Time Off on Site by 30 Minutes? - Getting Worse?
Hey guys -
I'm just wondering if anyone has figured out if there's a way of getting the time correct for their user (or the site in general)?
Mine is off by 30 minutes (either 30 minutes ahead or 30 minutes behind) and I know that I've chosen the right time zone cause I've checked it enough!
Anyways, any info or help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Ashley

Re: Time Off on Site by 30 Minutes?
Is anyone else noticing this getting worse?
I haven't heard anything on it, but it's 41 minutes slow / 19 minutes fast.
If you put it on the right time zone you're in, you have to add 41 minutes.
If you put it an hour ahead of your time zone (to get closer to the actual time) you have to subtract 19 minutes.
Is there any way to fix it or at least figure out what's causing this? To go from 30 to 23 to 41... it's a wonder we don't just have one time and have everyone working off that!
Anyways, any info would be great - thanks!

Now it's exactly 45 minutes slow. At least for me.
Someone please fix this!

The time in controlled by the server, not the board. Anytime anything happens to the server, the time gets messed up and it's not really a priority. I've requested them to go in and fix the time again so hopefully it will be back to normal shortly.

Random thing that I just noticed regarding the time...
I was just going through the different board themes and if you select the X-Treme theme, the time is exactly right (it currently says 2.18pm, and my laptop clock also says 2.18pm - my time zone is set to GMT-1 because of the clocks changing), but if you choose any of the other themes (I use Brushed Metal), the time is 45 minutes behind (it says 1.33pm, not 2.18pm)!

Is the time thing getting worse? I’m in central standard time, but whenever I set it for that time zone it’s always two hours behind the actual time (one hour if Summer Time/DST is in effect) The only way I can get it to read the right time (or as close to the right time as possible) is if I set it for Eastern Standard time.

It's probably to do with Daylight Savings Time - at least, that's what happens with me (I'm GMT, so 5 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time) - between October and March, I have the clock set to GMT but between March and October, I have to set it one hour ahead to Central European Time/West African time. Apart from that, the time on my profile is only 15 minutes out (it's currently 11.30pm here, but the site tells me it's 11.15pm).CandyDreamQueen wrote:Is the time thing getting worse?
