"I know" I say quietly. I sit down on the couch. I shiver...Im so cold...by clothes were pretty much ruined by the fire...and I keep thinking about that kiss....and how whether I would want to or not...I was never going to have that kiss again. And I would certainly never have him kiss me.

As soon as Alex leaves I change into my night suit and fall into bed,exhausted.

But instead of a sound sleep I dream about children and Sebastian.I jump up after one such a dream,sweating and panicking.

"Alex!" I say getting up and hugging him. "Oh thank God your all right" I say thankfully.
