Carolyn Liz will grow into her new role, and Max will be right there with her to help her. Chris is happy for his sister.





Part 29

It was late when Max escorted Liz to their new quarters. Once they reached the door Max lifted Liz up and carried her into the room.

"Max what are you doing?" Asked Liz
"I am carried you over the threshold."
"Why?"
"It is a custom of a planet far from here in what is known as the Milky way galaxy. The planet is named Earth."
"How did you find out about this custom?"
"We have had scientists studying Earth for a long time. I read some of the research."
"I like this custom."

Max kissed her and carried her to their bed. He placed her down and sat next to her. Liz looked into his eyes and her heart started to race. Liz pulled him close and their lips met in a passionate kiss. Liz moaned as Max's hands started to work at removing her dress. It didn't take long before they had removed each other's clothes. They laid in bed touching every inch of each others body. It had been three years since they had been this intimate with each other. She loved the way he made her feel. Max kissed every inch of her body and before she knew it she felt him place his hard shaft at her entrance.

"Liz?"
"I'm ready Max."

Max kissed her as he slowly pushed into her body. He groaned at how wet and tight she was. Liz let out a moan as his long hard thick shaft filled her. Max smiled down at her then kissed her as he began to thrust into her. Liz wrapped her arms tightly around Max. Liz moaned with each of Max's slow thrusts. She let out a gasp as Max began to suck on her neck. Max started to pick up the pace and thrust harder into his beautiful wife.

"Yes Max! Don't stop." Cried Liz
"God Liz! You feel so good!"

As they made love Liz looked into Max's eyes and the next thing she knew a connection opened between them. Max's life flashed through her mind. At the same time Liz's life flashed through Max's mind. They climaxed but while the flashes ended the connection remained. Liz laid in Max's arms.

"You know that I love you right Princess?" Asked Max
"Yes. But I will never tire of hearing it."

Max kissed her.

"Max?"
"Yeah Liz?"
"Did you experience that connection?"
"Yeah."
"What was that? I mean I have never felt anything like that before."
"I don't know. But I don't think it is a bad thing."
"Neither do I."

The two of them drifted off to sleep in each others arms.

Part 30

Sean slapped Ava knocking her to the floor.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? You should be knocked up by now! You are worthless to me if you can't give me a son!" Yelled Sean
"Ever think you might be the problem? That you might be shooting blanks?"
"Yeah right bitch! No man in my family has ever shot blanks! It has to be you."

Ava felt tears start to fall down her face. She hated that she was trapped married to this monster. Sean hit her again and again until she blacked out.

Carolyn walked through the town house she lived in with her husband in the capital city. Chris had told her that he got this townhouse because he did not want her around his father. He told her only after their wedding how bad his sisters had been treated by his father. Liz had taken a lot more of the abuse then Serena. She knew that this was what was best after learning their first child was going to be a girl.

"Is something bothering you Care?"

She turned to find her husband had come looking for her.

"No. Not really. Chris, what if we only have daughters?"
"Then I will be the luckiest man alive. To have little girls that will be as beautiful as their mother."
"But then your family name will end."
"Not really. My father has a younger brother who left the family to become a farmer."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Uncle Peter. I went to his farm a couple times as a kid. Neither Liz or Serena have ever been there. My father said proper ladies didn't spend time around dirt and animals."
"I really don't like your father."
"Carolyn, what about me? How do you feel about me?"
"I like you. Chris, when we married I admit I was scared. Not of you. Liz told me that you weren't anything like your father."
"Do you have feelings for me?"
"You are asking if I love you aren't you?"
"Yes. I am asking only because I am falling in love with you. Care, you are this beautiful, smart and sweet woman. Just the kind of woman I would have picked for myself."
"Chris, I am not sure what I feel. But I know that I am not unhappy to be with you. Given more time I can see myself falling in love with you."

Chris smiled and gave her a soft kiss. Then the two of them headed back to bed together.

Part 31

Liz woke next to her husband. Husband she loved the sound of that. She snuggled closer to Max. She felt his arms wrap tighter around her.

*Morning my love*

"Max?"

*Liz, I think I know what this connection is. There is a story my mom use to tell me. I use to think it was a myth. There will one day come a King and Queen that will have a love that is so deep that they will form an unbreakable connection and bond. A connection that will let them speak to each other without words.*
*My nanny told me the same story Max. But until now I never believed it.*

"Liz, you realize that a connection like we seem to have only come once in like every 100 to 150 years." Said Max
"I know."
"Are you sure that you are OK with this?"
"Why wouldn't I be? Max, I love you! I have been in love with you since I was ten years old."
"Wait when you were ten you were always playing tricks on me!"
"Well what did you want me to do? Just come up and kiss you? Do you know what your sister and Maria would have done to me? Not to mention the boys?"
"You know that Michael was always scared you would soak him and the freeze him in a block of ice."
"I only froze the lake once!"
"I know."

Max leaned down and gave Liz a passionate kiss. Which led to them making love.

Serena woke with her heart racing. She had been given a vision from the granalith. A vision that told her that her shy quiet friend Ava was in danger. Sean had beaten her friend because she had not gotten pregnant. She felt tears fall down her face. Ava, was one of the sweetest people on Antar. Serena knowing that she would not be able to get back to sleep so she got up dressed in her robe and headed for the granalith chamber to pray. She was walking across the grounds of the palace when she heard a voice stop her.

"You really shouldn't be out this time of night alone Lady Serena."

She turned and gave her old friend a sad smile.

"Kyle Valenti, a member of the Royal guard. I never would have picked that." Said Serena
"You a guardian is more unbelievable."
"Why do you think that?"
"You were always one of the more wild ones as a child."
"No where near as wild as you my friend."
"That is true."
"So they have you working the night shift?"
"Yes what about you? Don't you return to the temple outside the city soon?"
"In the morning. Then I will begin the last three months of training. I will then return to the palace and work with the guardian here. That will most likely be when my bethrol will be announced."
"Have you been told who you will marry?"
"No. My father does not feel I need to know. Much like Liz didn't."
"I am sorry to hear that. I was told not long ago who I will marry. I only hope that this young lady will be happy with me."
"I am sure that she will be."

Serena then walked off leaving Kyle alone.

"I hope that you will be Rena." Said Kyle

Part 32

Liz climbed out of bed and pulled on Max's shirt and went to sit by the window. She couldn't believe that she was now a married woman. Not only that she was married to the only man she would ever love. She was lost in thought and didn't notice him until he wrapped his arms around her waist. She leaned back against him.

"Are you OK Liz?"
"Yeah."
"Are you sure? I mean you seem so far away."
"Max, you don't need to worry about me. I love you. That is one thing you never need to worry about."
"I never would. I know that this is not going to be easy on you. You are going to be in the spotlight now."
"I will grow use to it."

Max kissed Liz and they headed back to bed.

Kara Guerin had been a doctor for nearly two years. She had a gift for helping the sick or badly injured. Mind you her gift was no where near as strong as Max's. But that came with being a member of the Royal family. She was technically a member of the Royal family. She was a distant member. She was the daughter of King Philip's cousin. So it was not a surprise that she had some ability to heal. But nothing in her schooling had prepared her for the sight before her when Ava was brought in to the medical center. But as soon as Ava was in an exam room she set to work on trying to heal the woman who had been badly beaten. The bruises were easy enough to heal. The broken ribs took more effort as did repairing Ava's cracked skull. But the damage to her lungs and heart were beyond her abilities. While Ava was not in danger of dying at this time. She was still in a lot of pain and the only one that could do more was Max. But he had only been married to Liz a couple of days. She really didn't want to pull him away from his new wife this soon. She had Ava moved to a extended stay room and went to see if that bastard of a husband was around. She walked out to the waiting area to find Sean fighting with three security guards.

"WHERE IS MY WIFE BITCH?!" Yelled Sean
"She is in a coma dumb ass." Said Kara
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN? THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT BITCH!"
"Lord DeLuca, your beating of her nearly killed her."
"This isn't over bitch!"

Kara watched as Sean stormed out of the building. Kara let out a sigh of relief. She then had a message sent to the palace to ask for Max to come and see if he could help Ava.

Kyle watched as Serena left to return to the temple to finish her training. He knew the next time he saw her it would be announced they were to marry. He was not unhappy about the idea of marrying Serena. If he had to admit it even if it was just to himself, he really liked her. He wasn't sure if it was love. But he was sure that he would be able to make her happy. He could only hope that the she would be happy with him.

"You OK Valenti?"

Kyle turned to see Chris standing by him.

"Yeah. I just hope that Serena will take the news that she is to marry me well."
"Serena will be OK. She has calmed a lot since she was younger."
"True. So how do you feel about becoming a father?"
"I am happy. Though Care has not had an easy time during this pregnancy. She has had some bad morning sickness."
"My father said our mom had bad morning sickness with Care."
"I really love your sister Kyle."
"Just take care of her."
"You take care of my baby sister. Just don't be surprised if she takes time in trusting you."
"I won't."

I still don't like the idea of the bride not knowing who she is arranged to marry.
Like Kyle said, I hope he and Serena will be happy together.
And, just as we expected......poor Ava is in a coma. Maybe that will cause the King to get her away from Sean.
