Chapitre 10
After thei wild lovemaking, Liz left Max's bed to get a shower while Max was still sleeping. When he woke up, he reached out his hand to caress her but the place was still warm but empty. He muffled his nose in the pillow to smell her delicate scent and sighed. He could easily get used to wake up every morning with Liz beside him.
He smiled happily, she was certainly there, under the water. Grinning, he walked toward the bathroom and opened the door, only to find that Liz was not there anymore.
He looked around the room and saw that all her clothes have disappeared too. *She's gone!!* he couldn't help to think.
After a quick shower, he hopped into a sweat pants and ran toward the kitchen, maybe she was there, sipping a cup of coffee.
"Good morning Mr Evans, what do y....." Mrs Jones began but shut up when she looked up at Max's blank face.
"She's gone once again!" he said angryly.
"She?? Who is that "she"? Mr Evans are you all right?" she inquired staring at him.
"Huh? Oh sorry Mrs Jones. Did you see my friend Liz? She was there and..." he stopped talking not wanting to explain about his crazy night with Liz.
"I didn't even know that you brought someone here! That's your first. Where is she? Why do you look for her? Is she gone already?" she asked not stopping her questions.
The poor Max didn't know what to say, how to explain. He did the only thing he could do to stop Mrs Jones's questions, he turned around and left the kitchen without a word.
In the meantime, Liz was in the stabble beside the mare which was feeding her foal. She was moved by the scenery and couldn't help to touch her belly *Could I? Having Max's baby would be my dream coming true, but that's too soon. He doesn't know.*
West Roswell High School, 17 years ago
Max parked his Corvette behind the Park Avenue. Liz was living in this little house, 3 blocks farther. From his place, he could see her window and that meant that if she was looking, she could see him.....and kill him for sure!
No one was allowed to come here, she had warned them. That was her home and she didn't want to see them around.
But today, she skipped school and the rehearsal. The Joker never missed one, she could be late at school, she could stay at home one day without coming at school. But rehearsal? No, she never missed one.
Those days, when she was skipping school but still coming to practice, Mr Philips never said a word to reprimand her. Like Max, he knew her background and he couldn't say anything unlike his colleagues. Mr Philips knew that music was Liz's life and she wouldn't miss a rehearsal.
Coming school was easier for her than staying at home and playing with the Paquet was all that she loved to do in life. Max was always worried the mornings he didn't see her at school but he knew that she'd be there to play music with them. He was used to check on her when she arrived at school and tied her bicycle anti-theft, he couldn't begin his day with this routine.
Today, he came because she missed the rehearsal and they were worried. He began to regret it, Michael's car would have been more discreet in this area, his Corvette was a target for a possible theft. He found a little kid on the other side of the street.
"Do you know how to whistle?"
"Yeah"
"Loud?"
The kid did it with all his breathe.
"Perfect. Look, I give you 5 bocks and you look after my car. If you have a problem, just whistle to warn me."
"10 bocks"
"7 and nothing more."
Max rummaged in his pocket. "Take that, I give you 2 dollars and you'll get the 5 dollars left if you'll still here when I'll be back."
The kid groaned but took the money from Max's hand. He crossed the street and took his place to look after the stranger's car.
Max walked toward Liz's house. He came here, once, before she forbade him to come again, but he never climbed in her room. He just knew that it was under the roof. He looked up and although he didn't saw her, he knew that she was there, he was hearing the homesick sound of her saxophone.
He glanced at the kid and knocked at the door. Mrs Parker was long to open. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a green apple top, her eyes were so tired that she looked like a cocker and smelt bier. He knew that Liz's mother was working in a bar from the rare conversations he had with her about her family but this woman was worse than he expected.
"Is....Is Liz at home?" he asked
"In her room" replied Mrs Parker showing the stairs with her finger but without inviting him to climb up. "Aren't you one of the boys from her school?"
"Yes M'ame"
Embarrassed, Max was cursing himself to have come here. Michael would have known what to do.
"Because if you are....Let me tell you that you're chasing the wrong girl. My kid knows that she won't be with anyone if I don't agree. You know many men asked her out or more, but she knows that if I say no, she won't go."
Hearing the threatening tone, Max felt like if he was enraged. What's the matter with that woman? Is she really Liz's mother if she can talk like this about her daughter. He began to doubt it.
"Humm....She didn't come today at school and she missed the music rehearsal. I just wanted to know if she was sick or something?"
Mrs Parker threw her greasy hair behind "Listen guy, she had blown in her damned instrument all day long. I don't know I have to repeat every day that I need her to clean that house. Don't you smell? It looks like a stabble here!"
"Can I go upstairs to see her?" Max asked without paying attention at her words.
"Upstairs? Only the two of you?"
She looked at him as if he had lost his mind then turned around to a dark room "Hey Jo! Do you think that my baby doesn't risk anything if that kid goes upstairs?"
A growl answer "Tell your girl to get down!"
Mrs Parker stared at Max once again, she inspected him for head to feet, then tried to straighten herself and decided "You can go upstairs. With a dumb boy like you, she doesn't risk anything."
Disgusted, Max eventually came into the house.
"What is your name?" she asked again.
"Max...Max Evans."
Glancing at his car in the street, she took him friendly by his arm "Go upstairs and you can stay as long as you want".
Completely dumbfounded, Max hurried to climb the stairs. He didn't understand that woman and he felt disgusted by the smell in the house. "Thank you M'ame." He heard Mrs Parker talking with the guy "Hey Jo, come and take a look at the car".
Max reached the attic. That was a large space that Liz organised to make a small living room on the right side and her room on the left. On the ceiling and the walls, she put some posters of Charly Parker or some others jazz musicians. Seated on her bed, just a mattress on the floor, she saw him enter with pleasure. Only wearing a large T.shirt, she glared at him without talking. He waved his hand to make her understand to continue to play and she did it, only concentrated on her homesick music, eyes closed.
Max felt a strange feeling being in Liz's room. She looked different, she was not the same that the girl he was used to see at school or during their concerts. But why? Is it the music she was playing? Or was she another girl when she was at home?
His heart began to pound in his chest and he felt his cheeks burning. Why did he feel that sudden heat? Weird. The things were becoming strange for him. He came to see if she was ok and there, in her room, with those clothes, with her posters and her own things, she appeared like a girl not like the Joker anymore. And weirdly, he began to feel within himself strange sensations.
Liz from school never disturbed him, never made him sweat like that he was today. He wanted to talk to her, to tell her.....but he didn't know where to begin. He was stunned.
He wondered how she could be her mother's daughter, despite her shaggy hair, despite her face that was always hidden under a ton of makeup, she was beautiful and yet it seemed that she couldn't help but try desperatly to destroy herself.
Today, he understood why.
He cursed the fate that made her poor and born in that family! He'd like to howl his anger, his shame because of the injustice! How could she live like this?
All right, her room is impeccable, her clothes are tidied up in boxes or hung on a line across the room.
Of course she had her posters and the music, but how was that enough for her? How could it make it up for what he saw or heard since he arrived?
Once again he cursed the fate *She had to escape from here for sure!* he thought.
She finished the part she was playing and put her saxo on her knees. She was furious and he could see it.
"Your mother told me that you played the same part all day long" he said feeling stupid
She stared at him without talking. Embarrassed, Max began to pace in the room.
"So I heard that you're playing since you're a little girl" he said looking at her still on her bed. "I didn't know that you've been playing since so long"
"My grandpa was playing saxo. I never knew him but my father told me about him. They listenned together some old goodies.... I was younger then, around 4 or 5 years old, but I remember very well. I remember my father's voice, he was talking softly and always said to me "listen to that, do you hear that tone? It's your grandpa. Look like Stan Getz"
She reached out her hand to take her saxo box "I didn't know anything about music, I loved music that's all" she said putting very carefully her instrument in its box. "This one was my grandpa's. That was his last instrument".
Max was breathless. With some words, Liz had unveiled more of her life than she did during 2 years at school. And he yearned to know more about her grandpa, her father. Where was he? Was he dead or alive? And in that case, why didn't he take his daughter far away from that miserable life?
"So you're playing since long" he repeated when he recovered his voice.
"Surely longer than you with your drums."
He could have laughed but she was not joking. Once again, he cursed himself *Why didn't I send Michael instead of me?* He felt completely stupid to be worried about her. *What I'm doing here? That's not my place*
Liz doesn't need him today and she won't do it in the future. He was losing his time, his and Liz's. *I only have to go* he thought.
"What do you want from me Max?" she asked when he turned around to leave.
"As you didn't come to the rehearsal, I wanted to be sure that you were safe."
"Now that you saw where I live, just know that I can't be safe."
Touched by her tone, Max stopped and turned around toward her. If only she was enraged like the Joker did when she was angry... But that resignation! That was worse than anything else.
"I stay if you want it."
What could he do or say otherwise?
"NO..." she said hopping from her bed. "Everything is ok." she added trying to hide her bare legs pulling on her T.shirt.
"I'll be there tomorrow. The charming Mrs Parker doesn't lock me up more than one day."
Max was shocked "WHAT? She....she locks you up?"
"Relax Max! That's not too serious. That's not like if she was cutting my head!"
"Not serious!!" Max jumped, his cheeks burning "Not serious to cut your hair like this?"
"That's not her, that's me." she said fidgeting her bundle of straw.
"Why are you doing it?"
"Guess why"
Liz had recovered herself, she was the same she've always been.
"Because you don't have money to go to the hairdresser!"
*Why does he mind? Why is he concerned with Liz's hair? And yet...*
"Max, you're smart, do you see why I didn't want you to come here? Now that you know everything, please go."
"Liz...."
"Go and don't ever come back here!" she said lifting her hand to cut him off. "Max, this is MY home! I endure that life but, my way of life is none of your business!"
"That way of life shouldn't exist" he retorted
"WHY? Because your name is Evans and you have decided it? Because it's unfair and it's embarrassing you?"
She stopped pulling her shirt and with her hands on her hips, she leaned toward him "The things are what they are Max! That's all."
Max didn't want to say something irreversible and didn't say a word. Liz was too important for him to risk to hurt her. "You're smart Liz, you're talented, you deserve so much more."
"And you think that I don't know it?" she said walking barefeet toward the stairs. "I only have to wait for 2 years and I'll leave." *I have to hold it for 2 years* she said for herself.
"Perfect." he said unable to articulate because of his emotion.
"It's ok Max, don't worry. I have my saxo and I have the Paquet. Yeah, I have all of you and that's great for me."
Saying that she approached him and wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him tight.
*How fragile she was suddenly!* he thought. A hand on her hip, the other in her back, he felt how lean she was. *She was not eating every day, for sure*.
But she was soft and warm against him and he liked to have her breasts against his chest. Her T.shirt was too large but the linen was thin ennough to feel that she was not wearing anything under it.
He stayed several seconds like this, paralysed, then couldn't help but flushed.
"Max..." she said waking him up from his thoughts.
Her voice was warm and sensual. "Max" she repeated lower "You have to make me a promise."
"Yeah?"
Liz slid her hands on Max's chest and pushed him away firmly "Promise me that you won't ever come back here. Never! Do you hear me?"
Back to the present time
Liz was in the stabble thinking about her past... their past. *No. I can't stay here. I'm not meant to be with him.* She left the mare and its baby and came back to Max's house.

here we go.
Chapter 11
She came back to Max's bedroom to gather her things, getting ready to leave before Max's return. *That's better for us. We spent a wonderful night together but we're not meant to be together, I don't want to ruin what he has because of my insecurities.* she thought and was about to reopen the door when Max came in.
"Liz, where were you? I was looking for you since I woke up." he said. Then his eyes slid to the bag she was holding. He looked at her angrily, she was not gone but was ready to flee without letting them a chance. "What are you doing? And why do you hold that bag? Did you try to escape without saying goodbye? Are you going to flee again?" he harassed her with his questions.
He couldn't believe that after the night they spent she was able to leave him again. He felt hurt and betrayed. "You said that you won't leave me anymore, is that the way you're holding your promises Liz?" he asked sarcasticly.
"Max...I .....listen, I have a trial to take care and I have to be at the court early tomorrow. Thank you for the am..."
"Don't... I don't want you to thank me. I was not expecting that from you. Just before you're leaving, I'd like to know why?"
"Wh... Why?" Liz stammered
"Yes, why don't you want to give us a chance? Fate made us come back together after 15 years, I wouldn't have believed to see you again even if I came to that reunion on that purpose. Liz tell me what is it that eats you alive? Why are you so scared to love me?"
Liz saw that Max was very upset and despite the fact that she was certain that he deserved someone better than her, she couldn't bring herself to leave him. She tried to soothe his anger. "Max.... If you stop asking those questions, I'll stay with you today." she replied surprising him, but he recovered his composure.
"That's not enough for me Liz. I want more."
"I can't... I just can't. Max don't make things be worse than they are. You found me before I could leave your house, ok. I agree to stay with you today. Please just accept that and forget everything else, I'm sure we'll be able to enjoy those moments together. Can you do that for me?" she asked anxious that he wouldn't cave.
Max was about to refuse when Mrs Jones stepped into the room. "Mr Evans, did you find your....Oh, oh! It seems that you found her. Hi, I'm Mrs Jones, Mr Evans's housekeeper" she said reaching out her hand.
Liz looked at Max who looked angry. He indeed was not expecting Mrs Jones entering in his room that soon. She was looking at Max and at Liz curiously, for her defense that was the first time that Max Evans came home with a woman, and Liz couldn't do anything else than greeting her "Hi, I'm Liz Parker, Max's old friend."
"Nice to meet you Miss Parker. Since you're here, I'd like to tell you that the breakfast is ready. I'm the best for cooking apple doughnuts and if you don't like apples, I can do them with pecan nuts." she said and walked out of the room sensing that they need to be alone.
Liz glanced at Max. She knew that he was angry with her but she couldn't help to want this last day be as wonderful as the last evening was. "Max, do you invite me to share your breakfast with me or do you want me to leave now?" she asked and to disturb him even more, she caressed his shoulder seductively.
*How can I resist to that divine temptress?* he wondered.
"You won Liz for that time. I don't want you to leave me so soon, of course I invite you to share my breakfast and Mrs Jones is right, she makes the best apple doughnuts in the world. You couldn't leave without tasting them."
She took his arms "Let's go, I'm hungry". He looked at her intensely "Me too."Liz felt her spine shiver, Max was not only hungry for food and he made it clear for her to understand. He reached out his hand "Come on Mrs Jones doesn't like to wait, she'll be upset if her doughnuts get cold." he said taking her little hand in his.
They walked together toward the kitchen. They found Mrs Jones before the stove, when she saw them hand in hand, she gasped almost forgetting the bacon in the frying pan. *This Miss Parker was certainly more than an old friend for her boss!*
"Mr Evans, you should have told me that you were bringing someone at home! Thus, I would have prepared some towels. Did you give her a new soap?" she asked upset.
"Of course" he said but he had no clue of what Liz did this morning since he missed her when she woke up.
"Everything was perfect Mrs Jones." Liz said
"See, I'm sorry Mrs Jones but I didn't know that my friend would sleep here last night, or I would have told you." he added looking like a little boy afraid to be grounded.
However, Mrs Jones didn't cave "And what about your cellular? The reunion was at less than one hour from here. You have no excuse!" she said turning around to check on the bacon. Then she turned back and looked at Liz "Sometimes I wonder where he has been raised!"
Liz was happy that Mrs Jones was lightening the atmosphere by her comments "You're completely right, Mrs Jones. He needed to be reprimanded. Do you know that, last night, he left the party without saying goodbye or thank you?"
The housekeeper sighed deeply "What a shame! That's unbelievable!"
Liz sat down trying to hide her laugh but Max decided that he couldn't be unfairly accused "But YOU wanted to flee because we were soaking wet!"
Mrs Jones stopped what she was doing "WET? But it wasn't raining last night...."
"No, we were soaking wet because of the sprinkling in the park. We have been caught" Liz lied. She was red "I doubt that Mrs Jones is interested by our adventure." she added.
"Surely not! But I'm interested to know if you prefer doughnuts with apples or....."
"With apples, I adore that." Liz broke her off.
"Here we go! Mr Evans, you should help by serving a cup of coffee to your friend." she reprimanded him. She was cutting some pieces of apple into the dough "You'll tell me about that party later, I have the feeling that you have a lot to tell!" she said smiling.
After that hearty breakfast, Max and Liz were walking around the park. "Did the Jones know something about the Paquet?" she asked and locked her eyes into his "Or about what happened at high school?" she added.
"Of course not!"
He took her hand and led her to the terrace. "Let's go to see if Charlie Parker got her foal."
"She did. I saw him earlier this morning" she said as a dog came around them followed by several cats of different breeds.
He looked at her "No the Jones ignore what disfigured me." he laughed at her. "Because of you, I won't be the sexiest man in the world anymore."
"Come on Max, a little scar hadn't ruin Harrison Ford's career, that's the opposite."
"Because you think that it's little?"
Taking his chin in her hand, she caressed it tenderly. With the bicycle chain she could have hurt him deeply, who knows he could have been blind. Instead, the chain had dug a dimple like Kirk Douglas. Actually, she had aimed pretty well.
Remembering that disastrous day, Liz felt tears running down her eyes and desperate, she cupped his face and kissed him.
"Why have I done that?" she murmured into his ears.
"Because you were unhappy, Liz. You felt humiliated."
"Why did you push me to hit you?"
"I didn't think that you could do it."
She pulled away to look at him, anxious.
"Liz, you were suffering. A lot. Maybe you needed to let your anger explode rather than keeping it within you."
He took her chin in his hand and looked at her straightly into her eyes "You know, I was more scared of your anger than the knock itself."
That day, he said that he knew her very well and of course she denied it since she never let someone get close to her for the 4 years she was with them and later she understood why she always kept her distances with them. But, despite everything, he knew her very well.
Her need of independance and loneliness, her stubborned will to never ask or accept anything from anyone.... Life prepared her to live that way since she had no one to help her.
Today, Max was wondering if she had changed.
"I shouldn't have hit you" she said moved. "Even if you think that my reaction was normal, I shouldn't have done that." she said sitting on the step of the terrace.
"I have to say that I share your opinion." he said smiling.
Understanding that Liz was harking back to feelings of guilt and remorse, Max sat beside her "Liz, it's over now. I don't think about it anymore. I want you to forget the past." he said softly.
That was a hard step for her to overcome, she couldn't help but remind over and over of the tragedy. Her head in her hands, she tried to hide her tears.
"Max...How could you look at me, talk to me or even make love to me after what I did to you? How?..." she cried.
"How? That's simple Liz, we have a past in common and I always considerated you like a special girl to me."
He paused and caressed a little cat that was passing between his legs. "Do you remember what I confessed you last night?"
"About what?" she asked sniffing
"I told you that thanks to you I became the man I am today."
She shook her head for no. "I don't believe you".
"That's your right but I know it. Years ago I wouldn't have said that."
"So why do you say it now?"
"Because I changed. I realized what kind of life I had. 5 years ago, I was living with Katherine, my ex-wife. Our couple was not working well, I don't know why I felt like if I was not in tune....."
"Stop that Max, not with me please!" she cut him off
"But that's true! Like that's true that I never forgot you. Since high school, it was not a day that went by without me thinking about you."
"Fair for your wife!"
Max did like he didn't hear that and looked away. Liz was surprised by his confession "May I know what kind of thoughts you had about me?" she asked like an attorney
"Whaou! Such an authority !" he mocked her.
Then he turned around toward her "What kind of thoughts I had? I hated you....I cursed you.... But I also worried about you and I had a lot of questions about you."
"About me?"
"Yeah, I wondered how you could survive in your mother's house when I was a so wealthy boy, served like a prince by servants, spoiled by life. I had everything and you nothing. And yet, I didn't have your strength. In fact, I was completely unable to take care of myself, to manage myself." He looked like if he had a heavy weight on his shoulders.
"But why changing? That was so easy...."
Liz was listenning to him, shocked.
"Then I thought about you. All your efforts to succeed. I never heard you complaining and yet you could have done it. Despite all your problems, you were available for the music or for playing billiards. Of course we fought sometimes but that never lasted too long. Listen Liz, when I gave you that money, I did it the wrong way, I did it like a Evans, like I saw my father do it. When I handed that cheque to you, I didn't respect your dignity, your sense of honor. I acted like a rich and vain man. I was wrong."
"Come on Max! Without you...without that cheque..."
"I thought about that too. Would you be there today? Look, if I were less arrogant then, things would have been different. I could have lent you that money instead of giving to you that feeling that I was buying you."
While he was talking 2 cats came to roll around his leg. Softly, Max took them in his arms and caressed them, but it seems that they didn't appreciate it and they fled miewing angrily.
"Ungratful!" Max said upset and Liz burst out laughing.
"Max, you resolved my problem. Without you, I'm sure I would stay at the edge of the road."
No, he didn't believe it.
"You had that rage within you Liz, you would have won."
"I don't think so. That day, I was exhausted of fighting. When you came beside the bicycles, I was worn out. I tried too long to keep my head out of the water. No, I was worn out, my only goal was to leave that school, that place." she said repressing a sob. "But suddenly, I realized that I was wrong. I understood that leaving that school meant that I ruined all my chances to change my future, my life." she said huskily. "That was not the place I was living that was annoying me. The area, the house, I got used to live there. That was my future. I mean I was scared to be like my mother and I was certain that I was going to have the same destiny."
Ashamed, she lowered her eyes "I saw me accepting money from men to survive. I never expected to do it."
Max closed his eyes and leant his head on his chest. He never thought about that and why in hell would he have thought about that? "You didn't think that I wanted to buy you!" he asked horrified. "Is it the reason why you returned my debt noting that you owed me a night of love?"
She nodded.
"When you called me then, I believed that you were claiming what I promised." she put her forehead on her knees. "I didn't know what to do. I was scared that you forced me to do it and in the same time, I thought that you hated me that much that you never wanted to see me again except..."
"To make love?" he burst out laughing.
"When I called you I only wanted to know how you were doing. But as you kept refusing to answer me, I decided to use that piece of paper to make you react. Put that on my youth, on my arrogance. Actually I knew that you had succeeded and I begrudged you to live according to your dreams whilst I was continuing to live like a Evans, stupidly."
"And now?"
"Now, I'm living according my values not my parents's ones."
There was an awkward silence between them and Liz didn't know what to answer, sure that he'd be upset if she did. She cleared her voice "I can't believe that you didn't forget me since you put a feet in the Texas University..."
"I told you Liz, it was not a day that went by without me thinking about you." and caressing his scar he added "I can't help to do it."
"Maax!"
She cuddled in his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm very sorry. I don't know what to say."
Silence.
Max wanted her to say something important for him. He had to ask her. He wanted to know. And now that he was near to know that truth, his heart was racing in his chest very fast. "Just tell me one thing..."
"Anything."
"Did you forget me?"
She looked into his golden eyes "Never!"
"And now? What are we going to do?" That was the most terrifying question. After the marvelous hours they spent together, he didn't want to let her go out of his life. He was deeply in love with her.
"What are we going to do?" she repeated.
Her big brown eyes began to shine mischievously "Right now, I'd like to return in you bed" she murmured.
TBC..IF YOU WANT IT...............................
here we go.
Chapter 11

Chapter 12
Very slowly, she began to undress him. His T.shirt first she threw away.
*What a chest! so large, so powerful. His body was a masterpiece. His skin was familiar and shivering under her fingers eager to explore every dimple, every recess of that awesome body!*
She caressed tenderly the arms that held her so tight the last night, she learnt those hands that excited her sensualy, those fingers that drew her before they made her enter in that marvelous universe of extasy and his eyes.....Ooohh those golden eyes!!!
Unable to repress his desire under her caresses, Max stopped her little hand with his "Liz I'm 6.0 feet and 150 pds. If you have to continue like this, I won't hold it."
"Why?" she asked him innocently
"Because....." She stopped him putting her hand on his groin. If she was shy and not experienced last night, he found out that she was suddenly daring, rakish and demanding.
"Liz...st...stop please" he stammered tense.
Playing the devilish temptress, she ondulated in front of him "Maax" she called him huskily.
She looked determined "Stop Liz" he begged again, but far from stopping her, that made bolder "What? I'm only noticing...." she said grinning with pleasure.
Max sighed, she was torturing him but he loved that "You're an unforseeable girl you know?"
"Stubborn and hard to tame but very faithful as soon as you earn her trust."
"You're weird Liz"
Ignoring his words, she put her lips on his chest and began to kiss him slowly first then with a moving eagerness, here...there...higher...lower... *How skiful she became!*
She headed to his nipples and bit them with the tip of her teeth then she slid her mouth along his neck to the hollow of his throat, where his excited pulse was throbbing and she cuddled there. *How tender he is! And his scent, that was the scent she remembered!*
Without stopping to caress him, to kiss him, to lick him she traced a path toward his hips. There she hesitated, then growing bold by his moans, she slid her hands in his pants and grabbed his butt, hardly realizing that he went commando.
His incredibly tanned muscular body was so irresistible than she felt a blaze of desire invading her.
"L....izz"
"Hmmmm?"she mumbled her head buried in his chest.
"Slow down baby... You're killing me! I'm not going to last that long!"
His words excited her, she wanted to capture his emotion, to dominate him like he dominated her last night in the swimming pool.
"Didn't you tell me that patience is a vertue?" she mocked him.
"Did I?"
"Oh, you've already forgotten it!!"
"Let's say that it depends.... Believe me the wait is unbearable for the one who...is waiting" he panted.
"You're a weird man Max" she said rubbing against him.
"Liz, you're driving me mad rubbing against me like you do baby!"
"You're exciting me too Max!"
"Continue....please don't stop!"
"Don't worry.....I want to take my time, I don't like to make things fast"
"Don't you know that this game is egoistic and cruel?"
"Kiss me" she said leaning toward his lips.
She didn't need to repeat those words again. He captured her mouth and ravished it. He couldn't get enough of her. Then she arched against him to offer him her breast. She wanted to feel the same emotion she had felt last night when he had kneaded them with his soft hands first then with his amazing tongue. How she had loved that? Even if she had prefered when he licked her tummy.
She took her shirt and bra off and gave herself to that tongue that was fiercely searching a path between her breasts. They felt a blaze of pleasure that made them quiver and moan.
Unable to resist, Liz took her last clothing off and came in front of Max, naked.
He looked at her adoringly and kneeled in front of her. He put his head between her thighs and inhaled her intoxicating scent, her particuliar scent. His lips were eager to taste the wetness of her feminity.
She began to tell her pleasure and Max didn't understand a word, his tongue was trusting in and out of her heat and she cried and shivered. When she felt that she was reaching her peak, she pushed him on his bed. Then, without waiting, she took his jeans off and leant toward him. He was warm and moist, hard and throbbing. She caressed him with her tongue longly and greedily. She felt him shiver under her touch and he grabbed her hair to guide that tongue eager to shower him.
When he felt that he was going to climax, he pushed her away, laid her on the bed and buried himself inside her heat. Then he withdrew. She begged him and the more she begged him, the more he was thrusting hard. That was wild dance.
He grabbed her arms and held them tight above her head. Feeling captive, prisoner of his will, she moaned fiercely. She didn't know that making love could be so exhilirating, her nerves, her senses were exploding. She lifted herself and arched for him to take her once for all and release her.
Too soon. That was too delightful to cease so fast, he wanted to taste of that unbelievable pleasure to thrust in and out within her moist and deep heat. That's so easy. Easy and so good to possess her body, her soul. That was so enjoyable to see her fight underneath his body, to hear her implore him to give her the relief he was the only one able to give her.
He was unfair to treat her like this! To prevent her to reach happiness! To refuse to appease her! To take over and over her open body, her offered body! To torture her like he was doing!
But, eventually, Liz adored that.
Of course she knew that people can make love like this. She had laughed at those people, but today, under Max's thrusts, she was experimented it, in the pleasure and happiness. Taking advantage of the fact that he was the male, and with her agreement, Max was frustrating her to completely showering her.
That's the physical passion.
That's love with Max. Two scorching and aroused people.
And, they were amazed and scared in the same time.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED I'VE UPDATED TODAY "NOT GUILTY"
Chapter 13
Last day at school.
Liz thought to drink a glass of whisky if that helped to stop her stomach pain and to forget everything, why not trying?
After that final day of school, after those 4 years here, drinking to forget her life seemed to be that best thing to do. No more hurt, no more humiliation.....but more hope too.
For the last time, she closed her locker, put her father's old hat on her head and walked toward the noisy crowd of students.
With all the papers, pieces of notebooks and pieces of books that were scattering on the floor, the school looked like a big garbage.
She went out of the building and blinked. The afternoon was beautiful and sunny but Liz's heart was not in the tune. She received the letter for the loan she asked and once again they refused her demand because of her family's poverty. And yet, her professor, who believed in her, tried to help her and support her. Unfortunately, that was not enough!
What is she going to do to study now? She has no idea.
Obviously, living in a poor area with a alcoholic and unemployed mother didn't help her to get that loan. Instead of being a support, her mother had been a handicap for her.
She didn't need a lot of money yet, they rejected her again. Her family's environnement has been the main reason of that rejection despite her good grades. The fact that she never got a job had been a bad point for the decision too. But despite everything, Liz had been shocked by the refusal.
Bitter and sad, she crossed the parking lot to reach her bicycle. There were not many bicycles, people used to come with expensive cars like Camero or Corvette. Yeah WRoswell High School was the Camero High School.
G-d, how stupid she had been to attend that school. She should have lied about her adress and gone like her neighbours near her house. No one would have known.
But she thought that the people she asked for money would have considerated the famous school she attended and agreed to give that loan to her. She thought that she could have the same chances to obtain that money than any other student. She hoped so much to escape from her background. Big mistake Miss Parker!!
Thus, she learnt that a bank was not a charity. She'd know to remember that.
A 4 years dream comes to the end today.
And what is she going to do now? What is she going to do in that house that has only the name of house? What is going to do without future?
*Think about it Liz! Think about it!*
First of all, she had to find a job for Summer. She was certain to earn enough to be able to pay evening courses in September. At 18 years old, her mother couldn't forbid her to work unless she chased her from home. But she didn't believe that. Her mother counted on her to take care of the house. But to pay her bills for beers, rents and courses, she needed a lot of money... Something that wouldn't annoy Mrs Parker since she could send her daughter's virginity to a man as long as he was rich.
Liz untied her bicycle and was about to mount it when she heard the noise of a powerful motor behind her. She knew who was the owner "That's not the good moment. The classes are over and I don't want to see anyone."
That was Max's car. Maybe he was going to a party with some of his rich friends. Maybe there was a party around his swimming pool with Tess Harding wearing a sexy bikini.
The noise stopped and Max climbed out of his Corvette.
The silence was deafening by its intensity. Liz felt that he could hear her thoughts. Her stomach was empty and she was so hungry that she hid its noise giggling nervously.
"You're ok?" he asked approaching her.
"Perfectly." she replied looking at her shoes. "I was looking for my lens."
"I ignored that you had them."
"I don't. I was joking. What do you want?"
*Why was she always provoking him at all coasts?* he wondered. He walked toward her uncomfortable.
"Hmm... Look... some of us.... we're going to swimm... and listen to music...."he stammered.
"Ok. Then?" she said dryly not wanting to make things easy for him.
"You don't have to talk to me like this you know." he retorted.
Liz glared at him.
"Stop playing the bitch! I thought that maybe you would enjoy to come with us. That was not such a bad idea!"
Quite angry, she turned her back to him. "Why do you want me to come if I'm a bitch?"
"No...no"
"You just said it."
"No. I said : stop playing the bitch."
"That's the same."
Brushing his hair nervously, Max didn't know how to manage with her. "Look at me Liz. What's wrong?"
She burst out laughing as if he said something stupid. "What's wrong? That's the best I heard."
Eager to leave, not understanding her changes of mind, Max got angry. "Do you want to come or not?"
"And how would I go?"
He looked at her bicycle. "We go with my car and I'll take you back here later."
"Anyways, I don't have any swimm suit."
"Come with me and we'll take it at your home."
"No. I've told you that I don't have any. Don't you understand?"
Not knowing what to do, Max insisted "We'll find one there."
*A Evans's swimm suit? Out of question! Rather dying.*
"I don't come."
"As you like. What are you going to do then?"
Liz shrugged "The same I'm doing every day after school. I'm going home."
"Are you crazy Liz? There is only ONE last school day in all your life."
That was indeed the last time she could spend a quiet day. The last time she was attending school, the last time she was reassured by his face, his laugh, his golden eyes when he looked at her like someone important, the last time she could enjoy her freedom.
She took her hat off and realized that she was trembling. "I have nothing to celebrate. I talked to the director earlier."
"I know. And what? What did he say? Do you have some good news?"
"Nothing new for my future."
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing. I don't want to talk about it." she grumbled putting her hat on her bundle of straw.
"Liz, I know you. That's when you say that you don't want to talk about something that means that you really want to do it. Am I wrong?"
"Do you think that you know me?"
"Absolutely! We are together at school since so long that I know you very well."
She didn't like that idea. She hated the idea that someone knew her. "You don't know anything about me" she yelled.
"Enough to forbid you to go back home at once."
"And why should I have to go to YOUR house?" she said a finger on her chin feigning to ponder "Let's see what is it about? I should go to your place because all our friends would be there. LIE. I have no friends. So that's not the reason...."
"You have friends Liz." he corrected her.
"Honestly Max, I go to school with students that barely tolerate me, I play with some guys who need me. That's all."
His finger pointed toward her, he got angry. "What you're saying about the band is idiot and low."
Max could tell whatever he wanted, she didn't listen to him anymore. She was only thinking that her life was wretched.
"Friends?" she laughed bitterly "I don't spend hours talking about clothes or hairstyle. Or to know which girl slept with which boy. I don't have a phone so it's impossible. I don't spend hours walking in the malls. I have no one to go with and no money to spend."
"Bullshit Liz! You don't need money to walk around in a mall."
She glared at him furious. She hated when he was minimising what she was saying because, in fact, he was unable to be at her place. No he didn't understand anything!
"You don't know anything about my life Max. So don't talk about something you don't even know."
"What are you talking about? I know how you're living. Didn't I come once at your place? You forgot it. I went there once and that was enough for me if you want the bottom of my thought. So don't come and say that you have no friends, at least you have one. ME. And you also have Alex and Michael and Kyle. We often asked you for joining us, to go to movies or I don't know where. You always said NO. Maybe we should have insisted more."
Of course she always refused! It was not worthwhile to enter in a world that was not hers, that she knew she only yearned for. No she didn't work like this. She was not going to play the poor girl and tempt to follow people living in a world she didn't belong to. For what? That was not interesting for her and could only hurt her sensitivity. Anyway, she always managed her life by herself, she had no choice and that was because of that surviving instinct that she was still alive.
"Thanks but no. No mall , no movies, no swimming pool for me. I'm going home to practice my music. Who knows? I could play in a jazz club and spare the tips to pay law college....when I'll be 30 years old!"
"Why didn't you ask for the music scholarship?"
"Because I want to study Law, Max and I wouldn't be able to manage both successfully. I love music and saxo but I want more. I want to help people." she replied tears in her eyes.
She turned her head to hide her tears. She didn't want him to see her cry. She only want to yell, to hit her bicycle, to tear her hair off. Hatred.
But no. She couldn't do it. Not in front of Max.
"What can I do for you Liz?"
There was a dead silence.
"What do you want me to tell you? How can I help you?"
"I don't need your pity Max. Take your car and go back to your funny life."
She turned her back to him and he left.
As she was mounting on her bicycle, she followed his step on the gravel and she heard him open his car door. Immobile, her eyes red, her fingers tightened on the handlebars and playing with the chain, she waited for him to leave. *What does he do?* she thought angrily *What does he wait for starting his car?*
She waited...waited... Nothing. The car didn't start. She felt the envy to turn around to see.. just to see *Don't do that* she grumbled.
Then she heard his steps on the gravel again. He was approaching. No doubt, he was coming back. Oh no! Not now that she had cried! And what did he want?
When she felt him beside her, she felt anger rising within her, she turned around toward him furiously "What do you want again?" she exploded. "I told you that I wouldn't come to your damned party. Leave me alone!"
She was boiling in front of that rich boy who could disturb her so easily. Why did he refuse to understand who was Liz Parker, a plain and not interesting girl who didn't care of parties, movies, friends....and yet, how she would love him to pull her into his arms to reassure her, to appease her fears and anxiety, to tell her that everything will be all right.
More irritated than ever, she felt the fury take the best of herself and fidgeted with the chain. Tears running on her face, she couldn't help but burst into tears. Nervously, she wiped her face with her hand staring at Max.
Uncomfortable in front of her distress, he didn't know what to say and finally found one word, only one "Take."
And he handed her a piece of paper.
"What's that?" she groaned exasperated.
"Take that."
Curious, she took the paper, that was a cheque, an enormous amount of money was written on it and signed Max Evans. "What do you want me to do with that?" she stammered shocked.
His hands trembled as much as his voice "I thought that you wanted to go to college."
College? She dreamt of college. But her dignity prevented her to accept that money. "I can't accept it. I can't take it." she said giving him back the cheque.
His arms folded, he insisted. "I ask you to accept it."
"That's for your place in Heaven?" she mocked bitterly.
"You can say that. I dream to play music with the angels." he said smiling. "Stop being stupid Liz. This money is mine. My grandpa gave it to me when he died. I don't need it. I was waiting for a good reason, worthy of interest to spend it."
"Because for you, I'm a good reason worthy of interest?" she inquired, remembering that the banks didn't think that of her.
"Yeah. You deserve it."
"Why?"
Annoyed, he sighed. "Because you're my friend and you need it."
Liz was glaring at him *Why doesn't he leave her alone with his cheque? Why does he look at her like if she was completely stupid and crazy? Ah, you think that I'm crazy? Wait a second!* she thought.
"How dare you to command what I have to do?" she yelled, her anger and despair exploding "How dare you??"
What happened next was completely his fault. If he didn't stay, she would go home. She wouldn't be confronted with a impossible choice : have in her hands the keys of her future and have to push it away.
Out of control, she began to make the chain turn with rage.
"Go ahead, hit me if that could sooth your anger." Max said.
Without thinking, she make the chain turn faster.... faster.... faster.... and she let it go.
Carried by its surge, the chain went to hit Max's face. Blood spurted and Max collapsed on the floor and didn't move.
Oh my G-d! Oh my G-d!
She mounted her bicycle, the cheque in her hand, she couldn't think about anything but flee.
A last glance to her poor friend lying on the floor and apparently unconscious, she heard a little voice within her telling "Run....Run away quickly!"
Her eyes swallen with tears, she was suffocating. "Run....Run....Run away" the voice repeated again.
Rushing on the road, she heard in the far the ambulance horn and continue to run away faster.
When she arrived at home, she reminded of what happened with Max.
"If the police doesn't come to take me, I'll take the money." she said cool and lucid.

"No...no"
"You just said it."

hey guys, finally we have reach the end of that fic. I'm sad to end it, but every good thing has an end, no? lol. Seriously, I'd like to thank all the readers that follow my crazy mind here and the lurkers that read that fic even if they didn't leave a fb. Thank you very much.
pandas2001- no. she said that she'll pay his money back, but she felt like her mother and felt like if she was obliged to pay with her body. and he tried to see her but she never let him. Thank you.
Natalie 36 - What can I say? yeah she did it but if you read that last part, you'll see what is really eating her inside. Thank you.
LairaBehr4- Laira, you're one of the people who push me to end that fic. I did it. Thank you. this part is long like you do yourself for your fic. Hope you'll like it. Thank you for all.
roswell3053- Completely agree with you. she really felt like shit in front of this handsome but so spoiled young man. she felt like if she failed in her life too. she was certain to end her life like her mother. thank you.
begonia9508- Eve, I agree with you about the rich people and Liz felt like if she was finishing her life like her mother did, since she accepted money from a man. for her, that was worse than Max's pity. She was following her hateful mother's path and she couldn't accept that. I think that's what explains the violence of her reaction.
thank you all for the support. if my work interested you, just know that I'll update all my fics this week. I have a little week to have fun and write those parts b4 RL eats me alive.
Chapter 14
1 month later....
Behind her desk, Liz was arguing with her friend and partner Maria Deluca "Maria, I think that our conclusions are very weak."
Maria put her hands on the desk and leant toward her friend "Look, you and I, we know that the most important is the way we're presenting our conclusions. And aren't we the best?"
Liz looked up sadly "I'm not joking"
"A month ago, you would have found that funny, but since you came back from that damned weekend, it seems that you lost your humor sense."
That was true. If she knew that making love with Max would transform her into a frustrated inefficient and dismal ghost, she would have thought about it twice before going to that reunion. The reason was not the lack of sex, the reason was that she was in love with Max Evans.
Straightening, Liz sent a bright smile to Maria "I swear that I'll laugh at all your jokes from now." she stated solemnly.
"Humm... I bet that you're dreaming of another reunion of elders to meet that handsome man you didn't tell me anything about, huh dear friend!!!"Maria said sarcasticly.
And glad to have expressed her frustations, she left Liz's office.
"Close the door behind you!!!" Liz yelled
At last alone, she became to contemplate Maria's words. Pictures of little cats, a mare named Charlie Parker and her foal were filling her mind.
If he has named his mare Charlie Parker after her prefered saxophonist does that mean that he has forgiven her? Did he do that because of her too?
So where is the problem then? Within her definetely.
Why so many years after the act of agression does she continue to punish herself? Why so many weeks after she saw him, did she continue to live like a prisonner, at least like her own prisonner. She is pathetic without any reason. She was well known in her job, she owned a fabulous car, expensive and classy clothes that could make all the high society women jealous. She had enough dollars on her account to do whatever she wanted...but....but, she had some other goals in her life, most important for her.
Maybe after the way she lived during her youth, she needed to be secured. Yet, she didn't work like a damned to enter the Evans's circle, those rich and so vain people, that was not her goal.
She stood up and walked toward the window. The lights of the night were illuminating the town like diamonds. People who were living here were wealthy and liked to show their status symbols to the others. But she was not like them. She wanted to be a good lawyer to defend the people who had a miserable life and no one to help them, she was able to help them, she was the best for that since she lived their lives before. Her present life didn't change her, she was the same despite her status. Her commitment was deep and Max couldn't mistake about it. *Hey! Why am I thinking about him? He forgot me since that night...."
That night.... The only night they spent together wasn't only the contact of their skins. They laughed together when they talked about the music they played with the Paquet, they shared the same emotion when she talked about her father's death, about her mother and their life when she lived with her. They talked about the 15 years they lived apart, his job as journalist and hers as a famous lawyer. But they didn't talk about their future together. And Max didn't tell her that he loved her. Worse, when she left, he only said goodbye. Did she deceive him? She knew that she was not experienced for sex but she thought that he liked their moments. Maybe she was wrong, maybe he didn't like it. Maybe he didn't forgive her for the past and her behavior then.
Never mind, she deserved it.
For Max, the weeks that he spend apart from Liz were completely different. He knew that she was not ready to forgive herself for what she did to him and he prefered to give her time and space to think about it. A week after their unforgettable night, she hadn't called him and he understood that she prefered to not give a chance to their couple.
He knew that he could call her but her silence hurt him. He tried to go out with some women and one of them, Serena, had succeeded to distract him.... for a while.
Serena had everything to please him : brunette, pretty, interesting and smart.
As they shared the same passion for music, they went to a concert. Tonight, they were walking along the river among the little shops for tourists.
They stopped when Serena noticed a cute red hat, she put it on her head and turned around toward Max "Ridiculous, don't you think?"
He stopped dead in his tracks thinking to see Liz in front of him and he was breathless.
"Is it that ridiculous?" she asked worried.
"No, no....Don't worry...I mean it fits you like a glove." he tried to reassure her and in the same time he bought the hat.
Serena frowned but didn't said a word. She took his arm and continued the walk. Max was really upset *Geez Liz again!!! Serena is kind and smart and.....no, she's not Liz*. Every girl he dated had the same defect, he understood now, they were perfect but they weren't Liz. Liz with her past, her fears, her bad temper...
"Max, I'd like to talk to you." Serena said startling him.
"Oh, I don't think it's good for me!" he joked.
"Max" she glared at him and he stopped. "I like you, but I don't want someone who decide for me, and you're that kind of man. Like for the hat, you offered it to me before I had decided it I wanted it or not."
"I know.... Someone told me that..."
"Who are that "someone"? The girl you doing your best to forget? The girl you don't stop to compare with me?"
"Wrong" he tried to defend himself.
He took her hands in his, the same tiny hands...But why didn't he feel the same way with Serena like he felt with Liz?
"Look, you're right.... There were someone, but...It's over now. I'm sorry if I upset you."he said embarrassed.
"I'd like to go back home, please."
"You're still angry because of the hat"
"No...Max, I've told you, you're a wonderful man but you're still in love with that woman. I can't compete with her and I don't want to. I'm sorry, we better stop going out together." she stated.
When Max left her in front of her door, he was really upset. *Damned you Liz! Because of you, I've never been able to think about someone else than you.* he cursed Liz. Since a month, despite all his efforts to forget her, he couldn't think about anyone than her. He was desperatly and deeply and completely in love with her and he was going to tell her once for all. *Miss Liz Parker, you're destined to be with me for the next 50 years and I won't let you escape from me anymore.* he swore. *The night is young and you, Liz Parker, will have the surprise of your life.* he said climbing into his car.
A few hours later
The noise of the door which was opening startled her "Maria, I've told you to leave me alone." she said against the window.
"Is it your job to hold the window with your head?" answered a familiar voice.
That was Max.
Liz straightened, her heart racing. The man who was reflecting in the window was the same young man she fell in love 15 years ago. Wearing jeans with a red shirt, he looked so young and innocent. But when she turned around toward him, the young man disappeared, instead there was a real man, Max Evans.
Shocked, she sat down behind her desk and looked at him, moved.
She saw in his eyes a strong determination and she quivered. *Funny, he entered at the moment when I was thinking about him!* she thought then smiled. Max could have come the day before or the day after, it would have been the same, she was thinking about him, she was obssessed by him. Recovering her composure she sent him a bright smile.
"What a good surprise!" she said playing casual "What are you doing here?"
Max walked toward her, scratching his head "Good question. I'm asking the same question since 200 miles".
"And did you get an answer?"
He nodded.
"Liz, when you left that day, I knew that you needed space and time. I let you one month for that but you didn't call me though. I didn't want to disturb you with your job. I knew that you had a trial...."
"I always have a trial or a case to defend, you know."
"So you're never free to decide to leave your office to have fun?"
"I didn't say that. The fact is that I have a lot of work."
"Do you mean too much work?"
"Too much to do some things, but not to do some others." she said mischeviously.
"Not too much to call a friend I suppose."
She shook her head. "No. The proof is that I called Michael one day."
"I see" he said sternly. He was angry and she saw lightnings of anger in his eyes. "I see that you are too busy to call the friends you sleep with."
Liz stiffened "I don't sleep with friends."
"With your ennemi then?"
That was enough for Liz. "If you came to insult me, you better leave...."
"I have something to tell you Liz." he said softly. "That's why I came."
He walked toward the window and came back in front of her desk "Look, when we met at the reunion, I should have tell you what I had in the bottom of my heart, what I was feeling for you no matter if you'd like it or not."
His hands on the desk, he leant toward her and stared at her "I love you, probably since the first day I saw you. I'm sure that I've always loved you, but my feelings are not the problem here."
*He loves me!! He loves me!!* Liz couldn't help to chant unbelievablely happy. She made an effort to recover her composure.
"Where is the problem?"
"You refuse to forget the agression. We talked about it. You apologized. But you don't want to forget it. Liz, Baby, please forget it."
She frowned. "I don't know what you're talking about" she lied.
"Liz, even if I tried to date some other women, I thought about you every day during that month." he said ignoring her frown. "I wondered why you didn't call me. I turned the question again and again, I contemplated all the answers. I came to the conclusion that you couldn't stop to shame yourself because of the past. Am I right?"
"Yes. That story is eating me alive Max. Do you want to know why? Because till today, I wonder why the police didn't come to arrest me."
"Poor Baby, don't you know? That's obvious. Because I lied to my parents. I told them that I ignored who attacked me, that I didn't remember anything. I couldn't accuse you."
Liz felt dizzy. That's was so unreal! *He only thought about protecting me* she thought trying to apease the emotion that was overwhelming her.
"Max, that was not a denunciation! Everyone knew that I was guilty."
"Maybe the rumor, but I never confessed anything about it. There was no whitness and I couldn't ruin your future. When they found me, I was conscious."
"You weren't when I left."
"Listen Liz, you were my friend, I saw your house, I knew that you would be a great and talented lawyer if they could give you a chance. So I forgave you. But today, I refuse to see you locked in the past, I refuse to see you spoil your life. I waited for 15 years to find you but I'm tired to wait. I love you too much to wait again."
Saying that he left her, overwhelmed by the words he said. She was hearing all that he told her, the words were turning in her head. Agitated, she returned to her place against the window.
She was going to loose him if she was too stubborn to admit that she was wrong.
She looked by the window and saw him on the parking lot. Panicked, she rushed toward the door. "Maria, I'm going out. Take my messages." she yelled.
She ran to the stairs. He told him that he loved her, that he forgave her. She couldn't let him go. She had to react. Max waited for her too long and he could be fed up to wait for someone who don't want to let the past die. She was playing with the fire and she risked to loose him for good. She couldn't let this happen.
He heard someone running behind him but he continued to walk. He even walked faster. Who could run so fast?
He didn't want to turn around, he could feel stupid if Liz was looking at him by the window.
Hearing someone breathing behind, he couldn't resist and turned around to see the sprinter. LIZ!! That was Liz. Liz breathless. Liz tousled. Liz red by the race.
"I don't want to loose you Max." she said breathless.
"Are you sure?" he asked uncertain.
"Sure. I love you Max..."
He didn't let her talk again, he lifted her in his arms and silenced her with a scorching kiss. "I love you so much." he said when they pulled away. "Let's go" he said against her lips.
"Where?"
"Home." he said carrying her in his arms toward his car. He sat her beside him, she felt happier than ever.
Since Max lived far from Liz's office, they decided to go to Liz's house. When they arrived there, Max was so excited that he couldn't restrain himself.
He took her hand and led her to the couch. He fell there with Liz above him. He spread his legs for her to fit at the right place.
"Max, let me stand up"
"I'm holding you. I won't let you go anymore."
He ran his fingers along her back, her butt and her thighs till the hem of her skirt. She shivered remembering the night they spent together. She knew that this night would be more beautiful cause they were free. He forgave her and she admitted it.
Max caressed her bare thigh, she panted, surprised to be so excited by that divine hand that was going up under her skirt. "What are you doing? What do you want?" she asked with a devillish smile.
"You. I desire you. I want you. You're mine Liz, forever."
With both his hands, he caressed her from the shoulders to the knees, arching a little to come to the right place against her. She knew how much he wanted her. She felt how ready he was for her.
He began to move slowly, pulling her against his cock, his eyes burning with passion and love, eager to see how she was going to react.
*Mmmh...You showed me how to play that game Max* she thought kissing him sensualy. Then she opened her eyes and looked straightly into his eyes. "Kiss my breasts" she said eroticaly.
He seemed surprised but didn't hesitate, he opened her blouse and kissed her breasts through the lace of her bra and bit them softly, making Liz cry with pleasure.
"Max, I want to feel your hand on my skin" she begged.
He undid the bra and took her breasts in his hand. He licked them with his tongue, bit the nipples softly making Liz throw her head behind and moan.
Then, she slid her hand between them and unzipped his pant freeing his swallen member. She took it in her hands and caressed it until Max was panting between her breasts, almost climaxing from the pleasure she was giving to him.
When she was ready, she got rid of her panties and welcommed Max within her heat.
They sighed together feeling at home since he was thrusting in and out her body.
Without a word, they began their love dance, Liz closed her eyes to feel the pleasure overwhelming her. Then she opened them to look at Max who was staring at her with so much love in his eyes.
She smiled and unable to restrain himself, he swooped down on her mouth and ravished it. Together, attached by their lips and their hips, they danced the eldest dance in the world, the love dance that led them to the summits of the pleasure.
They cried their names, their undying love for each other till Max fell on her, exhausted.
For long minutes they were linked together, Max was still inside her body, he didn't want to let her go. "That was fantastic!"
Then, he helped her to stand up and sent her to the bathroom. When she came back, he handed her a bag "I give you 5 minutes to fill it with your things. We won't come back before long." he said.
When she finished, still bare feet, Max told her that he couldn't kidnapp her without her shoes. "Max, you're crazy!"
"I'd say for you, but we have no time for a second round so hurry."
"I have to change!"
"No. I have a fantasy. I dream to undress Liz Parker, the most famous lawyer of Denver."
She laughed and threw herself in his arms. He kissed her, took her face in his hands to possess her whole mouth. They were drowning in a sea of pleasure, unable to stop the intense desire they had from each other. Max took all his willpower to untie her hands and pull away.
"Stop for the moment."
"Maaax!" she whined.
But he didn't cave into her plea. She pouted "Where are we going?" she asked.
"To a place I could undress you and make love to you as long as we want it."
He was relaxed and smiling. His eyes were full of a passionated tenderness and love for this woman.
"Liz Parker, I love you and we're going to spend the rest of our life together, living adventure to another adventure. Are you ready?"
"Yeah, I'm ready to follow you till the end of the world"
TBC..IF YOU WANT IT.................................................................
pandas2001- no. she said that she'll pay his money back, but she felt like her mother and felt like if she was obliged to pay with her body. and he tried to see her but she never let him.

Chapter 15 or Epilogue (as you like!!)
6 months later
He did what he promised for the 6 months after.
That day, they went to her office to inform Maria that Liz was leaving for a long while. Maria was happy for her friend, happy to see her so free. She fell for Max obviously but she told him that he better treats Liz like a queen or he'll have to deal with her.
For the next 3 months, Liz and Max travelled all around the country, free to live the life they dreamt to live, together.
Every minute, she was living an anticipated honeymoon. He made her life a dreaming adventure she wouldn't forget for all her life. Knowing that Liz didn't take time to really enjoy her college years like every american young woman, he showed her not only some parts of the States she never saw, but one day, they crossed the ocean to visit a city where Liz never expected to be....Paris.
She couldn't stop laughing and kissing him during the flight, happy to visit that mythic city for the first time of her life and Max surprised her leading her to the heart of the music area in the 50s, Saint Germain des Pres.
They arrived in a small hotel, he booked a room under the roof and at night they could see all the lights of Paris in front of them.
"Max... I don't know how to thank you. I'm dreaming."
"I didn't do anything that you didn't deserve Liz. Even if time went by, knowing that our prefered musicians lived here is overwheming. I wanted to show you the place your father would have known if he would have come or your grandpa. I wanted to show you that place where musicians, painters, writers enjoyed life even if they hadn't money. The city has changed but you can smell the atmosphere, you know that it's special here."
"That's beautiful, all the stars in the sky, all those lights....."
"That's nothing compared to you my love. I can see those stars in your eyes and you're more beautiful that everything in this world." he said kissing her deeply.
"You know I don't know if I'll want to come back home after being here in Paris. I think that I'm going to call Maria to tell her that I'd like to live here. That's so beautiful, that's so different." she cried overwhelmed by the emotion.
"Baby...don't cry. I didn't take you here to make you sad.."
"I'm happy as I've never been in all my life Max, that's why I'm crying. I don't want to return to the normal life. I want to spend every day of my life with you, here in Paris."
"Liz, first, we'll stay here as long as you'll want, however, I don't think it's fair for Maria if you leave her like this. Let's enjoy our live here and we'll see." he said reasonning her like if she was a little girl. In a way, she was and Max couldn't help to be moved every second by her innocence.
She can be good and efficient in her job, but Liz will stay the same young and fragile girl she was 15 years ago. He was proud to be the one who shared that moments with her, she was so unhappy during her youth, she never expected to see farther than her dirty area.
And because one day he helped her, because of her strong determination, because one night they met again at that reunion, her dreams came true so did his.
During their trip all around the States, they discussed about the past, Max wanted it to be forgotten and forgiven once for all. She agreed that she had to overcome her guilt if she wanted to live free from her past.
He helped her to see that, in fact, she didn't do anything than let her anger, her despair take the best of her. He understood that her mother's example was a shame for her and when he gave her that cheque, she saw herself like her mother, accepting money from men, to live.
"You don't know Max how ashamed I was of my mother. Every time, I've seen her accepting that money from men, I've wanted to die rather than being like her. You and the Paquet were what kept me alive, what gave me the strength to continue every day of my life."
"I understand Liz. I have my part of guilt there. I shouldn't have given you that cheque like I did. I was angry that you didn't accept it. I was terrified that because of your pride, you would miss to do what you were meant to do, I mean the great lawyer that you are today."
"I hated you that day and yet I was in love with you. Maybe that's the reason why I was so fiercely angry with you."
"Liz, I was what you hated. I mean my family, my way of life, I knew that you didn't want anything to do with that kind of people. When I gave you that cheque, I did it like my father, like a rich man, not like your friend. I'm sorry."
"Max, when I ran that day, I was so sure that the police would come to arrest me that I stayed in my room waiting for them. After a week, no one came and I wondered why. I couldn't imagine that you wouldn't say a word....."
"I couldn't Liz. If I had talked your future would have be ruined. That was not worthy. I'm proud of you, of what you became Liz...."
"Do you think that you made a good investment?"she asked mischeviously.
"I never thought about you as an investment Liz" he replied hurt.
"Maax, I'm sorry. I was joking. Please forgive me." she pleaded, kissing him all over his face.
"It's ok Liz if you're sure that you have no doubts about that cheque I gave to you." he said taking her face in his hands.
"I have no doubts Max. I know now."
Looking at Paris in front of her, Liz thought that without that cheque, she wouldn't be there with the love of her life and she thanks her good star to have put that man on her path.
The days after, they spent time visiting, walking along the small streets of Saint Germain. Liz was surprised to find some people who could tell her about the musicians she dreamt to meet. They talked to an old restaurant owner who knew Hemingway and Picasso or Sidney Bechet. He told them a lot of stories about them and all those people who were living there at that time.
They went to Deauvill too, a small town in Normandy where those people spent time too. Max wanted to show her all the places that meant something to her, not because she knew about them but the people she respected lived there.
After visiting lots of places around France, they returned to Paris, Max felt that they had to come back to the reality. They had their minds full of wonders they saw for almost 6 months.
One day, he left Liz at the hotel. He had an important purchase to do alone. He went to Cartier. He wanted the best for her and he bought her a.....well let's see how Liz will react first.
He wanted that night to be special. He went first to that old restaurant owner to tell him about his plans for the evening. He wanted it to be the best memory of her life. The old man assured him that he'll have all the space for them tonight, he promised that he'll hire an jazz band to play all the musics Liz loved. They fixed 7:00 that evening for everything to be ready.
So, happier than ever, Max returned to the hotel. He had to convince Liz to buy a dress.
"Hey!" she said when he opened the door. She was at the balcony enjoying the view. "Where were you?"
"I had something important to do."
"Do you have a secret life that excluedes me?" she asked worried.
"Liz, Liz... How incredible you are? I just have to go somewhere alone for you to doubt of my faith for you. I can't be with another one but you Liz. Don't you know that?" he said taking her hands in his. He was so eager to give her her present that he almost caved in.
"Where were you? You can tell me if you don't want me to doubt or to think that you're hiding something from me."
"Silly girl, that's our last night here and I went to book a table to that restaurant we love so much, happy? Now, you're going to be a good girl and come with me, I'd like to take you to a beautiful store to choose a beautiful dress. Come on."
"I don't need it. The restaurant is cool, I can dress casual."
"Liz, please. Our last night....."
"You say that as if that will be the last night we'll be together......"
He grabbed her and kissed her fiercely. "You're my dream girl, I've waited for you for 15 years and a month to be with you. Don't you think that it's enough to show you how much I love you? I don't want to leave you Liz. You're stuck with me till the end of our life, if you don't want it, tell me now."
That was her turn to grab him and kiss him with all the passion she felt for him. "Is that enough for you?" she asked him her eyes locked with his.
"Completely. Now I need you to come with me Liz."
She hopped on her feet and reached out her hand "I'm all yours."
They went to Givenchy, a famous fashion designer near the Champs Elysees. There, they found the most beautiful and romantic white dress Liz ever dreamt to possess. Of course Max paid for it even if Liz said that she was an independant woman.
Then he left Liz at Frank Provost, the hairdresser. Liz felt like Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman". She had enough money to buy the dresses she liked but today, Max gave her a special day, treating her like a princess and being in the Mecca of the fashion and the hairstyle was exhilarating for her.
When she returned to the hotel, Liz found a single red rose with a note saying that she had to get ready to 6:30.
A 6:30, she heard a knock at the door, she ran to open the door "Maax, I was think....ing that.....Who are you?" she asked to the driver that was in front of her.
"Mr Evans sent me to pick you up." he said bowing a little.
"Where?" she asked curious
"I'm not allowed to tell you. In fact, he told me to put that scarf on your eyes. May I?" he asked with a smile.
"Are you sure that you're not here to kidnap me?"
"Of course not. If you're scared, you can call Mr Evans, he'll tell you." he said seriously.
"That's ok. Let's put that thing on my eyes and let's go to meet that crazy man." she said turning her back to him. He put the scarf and led her to the car.
After a little while, she felt the car stop. "Why do you stop?"
"We're arrived. My mission is finished. I wish you a very good evening, Miss Parker."
"Where is Max?" she said trying to unfold the scarf.
"Don't do that. Mr Evans said that he'll come to take you in a minute."
Liz stayed in the car not knowing where she was, when Max would come to take her to the restaurant. That was a complete mystery.
Suddenly, she heard his voice "Liz, open the door and come here."
"Where are you? I can't see you. Please Max, I'd like to take this scarf off."
"Not yet Baby. Come with me."
"Give me your hand." she said walking blindly toward him. She felt his hand taking her and reassured, she let him lead her. "Where are we? At the restaurant?"
He didn't answer. "Maax?" she was a little worried.
"Shhh"
She heard the first notes of "Petite Fleur", a Sidney Bechet's song, she learnt to love since she met the owner and unwillingly she began to hum.
She felt someone behind her to unfold the scarf "Maax? Who is...." she asked since she had her hand in Max's one.
"Shhh"
She blinked when she opened her eyes and gasped. Beside her, that was not only Max but Alex and Michael, Kyle, Serena and Maria were around Max, on a little stage nicely decorated.
There were candles all around the restaurant and white roses. She recognized the owner beside the counter and some people she didn't know were smiling at her.
Speechless, she looked at Max since tears were flowing on her cheeks.
"Please Joker, don't cry. That's a beautiful day for you." Alex whispered in her ears. She turned around toward him shocked "What are you doing here? And all of you? Maria? What are you doing here? I thought you were replacing me at the office." she said laughing and crying in the same time as she was walking toward her friends to hug everyone.
Max was looking at her from his place, moved to see the love of his life. She looked at him with all the love she had for him. "I'm waiting for you, I love you." he mouthed and reached out his hand to her.
She took his hand and climbed on the stage without talking, still shocked. She had no idea why her friends were here, why Maria was here too but she was unable to articulate a word now that she was in front of Max.
"Liz... I hope you don't mind if I didn't come to pick you up at the hotel, but I had to pick those people at the airport first and get everything prepared for tonight." he said with a shy smile.
"Wh...why are we he...here?" she finally asked huskily.
"To play with the Paquet in a place where all the people we loved played."
"WHAT? You make Maria leave the office to see me playing with my...... I don't have my saxo, and where are your intruments gentlemen?" she cried out.
"We're not playing music, Liz, at least not now. I have to introduce to someone else, first." he said and a man with a 3 colors scarf across his chest appeared from behind a curtain. "Miss Parker, I'm very happy to meet you." he said kissing softly her hand.
"Who are you? I don't think we already met."
"No, but Mr Evans asked for me to come tonight and I'm here."
"For what?" she asked again. She turned toward Max. "What did you do, Max? I don't understand anything."
"Liz, we're in France, in Paris, and Mr Petit is working at the City hall. I asked him to come cause I have an important question to ask you."
"And you need him to ask it?"
"Not really......"
"You didn't tell me why Maria and the Paquet are here? When did they arrive by the way?" she asked her fists on her hips.
"Humm...That bad temper of yours! Liz, first let me give you that bunch of white roses. It's for you, cause you are pure like a white rose." he said and handed it to her.
Liz felt tears bluring her eyes as she looked at Max and then at the bunch in front of her. "What does that mean?" she asked showing a red rose in the middle of the bunch.
"My heart beating only for you Liz." he said hoarsly.
She wiped her eyes with her hands and gasped again. There was something brighting in the rose. That looked like a.....diamond!!!!
"Max!!!" she said surprised.
Whilst their friends cheered them, Max took the ring and knelt in front of her "Liz, I met you 18 years ago, at school, and I fell for you since the minute I saw you, but life made us apart for 15 years and today, I want to tell you how much I'm happy to have you by my side, how much I love you. I want to tell that I want to spend my all life with you. I can't breathe if you're not beside me Liz, I'm sure you won't let me die..." he said smiling through his own tears.
Liz was unable to answer, she shook her head for no. "Liz....I've waited for a long time to ask you but now that I found you, I don't want to waste a minute. Liz Parker, will make me the most happiest man of the universe and be my wife? Will you marry me?"
Everyone were holding their breathe. The restaurant was silent, waiting for Liz's anwer. She was so shocked than she couldn't express herself. Max worried. *Is she upset? Was he wrong expecting her feelings as strong as his?"
"Liz?"
She shook her head for no and Max almost died, then she did the only thing she was able to do, she grabbed him and kissed him.
Relieved, Max could only hold her tightly against his heart, that heart that was racing like a fool, and kiss her back.
As they didn't stop doing it, the Paquet, Maria and Serena were cheering them. "Ok, Max, that's enough. Mr Petit is waiting for you, so do we." Alex and Michael said.
Max pulled away but didn't let her go "Liz, we waited for years for us to be reunited, are you ready to begin your life with me? I want to spend the next 50 years with you and I hope that you want it too."
"Yes Max, I want to spend my all life with you too." she said happy.
Finally, it took 15 years for Max and Liz to be reunited, but they had to make that long way to find the second half part of their souls.
Did they live HEA? I let your imagination find out.
