown off", and for her father to find a suitor. Everyone who is anyone is invited.
Alex is Liz's best friend and works as a butler for the Parkers. The Parkers see him almost as family, but they are desperate to get Liz to marry someone of her own status. Nancy Parker initally wanted her suitor to be "the Evans' boy", but after a buisness dealing went madly awry between Philip and Jeff, Nancy has held her tongue.

Maria is a chef at the Evan's. Max, Philip and Diane hardly notice her existance, but Isabel is beginning to be-friend her.

Kyle is Michaels cousin and is staying with him, as his father died recently, tragically, in a horse accident. Kyle is very lonely and depressed.


Plot line: Starts the morning of Liz's coming of age party.

Isabel dresses Maria up in some of her clothes and manages to get her to the party.

Max sees Liz and at first is vaguely intregued by her, but is ultimately determined to get his fathers inheritance. It takes time for him to come around.

Tess thinks Kyle is "old money" and starts to persue him on the quiet, as a back up.

Well I was thinking about that I would take one other character. Now since I cant take Liz I think Im gonna take Michael if thats alright.
So if its ok with everyone, since Aliza said she would temp how about I take Michael and DreamWeaver has Liz.

Also I suspect that Faith still wants Maria so for now Maria is still reserved for her until she says otherwise. So in that case I will start this off soon
