I found that out doing some research for a fic. I was surprised to find

out that the name is female in origin. Zan (the character) is so

masculine and in your face :)

I just looked it up on Babynames.com, and it was male and Hebrew. That's the good news. The bad news, it means "well fed". WTF???????

And here are what the other names mean.
Max- Greatest, Latin
Liz- Consecrated to God, Hebrew
Maria- Bitter sea, Spanish
Michael- Who is like God, Hebrew
Isabel- Consecrated to God, Spanish
Alex- Protector of mankind, Greek
Tess- Harvester, Spanish
Kyle- Narrow land, handsome, Celtic, Gaelic
Ava- Like a bird, Latin.

Interesting, I thought. They didn't have Vilandra or Rath.

Maybe the name Zan has different meanings and different

ethnic origins. I know I read that 1 of the origins was oriental :)

That's nice that you looked up the other names 8)

I can't remember at the moment, it's on the tip of my brain but I can't focus on it. I do remember at the time thinking, "Hey, just like Nasedo."
