Chapter 10- Cream

“Three days till the wedding Lizzie,” Tess singed while walking into the huge kitchen. Everyone else was in the dining room having breakfast. Liz smiled slightly at her sister, because she knew exactly what was coming next before she even spoke the words, “My lasts days before becoming Mrs. Tess Valinti. God, can you imagine settling down with one man for the rest of your life? I say we make the these last few days count.” Liz asked cautiously, “What exactly did you have in mind?” Tess’ face lit up before speaking again, “Well, since you asked…I think we should go clubbing tonight. What do you say?”

Liz was actually considering the thought. A night on the town sounded fun. Even the thought of dancing in a hot and steamy clubs had its appealing sides. “Alright but only on one condition. We bring Kyle and the guys along; I don’t think your husband would like it very much if you went to a club without him,” she insisted.

Tess corrected her immediately, “Future husband,” but after thinking about the situation for a moment longer she finally agreed with a sigh. Liz nodded her head with triumph and asked, “So where exactly are we going?”

“So what’s it called again?” Maria shouted from her closet as she threw basically all of her clothes on the floor. Liz shook her head and sighed before answering, “Cream.” Maria immediately turned around and asked, “Cream huh? That sounds promising,” she smiled wickedly before going back to the closet.

“Oh, Maria can I barrow some clothing. I didn’t really bring any of my clubbing clothes with me,” Liz asked although she already knew the answer. Maria was always packed for any occasion. If she had a winter coat and a ski mask in there, Liz still wouldn’t be surprised.

“Of course girly, we gotta make your hunny drool don’t we,” Maria winked before pulling out some really tinny outfits. Liz thought about Maria’s previous comment and smile at the thought. Yeah she was going to make Max drool all over himself when he’d see her.

“Girls get your asses down here or were going to leave with out them,” Alex yelled up the stairs. Max just smirked at him and waited patiently. He was use to waiting for women to get ready, and he pretty much knew that the longer you waited for a women to get ready the more beautiful she’s going to look.

Kyle, Alex, Jesse, and Max were all standing at the edge of the stairs before the beauties came waltzing down the stairs. They all look nice, but the one that caught Max’s attention was the small brunette. Her hair was down and crimped perfectly. He swallowed roughly when his eyes slid down her body. She was wearing rocker, black tight shirt that hung off the shoulders. Under the British flag that was on her shirt were the words spoiled on it. It looked as if it had been torn at the bottom in order to show her perfect stomach. Max groaned when he saw the sexy belly button piercing. The chain on her pleated denim skirt pulled off the final touch of a rocker chic look not to mention the black cross on her neck. God she almost looked like a schoolgirl gone bad.

Maria, who was just behind Liz, had an extremely tight white tank top on with some Pe Pe jeans accompanied by some big silver hoop earrings. Lonnie had a New York tank on and some extremely low baggy pants on, while Tess wore a black dress that was way to short to be worn on any one and even had a slit on the side that went hire.

One by one they went to the front door until it was just Liz and Max. Max couldn’t get over the way she looked, and Liz smiled wickedly and walked towards him until they were mere inches from one another. Feeling each others breath, Max was intoxicated with her. Just when he lent over to kiss her sweet lips, Liz walked past him. She not only brought her lips as close as possible without touching his while walking past but also brushed up against his straining member. It was almost painful the way she caressed it with her body while passing him slowly.

She just smiled knowingly again as she walked out of the door. Every move she did tonight would be on purpose. She was so tired of this cat and mouse game they constantly seemed to be playing. Max always seemed to be in so much control when he was with her …except for last night. She had momentarily seen his guard down completely, and she wanted it to come tumbling down tonight as well. Maybe, just maybe, she could get Max Evans to loose his facade. By the way he looked upon her, she was guessing it wasn’t going to be as hard as she thought it would be.

Well, this was it. They were now standing in front of club Cream. It was huge like a warehouse and the line went all the way down the block. Neon lights and half naked bodies could be seen inside from the windows. “Great, how the hell are we suppost to get into this place? It’s packed,” Lonnie asked as she eyed the crowd, but Tess and Kyle were already up at the front of the line laughing with the bouncer. Tess gestured for them to come over.

Tess introduced them to Brad the bouncer and explained, “Kyle use to be one of the waiters in here, so Brad here is going to let us in.”

As soon as they got in hot air hit their lungs. It smelled like sex and worse it even looked more like sex. Half the girls were basically wearing bras and mini skirts. As for the guy, most of them didn't have any shirts on what so ever. Everyone except Tess was feeling a little over dressed. Liz’s sister of coarse fit right in with the scene.

Kyle just laughed and yelled to them, “Don’t worry they gotta room where you can take a little more of your cloths off and not worry about them getting stolen. Come on.” They went through haft a crowd of bumping and grinding to get to a quiet room on the side. “Hang up your stuff in here, and then get your asses on the dance floor,” Kyle said with a pat on the back to Max before grabbing Tess’ hand and walking out.

“Dam Liz, Your brother in law knows some connections,” Maria whistled while taking of her coat. “No kidding,” Jessie laughed as he took off his shirt, “Any body know what exactly the dress code is in here?” he joked. Maria laughed lightly and said, “I think it’s ‘Less is more, but naked over rules all.’”

Max smiled as he unbuttoned his shirt, but didn’t take it off. Liz glanced over to the sight, but was caught in the act. He smiled wickedly with a cocky grin on his face. She just rolled her eyes and followed Maria out to get a drink at the massive bar.

Electric European music filled the room as hot-bodies grinded into complete strangers. Seduction was definitely in the air. “We’ll have a round of comfortable screw against a walls,” Kyle yelled to the bar tender. It took Liz to realize that that was actually a name of a drink. It was one of those places that had sexual names to different drinks.

After a few Grinding Showers and a couple of Soothing Orgasms, Maria and Liz were ready for some dancing. “ Maria wanna go on the dance floor?” Liz asked as she noticed Maria’s eyes light up. Maria shook her head in mischief and she pointed to a particular area.

When Liz saw what her friend was pointing to, she stood in amazement. There in front of them were six glass and glowing boxes with girls dancing in them. If you wanted to get the opposite sex’s attention, then that’s definitely where you would dance. Each box had a different theme to it. One had an army feel with its camouflage surroundings, the one under it had bars like a jail cell would. The other one on the outside had furs and animal skins hanging over the walls, and the room under it had a sink and bathroom in it. The one that caught both Maria and Liz’s attention however was the one in the middle and on the second floor. It had a business desk and chair in it and was much bigger than the rest. It sort of had a bad girl feeling to it with its leather armchair and wooden hard desk.

Before Liz could think Maria had already pulled her towards the six boxes. Three boxes were on top of the other three, so the girls had to walk up the stairs to get to the one they wanted. Of course some skanky, big-breasted girl was already there, but her best friend prevailed as always by knocking her on her ass. Maria may have been as small as Liz, but God help anyone who gets in her way.

“Come on Lizzie,” Maria said while pulling her into the glass box with her. Liz was a little bit hesitant but when she saw Max in a near by crowd she went along with it. Shaking her hips, Liz went along with the techno music. She couldn’t really get into it until she heard a familiar song blast from the speakers. It was Toni Braxton’s “Your Makin Me High” and it always made her feel sexy. Sometimes she’d even turn up the radio in her room and strip to it. So that’s exactly what she did, she pretended she was in her room listening to the song and doing her sexy dance to it.

Grinding her hips into the hard wood desk, Liz completely lost control and let go. She threw her head back in ecstasy and let her hands roam her body like a lover would. The cheers and catcalls only drove Liz and Maria on.

Maria lustfully sat on the desk with her legs spread wide for her best friend to dance between them. Liz slowly grinded her hips while slowly moving down Maria body. They only smiled when they heard more whistling and cheering coming from the crowd.

Liz was really getting into it until her eyes met lustful ones in the crowd. He was watching her intently. Not only was this an incredible turn on but also let Liz know her little plan was working. She decided to make him pay a little more by rapping her arm around Maria’s neck and slid further down. Thrusting her hips up, she finally let her knees hit the floor. Liz never once let her eyes roam away from his. She wanted him to know that this little dance was for him.

By the time the song was over, Max thought he’d explode from sexual frustration. What killed him the most was that she was watching him every second. The music must have covered half a dozen groans since she’d started her little dance tease. He felt like if he didn’t do something to her body, he’d die right then and there.

She smiled at him and almost gave a knowing grin before getting out of the box and walking towards him. He was standing at the bar playing a spectator, but when she walked up to him he couldn’t resist but do something.

Liz gasped when he took her by the hand and led them into the crowded dance floor. The temperature felt like a hundred and one in there when he brought her skin against his before grinding to the sexy music. Breath was no longer an option when he pushed his knee between her legs and pressed it against her core. Letting a moan escape her mouth, she caressed his chest with her fingertips.

‘Jesus, she feels so good,” he thought while his hips rubbed against hers perfectly, and yes he did realize how close they were to actually having sex. Of course he did, it was the only thing he was thinking about. It was painful to know how good she would feel dancing without her cloths, because without the clothes they would be right back at that night after the party. That night when she was drunk with alcohol and he was drunk from her.

Slowly, Liz let her hand go up his shoulders and let the unbutton shirt fall to the floor. She’d never seen any thing more masculine and gorgeous as this boy in front of her. He practically glowed in the purple lighting above. Deciding to be bold, she brought her lips to his chest and sucked a dark nipple into her mouth.

He hissed the words, “Fuck,” before grabbing her hips and pushing them straight in to the one thing that needed her attention, and it needed her desperately. Breathing increasing, Liz slipped her hand down his chest and ‘innocently’ grazed against his angry member. She reached over and squeezed his ass when he started sucking on her neck with passion.

They couldn’t get close enough to each other. Sweat glistened down their bodies as they kept grinding to the music. Pulling her hair roughly, he began sucking lower and lower on her body. She tasted so sweet like strawberries and whip cream. He was so addicted to her; he craved every inch of her body.

Grabbing on of her legs, he lifted it higher on his hip. She moaned at the sensual angle, and held onto his belt loops for balance. The way he was touching her felt so familiar, but she did know how that was possible. She couldn’t even remember the night they had…

“Baby your burning me alive,” he whispered into her ear. She looked into his eyes that could barely be seen from his wet bangs. He looked so delicious with his sweaty hair and body and he even tasted more delicious and that’s what she wanted to do. She wanted to taste his sweet lips. He must have seen it in her eyes, because he smiled that sweet and love sick smile that she’d only seen once. Where had she seen that smile before?

Before she claimed her lips, she snapped out of her trance when she heard a familiar song. It was Janet Jackson’s Son of a Bitch that blew through the speakers. ‘Oh my God… the elevator,’ she remembered. Images came into her head as the lyrics came into her ears.

Sharp shooter into breakin hearts
A baby gigolo - a sex pistol
Hollerin at everythin that walks
No substance just small talk

Max came to the party in the elevator. He had grabbed her and kissed her with such passion.

Know why you feelin on that girl's behind
You gotta sleezy one track mind

His kiss was so perfect, and then he had brought her to the car and then…

Working your work until you think you find
Who's goin home with you tonight

He took her home. They climbed into her room and then they… they made love. Oh God she remembered EVERYTHING.

Chapter 11-Contrasting

“I remember,” she whispered into the thick and heavy air. “Baby?” Max asked in a heated friction. His eyes were filled with lust, but his brows were scrunched in confusion. He looked so sexy that she almost forgot the subject at hand. She remembered everything about that night. The dreams that she’d been having were not only dreams but also memories of that infamous night. All of the hot sex fantasies did in fact happen between Max and her. Visions of Max hovering up and down her body made her feel dizzy and unbalanced.

Max started to get worried about Liz’s petite body. She looked so confused and faint as well as flushed. Maybe she needed some air. In fact he asked her that, but she only nodded her head. He took her hand gently and led her to the side entrance.

Cold air hit their bodies as Max opened the door and turned to see Liz. He was starting to thing her semtomes were caused by his seducing actions. Maybe he’d come on to her too strongly. “You lying son of a bitch,” she whispered into the empty alley. To say Max was over taken by her words would be an understatement. “I remember that night at the bacheloret party. I remember the elevator. I remember the kiss, and most importantly I remember the night we had lustful SEX,” she yelled the last few words.

Max’s heart stopped a beat when her words spilt into the night. He didn’t know what to say. “How could you say those things to me? How could you make me believe that it was my fault that we had sex? You said that you let me touch you, that you let me do anything I wanted to do to your body, and that you in no way seduced me. You made me feel like scum when you said I used you. When really, you used ME.”

Max finally realized what she was talking about. The morning after the party, he’d cruelly told her that he led her do what she wanted to him and that he never touched her in his own intrest of lust. It was a lie; he had made love to her. Not only because she wanted him to but also because he couldn’t refuse her sweet body. That night he’d had his way with her. After Liz had had her way with him the first time, Max’s body was still in need of hers. So he’d slowly rolled them over and began making love to her all over again and again and again.

“Why Max? Why?” she asked as angry tears threatened to fall from her doe eyes. Max couldn’t speak. He felt so numb inside that it almost hurt. “Well how was I Max huh? Was I a good lay? You’re the expert Max so you tell me,” she asked while folding her arms from the cold. “It wasn’t like that Liz” he whispered a promise to her. She only shook her head before replying, “Then how was it Max? You used me just to have a night of random sex with you’re employer.”

“No,” stated boldly finding his voice at last, “because that night… I truly did want you, I still want you,” he swore out loud once her hurt face came clearly from a street light, “You are so much more to me than plane sex and that night wasn’t some ‘random sex with an employer.’ It was more than that. Dame it ...don’t you get it... You’re all I think about,” he finished in frustration.

“You think about me,” she asked in disbelief. “Yes Liz the escorter, the whore, thinks about you. I can’t get you out of my head. You’re constantly in here,” he said while placing his hand over his heart. “And as much as I wish alcohol hadn’t been involved, I do not regret what happened between us.”

She looked at him with broken eyes and for a moment she didn’t move one body part. When that moment was gone, she started to turn and walk away from him. Max couldn’t bare seeing her run away from him again so he did the only thing he could think of.

Grabbing her arm, he swung her back into his arms and descended his lips. Before he could suck her lips in to his, her hand slapped his face in fury at his attempting action. She hit him again when he tried a second time. Yet he persisted another, and succeeded in an angry and passionate kiss. Liz pulled at his black locks of hair to bring him closer. He heatedly pushed her against the brick wall and groaned in pleasure when her leg pushed between his and rubbed against his straining sex.

“Liz,” he growled painfully at her action. He was so confused at what he was feeling, because his head told him not to get involved but his heart told him she was worth the risk of getting hurt. She was worth every risk and heartache that the world could give him. Because every fiber in his body told him that he was in love.

Cupping her face with his hands, he finished the kiss that was started with anger but was now finishing in tenderness. Max broke away to inhale the cold and venomous air into his lungs. The night’s breeze had her shaking or maybe it was because of him, but he did hope for the latter.

“So what happens now?” she asked with glass eyes. She wasn’t sure what they’d decided on doing about their relationship but she knew they weren’t going to ignore their feelings. This was crazy, but then again so was she. To be obsessed with a male escorter was a bad start in relationship to say the least.

Water hit their hot bodies as they stared at each other in amazement. It was like cold shower after an unbelievably lustful dream. Max gave her one of his dazzling grins and looked up at the sky as he let the rain hit his face. She sighed and smiled right back at him and lightly laughed when it started to rain harder into the alley. “Now… we go inside and get you warmed up,” he laughed as an answer to her last question, but when he looked back into her eyes they weren’t filled with laughter. Her face practically spilled lust.

Max finally realized his words and let out a frustrated sigh before dragging his mouth back to hers. She tasted so good and the thought of ‘warming her up’ put tormenting visions into his mind. It was so strange to feel so hot on the inside but to feel cold water run over their bodies at the same time. It was a complete contradiction and strangely erotic.

Before he regretted doing anything, he pulled away abruptly and led her into the club again. Again a contradiction in temperatures, the heavy air hit their bone-chilled bodies. When Max looked back at her, he almost groaned in agony from the sight. Her wet body and pouty lips drove him almost to the brink of insanity.

He pulled her shaking form to his body and slowly began grinding his pelvis into hers with the music to 'warm her up'. Max let his hands caress her wet and soft arms up and down. It elicited a whimper from Liz as his hand slid over her arms repeatedly. She could almost imagine what those hands would feel like caressing something else.

“Lust fans get ready for lights out. If you’ve never been here before than we’ve got a tasty treat for you. Grab a specimen of the opposite sex or hell the same sex if that's your thang' and have you’re way with them when the light go out,” a deep male voice came over the speakers.

Liz was a little confused until everything went black and the sexy music of Vivian Green’s “Emotional Rollercoster” came on. They could feel the bass hit their bodies as heavy breathing and groans could be heard around them. The announcer might as well have said ‘were switching the lights off so you can switch your hormones on.’

Liz gasped for air desperately when she felt Max’s hand slid down her hip to sneak it’s way up her skirt. ‘Oh Jesus, he was going to be the death of me,’ she thought to herself. She bit her lip and let her head fall back in ecstasy when his fingertips brushed against her panties. Liz couldn't believe he was doing this. She could see him, but she could hear him. His heavy breathing and hot breath came to the side of her ear.

She almost cried out when he finally slipped his fingers inside core. Max gripped her hip with the other hand to balance her and bring her body closer. Whimpering when he slipped his index finger in gently and then out again, she whispered the words ‘don’t tease me’ before he let two fingers slide into her wet caverns.

Groaning into the darkness, Max tried not to let her essence get to me, but Jesus he could fucking smell her. It almost hurt to touch her, because she felt so good and it affected his body as well. Nuzzling into her neck, Liz could feel his eyelashes caress her bare skin just like that night after the party.

The closer he got to her the more she felt his erection and how much he wanted her. Slowly she slipped her hand down his naked chest and ran her hand over his painful anatomy. She received a hiss and another finger inside her body from him. Letting her hand sneak inside his jeans, she lightly caressed him.

Max involuntarily thrusted his hips into her small hand. He was going to die in this sweaty and lustful game of theirs. She just didn’t know how much her slow rhythm affected his tender flesh but he could have sworn that she was doing it on purpose.

Without thinking Max let his hand slip away from her walls and grabbed her working hand that was conveniently in his pants. He guided her to the rhythm that he desperately wanted, no needed. Her hands made him bite his lip in absolute torcher.

Suddenly, the light flashed on when the song started to end. “Fuck,” he whispered before gently pulling her hand away from his needed condition. Liz exhaled air with her flushed face and stared at him with amazement.

“You lying, cheating BITCH,” a familiar voice yelled.

Chapter 12- simple temptation

“You lying, cheating bitch,” the words spiraling couples out of their frenzied emotions including Liz and Max. Looking towards the voice, Liz was correct in her presumption in which the angry words belonged to. Max sweetly claimed her hand and led her to the couple’s path. He knew this was going to happen sooner or later; he’d just hoped it wouldn’t be during such a ‘painful’ moment with Liz.

Liz took a breath to cool her body and emotions down. Her head was making her dizzy as hell, and she definitely could blame Max with that one. She was just glad that she had Max to hang on to in more than one way.

“What the hell is going on here?” the ‘former’ groom to be asked as the bride tried to think of a good answer. “Hey man, I don’t really know who this chick is but I definitely don’t think she’s worth the trouble,” a shamelessly good looking man brushed off the situation before walking away from the scene. He even had the stones to give Liz an appreciative glance over, “I’m sure I can find better,” he spoke heatedly while engulfing Liz’s body. “Fuck off,” Max growled before the stranger held his hands up defeat and backed off to look for another warm body.

“Look, Kyle it’s not what you think,” Tess started with a pleading look. If Liz didn’t know her sister any better than she might have believed her, but the word innocent was a complete contradiction to Tess’ character.

“That’s your reaction? You’re going to tell me while I was standing right here when I caught you sticking your tongue down some random guys throat?” Kyle asked in disbelief. All of this drama had hit the fan all at once, and he was almost overtaken by it. He’d some how lost Tess before the club’s ‘blackout’ took over the building, and then once the lights came back on he was hit with the sight of he his fiancé all over another guy.

“Baby please don’t make a scene,” she asked with teary eyes while trying to reach out to him. The sight made Max roll his eyes inwardly. She actually had the nerve to cry after getting caught. ‘Unbelievable,’ Max thought to himself.

“Don’t touch me Tess. I’m serious you touch me one time and I swear to God…” Kyle yelled although the heavy pounded music of Maria Carey’s Shake It Off overthrew most of his voice. He shook his head at his wife that he had once had complete faith in. Now his whole world was turning upside down.

“What do you want me say?” Tess asked dumbfounded. She just couldn’t believe this was happening, because all she had wanted to do was have a little fun. She didn’t expect to have her fiancé broken hearted.

“You don’t have to say anything, cause I’m leaving,” Kyle shouted in a venomous voice. Turning away from her, Kyle asked Max a silent question and got an understanding node from him. “Come on man, I’ll drive,” Max said in comfort and looked at Liz. “Tess, I’m going to go with Kyle you can get a ride with Lonnie and them okay?” She asked simply while trying not to yell at her sister for her promiscuous behavior that never seemed to end. She knew Tess was her sister, but some times she was proud to say that she was only her half sister and not full blooded. Kyle was an incredible guy, and look what she’d done to him.

Finally once they were out of the parking lot and onto the high way, Liz spoke up quietly, “Kyle I’m so sorry. My sister has always been… open with her relationships in the past. I guess I should have warned you, but I was hoping she had changed.” It was strange but Liz already considered him part of the family, and she’d only known him a couple of days.

“It’s not your fault Liz,” he assured her, “I, in some way, already knew she wasn’t the most faithful person in the world. I guess I didn’t want to admit it.” Silence filled the car until it stopped in front of the Parker’s house.

“Thanks for letting me stay here Liz. I just really don’t want to deal with Tess right now,” he huffed while walking into the dark house. “It’s no problem Kyle. As far as I’m concerned you’re part of the family no matter what happens,” she smiles at him weakly. He pulled her into a needed hug and thanked her once again.

Letting out a small amount of breath, Kyle backed away from Liz uncomfortably and said, “I’m actually kind of tired so… I think I’ll just go crash in the guest room.” Liz and Max stares at him sympathetically while watching Kyle walk towards the hall.

Realizing it’s just the two of them alone in the kitchen, Max turned cowardly towards Liz and offered her a small smile. After everything that had happened at the club, things seemed really complicated. As if on que Liz yawned involuntarily.

Max smiles and says, “Come on,” while wrapping his arms around her waist from the backside and leading her upstairs. “I’ll tuck you in,” he whispered hotly in her ear. She shivered in response making a big smiled Max hold onto her tighter.

Feeling her way through the dark house, Liz found the doorknob to her room. He rubbed her stomach possessively before letting go. She walked over to lamp and turned it on before letting the radio play an oldies radio station lightly in the room of Tori Amos’s Taxi Ride.

Max folded his arms while leaning on the desk as he watched her in a peaceful stare. As soon as she pulled her hair up, he walked towards the drawer to get her sleeping clothes. Being a guy that he was, he picked out the red very short and silk nightgown. It was sleeveless and showed a nice amount of her chest but not enough for him.

She smiled up at him as Max held out the gown. He’d only known her half a weak and he already knew what she was going to do before she actually did it. "Are you going to dress me for bed too?” she asked jokingly, but felt a fever within her body when she saw his serious and heated eyes.

“Do you want me to Liz?” he asked softly even though every part of him on the inside was chaotic. His body was screaming for her to say 'yes' and he held his breath while she thought about it momentarily.

She gave a simple node that brought Max body shaking in anticipation. Walking over to her excruciatingly slow, he breathed in her sweet scent that made parts of his anatomy beg for more. He let his hand caress her arms leaving goose bumps behind them, and finally his hand met with her smooth stomach. His thumb grazed intimately under her shirt. Liz’s intake of breath told him that he was doing something right and so he continued.

Trying to contain his growing lust, Max walked behind her in an effort to show respect for her. This way when he undressed her, he gave her some kind of privacy. It was as gentlemanly as he could be that moment, because he wanted her so much... so much. He also knew if he saw her bare chest, he might not be able to contain himself, and the last thing he wanted Liz to think of him as just another horny and crude guy.

Caressing her curves as he pushed the shirt upwards, Max took in a heavy sigh as more of her back was revealed to him. Her skin completely glowed in amber fire. He inhaled her strawberry scented hair, and almost groaned with the confliction inside of him.

Gracefully letting her arms flow to her sides, Liz could feel his hot breath on her shoulder. She felt so cold and exposed under his intense eyes. He was practically pressed up against him, and she felt his chest rise and fall rapidly. She whimpered when she felt his hardness from behind.

Red was the color of her landere; it was also the color that drove Max to complete insanity. She looked so tempting in his eyes even if the view was behind her, but could he taste the forbidden fruit? Was this fair to her or was it selfish to believe that a woman like Elizabeth Parker could love a man like him? He didn’t have any answers to the questions that ran constantly through his head. The only thing he did know was that he wanted and loved her, and maybe that was enough to make this work. Maybe he could wake up to her every morning for the rest of his life. At least he knew that’s what he wanted. He did simply want her.

He took a long breath before letting his hand glide over her silky shoulder bringing the strap down with it, and then the other followed until her back was completely free from clothing and glowing skin was revealed. Max let out a painful groan that could not be contained.

God this was so wrong; he was just suppost to be an escorter. She didn’t expect to have all these feelings. Men had never been that important to her as Max Evans was. It was perfectly ironic that she had fallen for a man who sells his body to any woman as a job. He probably thought she was a mere fascination, but then again sometimes she wondered. Sometimes he’d look at her with such care and love in his eyes. Max’s words in the alley haunted her. Did he really mean those words?

This position was killing Max. He thought of how little he would have to do in order to see her bare chest. All he had to do was circle around her, and see his angel. He could picture her frazzled look and her perfect body. Then he remembered that this was only about getting her dressed for bed. He wasn’t so sure that was what it was any more. He wasn’t sure he wanted it to be only that.

Max took a deep breath before letting his hands reach around and skim her soft, tender stomach until he reached the hem of her skirt. His hands were shaking, and despite his efforts to keep his cool he knew it all came tumbling down when it came to this girl. God, he’d give up his entire life’s work at being an escorter for this woman. He’d drop it in a second if he thought it could change things, if he could keep her.

His finger slipped inside her skirt to tease before reaching for the belt and unbuckling it. It hit the floor in a thump while Max was already onto unbuttoning her tight skirt. Gripping her hips, he slid the jean material down agonizingly slow until he could see all of her golden legs.

At this point he was in a constant battle in what he wanted to do and in what he should do. He knew he should be a good boy and tuck her in at the end of the night, but he also knew that he wanted her so much.

Finally forcing himself to decide, he raised her arms gently above her head and slipped the flimsy material onto her body. He didn’t want this night to be another regret, and he knew she had been drinking at that club, so had he. His heart couldn’t take another regret from her; he couldn’t survive it.

With a heavy and heated sigh, he led her to the bed. When he looked up to her face finally, he could see frustration and disappointment. Jesus, by the look on her face she wanted him just as much as he wanted her.

He pushed the covers down and took a step back for her to get in, but she didn’t get in. She only watched him with those piercing eyes. “Baby, please …get in the bed,” he whispered to her with closed eyes and a tight, strained face. She swallowed before lying down on the soft sheets.

Liz held her breath when he leaned over and brought the covers around her. He was practically hovering over her with those intense eyes of his. Finally his eyes connected with hers and there was one moment when she thought he’d give into temptation, but it was soon over and he soon reached to turn out the lamp. Bending down farther, he opened his mouth as if to say something and then closed it once again.

He brushed against her sweet lips and kissed her goodnight tenderly, or at least it started that way but as soon as he tasted those lips he wanted more and so did she. Strawberries were his favorite fruit because of her. Now, every time he would eat strawberries he’d think of her tempting lips. The caress from her hand on his cheek reminded him of what he was doing.

Liz looked up into his eyes when he backed away, and she saw such pain and conflict in them. He looked like a tortured soul in anguish. He was trying so hard to do the right thing and keep it professional, but try as he may to hind his feelings she could see the lust and care within him.

Slowly he walked away while never loosing eye contact with her. Max let a heavy sigh out as he backed into the door. He’d be back as soon as she was asleep. It would be less tempting this way if she weren’t awake when he returned.

“Good night Liz Parker,” she heard him say quietly while he walked away. She was left there alone in bed to watch him walk away from her… once again.

Chapter 13- Fighting love

“Kyle?” he asked after knocking on the door and getting no reply. After getting not a wink of sleep the night before, Max had decided on checking up on the former groom.

Finally he decided to open the room with or without his permission. Opening the door slowly and with caution, Max saw him out on the terrace overlooking the view. One could be shown a great view of the sunrise. The air was heavy and softly heated. It smelled like morning.

“Kyle?” Max asked again. Kyle sighed heavily and said, “Hey Max.” His voice had no hope or happiness in it. It was simply broken. Max walked slowly onto the terrace until he was next to him. “ Are you okay?”

Kyle made a rough laugh before shaking his head no. “You know you think you’ve got your whole life planned out. You think you’ll never be like those saps that’d do anything for love. You think it won’t happen to you until one day, one random day, one special day you see her… the most amazing girl you’d ever met and you can’t keep you’re eyes off of her… because you know that she’s the one… that she’s… different ...from all the rest.”

Max took in every single word that he said. He knew he was talking about Tess, but then why did Liz’s face appear in his head while Kyle spoke his words. He also knew that everything he was saying was true, because it had happened to him on a random day, on a special day when he saw her.

“And then your life changes from that second on, because you know that she is the your life,” Kyle whispered in agony. It was the same kind of agony that Max was feeling inside his heart. “God help me… I still love her. After everything that she’s done after everything, I still love her,” tears threatened his eyes as he continued on.

He was truly amazed by Kyle’s words. He’d go through all the fights and problems that would come up if it meant being with her. He’d do anything for her…

“You’re sure that you still want to do this?” Max asked about the wedding. Kyle took a deep breath before nodding his head and turning the corners of his mouth upward to a small smile.

“Okay.”

“Tess can I talk to you for a second?” Liz asked while practically dragging her sister away from the table and into the garden. “Liz…”

“No, Tess, Don’t try and make excuses for yourself. I’m tired of it, so just stop making excuses…” she started. “I wasn’t going to, Liz,” Tess said in an unbelievably soft tone. Her blue eyes, who always seemed cold and empty, now they had sadness and loss of hope.

“Why’d you do it? He’s a good guy…” Liz asked. She didn’t understand why her sister had to be this way. She thought that she had changed, but something caught her. Tess looked so… broken. For the first time in her life she saw her sister desperated about another.

“I love him, Liz. Honestly I do…I,” tears fell from her face when Tess spoke. Liz realized she wasn’t looking at her anymore but at something behind her. She turned around to find Kyle and Max.

He smiled softly before his fiancé came running into his arms. “I’m so sorry, Kyle. I’m so sorry. I just…” Tess began but was cut short when Kyle placed a kiss to her lips and whispered calming words into her ear.

Liz was in awe from the sight before her. When she looked to Max he held a slight smile to his face that let her know everything was going to be okay. She could finally understand that her sister truly loved him and that she was loved back.

Looking past the couple, Max watched his one true love that was mere feet away. Hearing Kyle’s words and seeing his emotion towards Tess, Max finally realized that he wanted to risk everything for Liz. He wanted to take a chance for love.

“Is everything okay?” Serena asked. “It’s getting there,” Kyle whispered while wiping away Tess’ tears, “It’s getting there…”

“Kitties, the limos are waiting,” Nancy chimed while walking downstairs. Everyone was getting packed. They still had to travel quit a distance to get to the church. It would take a whole day to get there, and then there would be one more day till the wedding.

“Bloody hell,” Liz yelled at her mother’s lack of patience. She heard a chuckle from Max’s direction. He lifted his eyebrows at her British term. It was actually adorable.

“Babe, you almost ready?” Maria asked as she breezed into the room. Everyone was pacted except Liz, even Maria the girl who had half a dozen suitcases for just a weekend away from home.

Maria just shook her head as she saw Liz throw clothes into her bag randomly. “You know that wrinkles them? What on earth could distracted you so badly to forget to pack?” Maria asked before slipping a sly smile on her face and looked towards Max, “Oh, I see,” she laughed suggestfully at the two lovebirds.

Liz gave her a nasty look before telling her to go away. “Fine, fine… I’ll just go see what Alex is up to,” she said dramatically before exiting the room.

They still had four more hours to go before they reached the town of where the church was to take place. The transportation was very nice; it was spacious and relaxing. Well, as comfortable as a drive can be for six hours.

Liz sighed and turned up the radio as she laid down with her sunglasses high on her nose. Rolling Stones’ “Beast of Burden” came blaring through the speakers.

“You’re so not a morning person,” Max chuckled lightly as he reclined back in the seat in front of her. They had actually gotten a limo to themselves.

“Well, I usually don’t ride in cars for hours and hours in morning. So if you’re saying I’m grouchy…” she started in annoyance. “I am saying you’re grouchy,” he stated simply with one of his cocky grins of his.

“Shut up,” she said while throwing one of the pillows at him, which hit him right in the head. Max smiled before throwing it right back at her. “Max!”

“What are you twelve?” she asked even though she had a smile tugging at her lips. “Princess, I’m not the one who’s getting all hot and bothered by a pillow,” he laughed. “That’s it,” she exclaimed before throwing the biggest pillow she could find at him. He laughed before grabbing her in a tickle fight. Before he knew it he was straddling and hovering above her.

“Max… okay…okay I give,” she laughed hysterically. When she finally caught her breath, she noticed Max’s eyes glazed. She felt his hands burning her alive on her hips. He couldn’t have been closer to him if he wanted to.

She wiped the bangs out of his face carefully. It was a sweet gesture in Max’s mind and it didn’t go unnoticed. When her hands brushed against his lips, he kissed them sweetly. “Did you mean what you said that night in the club?” she asked with studding eyes.

He was a little taken back by her question, but didn’t even have to think about the answer, “Every word,” he whispered hotly as he stared into those doe eyes of hers.

The door to the limo opened suddenly bringing harsh light into their eyes. “God, we can’t leave these two alone for a minute can we?” Lonnie asked Maria.

“It’s called privacy Lon. Ever heard of it?” Liz asked in frustration. “Well sorry to mess up your little moment but we’re here,” Maria laughed.

“Guess time flies by when you’re getting some,” Lonnie laughed as she lent a hand to Max. He wasn’t, however, prepared for the gorgeous atmosphere. Snow lightly fell to the ground while mountain and valleys could be scene all around. It was simply beautiful with its angel like color. If there were a place that looked like heaven on earth that would be it.

“Wow.”

“You know you still haven’t really told me about yourself,” she said quietly as they sat on the front porch stairs of their cabin. They were both wearing heavy coats and had hot drinks to warm themselves up with.

“What do you want to know?” Max returned with a soulful look. He wanted to tell her everything and anything all she had to do was ask. “What’s your middle name?” she smiled.

“Alexander. What else?” he smiled back. She seemed to go quiet before responding, “Have you ever been in love?” He sucked in a breath before nodding slowly. He wanted to say it was her he was falling for, but he didn’t.

“What else?” he asked gruffly from the harsh cold. She shrugged her shoulders and let her eyes fall to the floor. Max took a long and deep breath before continuing. “Isabel, my sister’s name is Isabel. I grew up Roswell, New Mexico but moved to New York when I was seventeen... I’ve never gotten emotionally involved in my job… but I think I’d miss you even if we’d never met.”

The cold silence surrounded him as Liz took in his heart-felt words, and yet she said nothing. She only reached out for his hand and intertwined it with hers as they sat on the porch contemplating the last few days that they’d spent together. Remembering the airport, the bachelor and bacheloret party, the club, all those moments were cherished. It seemed like they had known each other for a lifetime when in reality it was only a mere weak. Each minute they’d spent together was a year, and every moment apart was an eternity without the other.

Chapter 14- How do I let you go?

“I was nine-teen,” Max said quietly as he sipped the wine from his glass. The inside of the cabin was warm and comforting as candles lit the room in a passionate glow. The fireplace kept them warm with its soft light as night peaked through the windows. A deep red cloth was laid down on the floor for them to sit on. They were both lying on their sides with hand propping up their heads while facing one another. They had talked for about four hours about everything and nothing in life with Sarah McLaughlin playing softly in the background.

“My family was never considered rich, so I had to pay my own way into college, but my paycheck never seemed to be enough to even cover the apartment’s rent. N. Y.C.’s expensive you know? I guess I thought pretty low of myself back then, but for some reason I always got girl’s attention. Maybe it was that whole opposites attract thing, but most of the girls came from money and they were use to getting what they wanted.”

What ravages of spirit
conjured this temperas rage

Liz listened intently even though she didn’t like some of the things he said. He caught her gaze and started on again, “Anyways… one night, one bad night after getting fired from my last job, a girl offered a enough money to pay for my tuition if I slept with her… I was completely broke. I didn’t even think I was going to make it through the next week without quitting school. I regret it now, but… I took the money and gave her what she wanted.”

created you a monster
broken by the rules of love

Tears gracefully fell from her face as the fireplace shined them so. The idea of him thinking of himself as such a low person hurt her to the bone. He was the most amazing person in the word to her, and yet he thought he didn’t belong in it.

and fate has lead you through it
you do what you have to do

He smiled softly at her soft tears before wiping them away with his thumb. When her tears continued to fall, he brought his face to hers and kissed them away. Once he’d tasted her salty tears, he began to kiss her nose, then her forehead, and finally a tender kiss on her sweet lips.

and fate has led you through it
you do what you have to do ...

“Don’t cry baby. It’s not worth your sweet tears,” he whispered into her hair as he nuzzled into her neck like he’d done it for eternity. Her warm arms that had wrapped around him comforted him.

and I have the sense to recognize that
I don't know how to let you go

God he didn’t deserve this; he didn’t deserve her. Yet here he was in her beautiful embrace. He’d had many rich women attracted to him in the past years, but this was the first time he’d ever felt something in return. He felt something in his heart for Elizabeth Parker and he feared… that it was true love.

every moment marked
with apparitions of your soul
I'm ever swiftly moving
trying to escape this desire

Eyelids closed as she felt his hands tease her skin with his gentle caresses and loving fingertips. She was drowned in his sweet and spicy scent.

the yearning to be near you
I do what I have to do
but I have the sense to recognize
that I don't know how
to let you go

He rested his forehead on hers as rational thought ceased to exist. The only thing that was important was in that room. She had him, all she had to do was ask if she could keep him. He’d answer without hesitation; all she had to do was ask.

a glowing ember
burning hot
burning slow
deep within I'm shaken by the violence
of existing for only you

“Max,” she whispered a silent plea into his ear. He looked into her eyes and cupped her face slowly with all the time in the world. He took her like he had an eternity to show her how much she touched him, how much he loved her.

Sucking her lips into his mouth, he caressed them with his as he mimicked what he wanted to do to her body with his tongue. His thumbs brushed against her rosy cheeks before sliding painfully and slowly down to her delicate neck. He watched in awe of her as his eyes followed his hands.

I know I can't be with you
I do what I have to do

Liz sucked in her breath as his hands came to her breast. He was so careful with her that even she thought she’d break. He was now hovering above her with heated eyes and soft hands. He made her feel treasured for the first time in her life and no one had ever done that before. No one had ever made her feel like even though she was falling for him that he would be there to catch her. He would take care of her, not as an obligation but a need to comfort her daily with a smile, a caress, or even a stupid joke. He just wanted her happy, but the thing he didn’t realize was that being with him was more happiness than she could have ever prayed for.

Hands gliding farther downward, he came to the end of her shirt. His thumb brushed underneath the red material and lightly dipped into her belly button. He circled around it before caressing farther down her body. A small groan came from his mouth as he lifted her leg up higher onto his hip. He held it there to feel her warmth and comfort. Taking a deep breath, he let his head rest on her chest; he tried to take her slow but he wanted her so much that it hurt.

I know I can't be with you
I do what I have to do

She slid her hand under his shirt and placed it on his heart. It was beating so fast and yet his movements towards her were so slow and careful. When his shirt slid off of his olive body, she mimicked every movement he’d done to her. Letting every caress be filled with love and every kiss show passion that was boiling inside of her.

Once her chest was bare, he left nothing uncharished or abandoned. He kissed and sucked every part of skin that was revealed as he trailed his lips downward. He kissed the sensitive spot that lay right above her jeans. Placing a hand flat on her stomach, he kept her sweet hips from moving and arching towards him. He lifted his head to give her a small smile before continuing his exploration.

Now that his hand lay on her stomach, he could feel the shallow heaving and the erratic rising of her rib cage. He slipped his hand inside her jeans to caress her hips for a slight second before pulling back again. She whimpered before whispering, “You’re torturing me.”

“I don’t mean to baby. I don’t mean to.”

and I have sense to recognize but
I don't know how to let you go
I don't know how to let you go

He slid her pants down her legs until her all her clothing was gone and all her naked glory possessed him. The fire made a small cracking noise to let them know it was still there because it was long forgotten by the two lovers.

Max groaned loudly once he was inside and her walls caressed him with warmth. His whole life he’d been cold and distant, and now he craved her heat, her body. She was the one thing he couldn’t live without, and he was a fool to once think he could.

He slid inside her once again as Liz place sweet, small kisses on his smooth and flawless chest. He took possession of her lips and drank them with such greed. Letting moans and growls echo inside her mouth, he pushed himself inside and out until he heard her cry out and her walls squeezed him. He gave into her and with a animalistic growl he followed her over the edge.

So there they were, lying together and embracing one another. At that moment the past didn’t matter nor did the future. They simply held onto each other’s body and prayed the moment would last longer. Limbs were tangled and arms were wrapped tightly as they drifted off to sleep in the quiet and warm cabin as night intoxicated the two lovers with dreams, of a world where the circumstances were different and the world was less complicated than it really was. It was a world where he wasn’t a man selling himself for money and she wasn’t a woman who belonged in high class, but a world where they were simply a boy and a girl in love.

… and I just don't know how to let you go.

Chapter 15- Welcome home

“Max… stop,” she lightly laughed as he sucked on her neck hungrily. She didn’t know why, but it was impossible for him to keep his hands off her. “But you taste so good Princess,” he groaned with a sweet smile on his face. They were in the nice and cozy bed of their cabin. They had spent hours repeating a cycle of making love, then afterwards they would caress and kiss each other’s body, and soon after they would find themselves in the thralls of passion once again.

“Why do you call me that?” she asked while trying to lift his head from her neck. “Call you what?” he asked never ceasing to tare his mouth away from her tender neck. It was amazing; she tasted like strawberries on every part of her body, and he meant every part.

“Princess,” she answered with her eyebrow creased in such a cute way that it convinced Max to lift his head with a smile. “It just fits you that’s all. You know, sweet and innocent… perfect,” he finished with one of his dazzling smiles.

She blushed and tried to hide under the sheets. “Oh no, you can’t get rid of me that easily,” he laughed as he followed her under the covers. After a few minutes he had her laughing and gasping for air. The pillows were scattered and the sheets were strewn all of the bed and floor by the time Liz finally gave in and begged Max for mercy.

“Okay… okay I give… I give,” she laughed out from his tickling hands. He had her pinned to the mattress and hands above her head softly. “Mmmm… Liz Parker what am I going to do with you?” he whispered inches away from her mouth. Her lips were no longer forbidden but addictive.

Intertwining her hands in his that still lay above her head, she smiled brightly as him before nuzzling her nose with his. To be so comfortable in such little time was unusual for Liz Parker. She could really be herself when she was with him, and strangely enough that didn’t scare her.

Boom, the door opened without hesitation. I bet you can guess who it was thinking she could come sauntering into the cabin without needed permission.

“Liz, I know. I know you said to not interrupt but it’s really important,” Maria called out with her hands over her eyes as she blindly walked into the room, but sneaking a peak through the spaces between her fingers.

“Maria!” Liz yelled while Max pulled the sheets to cover Liz’s body, and then found enough to cover his own. “Maria I love you, but get the fuck out.”

“Liz, Michael’s here!” she enounced dramatically. Eliciting an equally excited voice from Liz, “He’s here?” Maria nodded her head violently and said, “ He’s at the main building entrance right now. Lonnie just called and told me. So get your ass out of bed and let’s get over there.”

Letting her hand fall from her face, Maria stared at Liz expectantly. “Can you like leave for a few minutes… you know to get dressed,” Liz said dumb founded. “Liz it’s no time to get shy. I need to get over there. You know I’ve seen ya naked before,” Maria asked with irritation.

“Yeah, but you haven’t seen me,” Max finally cut into the fuming girl’s conversation if you could call yelling a conversation. Maria simply rolled her eyes and mumbled, “You’re no fun,” while walking towards the door.

Liz huffed before getting out of bed and slipped on a simple black sleeveless dress that went to mid-thigh and hopped into some leather black boots. She missed the heated stares directed to her by the naked man still lying in bed.

Snapping out of his breathless state, he quickly shoved his pants and shirt on. Liz was just about to kiss him goodbye when she turned around and found him dressed and waiting for her at the door. She stood there in amazement as he held out her leather coat and keys.

“Come on, I don’t think Maria can take much more waiting,” he smiled simply while watching Liz completely dumb founded. He was like Mr. Perfect. Whenever she needed him to be there, he would be there. Whenever she had had drama in her life, he was always there to help her through it. He’d helped her through this entire weekend of drama, and he had… somehow, helped her fall in love finally.

“Liz?” he asked again with the same sweet smile on and the same gentle hand that reached out for hers. “Yeah, I’m coming,” she said with a small smile as she slipped her thin fingers through his thick ones and followed him to the car.

“What the hell took you guys so long? I swear this is like the worst possible moment to have a morning quickie!”

“Are you sure he’s here Maria? Maybe Lonnie got the main lobby mixed up with the…”

“Michael!” Maria screamed as she ran into the arms of a dirty blond-brunette. One would think they hadn’t seen each other in years instead of a couple of months. Max couldn’t really see what he looked like since he had his face permanently attached to Maria’s as they kissed eagerly.

“Jeez, I’d tell them to get a room, but then I would be afraid that they would,” Lonnie teased while standing beside Liz. They all just shook their heads in shame, as the couple didn’t act like they were even there.

After a few coughs and clearing of throats, Maria and Michael finally let go of each other. Michael looked up from his so-called ‘distraction’ to find his Lizzie. “You going to give me a welcome home hug or what,” Michael asked her with a big goofy grin on his face.

She didn’t even hesitate to give Mike, to whom she considered practically her brother, a big hug. “God, I’ve missed you girls,” he whispered into her ear. “I don’t blame ya,” she smiled back. “Okay, okay stop hogging space boy. So how was Canada?” Maria asked as she put an arm around Michael’s waist.

“Well, it didn’t have you two so it was kind of…” he dramatically waited out the rest of his sentence, “…quite.” He laughed when he got two different hands slapping him over the head. “Hey,” Michael said with a node in Max’s direction.

“Oh, Michael this is Max. Max, this mess of a man is Michael,” Maria introduced. They shook hands and made the polite gestures. “ So are you a friend of the family Max?” he asked after giving Lonnie a quick hug. “You could say that,” Max replied ambiguously.

“Oh come on Max you're more than that. He’s Liz’s date to the wedding. They met in New York,” Maria answered as they walked outside of the glass doors. Michael simply nodded and looked back at Max. Liz knew what that meant. He’d always been protective of her especially when it comes to the men she dated.

“So who’s up for Dinner?” Michael quickly changed the subject that would come up again once he got situated. “It’s 10:30, Space boy as in the morning,” Maria rolled her eyes. “Not for me it isn’t. I’ve got major jet-lag so …who’s hungry?”

“Michael we’re just so glad you could make it to the wedding,” Vivian said with one of her infamous, plastic smiles. “Aww…thanks Viv,” Michael said with a strong hint of sarcasm in his voice. Michael never really got along with the family very well. He didn’t see a point as to wear fake expressions of one’s face, and then go gossiping around behind each other’s backs. It just wasn’t his thing.

They had all gathered together in a small restaurant that barely held the whole family. It was nice and quiet, and they had the whole place to themselves. “I wish you could have seen it Michael. One moment we were bored to tears at that ball, then next thing you know, Alex and Max come strutting into the lobby in waiter uniforms…without the shirts. They looked like they belonged to a male strippers society, I swear,” Maria laughed out while everyone else was chuckling along with her. Michael just shook his head in shame. Alex was his old college roomy, and he could actually picture the scene Maria was describing to him because it didn’t come far from what they’d had to do for pledges.

“Oh man, you really did miss a lot,” Jessie stated with a smile. “Nah, I don’t think I missed too much that hasn’t already happened in the Parker and Harding family. I’ve seen a lot of things in my time from this family. It takes a lot to shock me,” he said with confidence.

“ Hey, do you guys remember that time where we lost our bags on our trip to Las Vegas, and Michael, Alex, and Kiv had to strip tease a ladies club so we could get enough money to get to the hotel,” Lonnie reminded them. “Oh my gosh, I forgot all about that. We got like enough money to get to the hotel AND get room service. I still think that's your true calling as a job Alex,” Liz laughed. Alex just bumped his head against the table in humiliation. “Aww… Alex come on it wasn’t that bad; you had some fine ass good moves,” Lonnie tortured him more.

“Can we please talk about something else,” Alex mumbled. “I’m telling you Mike you really missed a lot of drama this last week. First it was the hen and stag parties, then it was the wedding planning, then there was a whole big drama about not even knowing if there was going to be a wedding,” Serena explained. Michael didn’t get a chance to ask about the last part of Serena’s sentence because the bride and groom made an entrance at the doorway.

“Kyle, come here. I want you to meet Michael. He just got in from a fifteen hour flight, so if he’s a bit cranky don’t take it personally,” Alex said with a pat on the back to Michael. “Hell, if I were on an airplane that long, I’d be more than cranky. First class?” Kyle asked. “I wish. I had to take coach since that they jacked up my ticket. It was like being in frigen purgatory for a millennium. After a few hours of sitting next to a crying baby, I was about ready to jump. You’re just lucky I love ya guys enough to put up with that shit,” Michael stated like he was the almighty and gracious one.

He suddenly made a scrunched up face before asking, “So, someone wanna tell me why Kiv is standing outside like a stray dog or what?” Everyone turned his or hers heads to find a very pissed off Kivar staring into the restaurant.

“Son of…” Kyle started before he got up from his chair and walked outside to tell Kivar off. When Kyle didn’t seem to be getting much of a reaction from him, Max got up as well to go outside and deal with Kiv. “Max don’t,” Liz pleaded. “It’s okay. I’ll be right back,” he reassured her with a quick kiss before walking out the door towards Kiv and Kyle.

Michael noticed everyone had worried or interested looks on their faces as they all watched the three men outside. “I did miss a lot when I was gone didn’t I?” Michael asked towards Lonnie. She only laughed dryly before replying, “You have no idea, Mickey G. You have no idea.”

Wham!!!

Chapter 16- With a bigger world, comes bigger problems.

“Oh my God!”

Everyone ran out of the restaurant and towards the two men who were now brutally fighting. “Both of you, stop this NOW,” Liz yelled. It seemed so archaic that men felt the need to settle who wins a woman by using violence. She supposed that she should have felt a boost of her ego when seeing two good looking men fight over her, but it didn’t. For one she didn’t want Max to get hurt, and secondly Kivar had no right to be here. Okay, sure he was the best man, but after the banquet that night she hadn’t expected to see him again.

“Kyle do something!” Tess pleaded, but despite his efforts he couldn’t break up the two men. They didn’t let anything or anyone get in-between there furious blows and punches. Max finally pushed Kivar off of himself and threw a good hit towards his face. He succeeded with a bloody lip.

It took six men of the family to hold both of them back from the trying to kill each other. Kivar still tried to free himself from the other men, while Max gave up along while ago and was released by Michael and Kyle.

“I don’t know what the hell is going on here, but it won’t be tolerated,” Nancy started. “Oh, come on Nance let them kill each other; it’s entertaining,” Vivian chipped in. “Oh, bugger off Vivian. If you need entertainment then go visit one of your gynecologist,” Maria said in irritation. She’d been, what she considered, nice to Mrs. Harding till now, but her last comment was the last straw for Maria, and she meant the very last.

“All of you shut up! Everyone go back into the restaurant except for Kyle, Max, and Kiv. The four of us need to straighten some things out,” Michael ordered. “Oh, that’s typical! Yeah, leave all the men outside to take care of the situation!” Maria exclaimed with sarcasm.

“Maria, please. Take Liz inside,” Michael asked with a calm voice. After a few minutes of studying the situation, she took Liz’s hand and followed the rest of the family into the restaurant.

“Alright, I know I’ve been gone for a week but can someone tell me what the HELL is going on?” Michael finally released his anger that he’d been holding back for Maria’s sake. “Want the short version or the three hour one?” Kyle asked while crossing his arms in exhaustion. “The short version.”

“Kiv can’t keep his fucking hands off of Liz. That’s the fucking problem,” Max said with outrage. “I’m sorry do you own her, Max?” Kivar struck back with equal furry. “Shut up! Kyle, I asked you a question,” Michael said before turning back to Kyle.

“Kiv’s been trying to get back with Liz even though she brought Max as her date for the wedding. At the banquet, he didn’t take no for an answer. He forced her against the wall and held her down, before forcing himself on her,” Kyle was now furious too. The thought of that night irked him to the bone. “How did you know…” Max asked in confusion. “Liz told me,” he stated simply after returning his angry gaze back to Kivar.

Before another word was said, Michael flew his fists into Kiv’s jaw. The second he heard Kyle say the words ‘Liz,’ ‘Kiv,’ and ‘forcing,’ he gave Kiv a sold punch to his face. Sure, Kyle may have gotten the story wrong. Hell, he’d just met Kyle. He could have been lying and he’d known Kiv since he was little, but he didn’t for one-second doubt that the story was false. Michael knew Liz’s ex was scum, even though he considered him a close friend, he was still scum. Kiv desired only one thing in life, and that was to have what he simply couldn’t.

“You fucking hit me?” Kiv asked in disbelief, “ You’d take some guy’s back that you only met a few hours ago than your brother’s?”

“No, I’d protect Liz’s back over yours,” Michael said with unbelievable anger flowing from his mouth. “And we’re not brothers. When I caught you with that slut Courtney, I should have kicked your ass then, but I didn’t because I considered you my brother. We’ve grown up together, but no brother of mine would have ever cheated on Liz.”

Max wiped his bloody mouth with the sleeve of his white shirt before speaking another word, “If I catch you any where near her again, I’ll kill you myself. I doubt any one would miss you.”

With that, Max took a step backwards before turning to go inside the restaurant and check on Liz. Kyle shortly followed afterwards and left Michael and Kiv alone on the streets. A couple of people were staring at the violent event that had only happened moments ago. “Mike, come on man. You know me; I’d never do anything to Liz. You know me,” Kiv tried to convince with a bloody eye.

“Yeah, I know you Kiv. That’s exactly why I’m going to suggest you leave,” Michael stated with anger spilling from his eyes. When Kivar didn’t move a muscle, he lost his last nerve and shouted, “NOW.”

Slowly, while grimacing at his aching bones, he got up on both feet. He never once lost eye contact with Michael. With one final glare, Kivar turned on his heels and left. Little did Michael know, that he wasn’t going to give up his fight so easily. He still had one final card to show, and none of them knew what it was except for one person… Tess.

“So when were you going to tell me?” Michael asked as they sat on the porch drinking in the scenery and tea at the same time. “When the hell was I suppost to tell you Michael? At the restaurant when you asked me how I was? ‘Well, gee Mikey let’s see… the wedding planning has been going smoothly, Kyle seems like a really great guy for my sister, and oh yeah Kivar almost raped me the other night. How’s things with you?’” she stated with sarcasm dripping from her lips.

“No, but you sure as hell could have told me that he was coming to the wedding at least. You could've also told me that your new boy toy Max was coming to the wedding too. Why is Kivar the best man by the way... cause you know Kyle’s never met him until now?” he asked in confusion. “Tess wanted him to be the best man since she… we've known each other since we were little. And you know you haven’t exactly been around these days. What the hell was in Canada that made you go missing for three months anyways?” she defended herself.

“Some family business, it’s not important though. I just wished that… I just wished that I could have been here to kick Kiv’s sorry ass before he got his greasy hands on ya Lizzie,” Michael said in a soft tone while slightly slouching in his chair once again.

“You didn’t have to be here to kick his ass; Max already took care of that part,” she stated simply while thoughts of his face came into mind. “Max, huh?” he asked silently while analyzing Liz’s new man. “Don’t even start, Michael. He’s a good guy so you don’t need to penetrate him with questions like you always do with the men I date,” she gave him a stern look that said ‘I mean it.’

“Just because he’s got a pretty face and knows how to stand up for a girl doesn’t mean he’s a good man. You said the same thing about Kivar, and look how that turned out,” he persisted. He loved Liz; she was like his little sister. That meant he had the right to be worried.

“He’s different Michael. I know him. He’d never cheat on me,” she said while thinking twice about her words. Did she know that? It was after all his job to satisfy woman’s desires. Suddenly everything became clouded and uncertain. This whole thing with her and Max had been so spontaneous and unplanned. She hadn’t even asked the question of what going to happen after the wedding was over. Were they just going to say goodbye and part their separate ways, or did she mean as much to him as he did to her?

“Do you love him?” Michael finally asked with studious eyes. “I don’t know… maybe,” she lied not only to her brother, but to herself as well.

Max made a low and long growl as he stretched out on the bed. Every part of his body ached. He wasn’t really used to throwing punches regularly, but this weekend certainly called for it. Trying to push the angry thoughts away of Kivar, Max turned his head to find Liz standing to the side of the bed.

He really did have to admit that he loved these cabins. They were secluded and private so that no one could disturb them. Well, everyone except Maria, but Liz promised that she wouldn’t be bothering them now that Michael was there to distract her. So no one could possibly hear them for miles. He smiled softly at the thought.

Not moving a single muscle, Liz stood on the hard-woodened floor as she watched his muscles flex as he laid on the cozy bed. It was a bed that she and Max had only been in a few hours ago. Oh, how tempting that bed was.

His eyes turned dark when he watched her to the side of the bed. She looked so much like a lost child, not knowing what to do or say.

“Come here,” he whispered hoarsely. It was a voice filled with passion and want, and she shook her head slowly in opposition. With an animalistic groan he asked her once again to come to him.

His eyes reached out for hers and finally, as her head lifted, he could see the passion that laid within them. As she slowly walked over to the bed, he lifted his body up from the mattress. Max raised his hand to her thigh and pushed her closer to him. Her legs were laid in-between his spreaded ones and her stomach was mere inches in front of his hungry eyes. Licking his dry lips from the sight of her smooth skin, he could already taste her strawberry flavor.

Lifting his hand higher on the back of her thigh until it was under her dress, Max looked back into Liz’s face once he heard her whimper. His index finger laced through her laundere and finally pulled them down her tanned legs.

Out of breath, he rested his head against her slim stomach as his chest rose and fell heavily. Fuck, she would be the death of him. How was he suppost to seduce her when he couldn’t even remember how to breathe? He was suppose to be the one making her short of breath.

With a small push from him, she straddled his lap while giving him a torturing view of how hot she was for him from under her dress. Once her heat connected with the bulge, his control escaped his warm body as his hands grabbed her ass and pushed it more firmly against his painful anatomy. She let out an incredibly sexy noise that made his member twitch in agony.

“Fuck,” he groaned through clenched teeth as she pushed upwards in abandonment. Her lips touched his neck as she sucked and teased his smooth skin with her wet tongue. He could feel her breath on him, and suddenly the room became incredibly hot, almost unbearable. With shaky fingertips, he reached for the buttons on his shirt in hopes of cooling his body temperature down, but as soon as the last button was undone and Liz’s sweet hands pushed it off, it only became warmer and harder to breathe.

His rough fingertips brushed through her light chocolate hair as he took in her sweet smell into his lungs. “Do you know how much I want you?” he asked hoarsely as he tried to kiss her lustful lips. She turned her head to the side and escaped his kiss. She smiled softly when she heard a frustrated growl from his lips.

“Don’t tease me, Liz. Don’t tease,” he whispered. Placing a gentle hand on his behr chest, she pushed him softly to lie back down. She could see his shallow breaths and his frustration boiling inside through his soulful eyes.

Finally giving in, finally giving into him, she let him devour her mouth. She whimpered when he over took her body and pushed her underneath him so he was hovering above. He never once let his mouth escape from her intoxicating and wet lips. Slipping his greedy tongue into her, he mimicked what he wanted and would do to her olive body.

Pushing the dress higher onto her hips, he grinded into her wet heat that stained his jeans. His body began to shake once he smelt her intoxicating arousal. Snaking her hand downwards, Liz slipped her small hand inside of his tight jeans until she found his straining member that begged to be caressed.

“Ugh,” he moaned as she gently rubbed him slowly in an upward and downward position. Her index finger found the tip and rubbed softly on it in circles. He made a torches sound before pushing his hand in between there bodies to find hers and seduced her hand into a faster motion. A man could only take so much.

He thrusted his hips into her hand in hopes of satisfaction, but none came only more frustration and aching. Finally, he pushed the black material off of her slick body so he could taste more of her.

His head arched back once he could take no more of this perfect torture that he would give away for world because as fare he was concerned she was his world from now on that he wanted to protect and cherish her as long as she would have him.

Before he completely lost his control, he gently pushed away her hands and entered into her warm core. With every movement, her walls caressed him. He shut his eyes while trembling at how tight she felt inside. It felt like, the only time he was alive was when he was inside her.

“Liz,” he growled when she squeezed tighter against his angry sex. A ragging sensation of warmth filled his every muscle until they finally climaxed. She held onto him for deer life as he took comfort holding her in his arms. Every thought in his head told him that his weight might hurt her, but every bone in is body protested in moving. When he began to move off of her, she only held onto him tighter while her body still shook from the intensity. He made no protest and sunk back into her comforting body. Threading his hands through her silky locks, he placed soft butterfly kisses to her skin until they were both asleep in each other’s arms.

Placing her wedding dress softly on the hanger, Tess smiled as she thought of tomorrow. She was getting married to the man she loved, and that made everything seem like a fairytale nothing could ruin this moment.

She walked over to the mirror but was terrified to find someone behind her. “Kivar?” she asked in a startled tone. “Hello Tess,” he stated slyly as he let his eyes watch her body for a moment in appreciation. “What the hell are you doing here,” she asked as she felt in the pit of her stomach that something bad was going happen tonight.

“What, I’m not welcome to visit my friend anymore?” he asked in his usual and egocentric tone. “What are you doing here Kivar,” she asked again. “Asking for a favor,” he stated simply. “What are you talking about? I’m getting Kyle,” she said with fear in her voice. “No your not. You’re not going to get Kyle, Tess. You know what you are going to do? You, sweet heart, are going to seduce Max for me.”

Chapter 17- What I am to you...

“What?”

“You heard me Tess. I want you to seduce Max,” he stated calmly while roaming around her room casually. “I want your sister back Tess, and I’ll do whatever I have to in order to get what I want,” he said while finally looking her in the eyes. “She doesn’t want you any more Kivar. Why are you doing this?” she asked with angry eyes.

“Tess, does Kyle know?” he asked in chillingly calm voice. “Know what?” she questioned slowly. She had a very bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. “ Does he know about us?” Finally turning around to show an evil grin. “There’s no us, Kivar,” she returned sternly because she knew exactly where this was going to go.

“Oh, come one don’t tell me you don’t remember that hot night between the two of us,” he teased with cockiness. “I remember the mistake of having too many drinks one night and then waking up in your bed the next morning,” she replied with anger. He wasn’t faltered however by her emotion only amused by it.

“I think Kyle would see it differently Tess,” he smiled back. “Do you actually think you can blackmail me into seducing my own sister’s boyfriend so you can have your way with her?” she asked perplexed.

“Yes,” he answered simply. “ You arrogant son of a bitch!” she replied with slap to his face. He caught her hand before it hit his jaw however and grabbed it with force to his side. She yelped in helplessness.

“Don’t play innocent Tess, you’re not very good at it,” he stood up while speaking his words of venom. “I won’t help you Kivar,” she stated while whipping a tear away and shaking her head in objection to his request.

“Tess, if you don’t do as I say, then Kyle will never marry you. How will your husband feel about his wife sleeping with the best man? You’ve got to admit it’s very strange for you to have me as the best man when he’d never met me before until now. How would it sound Tess?”

Tears slid down her face at the thought of her husband knowing what she did. She had already hurt him, and she promised him and herself that she wouldn’t do it again. No matter what she did, someone was going to get hurt. She had to choose either her sister or her husband.

“Please don’t make me do this Kivar,” she pleaded. He merely shook his head and let her weeping body fall to the floor. As he walked to the door, he turned one last time towards her lifeless body to say, “Just think of it as one of the obligations to your husband as his wife- till death do you part, right Tess?” he stated coldly as he turned and left her their to weep for what was to come tomorrow... her wedding day.

“Come on people we were already supposed to be at the church a half an hour ago. I know you wanna look perfect for the wedding, but I’d actually like to see my own wedding,” Kyle yelled from outside with Jesse and Alex. The limo driver was even starting to get irritated.

“Oh, keep your knickers on Buda boy,” Lonnie retorted with roll of the eyes, “At least you don’t have to where this friken bride’s maid dress.” She ran up to the limo and gave him quick pat on the back before getting into the limo followed moments later by Alex.

The rest of the gussied up people ran out of the building soon after in their tuxes and silk dresses. The bride’s maid dresses were sleeveless, vow cut black dresses that matched the formal tuxedos of the gentlemen’s. It almost seemed comical to see everyone dressed up in the middle of a frozen forest. The snow was starting to melt, and the cold was beginning to flee from the small village.

“I know Tess was going for al fresco, but this is fucking insane,” Michael growled while walking over to one of the limos with his dark sunglasses on. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, he’s just upset that he didn’t get his Starbucks coffee this morning,” Maria joked as she followed Mikey G. A small ‘well what the hell kind of town doesn’t have a Starbucks,’ from inside the limo.

“Max where’s Liz?” Kyle asked. “She said she’d be here in minute. Just go on with out us and we’ll catch up,” Max assured him. “ Oh no you don’t. Kyle we’re going to stay right here until she comes out. I don’t think Tess will like it if her sister missed her wedding just because you two couldn’t get three feet away from the bed with out shagging…”

“Okay, I’m ready,” Liz came down from the steps in a graceful and fast manner. Once she caught Max staring at her, she asked, “What?”

“Nothing, it’s just… you look…” he couldn’t form the words. She looked simply breath taking. Her hair was pinned up with curled pieces forming around her face. It showed that angelic face that he simply fell in love with every time he saw it.

Taking a deep breath, he tried to form the right words, “Your beautiful.”

She smiled as her eyes fell to the ground in a blushing manner. When she looked back into his eyes, she saw his amazement. Finally breaking into their star-crossed stare, Kyle stated, “You do look great Liz, and Max looks great, and I’m know my wedding looks great, so can we please go for crying out loud!”

‘Oh God, I don’t want to do this,’ she thought as she paced the floor anxiously. She didn’t know what to do anymore. No matter what she did, someone was going to get hurt. She had to decide between her husband and her sister. She didn’t know what she’d do if he left her. Because despite all the unloyal things she’d done, she loved him deeply.

‘Tess, if you don’t do as I say, then Kyle will never marry you’ Kivar’s words ran through her head with out mercy. She just didn’t, no couldn’t, bring herself to face the fact that she had gotten herself into this mess.

She ran her hands down her white slip to smooth the silk on her legs. She looked upon her reflection and didn’t even recognize the person in the mirror.

“Tess, have you see Liz around here. I kind of lost her,” Max asked lightly as he stood at the thresh hold. “No, Max I haven’t seen her… could I talk to you for a minute?” she asked with a shaky voice. It was now or never, and the faster it was over with the better.

“Um… yeah I guess. What’s up,” he scratched his ear uncomfortably and walked a few slow steps towards her. “I’m not going to bite you Max,” she gave a small smile before finishing, “…unless you want me to.”

“Excuse me?” he asked hesitantly. “You heard me… you know what’s been on my mind this whole week? Why a guy like you is settling for just one girl. You could have anyone with that pretty face of yours. I bet you get offers all the time, so why is a guy like so caught up in just one girl?”

“First off that girl is your sister, and secondly you are getting married in an hour,” he stated as he backed away. He had a hint to where this was going. He wanted to get out of the room and out of this situation. Not only was she coming on to him, but also on her wedding date. He started to feel very uncomfortable as he glanced at Tess’ slip that showed way too much for him in his position.

“Oh, come Max… what have you got to lose,” she asked seductively.

“Liz,” he answered simply.

“Kivar? What are you doing here?” Liz asked with wide eyes. All she knew was that she had been walking down the hallway before being pulled into one of the church’s rooms. “I had to see you,” breathed in her ear. He basically had her trapped between the wall and his body.

“If Max catches you here, he’ll kill you,” she warned to invoke anything that would make him back off. “Well, can you blame me… I’ve missed you,” he stated while his hands found their way down her arms.

“I think I need to leave now,” she stated as she tried to move past him, but was only blocked by his arm. “Liz, we both know that you’ve missed me too,” he whispered into her neck. He was too fricken’ close.

“Kivar move,” her anger spilt from her words as she placed her hands on his chest and pushed away. He wasn’t affected. “I said MOVE!” she exclaimed before doing something that she should have done a long time again. She gave him a hard kick to the haebos.

She ran out the room as fast as she could. The way Kivar was acting reminded her of that night when he tried to force himself onto her. God, she needed to find Max.

“You know that my sister and I are very much a like. I’m sure if you like her, you’ll like me just the same Max,” she promised as his back met with the wall. “What the hell are you doing Tess?” he said as he grabbed her arm and pushed her away.

She didn’t falter however and leaned in to brush her lips against his. The next moment he heard a soft intake of breath from the other side of the room.

“Liz,” he breathed as he caught sight of her angelic face, a face that now had tears threatening to fall and a betrayed look upon her eyes.

A small sound escaped from her lips before she ran out the door. “Liz,” he yelled as he ran out of the doorway to follow her small figure. Running outside, he could hear faint voice of confusion from Kyle and Michael. He didn’t care, he just needed to catch up with Liz and he could explain.

“Liz, damn it! Would you please stop,” he asked as he grabbed her slightly breathless form with his hands. When she turned to face him, he was hit with an image that broke his heart. He’d never seen her so fragile and hurt, and he had promised himself a long time ago that he would never be the cause of such pain. “Just let me explain,” he said desperately. “Let go of me!” she yelled as she twisted every which way to escape from his controlling hands. “Never,” he whispered feverishly.

“How much?… How much did Tess pay you, Max?” she threw back angrily. “I’m only curious as to how much your worth. I’m mean I’m paying you seven thousand dollars for your services; how much did Tess pay you? "

“She didn’t pay me anything Liz. This is all just a misunderstanding. I swear!” he promised. “Oh, you are right about that. This was ALL a misunderstanding from the very beginning!” she yelled back as she finally escaped his grasp.

“I can’t believe I trusted you! You’re a fucking hooker,” she exclaimed as she ran her hand through her hair and closed her eyes to let single tears fall from her face.

“Don’t do this. Don’t say things that you don’t mean. I know that your angry, but don’t ruin what’s happened between us this weekend,” he swore as his own anger began to rise.

“Oh, this is coming from a man that sells his body for a living. All the things you’ve said to me were lies. You haven’t meant a single word that you’ve said to me have you? It all was just plain and simple business.”

His face fell from all emotion as he stood there to here her cruel words. Is this what she truly thought of him? Is that what she saw him as after all of this… a prostitute.

“Well, you certainly did your job well Mr. Evans. You even made me believe that you actually cared about me,” she stated in a cold and empty voice that set him off.

“I didn’t think of you as a job, I NEVER did. Damn it from the moment I saw you, I knew you weren’t going to be a fucking job. Do you actually think I care about my job? I don’t care about my job, or money, or any other woman besides YOU,” he yelled with the anger that was rising within his body. He didn’t want to fall in love with her at the beginning, but now it was all he ever thought about. She was in his every vessel, and everything that was beating within him wanted her.

“Is that why you were kissing Tess?” she replied with sarcasm. “I didn’t kiss TESS. She kissed me, and don’t go accusing me of cheating. If you want someone to blame, then blame your sister. She’s the one who’s getting married in five minutes!”

“You expect me to believe you! You know that’s exactly why it never would have worked out between us. I could never trust you,” she wiped away the betraying tears as she spoke her words.

“You could never trust me? Why the hell not? I’m mean you believed every fucking word Kivar ever said, a man who arrogantly and repeatedly cheated on you, and you have a problem believing me?” he exclaimed. “I’m not Kivar; you need to get your facts straight, Princess.”

“I know your not Kivar your worse! I believed every lie you said, I was the fool who was paying you to lie in first place. And stop calling me Princess damn it,” she cried out in unbelief, “I’ve been hurt by men before, but no one has ever made me feel cheap and used.”

“Well, welcome to my world Princess. You don’t know the first thing about feeling used. You don’t know the meaning of the word cheap either. While you were being pampered by daddy’s money, I’ve had to take money from women in the exchange of a good lay,” his voice sent chills down her spine. It was the same tone that he’d had the morning after they first made love. The cold and cruel voice that he spoke when she hadn’t remembered that unforgettable night.

“Oh, I’m sorry Princess does the thought of my work upset you. I didn’t mean to get my dirty hands on you, angel. I didn’t mean to taint you,” he whispered as he backed away from her emotionless face.

“Max, everythin’ okay?” Lonnie asked as she walked towards them. “Look, I don’t know what the hell is goin’ on, but there’s a mad hold up on the wedding.”

“Everything is fine Lon. We’ll be there in a minute,” he assured her with a tight face. She nodded and ran back into the church.

“Let’s just call this what it really is for you, a mistake. I should've... I should have never touched you Princess. I knew better. I kept telling myself that it was wrong but I…” she never heard him finish his sentence. Once he was turned away and walking towards the small church, did he finish his sentence with a whisper, “… but you felt so right.”

“We need to talk Kyle,” Tess stated sadly in her white dress. She wasn’t going to lie to him anymore, that’s what had gotten her into this mess to begin with. “What is it?” he asked as he pulled her into his arms. He had a feeling she had something important to say, he also had a feeling that he wasn’t going to like it.

“I want to tell you the truth… about everything; I don’t want to lie to you anymore... Kyle, do you remember those two weeks that you were in Birmingham?”

“Where’s Liz?” Michael asked suspiciously as Max stepped next to him on the alter. “She’s coming,” he answered ambiguously. “You two have an argument or something?” he watched him carefully. After seeing Liz and Max run out of the church, he had a sneaking suspicion that something was wrong. “Or something,” Max returned back.

Michael shook his head slightly before giving his warning, “If you break her heart, I’ll break your legs.” Max turned slightly and looked him in the eye before he opened his mouth as if to say something and shortly closed it after. He wanted to say that it wasn’t going to happen, that he would never hurt her, but he knew that would be a lie. He hated the fact that he had hurt her so badly, that just being who he was, would hurt her.

“I know I don’t deserve you, but I just wanted you to know… despite all I’ve done to hurt you, I do love you. Kivar, that guy at the club… they were all mistakes. I wish I hadn’t, but I did. You’ll never know how much you mean to me, because I always hurt the people I care about. I hurt you, my own sister, Max… I’m sorry Kyle. I’m so sorry,” she whispered.

Kyle stood there as he watched his young bride cry in her wedding gown. He saw that she meant every word, but he just didn’t know what he was going to do. How could he trust her now? He knew that he should walk away from her and the wedding, but then why did his heart tell him not to let go? Why did he want to try and make their marriage work?

“Do you still love me?” he whispered. She gazed into his eyes, and nodded as her tears fell down her cheek, “I always will Kyle... always.”

He reached over and whipped her stained tears away. “Then… let’s walk down to that alter.

“I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride,” the priest proclaimed as claps and cheers were released from the guests. Shampane was opened and graffiti was spilled throw the halls as the celebration continued with life and laughter.

He glanced over the crowds to find the angelic face he longed to touch. She looked fragile and porcelain with her glazed eyes down casted with a sad frown.

Don't hold yourself like that
You'll hurt your knees
I kissed your mouth and back
That's all I need

What had he done? He’d hurt the only person he’d ever loved in his life. She wanted a man… no she deserved a man that would never hurt her, a man that had a calm spirit and kind heart. He knew that that man could never be him, because his life had not brought him to a calm spirit but a stubborn one, and his job had not created a kind heart within him but merely a cold one.

Don't build your world around
Volcanoes melt you down
And what I am to you
Is not real
And what I am to you
You do not need

Soon after the toasts were made, Liz found herself wondering around with the day’s events still running through her mind. Even though crowds of family and friends were all around her, she felt as though she was completely alone in the world. The world was no friend of hers, and she was no friend of the worlds. She was a fool to believe that it brought her Max Evans. No one could tame him nor have him… on the outside? Yes, a woman could have him in a minute if the price was right, but in the heart no one could claim him as her own. She was a fool to think she once could.

And what I am to you
Is not what you mean to me
You give me miles and miles of mountains
And I'll ask for the sea

Tomorrow, everyone would leave and go back to their homes. She would get on a plane with Max, and then she’d never see him again. She’d be left with only a mere memory of what he was, what he almost was, and what he could have been. But only that, a memory, would haunt her.

Glancing upwards, her eyes were captured by his from across the room. His handsome face was carved with worry and perhaps longing. His eyes narrowed to her lips as passion pierced through his watchful gaze.

Don't throw yourself like that
In front of me
I kissed your mouth your back
Is that all you need

He knew what he had to do. Tomorrow he’d have to get on that plane and at the end of the day, he’d have to say goodbye to her. He kept telling himself that he could do it, that cold turkey was the answer, but somewhere within him he felt doubt, that he might not have the care nor will to leave her. She was a kind of woman that’s impossible for a man to leave. She was a kind of woman that haunted a man in his dreams.

No, no, just another phase of finding
what I really need
Is what makes me bleed
Like a new disease

No he’d leave, for her sake, he’d leave her to the charming and rich life she was meant to live. And one day she’d meet a man, and she would make him the happiest man in the world, but that man would simply never be him.

But lord she's still too young to treat
She's still just too young

Chapter 18- This year's love

“Knock, knock,”

She turned her head slightly to be greeted with a weak smile from her sister. “Aren’t you suppose to be on your honey?” she ignored and returned to packing her belongings. “Flight doesn’t leave until tomorrow… and I need to talk with you,” she said quietly as she watched her sister’s hands.

“There’s nothing to talk about. You and I both know what happened this morning… have you told Kyle?” she paused her hand while waiting for an answer.

“Yeah… before the wedding, but now I need to tell you. This kind of has been a day of confession,” she answered faintly, “I feel like I’ve been in church all day.” Liz just shook her head and frowned at her sister’s attempt to lighten the mode.

“I kissed Max… not the other way around,” she promised while keeping her distance, “Last night Kivar was here. He asked me to seduce Max, so he could be with you. He said he’d tell Kyle what I had done, and I just… I didn’t know what to do.”

Her sister just stood there in silence, and drunk in the words Tess spoke. “I guess I was a afraid that I’d never see my husband again, so I did as Kiv told me to. I’m sorry Liz. It’s my fault not Max’s, or even Kivar’s. I put you in this position.” She didn’t receive a piece of emotion from Liz, only a hard and hurt face. She felt naked as her sister scrutinized her every movement and expression. “I’m so sorry baby sis. I’m so sorry,” she whispered, as tears were vulnerable to fall down her face.

When she figured she wasn’t going to get a reaction from her sister nor deserve one, Tess quietly turned to the door. Before leaving the room, she turned and said, “He didn’t give Liz. When I tried to seduce him, he didn’t give in. Do know what he said when I asked him what he had to loose when I tried to seduce him? He said ‘you.’’’

Tess gave a small and gentle smile before saying, “He loves you, you know that?” And in the next moment she was gone.

Max kept his distance through the entire day, and tried to give her space, but now the time had come. Night had taken over and forced him to go to her room. He didn’t want to see her sad face, nor fight with her. However, he knew that was what was probably going to happen not that he blamed her. He deserved it all.

Walking cautiously into her room, he glimpsed around for a small brunette. He didn’t find any signs of where she was, until he heard the running shower in the bathroom. He gulped and closed his eyes.

When she finally came out wearing nothing but small white and fuzzy towel, he swore under his breath as he found himself still in want of her body. She froze when realized he was in the room.

She found herself watching a very sheepish look on his face, that which counteracted the lust in his eyes. Pushing her wet hair out of her face, she grabbed her silk nightgown lying on the bed.

His eyes followed her movements and he practically fell over himself before grumbling the word, “Sorry.” He turned away and aqwardly stood in the middle of the room feeling like an idiot. How did he become so insecure, a week ago if he had seen her in a towel he would have just smirked and enjoyed the view. But now everything was different, he was different.

“It’s fine,” she said before slipping on the dark green, and very short gown. “you can turn around.”

When he finally got the guts to turn, he most regretted it. She was wearing the nightgown that showed the most skin and showed no mercy to any man that looked at her. She was simply gorgeous, not to mention her wet hair that gave her an exotic look. It was definitely going to be along night.

When she cleared her throat, he finally stepped out of his trance and realized he had been caught staring at her. Down casting her eyes slightly, she returned to the bathroom. As the door closed, she could hear a small sigh in the other room coming from her infamous escorter.

Tess’ words kept running through her mind. She even believed them, for some reason she believed her sister. Maybe it was because she wanted it to be true, but nonetheless she did believed her. And something inside her wanted to forget the whole day, to forget what she had seen and step back into the fairy tail the had created somewhere in between the first time they’d met and the way it was now. But things were different now, and she knew what she had to do.

If she didn’t stop their relationship now, then things would only get worse. She new this fight would only be the beginning of it. Sure first things would go back to normal and they’d be happy… for a little while, but then sooner or later she would wonder if his eyes were wondering to somewhere else or rather someone else. She’d wonder every time another woman past if she was ever hired by him, or if he was getting bored with her, cause God knows that he could do better than poor little rich girl Elizabeth Parker-

Things would never work out, and it was better this way if she put a stop to it now than have her heart broken all over again in the future. No, it was better this way… wasn’t it?

“Liz?”

Leaning on the closed door, she listened closely to him in the next room, she even thought she could hear his heavy breathing; she even thought she could feel his heat from the other side of the door and his hand against the wooden barrier in the same place where hers laid if she could only feel his comforting finger tips… if only.

“I’m… I’m so sorry Princess,” he breathed out, “I’m so sorry.”

And then, in her imagination, his heat on the opposite side of the door was gone; he was gone. And when she opened the door she finally realized that she wasn’t imagining anything, he had really been there and really had said those words, but worst of all he really had left. She had wanted to say so much to him, but he was already gone. The room was cold and dank once again without his presence.

She found the letter on the bed.

“Sleeping in the guest room tonight.
It’s probably the best for both of us.
Sweet dreams,
Max.”

Sighing in the moon lighted room, she knew she was going to do the right thing tomorrow. She’d keep her chin up and make him think she had moved on, even if it meant crying on the inside, she’d do what she had to do.

************* *********** ***************

“Welcome to Delta Air Lines. We’ll be taking off shortly. If you’d like to watch a movie during your flight…”

She sighed dramatically when she heard the stewardess come on the intercom. She’d only heard the introduction a hundred times. “Please remain in your seat belts while the captain has turned on the vaccine seat belt sign is on. If you’d like food or a pillow, please ask one of the stewardess on the air flight. We hope you enjoy your stay with us on Delta Airlines,” Liz whispered the words in her seat with the stewardess'. She had been on airplanes way to long apparently. She heard a small chuckle from the man sitting next to her.

“I guess they really need to change to some new material huh?” he smiled for the first time since she didn’t know when.

“I guess,” she answered shortly and looked out the window and on towards the fluffy dark clouds. She could tell some of the passengers were a little unnerved because of the weather conditions. The rain was poring down, but for some reason the airport hadn’t cancelled the flight.

There was a slight bump that made a couple of people gasp. “Please forgive the weather conditions folks, but it’s just a small storm. It’s nothing to worry about, and we promise to have you in New York by the morning. In the mean time if you’d like a pillow to sleep with on your flight, we’ll be handing them out momentarily. Sleep well,” the pilot reassured the passengers.

“Sleep well! There’s a storm outside ready to knock us out of the sky, and he wants us to sleep well!” a woman huffed a couple of seats away. Liz just shook her head and pushed the light above them off. The next time she’d wake up it would be 5 a.m. and New York would be a reality again.

This years love had better last
Heaven knows it's high time

********* ************************** ********

“Thank you for visiting Delta Air Lines,” a stewardess greeted them with a smile. He only nodded back to her and followed Liz’s step. This was it; this was the point where he had to be strong and selfless. This was the last time he’d see her pretty face.

“So… this is it,” she whispered quietly as her gaze fell to the white tile. His hand betrayed him as it cupped her gentle face in hopes of seeing her soulful eyes once more.

And I've been waiting on my own too long
But when you hold me like you do

She sighed softly and felt the comfort in his hands that made the world go spinning around her. There was nothing like being in his arms, there was neither fire that felt warmer nor a home that felt safer than in Maxwell Evans arms.

It feels so right
I start to forget
How my heart gets torn

It could be so easy to pull her into his arms and try to protect her from the world, but the only thing that could really hurt her was himself. He was no good for her, and despite his love. Love simply wasn’t enough.

When that hurt gets thrown
Feeling like you can't go on

She closed her eyes as she breathed his sweet, warm cherry scent in. She shivered as the end was coming near, and as dawn would wait for no man the sun began to rise through the clear windows.

Turning circles when time again
It cuts like a knife oh yeah

“So what are you going to do now?” she asked shyly. “Find another job,” he answered simply, which brought a confused look upon her face. “What?” she whispered.

“Yeah, ya see there’s this girl that I met. She kind of changed my perspective on things, she kind of changed me,” he smiled down at her.

“So where is this disarming girl of yours?”

“I’m looking at her,”

If you love me got to know for sure
Cos it takes something more this time
Than sweet, sweet lies

Giving in slightly, he pulled her into his arms for the last time. He just wanted to remember, to remember how she smelled of strawberries and how perfect her body felt against his.

Before I open up my arms and fall
Losing all control
Every dream inside my soul

“I wouldn’t trade this for the world Liz… not for the world,” he whispered in her ear. She made a small noise before snuggling into his coat. And when he felt her shiver, he took off his coat and wrapped it around her small frame.

Wiping her tears away, almost a shamed of them, she smiled at his sweet gesture, and when she put her arms through the warm material he whispered sweetly, “Keep it. I want you to.”

Everything was coming back to him. The nights they had spent together, the days they spent fighting, and the moments that not even time could take away.

And when you kiss me
On that midnight street
Sweep me off my feet
Singing ain't this life so sweet

Taking a small step back, he looked into her teary eyes and it hit him of what he was doing, of what he was about to do. He was so close to giving in that he wasn’t even sure he could walk out of the airport without her.

This years love had better last
This years love had better last

Taking another step away, he could feel it getting a little easier to walk away. The farther he was from her the less difficult it was to leave. He took another one and finally before turning around he whispered the words, “Goodbye Liz Parker. I’ll be seeing you.” And after that, he turned away from her face, from her, and began to walk out of the cold airport that seemed now detached and empty. It felt like everything was dying outside and inside.

So who's to worry
If our hearts get torn

Though the world moved on with it’s life, she merely stood there, watching the man she loved walk away from her life. It was the most painful thing to watch, and yet she could couldn’t scream or cry like she was inside. She only watched him walk away in silence.

When that hurt gets thrown
Don't you know this life goes on

The man she loved had walked away into the bright and gleaming light into the world of New York City and seemed to blind her. She could already hear the cold yellow cabs on the street, and feel the infamous, chilling weather of the city.

And won't you kiss me
On that midnight street
Sweep me off my feet
Singing ain't this life so sweet

He was gone… the man she loved… the escorter.

Cause this year’s love had better last.

Hola! I have TWO new parts for ya! I really hope you guys enjoy! I really loved all you guys' FB. I even got a few new readers, which really makes me happy. Okay, I'll shut up now-lol. And by the way the song in chapter 21 is also in The wedding Date. I thought it would be a small, but nice connection to the movie :D

Chapter 19- Streets and loneliness

A breathless moan escapped her lips as the aching increased inside. His hand slipped downward as her hands twisted the sheets in an almost painful manner. He hadn’t been inside her in so long… so long.

Her lips sucked on his neck as his hand grasped her thigh in the moment of passion. His muscles tensed as he pushed into her warm depths. He could make love to her until the stars burned out, and it would still be too soon.

Gentle caresses against his arm made his heart want to take her slowly, but his body wouldn’t have it. He buried his head into her neck as the friction between their bodies increased.

Her hand came to cup his face and caressed his tight jaw. He was trying so hard not to hurt her because of how tight she was. He had to suppress a groan when he lifted her hips in desperation.

Her dark hazy eyes matched his as he moved up and down her golden body. Her fingers slipped into his shaggy hair and brushed away the wet bangs from his beautiful face. Every caress by her was gentle, and yet he couldn’t will his body to do the same. His touch was passionate and rough. He wanted to show her how much he had missed her body, how much he had missed her.

“Max… Max,” she whispered as tough as it was to talk while in the thralls of lust, “I love you…”

He jerked his body up from the mattress and gasped for air. Sweat covered his body as the heated night over took him. Apart from his dream he was alone in his bed with nothing to comfort him but the nights glow though the window.

It was only a dream… only a dream.

“Don’t honk at me buddy. You almost ran over me JERK,” Maria swore to the cab driver as she crossed the street towards Liz. She just shook her head as her best friend slammed her hand against the car’s hood. It was pretty funny since she was in leather NY boots and a frayed skirt. She looked like raving lunatic in Gucci It was simply priceless.

“Asshole,” she muttered under her breath while slinging her arm around Liz. “Okay chica so how’s the day been going?” she asked in a voice that completely contradicted her previous one.

“Fine,” she asked absently. She received a concerned look from her friend as they were basically being trampled on the street from New York’s crowds. It was freezing outside, and yet you could always expect people walking their way to work in the mornings.

“Fine? Okay so that’s like twenty ‘fines’ since we got back from the wedding. So now I definitely know you’re not ‘fine.’ Does this have something to do with Max?” she asked as she pushed past an ad infinitem of people to get on the train.

“No,” she answered a little too quickly. Maria just shook her head and jumped on the train. “Then why hasn’t he come to see in you since we got back? It’s like he just disappeared out of your life,” she commented. As she looked over to her friend, she found a foreign look on her face. She knew she had just said something wrong.

“Liz, the last time you had that face you had just lost Mr. Fuzz,” she stated referring to the old teddy bear that Rath, some crazed kid that lived next door, had stolen and God only knows what happened to it. She sat down next to Liz as she tried to understand her friend’s sudden case of melancholy.

“Mr. Fuzz? Where the hell did that come from?” Liz asked with scrunched nose. “Oh, you know that stupid kid stole him, and you were upset for months,” she explained. She was starting to wonder why she had even brought it up.

“That stupid kid? You mean Rath that you had a major crush on during you entire freshman year?” Liz asked as she raised her eyebrow. “I did not!” she exclaimed before rolling her eyes and changing the subject before it got embarrassing. “What’s really going on Liz?” she asked.

“What about Mr. Fuzz?” Liz asked.

“Fuck Mr. Fuzz!” Maria said loudly as couple of strangers looked at her, some were laughing and some were just plain starring. Liz exhaled her breath once she realized the doors were opening as they had arrived at their destination. Grabbing her purse, she dodged Maria’s profound questioning.

“Liz stop! Just tell me what’s wrong!” Maria exclaimed while stopping her in her tracks. “This does have to do with Max doesn’t it? I just knew he was too good to be true. The bastard cheated on you didn’t he?” she asked with dramatics at her side.

“No, yes, no… dame it just let it go okay?” she stuttered as she smoothed her red, knee length dress. She really was starting to get cold, and she only had a leather jacket to protect her arms from the harsh weather.

“Liz…”

“I’m not with him anymore okay?”

“Why? I’m there’s got to be some reason…”

“He’s an ESCORTER Maria!” she yelled out as her frustration erupted. She didn’t need to hear Maria bashing down on him right now, and she was so tired of keeping it a secret. She was just so tired period.

“He’s a…” Maria couldn’t even finish the word as she stared at her friend perplexed. She sure as hell had a lot of explaining to do.

“Hello?” he asked in deep and rough tone from just waking up. Now that he was jobless, he pretty much had all the time in the world to sleep in.

“Max?” a familiar voice on the phone had asked. He knew that voice, but it couldn’t possibly be. Could it?

“It’s Maria,” the other voice on the phone sighed and let dead silence take over.

“I know who it is,” he laughed as he sat up in his king sized bed. “How are you?” he asked.

“Fine… So how’s… life?” she paused. She had stopped herself from asking how work was going. She didn’t want to go there… yet.

“Fine, you know… New York,” he answered shortly. It seemed aqward to talk to Liz’s best friend. A thousand questions came to mind, and he wanted to ask them all but he couldn’t because they all were about the girl who haunted his dreams.

“Yeah, we’ve all missed you since the wedding. You kind of disappeared after, and like I said we’ve missed ya- me, Lonnie… Liz,” she stated slowly.

His posture straightened a little after hearing her name. He himself hadn’t even spoken of her name or heard it until now. Cautiously he asked, “How… how is she?”

“She’s been better, but she’s still living and breathing. She really does miss you. You know she told me about what had happened between the two of you, oh how is business by the way?” she challenged smally.

“I wouldn’t know. I’m currently with out a job,” he answered honestly.

“Oh, good, so…” she stopped before slightly changing the subject, “Liz got the money. That was decent of you,”

“Oh, ah… thanks,” he sighed heavily as he recalled the past few days.

Grabbing the envelope, he pushed the money in through the opening and grabbed a piece of paper. What the hell was he going to say? He had decided to send the money back to her apartment, the money that she had paid him for ‘his services’. He shook his head in disgust. He hadn’t been able to sleep at night ever since he found the payment from Liz in his bag. He drew in a deep breath before blowing his shaggy hair out of his eyes. He didn’t want the money; it wasn’t about that any more.

He grabbed the pen from the kitchen table with shaky hands and archaic thoughts. He just didn’t know what to say. Finally getting the guts to write on the paper.

Liz,
In the enclosed envelope is your money in which I want you to keep. It’s yours; I have no desire for it. I believe that money should not be given in payment when you’ve had the best week of your life, and despite all the troubles I’ve caused, I do hope that I will see again. Maybe it will be across the street with a thousand people surrounding us or maybe it will be on a peaceful night with the stars shining, but I do hope that one day I will see you again, you and that beautiful smile of yours.
Until then I remain yours only,
Max

Sighing with relief, he sealed the envelope and walked down stares to place in the mailbox. Maybe now he could at least sleep a little bit better knowing that he wasn’t paid by Elizabeth Parker just to be in her company, the honor was his and it was too high of a price for him to pay as it were.

“Look, Max, you know how I like to stay out of every ones business but,” at this point she received a sarcastic chuckle form him, “but… she I think she really misses you.”

“Maria, do you seriously think that an escorter is going to make her happy? I’m no good for her. I could never…”

“You could what? Never make her happy? Max wake up, you did make her happy! Max I’ve never seen her look at other guys the way that she looks at you. I can bet that the same goes for you. I saw you. You both have stars in your eyes when you two looked at each other,” Maria expressed with a fitted emotion to how Max’s heart felt.

“Maria…” he started to argue but was cut off.

“No, Max. Just listen to me damn it. Do honestly think you can go on with life without her. If the answers no, then you already know what you should do. Look she’s listed in yellow pages. Call her up, or better yet go see her. What do you think is better, going to talk to her one more time, or never seeing her again… just think about it okay?”

“Yeah, sure Maria I’ll think about it… I’ll think about it,” he promised in deep thought.

Chapter 20-Home

Three weeks later…

Another summer day
Has come and gone away

He gazed up into the clouded sky as the warm and comforting sun began to be covered by the rising weather. He could smell the rain even as the flowers blew from their trees and cascaded around the street. The cherry blossoms were scattered along the pavement at the marketing square that for once had a strong silence in the air. It was unusual to find a place in New York City that gave you a piece of mind even for a moment.

In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home

One would think that a place as comforting and serene place as this would make you feel as if your close to home. One would think. But it only recreated the loneliness that tightened within his heart. The quiet streets only reminded him of the havoc that tortured him so inside.

Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone

In took the heavy scented air that smelled like warm vanilla, and soundly his thoughts were back to her once again. She was constantly with him, and though he denied it many times, he was tempted to go and see her.

I just wanna go home
And I miss you, you know

He just wanted to see her again, and there was so much that had never been said. He could say a million things, but he also had a million doubts. He’d never wanted something so much, while at the same time he wanted to run away from, in all his life.

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
“I’m fine baby, how are you?”

Truth was that even after his callous job, there was still part of him, part of the escorter that told him not to see her. And no matter what he did, that part of him would never go away. He was a broken and unworthy man for Liz Parker. But then the other half of him… another part of him simply wanted to be with her despite the past. Despite the terrible fights that would happen sooner or later between them, despite the constant battles between two hardheaded people that had already happened, and despite the fighting within him… he wanted her to be his.

Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

A loud honk from a cab broke the peaceful and yet chaotic moment to an end and brought the world back to his eyes. He closed his eyes as a drop of ran fell onto his head. Sighing smally, he began to walk back to his apartment… yet alone again.

The rain cascaded down the window in a peaceful manner. She loved to sit and watch the water tap on the glass and fall slowly downwards. They dark blue rays casted a glow to everything they touched. It was like time froze to show the world that there was still such a thing as peace.

‘Breath taking,’ that’s what she would describe his face. She missed that special smile of his that she had first received from him that day at the airport. It was only given to her. It was a smile of amazement and inner astonishment, as if he couldn’t believe she was in front of him. She missed it terribly.

Another airplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go home
I’ve got to go home

Memories never ceased. Some were memorable for their sincerity and others were of hurtful glares. And then when she wasn’t awake she was dreaming of his tender hands on her flesh. If things didn’t stop she’d go insane. She had even thought of going to see him just to stop this empty feeling in her heart.

Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

Was life so empty as it had been before she had met him? Maria told her to go to see him, or even call him, but she didn’t. Maria called this, this ach, love. Liz just never knew love could hurt so much. For something that was suppose to make you happy, apparently it was equivalent with its antonym as well.

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right

What would she do to go back to back to England with him? She guessed the better question would be what wouldn’t she do to go back to the past? In her mind she some how had this crazy idea that if she went back to England that everything would go back to the way they were. That some how if she were there, the past would relive its self.

She laughed lightly to herself as she realized she really might have gone insane because of Max Evans, but then again that’s what love was suppose to do to you. Wasn’t that what they always said?

And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
But this was not your dream
But you always believed in me

A heightened ring from the phone woke her up from her daze. She walked away from the window as her feet made padded noises against the tile. Picking up the phone in the kitchen, she answered with a simple ‘hello.’

After speaking with her collogue, she hung up the phone and went to put something on. Apparently she was needed at the office. She didn’t mind it that much; it was something to keep her thoughts away from her special escorter.

She shuddered when she got outside as soon as the rain hit her body. It was a refreshing and awakening feeling. It awoke her from the daze that she had been consumed by moments ago. As soon as a cab drove up, she climbed in and gave directions.

Another winter day has come
And gone away
And even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home

Brushing away what she could of the rain off her white long-sleeved blouse and black knee length skirt, she received the normal greetings from the firm’s assistants. They all gave courteous smiles that were facades of what they felt in the inside. She knew because that’s how she felt like in this big city.

And I’m surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel alone
Oh, let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

Walking into her office room without falter, she went straight to her desk to find files stacked against each other. She sighed as if an effort to release the emptiness within. She never even realized what company she standed in front of.

Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home

“Hi,” he whispered.

Her heart stopped as she turned around to find him there watching her with his soulful eyes.

“Hi…”

Let me go home
It will all be all right
I’ll be home tonight
...I’m coming back home
