If you don't mind going that early, I'm sure I can drop by and give you a lift." Erik said, and I gratefully replied.

"Oh, thank you so much! I don't mind going early," I answered, showing my thanks by placing a small kiss on his left cheek. Erik was too nice; I'd never have a shot with him, because he's to good for me. Besides, he probably thought of me in a more brotherly way anyways.

"So what time should I be ready for?" I asked, smiling cheerfully at Erik. I looked over at Lily, Tyler, and James and watched as Oliver talked to them. I saw Sabrina come out of the Crashdown as Marie walked in, so I chanced a hello. "Hey Sabrina!" I called, giving her a wave.

LILY

“I can get a ride,” Christina says with a smile and a wink. I watch her head towards my cousin Erik, before rolling my eyes. Poor Erik, he won’t know what hit him if Christina decides to turn on the charm.

“I guess that means you’re stuck with me then,” I say with a grin towards James. “Pick me up from my house about 8 and don’t be late.”

I chew my lip for a moment as I briefly study James. Thoughts about what he wants to talk to me about, still nag me and I can’t ignore the feeling that whatever it is, it is going to change things between us forever and that freaks me out more then a little.

“I’ll see ya later, Stud.” I say to Tyler, playfully blowing him a kiss. I’m too annoyed with James to do anything other then smile at him. No air kisses for Mr. We have to talk later but I am not going to tell you what about. “Later James,”

“Are you coming back into the Crashdown or going home?” I call over my shoulder to Oliver as I head towards Christina and Erik.

"Christina, stop flirting I want some fries.” I say, mimicking Christina’s earlier words.

MARIE

"Do you want anything to eat or drink Marie?"

“Sure. Can I get an alien blast and some fries.” I say with a nod. I spare another glance out of the window and see that Lily and Christina have both moved away from my brother’s car and are talking to Erick. I sigh to myself. Maybe it would have been worth staying outside if it meant I could have spent a few minutes with Erick.

Turning my attention back to Amy, I give her what I hope is a reassuring smile, “I really wouldn’t worry about tonight. I’m sure that Lily has something at least a little to your taste.”

*Erik*

"So what time should I be ready for?" Christina asks but I'm having a hard time answering her. I'm still dealing with the thought that she'd want to go early.

I shrug my shoulders. "I'm not really too sure." Then I catch sight of Sabrina walking out of the Crash. "She's the one you need to ask." I say as Christina turns to my sister and calls out a hi.

"Sure. Can I get an alien blast and some fries.” I quickly write down her order on my pad and rip the sheet of the pad.

"Sure, no problem" I say with a smile. Its then I notice the direction of her gaze.

Im about to walk away when she turns back to me to say.

"I really wouldn’t worry about tonight. I’m sure that Lily has something at least a little to your taste.”

I just nod and walk away muttering darkly to mysel, "Yeah, if sluts my taste"

I give the order into the kitchen and get back to work.

"Oh, okay, thanks a lot," I said, giving Erik another large grin as I turned to Lily. She must have been done talking to Tyler and James; well, more so James than Tyer, because she was heading towards me and Erik. "Christina, stop flirting I want some fries.” She said, grinning at us.

"Great originality," I said with a smirk and a small glare. "Erik here was just offering me a ride because you decided to run off with James," I added, winking at her.

"Oh, and go get us a table so we can eat something quick. I've gotta go talk to Sabrina," I said as I walked past her towards the girl walking out of the Crashdown.

"Hey, Sabrina, um Erik said he could give me a ride to to party tonight because I kind of need one, so I was wondering what time you guys are going to be leaving, so I can be ready and not make you guys late," I rambled, stopping myself to give her a smile.

Erik shakes his head at mention of eating here at the Crash, "No, let's head home. I'm sure Mom has something sitting on the stove just waiting for us to eat."

He stands and tells teh girls bye before heading off, I call after him. "I'll be right there." Standing up, I look at the girls, "Alright, now don't forget we need to set up and then decide the rest of the sets, plus we have our
announcement to make, which for your information, it's hard not to tell my brother about it." She grinned as the others laughed. "Anyway, remember the trenchcoats to cover our outfits until the unveiling. We don't want lots of people knowing about them ahead of time."

"Just go get out of here with that sexy brother of yours," Leta comments and I laugh.

"Alright, I'll see you girls later." I walk toward the exit, Marie passing by me but I don't say anything other then giving a brief nod before exiting the Crash. Instantly, I see James' car still there and I can tell that Tyler is sitting in the passenger's seat.

I sigh, hoping that tonight it wouldn't just be my outift that was bold. Hoping that I'd catch his attention. Looking over at my brother's car I see Christina standing there talking to him and smile to myself. I hope Erik isn't too nervous. I know he likes Christina and she's a nice girl, maybe some day my brother would get the nerve to say something.

I slowly start to walk over, not really wanting to face people. On stage, I'm fine. I feel almost as though I can do anything. But, off stage, I'm certain that people are just waiting to laugh at me. Or, I'm afraid that I won't measure up to their standards. Erik is the only one that I never feel that way about. Even the girls in my band I find that I worry that something will happen. That I'll dissappoint them.

"Hey Sabrina!" Christina calls out and waves.

I tentatively lift my free hand and wave back. Oh please don't try and talk to me, please? I beg silently.

I watch as Lily starts heading toward them and sigh, hoping that I can just get in the car and out of there before making a fool of myself. I mean, yeah I know all of them, we've grown up together. Our families are really tight, but at gatherings I always remained in the background. The only time I didn't try to be invisible was on stange or simply with Erik.

Christina and Lily talk back and forth kind of and then before I can think, Christina is making her way to me and instantly talking to me. "Hey, Sabrina, um Erik said he could give me a ride to to party tonight because I kind of need one, so I was wondering what time you guys are going to be leaving, so I can be ready and not make you guys late," she says and smiles.

I draw in a deep breath, no way am I going to screw this up for my brother. "Since the party starts at nine, I have to be there by a bit before eight, so figure we'll be by between seven-thirty and quarter till eight." I tell her, shifting my guitar into my other hand. I give her a slight smile and add quietly, "I'll see you then, Christina."

"Okay, I'll be ready before then in case you're early," I said cheerfully, moving away from Sabrina with a wave. "Oh, and Tyler and I are looking forward to hearing your band play tonight," I added, winking at her. I know Tyler likes her and I can't help but hint at it. They'd be so cute together.

Speaking of Tyler I glanced once more over at their car and waved at James and him. Lily looked a bit miffed when she walked away and it's my duty as the friend to find out what's wrong.

As I headed towards the Crashdown's doorway I smiled at Sabrina and Erik and then turned completely around, hoping beyond hope that Lily had gotten us a table. My mind turned back to the party almost instantly as I walked.

Maybe I'll wear something a bit more sensible to the party. I don't want to look like a slut if I want to impress Erik. Wait, where did that come from?

*Erik*

"Since the party starts at nine, I have to be there by a bit before eight, so figure we'll be by between seven-thirty and quarter till eight." Sabrina tells Christina. I silently thank my dear sister for not turning her away. Thought I don't admit it, she somehow knows how I feel about Christina, just as I know her feelings toward Tyler. What a pair we make. The Whitmans going crazy over the Guerins. I can only imagine what our parents would say when they learn of it. Especially with Mom and Michael's history.

"I'll see you then, Christina." Sabrina says as Christina leaves us.

I reach out, take her guitar and place it gently in the back seat before getting into the car. When Sabrina is settled in the front seat I turn to her and give her a reluctant smile.

"Thanks Bre."

"Okay, I'll be ready before then in case you're early," Christina replies, waving as she starts to walk away, "Oh, and Tyler and I are looking forward to hearing your band play tonight," she adds and the knowledge that Tyler was going to be there and that from what his sister said, he was looking forward to listening to the band, made my heart pound. The wink Christina gave me caused me to blush and I watched as she walked away.

Erik takes my guitar case and puts it in the back and I walk around the car, climbing into the passenger's seat. I look over at him to see the smile he offers, "Thanks Bre."

"Don't thank me yet, Erik. I'm going to be the third wheel which could cause things to be awkward for you and Christina. If you want, I could try and find a different ride?" I didn't want to risk doing anything that could mess up his chances with Christina. I knew how he felt about her. "Besides, I'm bound to be even more nerved up, now." I added softly, thinking about her comment about Tyler and the wink. What was that about? Was that her own way of saying she approved? How did she know I was interested in her brother?

Man, all these questions began running through my mind and I screamed mentally. Don't think about it, Sabs. Don't think about it. You have something to do. Don't think about it. Don't think about him. Keep him off of your mind.
