I'm about to argue back about untrusting humans when she explains her name. Graceful beauty is certainly fitting but I doubt it would be good to say that outloud.
"Now is there is anything else you need Alex?"
I grin slightly at that. Okay, I get it, I'm here for way too long.
"I'm really sorry for bothering you for so long, Isabel. If you could just tell your brother that I was here." I say with a smile and am about to leave when I spot a .... well ... dog? Or a cat with a dog's head? A catdog?
"What is that?" I ask with a curious smile as *it* moves closer, growling slightly. I'm about to move forward and pet *it* when it growls louder and more angrily and I slowly take my hand back again. Tilting my head to the side, I smile slightly as I watch it move towards Isabel, careful to not let me out of its sight. Certainly an interesting creature.

Nodding my head I reply,"I definitely will." following him to show him out of the house but he stops once more
"What is that?" he asks and I turn to look in the direction he's looking in and I pat the side of my thigh once,"Come here Cleo.There's no need to growl." I tell my pet sternly
"This is what we call a Cog.It's like a dog but is more independant and amusing like a cat.On Antar is has a different name but here on Earth since it is like a cross between a dog and cat,it's called a Cog." I explain
"She wont' bite,just takes a little while for her to settle down around strangers to make sure they mean me no harm."

"Interesting name." I comment as I crouch down slighlty, still fascinated by Cleo. I wonder if the name is on purpose, as a reminder of the former Egyptian queen.
I smile some more when Cleo thinks that my presence is worth some more growling.

"Oh, that's okay. I assume she's here for your protection and since she doesn#t know me or my intention, it's only natural that she's doing her job." I look a bit more at the 'cog' before smiling up at Isabel.
"Can I pet her before I leave? Who knows when I'll see a cog again?"

"Umm,I'm not sure if that is such a good idea seeing that you've only just met her and she's not used to you.But don't worry,I'm sure if your friend marries my brother you'll be coming around here a lot more.This won't be the last time you'll see a Cog."
It's about time he leaves.I mean why is he hanging around so much.I mean it's nice to meet a human who shows the positive kind of interest in Aliens but this guy is curiosity personified.

"Uhm, there's not really a word that describes it well. I guess you could say i'm a ... scientist." I think about the word for a moment. "Yeah, some sort of scientist. I travel a lot, trying to find ways that will make us stop taking all the recourses out of the planet and find alternative ways to live without destroying the planet."
I glance over at Isabel again. "That's why I'm hoping that Antarians and Humans get along - we surely need all the help we can get."

I give a short derisive laugh,"Oh I'm sure we all will get a long fabulously." I comment sarcastically "Humans like you are few and far between and I'm not going to hold my breath to find out how many of you are there."

Figures! I wouldn't be very surprised if Cleo were suddenly after me because her owner *accidently* gave her a wrong command.
Grabbing my bag, I'm about to leave when I spot something on one of the tables. Walking over, I take the picture and look at it for a moment. Isabel with a baby in her arms. I can't really tell if it is hers or not.
Something's off with Isabel's face and it takes me a moment to get it. She is smiling but her eyes look ... incredibly sad. Which is weird, there was no sadness in those brown eyes earlier but on the picture ... I wonder how I could have overlooked it when first seeing it. It's almost ... no ... why would someone be sad when holding a little baby?
