I've just been accused of being "immature" by my mother, because I left with my brother after he moved out of her apartment after a disagreement.

Oh, yeah ... evidently, I'm "immature" because I don't have children so I don't 'know' what it's like ...


Yeah. O.k. I'm 35, single, childless, pay my own rent, don't ask anyone for favors or money. Don't mooch off of people, go out of my way to help people out, I don't agree with her religious beliefs ... yet I'M THE ONE THAT'S IMMATURE?

Parents suck. It's as simple as that. If it makes you feel any better, I told my Dad that I didn't agree with the way he was raising my niece to be a spoiled brat or the fact that she was allowed to watch Harry Potter but not Wizards of Waverly Place because I quote "Thinking about Wizards is being mean to God." And apparently now I'm jealous and want to have what my niece has. Like I said parents suck.

Parents can see things that aren't there and not see things that are there

When I worked at a daycare the number one thing I'd hear from parents when I would tell them what their kid did during the day was.

"My child wouldn't do that! There must be some mistake!"

You're right KJ. I know if it was my son I'd want to turn a blind eye to it too. The thing that bothers me about it is they'd get upset with Aiden for doing normal toddler stuff and then she'd do things like climb on the furniture, back talk, jump rope in the house, and it was like oh whatever, when if I had been nine years old and doing stuff like that I would've at least gotten sent to my room, or had a toy taken away.

Add in the fact that the whole situation is screwed up in the first place, because the jerk isn't actually related to her and pretty much stole her from the people who are, not to mention made sure that my sister would never get custody again, that I think as the only blood relation that gets to be a part of her life that I have the right to express a problem I have with the way she's being raised, without having it turned into "Oh you're just jealous because you want what she has," when I'm not.

Last week I got a call from my best friends boyfriend he wanted to meet for lunch which is pretty common we are all really close. To my surprised he tells me that he is going to ask my beat friend to marry him and he wants me to make sure she'll like the ring. I so excited and I loved the ring he picked out.

The problem he still has not asked her. Now I tell my best friend everything and we talk everyday and hangout at least 5 times a week. I will never tell her because I want her to be surprised but I swear I am about to explode. I haven't even told my husband because I am so afraid once I tell him I'll never stop telling people.

My mom had to have surgery this week and it kind of freaked me out....even if it was nothing too major.Having to have surgery or spend time in the hospital is my job! I'm the one who always gets cut,has the accident or illness that lands him in the hospital for days.So this is the first time my mom has ever had to go into the hospital since the birth of my baby sister...so like I said it kind of freaked me out for a bit.

killjoy: Is your mom ok now? I hope so. I know the feeling you had regarding your mom. My mom had a surgery for her ear when i was a child and i was scared. It's so scary when something like that happens to a parent.

juliecollard87: I understand that you're dying to share the good news but frankly it will be much much better for your friend to hear it from her boyfriend. Something like that only happens once (hopefully).

I don't have much to complain about right now. I just have a headache. I've been having them too often and i think i should look into that. My friend thinks it's because i think too much.

Well she's not fine she's a bit sore but she's going to be okay.She fall and broke her wrist and had to have a plate put in it to make sure the bone healed in the right place.She's sporting a nice cast and sling right now.It's the first one she's ever broke.....she's way behind me and my dad when it comes to broke bones Hell my dad is missing two ribs due to injuries!

So speaking of surgery. I have one tomorrow at 8am and I'm completely freaked out. I've been cooking all day as a way to distract myself, made bagel's from scratch, cooked a steak dinner, made jello, and now I'm one with things that I can cook and have moved on to sitting her being nervous and wondering how much I'm going to feel and or not feel, as the case may be.

My other complaint is that my bagel's ended up looking like croissants...at least they're tasty.

Well I hope everything turns out alright for you.Don't worry about the surgery and you'll feel better....I know that's easier said then done but its true.Trust me I've had seven operations...and god knows how many just out patient ER trips to get stitches...and after awhile you don't even get nervous

Yes indeed. And now, she doesn't "know" why I'm angry with her. Yesterday ... she calls me at my job to talk about something I posted on my FB. I had to tell her three (3) times that I was not going to discuss it over the phone, while at work.

The woman is dense! I swear to god ... how was I born from her?!
