Me too! I ADORED it! Although I can't really call myself an old-schooler (I discovered NIC in a JD Robb anthology and went from there), I was hugely relieved to find a plot in her newest installment in the series. While I'm generally a smutty kind of girl, i actually found myself getting bored with the whole "I-gotta-screw-everyone-or-else-everyone-will-die-and-it's-my-responsibilty-to-lift-my-skirt-to-save-every-problem-we-encounter" philosophy. I almost didn't blame Ronnie for her little bitch-fest towards Anita up until Nathanial came into the picture.
When it comes to Haven though, I sort of melt and get all gooey inside...it's about time Anita get herself and bad ass man's man, and he was so pissed when he found out the lion's didn't help her, I was glad Anita left them to him.
Also, I can't wait for Blood Noir. I'm sure Jason's story will be great!
