A chaos started in the place. I wasn't sure what was going on, but I had a feeling that it wasn't anything good. I looked around and then just pulled Tess close to me and we crawled under a table. I looked around at the people running. What was going on? I looked at Tess when she held my hand tighly. This was probably what was wrong after all. I saw Max coming to us.

"Kyle, we gotta get out," he said. I nodded silently and started leaving with Tess. But we got separated when the teens were rushing out.

"Tess" I called for her, but couldn't see her. I looked around. We got completely away from each other.

'What's going in here?' I though. Then there was some purple light near. I put my hand into my pocket. The amulet was glowing. "Woah.." I stared at it. I saw Maria and tried to get her gaze to me somehow, but she didn't notice me. Her amulet was glowing too. I looked at where she was looking.

It was then when I heard the strange words being repeated from that direction. Strange. But yet something that sounded a little familiar. I closed my eyes for a while. Something familiar.

"O Mater Luna, Regina nocis, adiuvo me nunc.." I found myself saying. It was strange. I wondered if it had something to do with the amulet that was now glowing in my hand.

Maria

Kyle emerges from the darkness and also begins chanting. The addition of his voice makes me better able to hear what they are saying.

It's Latin, they are all chanting in Latin, I realize. I repeat the words over and over again in my head and before I know it, I'm saying them aloud also...

I hear more voices join ours and turn to look around. Damn it, that guy Max is still there and it looks like the blonde that had interrupted my talk with Alex earlier along with two others were also there. Towards Max I say, "Get your friends out of here!" Damn, this Hunter was more powerful then we'd handled back in Cali, and now I was having to deal with the fact that one of the people in this place wasn't able to be reached through a mind link. I wouldn't be able to make him forget this.

I turned to the guy and girl that had joined us and reach into their minds a moment catching their names before looking at the brunette and doing the same. Once I had their names, I used my gift to send Alex, Liz, Maria and Kyle a message and made certain it was sent to Mena and Adam as well.

"Alex, Liz, Maria, Kyle, I'm Cameron and this is my brother Adam. If we are going to defeat this Hunter, we need to join hands and focus energy. All you need to do in order to understand is focus on sending me energy and I'll take care of the rest." I returned my focus onto the Hunter who I could see was forming his own energy. Adam, trip him up. He's about to throw a bolt. We can't let him split us up. Not when we just found the others.

As I'm standing there, I feel another presence, one that is strong, dangerous and yet somehow familiar. In my head I hear, If you can't take him out, I will. I made a promise to Mena.

I glance behind the Hunter and my eyes widen. The Son of the Atrox is looking right at me from the shadows and I know that he is more then likely only using the mind link to allow me to see him. Why would you help us? Why would you promise Mena? What did you promise her?

I've known her most of her life and promised to help her protect her charges. With that said I feel the withdrawal from my mind and I can no longer see him in the shadows.

I hide Max with a general mind-warp, I've been practicing this new skill with the Evans since their return and I think I'm getting pretty good at it, although it is still draining. I hold it until I feel Max's arm come around my waist and I allow myself to sway into him for a moment as I relax after the mindwarp. I chastise my body for the thrill that runs through me at the close contact and standing up straight again I follow Max's line of vision.

What's going on? he asks before moving closer to the centre of the room.

I grab his hand, although whether to restrain him, or reassure myself I'm not sure. The girl Max danced with after me is there, chanting in some wierd language, and stranger still, Alex, Liz, Kyle are all in a circle with her. As I survey the scene the man moves and behind him I see a boy with dark hair and.. Maria? She is standing with the others, holding a glowing thing in her hands and chanting as well.

This time it's our joined hands that restrain me as I unconciously move toward my sister and Max pulls me back.
The girl yells at us Get your friends out of here! and I turn back, unsure what to do and hoping Max will know.

Hee hee. So glad that Max's mind is causing Cameron concern. lol. Please let me know if this is okay -- I edit and make Max leave if you prefer...

I see Kyle crawl of from under a table and he joins Maria in some sort of barely audible chant. There's a strange purple glow at the base of her neck and I see it in Liz, too. A pendant of some kind. Oddly, Alex and Kyle are also wearing something similar. Why had I never noticed that they had necklaces?

There was definately something strange going on. The chanting. The levitating. Cameron reacting to a hit on Adam. She looked worried. This 'man' with the glowing eyes was causing her trouble, in spite of the fact that it appeared that the chanting was somehow helping her.

"Get your friends out of here!" she shouts again. I'm distracting her and I don't want to do that. Somehow, in spite of Isabel's earlier suspicions about Cameron, I have a definate feeling that she's the good-guy here -- along with her brother and four of my friend who I had always thought were ordinary humans.

Isabel suggested magic and demons. I'm not ready to go that route. My guess is these are just different aliens from us, although I have to admit the chanting is very odd. It's not something we've ever felt the need for...

In any case, it's clear they're different and they're in trouble. My life-long need to hide gets shelved as I step forward. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I may be rationalizing that if they're hiding, too, they won't expose me. But none of that is in my concious thought. All I know is that I need to help.

Stepping forward, I raise my hand and let loose my power in a teleknetic burst. The 'man' flies back, smacking into the wall with a crash that might have broken bones. I watch as he falls to the ground, waiting to see if he's down, wondering what Cameron and the others will do now...

I'm waiting for Adam to respond but when I saw the Hunter fly back as hard as he had, I knew instantly it wasn't my brothers power that had done that. I turn and I see Max standing there, his hand held out. Somehow, I knew he had done that. Shaking my head I return to the battle at hand and draw in my focus. This disruption in the Hunters concentration has bought me extra time.

As I felt the others doing as I'd said earlier, joining in and sharing their power, I pulled it all, letting it build as I sent one final flow of energy from myself, hitting the Hunter with a jolt from my mind. He seemed to struggle getting to his feet, but as soon as he did, he called out, "The Atrox will hear of this!" Then he was gone, melding into the shadows.

"Damn it!" I exclaimed. This couldn't be good. Now, if the Hunter had realized that it was Max who knocked him down, that it wasn't just the Sons or Daughters.. Damn.

Releasing the hands of those at my side I turned to sigh as I looked at them, "Alright, I suggest we go somewhere away from here and all have a talk." I said, even as I felt a touch on my mind.

I'll delay the Hunter, it will give you seventy-two hours to figure out what you can. I can't wait longer then that otherwise the Atrox will know something is up.

Nodding silently, I knew better then to try to look around, "We have seventy two hours to fill you in and find out whether you're willing to accept who you are and what it means before the Hunter will have informed someone even worse." I glanced at Max, "You and your friends are welcome to come with us to our house, mom can better explain what and who we are."

The Atrox? What the hell is that? I wonder just before the man disappears. Damn, I think and Cameron says the same thing. I thought he was down. Who knew he could do that?

I hear her as she suggests that we all go somewhere-else to talk, but I'm looking at my friends. They all seem to be okay but I won't hesitate to turn on Cameron if I find out they were hurt in some way, or used for some ill purpose. Kyle is the closest to me. I put hand on his shoulder, judging his status, but the touch only confirms what my eyes told me. He seems to be perfectly fine, although his expression shows that he's as confused as I am right now.

Cameron invites us to join her at her house although she'd first addressed only those who had been part of that strange circle with her. I don't know if she understands that all of them are my friends, too. I'm not going to let Liz, or any of them, go off alone with Cameron and Adam until I know more about who they are and what they want with my friends. Seventy-two hours until what?

"If they're going, I'm going," I say as I meet Isabel's eye. I don't want to speak for her, Michael, Tess or Trevor -- and in fact, it might be a good idea to leave someone on the outside in case there's trouble -- but I don't want to keep information from them, either. I have a feeling that Isabel isn't going to be keen to let Cameron alone with Alex, either.

The madness all around continue and maby even incerases as I suprisingly fulfill Max's suggest and help the kids to get out of the frying pan. I glance at Maria and Liz, to see if they're allright for the hundreth time and I see some strange light elicting from some stones.

What the fuck? I think trying to get closer to them. Finnaly the club is almost empty, with only few people inside. I noticed that the strange light isn't comming only from Maria and Liz, Kyle and Alex apparently are also having freeky shining necklaces.

I watch in terror almost paralized, as Max is rising his hand and blasts the man with his power. Did he get out of his mind? Why aren't we getting out of here as well in the first palce?! Oh yes, ouer 'friends' are apparently in this. Well though I gues I wouldn't leave Maria here alone anyway. Not that I care for her at all of course!!!

I'm rushing back to Max's side to help him if necessery but apparently the fight is over. It looks like everyone are more or less fine, only very confused. Yeah and I'm probably the most confused persone... uhm sorry Alien, in here right now. Hell yes I want some explanations! Badly actually! If Max now will tell we're not going anywhere i'm going to strangle him!

But no, he wants to go with 'them'... yes like we wouldn't know that means with Liz Parker, but nevermind.

I nod at his words "Yeah, we're going with them" I glance at Maria, hoping she won't notice.

I have to say, as Max stretches out his arm and throws the wierd guy against the wall a thrill goes through me. He's just so... masculine! I turn to him, amazed, and then it hits me. He just used his powers where everyone can see! All of a sudden it doesn't seem quiet so good, but I guess what's done is done and when I turn back the man has disappeared so I guess it had the intended effect.

The girl from before speaks, but it doesn't make anything clearer. We have seventy two hours to fill you in and find out whether you're willing to accept who you are and what it means before the Hunter will have informed someone even worse. You and your friends are welcome to come with us to our house, mom can better explain what and who we are.

I look back to Max, waiting to see what he wants to do. He's looking at Isabel, with his hand on Kyle's shoulder. He speaks criptically If they're going, I'm going , and then he looks at Micheal, Trevor and me, as if we can make our own decision. Michael decides that he'll go with and even though it worries me to all go someplace strange with someone we've just met. I realise that between Kyle and my sister. I feel a need to go as well.

"I'll go" I say quietly to Max, hoping that's ok.

To say that I am not in the least bit shocked when panic ensues and I turn to see that strange girl fighting some even stranger man, would be a lie. But, it would be an understatement if I said I was shocked to see our human friends move to help out. What the hell? I couldn't understand this. They were all spouting something that sounded Latin and yet it was as though they were doing it out of some habit.

When Max suddenly used a bit of his power to assist, I'm not quite certain how to feel. Should I yell at him for risking our secret, or thank him because Alex was right there and could very well be at risk of being hurt otherwise? Damn it, this just isn't my night. When the discussion is made as to going with this strange girl and the boy, Max said he was going and Tess said the same, as did Michael.

"Well, I'm certainly not going anywhere other then where .. A...my friends are." I say simply, trying to hide how I had almost simply said Alex rather then all of them. Damn, I really need to get my head on straight.
