Re: How to Know When You Are REALLY Obsessed???
Oooch. I'd deliberately avoided buying A New Beginning and Turnabout when I could have gotten them at cover price because they'd been co-authored by Andy Mangels. Mangels is a HACK and I couldn't imagine the books would be worth anything at all to read. But now everyone wants them and I'm wishing I ...

Re: Common Grammatical Errors
There was a movement from 1800's to simplify the "irrational" English spelling of many words. This would simplify the spelling and make it a bit easier on printers using movable type printing presses. It would be easier for the printers, if they could shorten a word, even by one letter. In...

Re: When the heck IS Max's birthday anyway? The Roscanon thread
There wasn't any actual prophesy in the story, except for the message from their mother about them coming back to save Antar. The prophesy in fanfiction derives from Ava's reaction to learning that Max had brought Liz back when she was hurt. It seemed to imply that she recognised that as being somet...

Re: Re:
Here is an error that my beta always has to correct me on. I often use the word “that” when I should use the word “who”. For example, I will write: “Max is the guy that saved my life.” Instead of, “Max is the guy who saved my life.” I believe the rule is that when you’re referring to a person you s...

Re: Common Grammatical Errors
"Younger than me" is correct in that sentance because "me" is the object of 'than.'
If it was written "younger than I was," then you would use I because I is the subject of the phrase "I was".

Re: When the heck IS Max's birthday anyway? The Roscanon thread
Well, as you said, Michael had a LOT more alcohol than Max. Having drunk that much, he probably went straight past the 'no inhibitions' stage to the 'I'm sick as a dog' stage. I think the fact that he kept drinking showed that Michael was experience a lack of inhibitions, like Max. (Having lived wit...

no, it wasn't explained. I believe the fandom explanation is that the aliens used their powers to remove the alcohol from the champagne before drinking it at the wedding.

Did anyone take note that in a recent episode about Eric, (our former Jesse Rameriz, LOL), Eric was staying in the DeLuca Hotel?
It was probably nothing, but I can't help but wonder if it wasn't a nod at Roswell.

[quote="ultimatepickupline"]Okay, here's one that bothers me. Barely vs. Barley Barely is the one people ususally mean. It means something similar to "almost didn't". As in "I just barely got it done." Barley is a grain. As in a food. [quote] While you're talking about ...

Re: Future's Promise*STARTING*(FF, NC-17) SPOT OPEN
OOC: Sorry for the delay. I was hoping to hear something from Athenea before proceeding. Guess I’ll just push on… *Max* I watch and worry as Isabel goes into the dreamwalk. I hold her hand and try to project nothing but re-assurance and calm. Still, I can’t help but worry about what might happen. Wh...
