Hey everyone, Thank you all so very very much for the feed back, I really love reading what everyone thinks. I know this isnt what you all expected but I just went and started writing and this is what came out. I decided to do this because my two nephews and niece are coming to stay with me for ten days and then I am spending all of August out of town where I wont have computer access so I am trying to get all my writing juice out for you guys now. Then I will have tons of time during my vacation when I am not busy. I have come to the conclusion, considering I just contradicted myself that either you'll get many post (every 3 days ish) or just two or three before I go. Hopefully more. Feed back definitely inspires me though
This part is a bit short cause I wanted to get this out but there will be more tomorrow I hope. Thanks again everyone.
Part 11A
“Have a seat, do you want something to drink or eat?” I offer
As he takes a seat he shakes his head. I’m not really sure where to start or how to approach the subject. I’m not sure what my feelings are, I mean I know I want him but I also know that what he did was wrong.
“Listen Max, I just want to say I’m sorry for saying what I did about your parents. I honestly didn’t even think before I blurted that out. If I had been thinking, I never would have thought that.” I say to him.
He nods and looks at me with a tight smile.
“I’m sorry too Liz, I should have been truthful from the beginning. I was just scared and nervous.” He pauses
Before he has a chance to say anything I interrupt.
“Tess came and talked to me.”
From the look on his face, he had no idea. That actually makes me feel better, knowing he came on his own.
“She told me absolutely everything, I think.”
I look him straight in the eyes so he knows that I know.
“I’ve thought a lot about the whole prostitution thing and I hope that you wouldn’t go to that voluntarily. I als-..”
“Liz I wouldn’t, it was-..” I raise my hand, stopping him mid sentence.
“I know Max, Michael took you there. Although I think you could have objected, I know that things aren’t always that easy. I also want to know why I’ve never heard of this Michael before. But later.”
Taking a pause I look up at Max, and before I do what I have to do, I need him to explain it to me.
“Maybe you could tell me your version?” I quietly prod
He nods and turns fully to me.
“I hadn’t had sex in awhile and Mike thought this was a solution. I totally didn’t but it’s hard to turn that kind of thing down. I hadn’t been with a woman in a long time, Michael made fun of me enough for that but if I would have walked away then, man I don’t want to think about the grilling I would have gotten. Not to mention a bunch of ladies standing there waiting for me to say something.” He pauses, takes a deep breath then looks me straight in the eyes
“and honestly, I wanted to. After I regretted it and then Tess called and said she was pregnant. She said it was mine and I truly believe her. The guys that go there arent usually young studs. They’re older men with money and if that’s what she was after she would have lied and said it was one of theirs. I’m going to be getting a little baby soon and I can’t wait. I’m already in love with her.”
The smile plastered on his face is enough to make me forgive him all over again, because that’s what I’ve done.
I have been waiting for a man that could make me feel in years of being together the way Max has made me feel in less than six months. That is a world record I’m sure.
I cant come up with the name of a past boyfriend that would have the guts to do what Max is doing, by taking on this little life.
Instead of using words I grab his hands in mine and as he looks up I lean over and kiss him.
Pulling away, his eyes are still closed but a smile graces his freshly kissed lips.
“All is good?” he asks me once he finally opens them.
Laughingly I toss my arms around his neck and nod my head.
Just before our lips meet again we’re interrupted by a loud banging on my door.
“I am going to murder whoever is at that door, especially considering I have no friends!”
Max laughs and lies back on the couch while I go open the door.
“WHAT?” I holler before I even see my visitor.
“I need Max” Tess whispers as she collapses in a heap at my feet, dripping in sweat and water.
As soon as I see her I get down on my knees and pull her up to me. I can’t even imagine what she must be feeling because I am shaking like crazy.
“Oh god Tess, Oh god. Oh my god. Max? Here, lean on me. I’ve got you, let me help you. Oh my god! MAX get your ass over here please, oh please.” I yell and desperately plead.
I hear feet scramble and look up to see Max stop dead in his tracks with panic written all over his face. Why isn’t he helping me?
“Max, hello? Would you call an ambulance or something, Tess is hurt!” I yell at him pointing at the phone two feet away.
Realizing he is just not moving, I gently lay Tess down and get up.
Max doesn’t even look at me when I get up and stand in front of him. Why the hell isn’t he moving?
Deciding that Tess needs attention now I run to the phone and dial 911.
“Ya hi, I don’t really have time to divulge all the information, I have a friend at this address apartment 6c who is pregnant and something is really wrong. Please hurry.”
With that I hang up, I know its wrong but I don’t actually know the address yet, off by heart.
“Okay Max snap out of it, Tess and your baby need you okay? An ambulance is on its way.”
As soon as the words leave my mouth Max sprints to Tess and pulls her up carefully.
“Keep her awake Max, I think that’s what you should do.” I say unknowingly.
Oh thank you god, I hear sirens and screeching tires. That has to be them, please let that be them.
“Max there here!” I scream
“PARAMEDICS” I hear a man holler from the stairs
Max does too because he gets up and ushers them in. After a few moments of them getting information from Max and a little from Tess, they put her on a gurney and invite Max in the Ambulance.
He agrees and comes to me with his Jeep keys. “Can you drive stick?” He asks in a rush.
“Ya Max, Ill come to the hospital.”
“Thanks Liz, call Isabel for me too, please?”
Before he lets me respond he runs out to follow the paramedics, leaving me behind, staring at a puddle of blood in my door way.
