Uh ... I think there is still some kind of error.
I just got an email notice saying that my post - which I had put on "Golddiggers" as soon as the site was up and running back on Friday was rejected because of advertising.
I didn't advertise anything. So, I'm wondering what's going on.

I noticed after the board crashed that a lot of new members had links to spam sites. Reading your post sort of suggests that was a problem? By the way, Thanks to all Mods for your hard work at getting RF back up!

Thank you soooo much for bring this site back up. It's my favorite. Like everyone else I went thru major withdrawals. Thank you Thank you a thousand times.

I'm just glad I could get it all backed up, repaired, and updated without any major losses. You guys don't know how fragile our database is. It's an old and very large database that has gone through several server moves and crashes.
Anytime we have problems now, it takes longer and longer because I can't just slap a band-aid on it and keep going. I don't want to damage the database...which we came close to doing this last time. Losing 10 years worth of posts would be a major catastrophe, and it was specifically our posts table (the part of the database that contains all the posts on the board) that was corrupted.
But thanks to our server hosts (Media Blvd. for the win!), we got that table, and several others, repaired and the entire thing backed up. And we're also backing up every Friday again.
We still have a little bug with our moderator control panel, hence the error of some users getting an email saying their post was rejected due to advertising. Hopefully that hasn't affected too many people, but if it happens to you, just let one of the mods or admins know so we can try to narrow down the problem.
So thank you all for your patience throughout this whole thing. I'm sorry it took so long, but I'm relieved that we're all back up and running and nothing exploded in the process.
