Title: And This is Why Parties Have Strippers
Disclaimer:The characters of "Roswell" belong to Jason Katims, Melinda Metz, WB, and UPN. They are not mine . If I did, Zan would have lived. It would have been a good day. But Seki is totally mine. I also don't own the songs, Amazed or Wicked Games. They are owned by the writers of them and the companies that produced them.
Pairing: Zan/Liz; mention of Kyle/Ava, Jesse/Isabel, past Max/Liz, Isabel/Alex, and Michael/Maria
Rating: Teen
Summary: The group gets together to figure out Zan and Liz's Wedding. Bets are placed, fights break out, and suddenly Liz realizes why Future Max and she eloped in the other timeline.
Author's Note: Happy Birthday for my dear KiaraAlexisKlay!! Thank you, Burningchaos for betaing it... Even when you're on your night meds. The four fics before this one are The Marrying Kind, Who Says Romance Is Dead?, Transmogrification and Spaceman Spiff and Drinking Thinking.

Liz looked at the group of people; it was supposed to be a wedding planning party. Maria, Isabel, and Ava had dragged Michael, Jesse, Kyle and Max to it. Zan had pulled Max out a few minutes into the party to have a heart to heart, or possibly a fist to fist, with his clone.

“So I say she’ll be about ready to pop when this thing actually goes down.” Kyle laughed next to Michael.

“I still think she needs to date me first. I’m the only one of the hybrids that hasn’t gotten any form of action from Liz. I mean even Rath kissed her, how fair is that? I am way sexier than he was.” Michael grumbled in a comical fashion.

“I’m not breaking up with Zan so that I can be the Hybrid’s bicycle. You aren’t getting a ride.” Liz glared.

Michael grimaced as Maria smacked him upside the head. Kyle knew exactly what was next. With a move that reminded everyone that Kyle had been a star football player, he threw himself over the couch and hid behind Ava.

“My big, strong hero,” Ava monotoned.

“So, I still say the wedding flowers should be white roses.” Maria went back to the original conversation.

“White roses? I think Liz is a little… Well, let us just say that white might not be the right color considering she’s living with Zan?” Isabel blinked.

“Are you calling Liz a whore?” Maria narrowed her eyes as she picked up the subtle jab at Liz and ran with it.

“Not a whore… Just not as picky as the rest of us are.” Isabel shot Liz an apologetic look.

“Ok, you just called her a slut. Don’t throw stones, bitch! I remember some glass house jumping on Jesse before Alex’s grave was cold!” Maria stood up, it seemed as though Hurricane season was here again.

“I did not jump Jesse! I grieved for Alex. Don’t even try to tell me I didn’t!” Isabel stood up and walked over to Maria. They glared at each other, nose to nose.

Kyle walked around Ava to stand next the two women. “Ok, here’s the rules. No powers, no low blows at the men around you… And Go!” Kyle threw a hand down next to the women and proceeded to up over the couch back to his hiding spot.

“Valenti, you’re an asshole!” Michael quickly jumped from the couch as Maria and Isabel grabbed at each. They both caught each other’s hair and pulled.

“Personally I think we should tape this and post it on Youtubetm. This can turn to making out at any moment… If we’re lucky.” Kyle laughed from behind Ava.

Michael hid behind Liz. “It’s your apartment. Make them stop!” At Kyle’s comment, he looked over at the hiding man, and then turned back to Liz. “Never mind, I want to watch them make out.”

Liz sighed. “I want lilies. I don’t care what the two of you think you should have at my wedding. I’m paying for it. When you both decide to pony up the money, you can get what ever flower you want.”

Maria and Isabel jumped apart, and stared at Liz like she was nuts. “You don’t want our help?”

“I enjoy your help; I just don’t like dealing with the Wedding Nazi and Wedding Nazi Jr. Zan and I are having enough issues on the wedding song, let alone what everyone is going to be eating. They get what ever my father makes. He’s catering, just like with Ava and Kyle’s wedding.”

“Hopefully he won’t walk in on Amy and Dad making out in the back like he did with ours.” Kyle and Maria shuddered at the thought.

“Thank you for that fantasticly horrific image.” Michael turned green.

“So what are the choices for the song?” Isabel smoothed out her hair and sat back down.

Amazed from Lonestar which is my idea, and Zan wanted the HIM version of Wicked Games.” Liz hung her head. “We can’t agree.”

At that moment, Zan and Max walked back into the apartment. Both were slightly bloody; Zan was nursing a black eye, while Max had a split lip. “What’s going on?” Zan looked around confused.

“Isabel and Maria got into a fight about flowers. We were hoping for a little ‘Girls Gone Wild’, but alas Liz stopped it before it even started.” Kyle looked forlorn. Ava, who had been staying out of the whole ordeal, smacked her husband for the comment.

“We were talking about the wedding. Michael thinks I need to break up with Zan so that he gets a shot.” Liz raised an eyebrow.

“Mikey isn’t going to be breathing for very much longer if he looks at you funny.” Zan glared.

“Michael, don’t even look at Liz if you want to live,” Max added.

“Liz, I like my life. Don’t encourage Max and Zan’s violent side.” Michael glared at Liz and continued sullenly. “If you do throw yourself at me, I’m not taking what’s offered. You had your chance, its over.”

“Good.” Zan and Max said in unison.

“Why did you two fight this time?” Liz rolled her eyes as she placed a hand to her head. She rubbed her forehead in fear of the answer.

“I heard from Kyle’s boyfriend dat Emo showed up at one of your classes. I am not pleased by the music or flowers to woo you away from me.” Zan sneered at the word woo.

“I’m killing Heineken in his sleep.” Liz rubbed her forehead harder.

“Seki isn’t my boyfriend. He scares me, and is only three points on the restraining order list of being legally a stalker.” Kyle whined.

“We have an understanding, now. Seki-boy and I had a talk.” Ava smirked. “He now knows the rules of chasing my hubby.”

“There are rules?” Kyle whimpered.

“There are always rules.” Ava patted Kyle on the cheek.

“And that’s why I don’t want All For Love for our wedding song. Max had that playing on the campus speakers when he tried to talk me out of marrying Zan.” Liz looked over at Zan. “Don’t even try to start anything again. You two have beaten each other up, aren’t you supposed to have a beer or a cherry coke, in your cases, and become best buds?”

“I don’t best buds it with my arch rival.” Zan sneered.

“I don’t want to deal with this; I’m leaving. Isabel, this is why I brought my own car.” Max grumbled and left.

“How is it possible that you break his heart even now? Please, for everyone’s sake, stop.” Isabel grabbed Jesse’s hand and dragged him out of the apartment.

“How am I even giving him hope? What can I do? Stop breathing?” Liz fisted her hands and let out a frustrated screech.

“I’s not into Necro.” Zan smirked. “Bella needs a chill pill, and a good long screw. Me thinks Jesse isn’t giving her what she needs if she’s worried about her little bro’s sex life.”

“Zan, not helping here.” Liz shook her head. Her head dropped to her hands in her lap. “I can’t live worrying if Max will take something the wrong way. That’s why I left for New York. I’m not leaving again just make Isabel happy.”

Ava glared at Zan, motioning for him to comfort Liz.

Michael sat down next to her instead. He looked very uncomfortable as he pulled Liz into his arms. “You can’t let Izzy get to you; she always seemed to think that Max had to ride the short bus... He’s a man. He can take it.” Michael seemed hopeful his words would work.

“Do you mean that, or is this a trick to get Liz not to cry.” Liz’s voice sounded very watery.

“Please don’t cry. I don’t know what to do when women do that.” Michael sounded very uncomfortable at the thought.

“Since this isn’t a party anymore, I’m going to get ice cream. Kyle, Michael, and Zan; leave. We are going to have a girl party.” Maria decided to take charge, and motioned for the men to leave.

Zan walked over, and sat on the other side of Liz. Michael released his hold on her as he transferred her to Zan’s arms.

“No deal, Ria. Outs everyone goes. I needs time with my woman. We need to talk bout stuff.” Zan waved everyone out.

Maria looked reluctant to leave, but let Michael drag her out. Ava leaned down and kissed Liz’s head before she left. “Calls me, if you two need anything.”

Kyle just waved as Ava pulled him with her.

As the door shut, Zan lifted Liz’s head. “Max bother you dat much?”

“It’s just hard. I love you, Zan. Never think that you are a replacement for Max. I love the man who dragged me out to a nightclub the first night we met. I love the man who took a knife for me on the subway. I mean we don’t have most romantic courtship ever made. But it’s our courtship. I don’t need you to sing to me, or paint our initials on a wall that lit up. I enjoy fighting you about your lack of proper English. Or your knack of walking out of the bathroom naked, dripping wet. Actually…” Liz blushed slightly. “I think I like that.”

“I knew there was an inner perv in you.” Zan smirked. “You don’t wish things were different?”

“Every so often I wish you would have come with an instruction manual, but I love you. No, I don’t wish things were differently.” Liz snuggled close. “I mean, who else would have decided to ask me to marry them in the middle of the Crashdown, with my dad manning the register? Only you.”

“You makes me want to be better. I’ve told ya that.” Zan nuzzled Liz. “We’s going to make it. Ya think?”

“I think we’ll be a great married couple. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.” Liz giggled.

“And don’t let anyone tell you dat I won’t do anything to makes you happy.” Zan agreed.
