Okay, guys as I said before, I wanted to let you all see the wonderful banner made by Chynna Princess. She did a wonderful job with the choice of Max in the banner. And I also loved how there is a bracelet like the ones Liz was looking at when she went to the flea market at the bottom of the banner. And of course, the background is similar to the place I imagined Liz driving through at the very beginning of the story. Thanks again for a wonderful banner, Chynna!

Now on with the show...

Part 11
Maria was waiting for me at my locker bright and early Monday morning. I smiled as I joined her at the locker, "Hey 'Ria, what's up?"
She laughed, "I think that's a question only you can answer at the moment right?"
I playfully smacked her arm as she wiggled her eyebrows, "Ha ha! Very funny Maria."
"Soooo," she prompted, "things still peachy in la la land?"
I rolled my eyes as I placed some of my books in the locker and others into my bag, "Are you gonna ask me that every time we talk?"
She pouted, "Awww, c'mon chica. You're dating one of the hottest, richest men alive today! Let me live vicariously through you, please?"
I chuckled, "Okay, yeah," I sighed, "things are incredible really."
She grinned, "Really? So what did you guys do?"
"I went to his place yesterday and he made lunch for me."
As we began making our way down the hall to our first class she squealed, "Ohhh! See, how lucky can you get? Handsome, rich, and he can cook."
I giggled, "Yeah, he's a great cook and it's only a hobby to him, mind you. It's his brother that's the professional chef."
Maria suddenly stopped walking and stared at me, "His brother! Oh my God, Liz, is his brother single? How old is he? Does he look like Max?"
"Maria! Whoa! Slow down!" I laughed, "I don't know if he's single, but he's a year younger than Max and he looks like their dad while Max takes after their mom."
Maria whistled, "Wow, their mom must be beautiful."
At that I started giggling, "I told him the exact same thing. He said he'd always thought his mom was beautiful."
"Aw. How sweet. Gotta love a guy who loves his mom."
I nodded in agreement as we got settled into our desks for the first class of the day. As we sat there waiting for the bell to ring signalling the start of class, I continued to tell Maria all about the meal Max had made for me and some of the things his brother Michael had taught him. Later as I sat working on an in class assignment, I wondered if Michael was indeed single and if so would Max mind going out on a double date with his brother and Maria. I made up my mind to ask him that later. I also decided to ask him if we'd be able to take Maria to the flea market on Saturday since I knew she'd probably love it like I had.

When lunch time came, Maria and I decided to eat our lunch out in the quad area. We found a nice spot under a tree and sat down to enjoy our lunches and continue our girl talk. The two of us were giggling about funny moments in our lives when a shadow blocked out the sun.
Looking up, I saw Kyle standing there with a couple of his lackeys, one of which happened to be my little brother, Kevin. I sighed, "What do you want, Kyle?"
He folded his arms over his chest, "Awww, look guys. Look at how far she's fallen. Now that she's been banned from the group, she has to sit out here all by her lonesome. Poor, Liz." He shook his head, "See, that's what happens when you hang out with trash, your friends abandon you."
I gritted my teeth, but before I had a chance to say anything, Maria was standing and facing Kyle, "Oh please! She's not alone! I'm here with her."
Kyle huffed, "Right, and you are?"
I lurched to my feet, "Look, why don't you go back to the group as you call it and let them keep feeding you lines that'll clog your brain up and leave us alone! You know very well that I wasn't banned from the group. I left them, like I left you, you jerk. And for future reference," I reached out a hand to Maria's arm and pulled her close to my side, "This is my best friend, my real friend, the one who matters, unlike these rest of those social climbing leeches. And her name is Maria, you'd do well to remember that!" I stepped up to Kyle glaring into his eyes, "Oh, and one more thing, that trash you were talking about, I'll have you know I took him out of the trash heap, dusted him off and wouldn't you know, I discovered gold! Too bad I couldn't find the gold that was buried in you, there was too much shit to dig through!"
Without another word, Maria and I picked up our things and stormed off into the school building, leaving a glaring Kyle and his friends who all wore shocked looks on their faces. Once we were inside and on our way to the music room, Maria doubled over in laughter. "Did you see their faces?" She asked in between gales of laughter, "clog your brain, social climbing leeches, too much shit to dig through!" She wiped the tears from her face, "Man! Where did you come up with those things? I gotta hand it to you Liz, you were fabulous girlfriend!"
I grinned as Maria snapped her fingers in her familiar sassy way, "Yeah, well the idiot deserved it. I swear, he just doesn't know when to quit. I can't seem to escape him or Kevin and their constant jibes. Every day I see them, they have to make some comment about how I seem to have fallen from grace." I rolled my eyes, "As if they think I'm gonna go crawling back, begging for forgiveness to be let back into their perfect circle."
Maria and I both looked at each other and grinned before simultaneously saying, "Not!"

"Hello, beautiful."
Smiling at the sound of Max's voice, I looked up from the table of shirts I had been rearranging to see him strolling up to me with a bag in his hand. It was Thursday evening and I'd finally gotten the chance to see Max. We'd talked every night on the phone, but this was the first chance I got to see him since the Sunday we'd spent together. Reaching out for his free hand, I tugged him to me and tilted my head back for a quick kiss before leading him towards the back room. On the way there I got Tess' attention to let her know I was taking my break and she nodded letting me know it was okay.
He shut the door behind us and held out the bag with a grin, "Greek salad and pepperoni gyro, as requested."
I chuckled and dug into the bag, "Mmm...it smells really good. I'm starving."
He moved up behind me as I pulled our food from the bag and set it on the table. As he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me back against him, he leaned down to nuzzle my neck, "Hmm....I have to disagree with you. You smell better." I smiled and leaned back into him as he nipped at the skin of my neck. Closing my eyes, I let Max pull me closer and nibble his way down my shoulder.
When his fingers dipped under my shirt and began to caress the skin just beneath the waist band of my skirt, I groaned, "Max, dinner."
He turned me around towards him, taking my face in his hands and leading me to his lips, "Kiss me first beautiful, I've been starving for you."
I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and leaned in as his lips covered mine. The electricity between us was instantaneous. The far away voice of the angel in me, chastised me that I should have known better than to kiss him. The louder voice of the devil gleefully laughed, and told me to skip the meal and go straight for dessert. As usual, I decided dessert was better than the meal would ever be.
Letting my hands roam down the front of his chest, I pulled his shirt up and slid my nails over his chest. As my nails scraped over his nipples he hissed into my mouth. I smiled against his lips and continued to let my hands wander down past his ribs and his abs. Max slid his hands beneath my shirt and up my back. As he pressed one palm into my back, bringing me closer to him, his other palm slid to the front and began caressing my breast over my bra. I growled against his lips and let my fingers move over his jeans until I was cupping him through the jeans.
Max jerked his head up with a gasp, "Liz!"
I smiled up at him and nipped at his chin as I continued to palm him, "I think I want dessert first Max."
He shut his eyes as his hips thrust towards my hand. "Here? In the break room?"
I nodded and leaned in to nibble at the pulse in his neck, "Yes." I lifted my lips to his ear and whispered, "Lock the door, Max."
Without another word, Max reached behind him and locked the door. I smiled and tugged him back to me as I backed up until I could feel the table against me. Our lips met again, and as his tongue slid into my mouth, I maneuvered him into the chair next to me. As he sat down, I bent over him, still kissing him and letting my fingers work at the button of his jeans. When my hand slid past his jeans and boxers to curl around him, he groaned into my mouth. I continued to kiss him as my hand slowly pumped him a few times, before I gently pulled him out of the confines of his jeans. Kneeling down on the floor between his bent legs, I lowered my mouth to the mushroom head and swirled my tongue around it. My name was a groan torn from his throat, "Lizzz."
The sound of my name and the feel of his fingers in my hair encouraged me to go on. Opening my mouth, I took the length of him inside as I curled my fist around the base of him. Another moan from Max made me begin to suck him greedily. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the way he felt in my mouth, the way he tasted. Swirling my tongue around and underneath the length of him, I moaned at the spicy taste. His hips bucked at my moan and I felt his hands tightened in my hair. I didn't stop what I was doing. Creating a vacuum with my mouth, I sucked him harder and began pumping my fist along the base of him. I felt him jerk again when my tongue lapped at the underside of the head. He tugged at my hair, "Beautiful, you have to stop, I can't hold on, baby."
I growled against his skin, but lifted my head from him. Reaching behind him, I dug my hand into his back pocket until I found his wallet and pulled it out. Max sat there breathing hard and watching me with a puzzled look on his face. I grinned up at him as I removed the condom I knew he had stashed in there at all times. Quickly, I unwrapped it and rolled it onto him. He looked up at me as I rose to stand between his legs. As he slid his fingers up my thighs and under my skirt, he asked, "you sure you want to do this here, beautiful?"
I closed my eyes as his fingers slid past my thong and buried themselves inside of me. "Yes, Max, I need you now."
He slid his fingers out of me when he judged me ready and placing his hands on my waist, he guided me down until I was sitting and straddling his legs. Placing my hands on his shoulders, I used them as leverage to lift myself up, then slid back down until I could feel him inside of me. He groaned and dug his fingers into my hips as I began to slowly ride him. I bit my lower lip to keep from making too much noise as I began to pick up the pace. Max lifted my shirt and took a bra covered nipple into his mouth. I whimpered and bit into my lip harder. My movements began speeding up as Max used his hands on my hips to help me. The pull of his mouth on my breasts and the feel of him inside of me soon got the better of me. I leaned forward and kissed him hard, moaning into his mouth as I came hard. He swallowed my moan with his mouth and lifted his hips, thrusting into me as I rode out my orgasm. Lifting my head, I wrapped my arms around his head as he buried his face in my chest, two thrusts later and I felt him pulsing inside of me as his moan was muffled by my chest. As I began slowing the movement of my hips, I held him to me until I knew he was spent. I remained still, with Max in my arms, and my face nuzzling the top of his head.
After a few moments, I pulled slightly away from him and leaned down to place feather light kisses all over his face until he captured my lips in his for another, passionate kiss. When we pulled away, he looked up into my eyes and smiled, "I love you, beautiful."

Erina- Michael and Maria meeting here.

On with the show...

Part 12
I bit back the laughter that threatened to bubble forth at the sight of Maria's face. She turned to me with a look of horror, "We aren't really going in there are we? Think of all the diseases we could contract in a place like that!" She squeaked.
Max rolled his eyes, "Really Maria, I've been coming here for years and so has my mother." He spread his arms out wide, indicating he was fine, "As you can see, I'm perfectly disease free."
I laughed then at the look Maria passed between Max and I. It was Saturday and Max had agreed to take Maria and I to the flea market, since I had managed to get the entire weekend off from work. I didn't tell her where we were going, even though I did tell her that Max and I would be taking her shopping with us. I knew she had assumed it would be to a mall. I'd kept the secret until we had gotten there, and it was already easy to see that her reaction was similar to the one I'd had when Max had first taken me there.
"It's okay, Maria. Max is right, it's not a bad place. I know you'll love it. I loved it and when I was here I knew you'd like it too." I slid my arm into hers, "Come on, just give it a chance okay?"
She reluctantly let me drag her into the market. I kept my arm in hers and she clung to me as if afraid if she let go, she'd get sucked into a black hole hidden among all the flea market stalls. Max walked behind us, allowing Maria and I to take in the sights. As we walked, Maria's eyes grew large, "Wow! Look at all the stuff!"
I grinned, "I know. There's so much here Maria. I know you'll find things you like. I found lots."
She turned to me, "You did?" At my nod she asked, "Like what?"
"Like all the paintings Max has in his apartment. And the red outfit I wore to school on Tuesday, the black leather jacket you keep telling me is the coolest thing you've ever seen, and that white coral necklace you keep threatening to steal."
Maria gaped at me, "Are you serious? You got that necklace here?" She began swinging her head around in attempt to find one like it, "Show me where!" She demanded.
Max laughed as he watched Maria practically drag me through the rows of stalls in search of a necklace similar to mine. In no time at all she was bouncing from stall to stall with a lot of enthusiasm, her fear of diseases long gone from her mind. The three of us made our way from stall to stall browsing through all the clothes, jewelry, and other items that the various vendors were selling.
Max held my hand as we walked behind Maria, who was oblivious to us at that point. He grinned as he watched Maria leaning over a case of earrings and talking to the vendor about the various gemstones housed there. He leaned in and whispered, "Looks like I've managed to convert another one."
I giggled, "Hey, I helped! It was my idea to bring her after all."
He shrugged, "True." He smiled, "So, think she and Michael will still like us in the morning?" he asked.
I bit my lower lip, as I thought about it. I had asked Max if his brother was single and when he'd said yes. I suggested we go on a double date with him and Maria. Max had looked at me like I'd grown a second head for a moment, but then as he'd thought about it, he suggested we try to get them together first before going on a real date with the two of them. He had suggested we take her to Harvey's with us where Michael would be and just let the two of them meet that way. I thought it was a great idea and we set it up so that we'd do the flea market during the day, then that night, we'd hit Harvey's.
I glanced over at Maria who was now haggling with the vendor over a pair of pale blue sapphire earrings. "Gosh, I really do hope so. I hope she'll forgive me in any case." I looked back at Max and chuckled, "And I hope Michael doesn't poison the sauce he gives you."
Max laughed causing Maria to glance back at us before going back to haggling with the vendor. He slid his arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer to nuzzle my cheek, "I'll make sure to appeal to his emotions and tell him if he kills me, you'd be devastated." he whispered into my ear, sending unexpected shivers down my spine.
I turned and looked into his eyes, seeing the sparkle there. "Max! Would he believe you?"
He nodded, "Yes, I'd make sure he did. Michael wouldn't be able to lift a hand once he knew you'd miss me and pine away for the rest of your days. He wouldn't want to leave you helpless and alone without me to spoil you rotten."
Max laughed again as I playfully pushed him away, "Stop! You're such a guy! I do not pine!" At his smirk I added, "And I definitely wouldn't be helpless or devastated."
"You wouldn't?"
I shook my head, "Nope."
He smirked again as he leaned down once more, "Sure about that?"
I glared at him, "Positive."
"Come on, beautiful," he whispered against my neck, "Admit you'd miss me."
I shivered again, "Um...well I guess I would."
His lips grazed my neck, "You'd miss me and would wake up calling my name."
I swallowed my pulse quickening, "Max, I don't think we should talk about this here."
A moan threatened to spill from my lips as I felt his tongue lick a long trail up my neck to the shell of my ear. He lifted my head, his fingers caressing my cheek and kissed me fully. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and pulled him close, oblivious to the fact that we were in the middle of a crowded flea market and my best friend was just a few feet away. The moment his lips had met mine, I didn't care about what we'd been talking about. All I was focused on was the feel of his mouth on mine, the taste of him, the way he made me melt in his arms.
Slowly he pulled away from me, his eyes sparkling and a smirk forming on his lips, "You'd miss me."
I didn't argue this time, instead I simply nodded and pulled his lips back to mine. When Maria cleared her throat and Max reluctantly pulled away from me I resisted the urge to whimper my protest. Instead I turned and looked at a grinning Maria.
"I think you two really need to get a room. It was getting so hot in here for a moment that I thought the fans weren't working!"
I blushed and Max laughed, "Did you get what you wanted Maria?" Max asked, diverting her attention from me.
She nodded and proudly displayed the earrings in her hand. "These will go perfect with the skirt I'm wearing tonight when we go to the club."
I smiled, "You're right. They're gorgeous Maria."
"Thanks. I'm glad you guys dragged me here. I'm having so much fun!" She took my hand, dragging me towards the next stall, "Come on, we still have lots to buy and not enough time!"
I grinned back at Max, whose hand was in mine as he let me drag him the way Maria was dragging me. He returned my smile as we continued our day at the flea market.

"Wow! Liz, you look stunning." Maria announced as she emerged from her bathroom where she'd been changing.
We were now at her house getting ready to go to Harvey's. Max had dropped us off earlier and had gone on home to drop off the stuff he'd gotten from the flea market and to change for tonight.
I smiled and turned to look at her as I smoothed down the front of my dress. I had chosen to wear a red halter top dress with black heels with laces that wrapped around my ankles. I'd swept my hair up and to the right side in an old fashioned do that went well with the dress style. I only wore red lipstick, a bit of mascara, ruby teardrop earrings and a matching ruby bracelet as accessories.
"Thanks, 'Ria. You look gorgeous! That blue really suits you."
She gave me a smile of thanks as she sat on the edge of her bed to put on her shoes. She was wearing a pale blue thigh length skirt, a matching blue satin shirt that she'd tied at the waist, and white sandals. Her hair was left long with the sides pinned back away from her face by a silver clip. She wore pale pink lipstick, light mascara, a thin silver necklace with a blue stone, a silver tennis bracelet, and the pale blue sapphire earrings she'd gotten from the flea market. I thought the pale colors and the silver made her skin glow from the inside out. I secretly hoped Michael would like what he saw.
As I gathered my things together in my bag, we heard the honk of Max's car. I grinned up at Maria, "You ready?"
She nodded as she snatched up her small silver handbag, "Ready, chica. Let's go knock Max's socks off."
I laughed as I shouldered my overnight bag. I'd told my parents I was staying the night with Maria, who had secretly promised to cover for me while I really spent the night with Max. I'd been hesitant to ask her to do this for me, but once again she'd rolled her eyes and said of course she'd do it, what were best friends for, and she expected me to cover for her if it ever came up. I'd wholeheartedly agreed to do it.
We made our way out of her house as Max came around to greet us with a smile. "Wow! I'm gonna be the luckiest guy there, arriving with two very beautiful ladies."
Maria chuckled as Max leaned in to plant a kiss on her cheek before taking my lips in his. "Don't get used to it. I'll let Liz continue to handle you alone. I'm thinking you have enough with just her."
He winked at her as he held the door open and took her hand to help her into the back seat before sliding the seat back for me. He took my hand and helped me in before closing the door and walking around to the drivers side and soon we were on our way.

Once again Maria had the same reaction I had when we'd arrived at Harvey's. She'd also scolded me for allowing her to come overdressed. Max pointed out that if that was true, then we were all overdressed, since he was wearing a pair of black slacks and light blue button down shirt. I was actually amazed to see him dressed like that, knowing he usually wore jeans when he came here, but then, he'd known I was gonna dress up, so he must have decided to do it too.
As we made our way into the club, Maria began to relax again. Max had his arm around the both of us, making Maria feel more secure. He steered us towards one of the round booths along the side of the club and waited for both of us to slide in before sliding in next to me. Maria sat on the other side of me as she scanned the place. It was crowded the way it always was on a Saturday night, but not as smoky as I remembered. The dance floor was packed, as was the bar and the area around the dance floor. The tables and booths that were the farthest away from the dance floor remained empty. It tended to be quieter in these areas, so most of the people liked to hang as close to the music as possible and that was near the bar and dance floor.
Maria's eyes went wide as she noticed the shadowed nooks and crannies I'd noticed my first time there. Her eyes snapped to mine, "Oh my God! Liz! Do you see the shadows moving!"
I chuckled, "It's okay Maria. They're just dancing."
Max coughed behind his hand at my answer, but I squeezed his hand to make him go along with it. He nodded, "Yeah, they're dancing. Don't worry about them."
Maria gawked, "That's called dancing!"
I patted her hand, "Let it go, 'Ria. If you ignore them, they'll ignore you."
She stared at me in disbelief that I could sit there and not be bothered by it as a waitress came up to the booth. "Can I get you guys anything?" she asked.
Max turned to us, "What'll it be ladies?"
I smiled, "The usual." I turned to Maria, "What do you want to drink, 'Ria?"
"I guess I'll have a coke."
I chuckled and turned to Max, "She'll have the usual too."
He winked at me and gestured to the waitress who bent down so that he could whisper the order in her ear. She nodded and left to get our drinks.
I settled back against the booth and leaned into Max's side. He leaned down to whisper into my ear, "Did I tell you that you look gorgeous tonight, beautiful?"
I smiled, "You just did, handsome." I gave his cheek a peck as he grinned his trademark smirk.
Maria rolled her eyes, "You two never quit do you?"
We both turned puzzled eyes towards her as I asked, "What are we doing?"
"Making goo goo eyes at each other. I swear my teeth hurt every time I look at the two of you and the sweetness oozing off of you both."
Max laughed, "Is it that bad?"
"Oh yeah, sometimes I end up with a toothache."
I laughed and playfully swatted her arm as she grinned, "We are not that bad! She's just teasing us, Max."
Maria laughed, "Believe what you want, chica, but my teeth aren't lying."
"Max, bro, sorry I'm late, class ran over and I had to go home and change before coming to meet you guys." Michael announced his presence, as he sauntered up to the table holding a beer in his hand.
Max grinned as he noticed the way Michael was already staring at Maria. "It's okay, we just got here ourselves. Michael, this is Liz's best friend, Maria." He motioned to her as he continued, "Maria, my younger brother, Michael."
Michael smiled as he held his hand out to her, "Pleased to meet you Maria."
Max and I both held back our smiles as we noticed how Maria blushed when Michael took her hand and placed a chaste kiss against her knuckles. "Nice to meet you too, Michael. Liz has told me about you."
"Really?" he raised an eyebrow at me as he slid into the booth next to Maria. "Nothing bad I hope?"
Max and I both laughed at that. "No Michael, I don't have anything bad to say about you." I grinned at Max, "That's your brother's job."
"Hey! What did I say?" Max asked.
Maria chuckled at our antics, "She just told me about how close you and Max are and that you are studying to be a chef."
Michael nodded as the waitress returned with our drinks. As she handed them out, Michael glanced up at Max, "I'll get Maria's." She blushed again as he paid for her drink and continued talking, "Yeah, I'm in culinary school right now. I just barely got out of class about an hour ago."
Maria nodded, "You have class on Saturday?"
He chuckled, "Well no, but my instructor co-owns a catering company and one of our assignments was to have hands on experience while he got things ready for the party his company is catering for tonight. We had to go and help with the cooking and getting the food ready for the company to transport to the party."
"Oh! Wow! It must be great to get hands on experience before you graduate."
Max and I simply sat there and allowed the two of them to talk. We listened to their conversation, amazed that they seemed to be hitting it off with almost no interference from us. Maria was genuinely curious about Michael's skills as a chef and what he was learning as he went through school. He was more than willing to answer her questions and managed to ask a few of his own when she let him.
Max wrapped his arm around my shoulders as he leaned down to whisper into my ear, "Well, that was easy."
I chuckled and turned to whisper back, "Yeah, almost too easy."
We heard Maria sputter and turned to see her making a face at her drink, "Ewww. Max, what is this? I ordered a coke."
He smiled, "It's coke."
I nodded, "Coke with vanilla vodka. It's really good Maria." I gestured to my drink.
Her eyes widened and she leaned in to whisper loud enough for both Max and I to hear, "We're not legal, Liz."
I sighed, "It's okay, 'Ria."
Max nodded, "I've got it covered, but if it bothers you, I can get you a plain coke."
Michael nodded too, "I'll get you a coke, Maria."
She looked between the three of us before looking down at her drink. I knew she realized I was drinking mine and didn't seem to be affected by it. She smiled at Michael, "No, it's okay. This is fine." She lifted the drink to her lips and took another sip. "Um. It's not so bad."

Our night at the club had gone better than Max and I could have ever planned. Maria and Michael had hit it off well. Max and I had left them talking at the table and gone to dance several times during the night. Michael had discovered that Maria liked fruity tasting drinks so he'd ordered those for her while Max continued to order the coke with vanilla vodka for me. I had begun to wonder if the two of them were going to spend the entire night sitting there talking when Michael finally asked Maria to dance to a slow song. Turns out Michael didn't think he could dance, so he only did so to slow songs, at least that is what Max had told me when I'd asked worriedly if he was ever gonna ask her to dance. Maria didn't seem to complain. I saw the look on her face as she had danced with Michael. I'd also seen the smile she wore as she told Max and I that Michael was giving her a ride home and she'd see me at school on Monday.
Now I was sitting on the edge of Max's bed rubbing cream into my legs as Max finished up in the bathroom. He walked into the room and pulled the covers back from the bed before turning the lights off except for the lamp on his night stand. He slid under the covers and watched me finish rubbing the cream into my skin. I smiled at him as I dropped the bottle back into my bag before walking back over to the bed. He held the covers up for me to slide under.
I lay on my side and looked into his eyes, "So, guess we'll be having a double date soon huh?"
He chuckled as he slid his hand down my arm, "Yeah, I guess so."
I leaned in and gave his lips a quick peck before going on, "Hm, I was thinking we could go to that new restaurant on Commerce, but I don't kn..."
Max cut off the rest of my sentence as he grabbed me and pulled me against him, his lips fusing with mine. I chuckled into his mouth.
He growled, "What's so funny?"
"I was wondering how long it was gonna take you to kiss me like that." I murmured against his mouth.
"Tease." he chuckled as his lips made their way down my jaw.
I closed my eyes in pleasure as his hands began lifting my shirt off of me, slowly caressing my skin as he went. "Max," I sighed, as I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him closer to feel his skin against mine.
I allowed him to undress me, then returned the favor by undressing him. He moaned into my neck as I took him into my hands, "God Liz, I need you, beautiful."
"I need you too, Max." I continued to stroke him as his fingers stroked the fire beginning to burn inside of me. It wasn't long before he was reaching into his nightstand for a condom. As he slid into me, I whispered, "Maria and I are going to the clinic this week, I'm going to try the pill."
He stopped moving and lifted his eyes to mine, "Are you sure?"
I nodded and reached up to caress his face, "Yes. I want to do this Max. I want to be able to feel you and I want us to be protected."
He smiled, brushing his lips over my face, "I love you, Liz."
I sighed, taking his lips into mine, effectively ending all conversation as I allowed Max to make love to me for the rest of the night.

Hi all, I'm so sorry for being late this week. I was having guy troubles. LOL. Both my own and a friend of mine's. It's over now and seeing as I am currently having a little trouble sleeping, I figured that I'd write a bit. As a result, I now have two parts to give you. :P

roswell3053- More Michael and Maria here, no double date yet, but I hope to give them some typical Michael and Maria moments eventually.
POM- Glad you liked Maria. I wanted her character to add some lightness to the story, even though I planned on this story being light hearted anyway. Make sense? Liz does sometimes have her head on her shoulders right. LOL.
addicted2roswell-Max and Liz action coming up! Max and Kyle meet soon...very soon...
Em80m- they are all slowly gonna find out, one by one, I think...
VeronicB- Thanks :) I'm really glad you are enjoying this story and don't worry. I wasn't dissing you the last time about making predictions. I think it's so cool that you seem to be literally reading my mind on what I'm gonna write next! 8)
Erina- Glad you liked the last part! Hope I can continue to keep you entertained. :D

Okay, on with the show...

Part 13
Maria was wearing the biggest smile I had ever seen for a bright and early Monday morning. It didn't take much for me to figure out who had put that smile on her face. I walked up to my locker where she was waiting for me and grinned at her.
"I'm guessing you had a good weekend?"
She giggled, "Yeah, it was one of the most fun I've ever had."
"Really? What did you do?"
"Oh, I went to a luncheon that was catered with great Italian food, then I went to the culinary museum, and for dinner I got to eat at this really upscale French restaurant that most people need to get reservations to, months in advance!"
I laughed, "So, Michael was giving you a taste of what it's like to be a chef huh?"
Maria smirked, "And then some."
My eyes went wide, "What! Really? So how was he?"
"Liz!" she gasped, "It wasn't like that! I only meant that we had fun that's all."
I raised an eyebrow, "Oh really? What, you only liked him as a friend then?" At her sheepish look I went on, "Spill, 'Ria."
She giggled, "Okay, so we made out a bit, but that's all." She let out a little sigh. "He was really nice. When he picked me up in the afternoon, he took me to the luncheon his school's class was catering. I basically just sat near the catering tables and watched them work. After the party guests had their fill, the workers got to have whatever was left, so Michael made me a plate. It was scrumptious! Melted in my mouth!"
I laughed, "The Evans brothers sure do how to satisfy our appetites don't they?"
"Oh yeah, and they make our mouths water too." she giggled. As we walked towards our first class she continued, "After he was done with the catering, he took me to the culinary museum that is on the campus of his school. It was really amazing! I mean, you have to admire anyone who meticulously kept family recipes and then handed them down from generation to generation. Who would have guessed how much history is tied up with certain dishes."
I simply chuckled at her enthusiasm as we entered the classroom and sat down in our seats.
"By the time Michael had finished giving me the tour of the museum and talking about all the different things he knew about the things there it was late. So he suggested we go out to dinner. Just when I thought we'd go someplace simple, he takes me to the French restaurant and it was like being royalty I tell you!"
"Royalty?" I asked.
She nodded, "Yeah, we walked in and the maitre d' immediately recognized Michael so we were shown to a table. Michael ordered everything for us and when the drinks and food came, he would explain what everything was and why he'd chosen it." She looked over at me and beamed, "Chica, I don't think I've ever felt that privileged in my life, and that's saying something!"
We both laughed at her statement, but before she could go on, the teacher walked into the room and class began.

It wasn't until lunch that day that Maria was able to tell me more about her day with Michael. After they'd had dinner, he had taken her to his parent's house for a tour. Unlike Max, Michael still lived with his parents since he was going through school. It was there in Michael's bedroom where they had made out.
Listening to her tell me about being with Michael had made me slightly jealous, not because she'd been making out with him, but because she had gotten to see his home. I had been with Max for nearly a month now and I had yet to see where he'd grown up, Maria had only known Michael for a day and had gotten the tour.
I didn't dwell on it for long since Maria was still going on about how much fun she'd had during her time with Michael. She also informed me that he was going to call her that evening and they were planning on going out together on Wednesday, then without pausing for much of a breath, she proceeded to drill me on what I'd done with Max while she'd been busy with Michael.
I told her Max and I had decided to stay in that day. I didn't go into details, such as how long it had actually taken us to get out of bed and why we didn't want to. I also didn't say exactly what we did in the living room other than watching a few movies he'd rented. I simply said we had slept late, ordered Chinese, and spent most of the day watching movies in his living room. She'd known there was more, but after trying unsuccessfully to get anything else out of me, she simply spent the rest of the day teasing me about how much sweetness Max and I had probably generated during the day.

That night, Max and I talked on the phone after I had gotten off of work. He told me what Michael had said about his day with Maria and I told him about what Maria had said. We were both laughing at how the two of them seemed to be on cloud nine with each other. Max said he'd never seen Michael so enthusiastic about anything other than culinary school. I agreed by telling him that Maria had been talking nonstop from the time I'd gotten to school until I'd finally left that afternoon. She couldn't stop going on about how much fun she'd had. At that point, Max had started laughing again and said the last time he ever remembered Michael being fun was when he was still a teenager in high school. Once Michael started getting serious about cooking, it was like there wasn't enough time for him to be serious.
"So, I guess we'll be having the double date soon then?" I asked.
Max laughed, "Yeah, Michael's already asked me if we wanted to do something with the two of them this weekend."
I giggled, "We should, so I can have my chance at teasing Maria!"
"Teasing her about what?"
"You know how she's been going on and on about you and I being so sweet we make her teeth hurt? Well, now the shoe's gonna be on the other foot."
Once more I heard Max's husky laugh over the phone.

On Tuesday, Max came to have dinner with me during my break at work. We spent it in the back room eating our burgers and fries and discussing going over to Isabel and Alex's place on Saturday after I got off of work in the evening. Alex was going to be out of town again starting on Thursday and Isabel had called and asked if I'd like to keep her company while Alex was away. I asked her if it would be all right to invite Max over too and she was thrilled since it would give her a chance to see him again and catch up on old times. Max was also looking forward to seeing Isabel again especially since she was now married, which was still such a surprise to him. After my break was over, he left and that night I called him once I'd gotten home.

Tuesday was the only day I had the chance to spend time with Max. The rest of the week was hectic for me because I had several exams and a paper due on Thursday that I'd spent most of the week working on at the last minute. If I wasn't studying for the exams or working on the paper, I was either at school or at work. So Max had to deal with brief phone calls from me even though we did talk every night. By Thursday I could hear the pleading note in his voice that he was trying to keep out.
"Come on beautiful, let me pick you up for school in the morning, then afterwards we can come back to my place."
"I can't Max. I have to stay with Serena tomorrow night, I promised mom I would since she and dad are hosting that wedding reception at the restaurant."
"Well, then I'll come over and help you baby sit."
I laughed, "Ha ha. You and I both know we won't be paying any attention to my little sister if we were here together."
He sighed, "I knew I should have taken advantage of the time I had with you on Tuesday."
"Aw, what's the matter, Max? Feeling a little frustrated?"
"You have no idea," he muttered.
I giggled at that as an idea began to form in my mind. "Max," I breathed into the phone, "I'm going to get ready for bed now."
"Liz, it's early, come on, you can talk to me for a little longer."
"Hmmm, well I could, but I think our conversation would be better if I was more comfortable." I paused for a moment before going on, "Why don't you get comfortable too Max."
There was a sudden silence on the other end of the phone as my words sank in. When he spoke, his voice was lower and huskier, "What are you wearing right now beautiful?"
"Clothes." I chuckled as I heard his exasperated sigh before going on, "But right now, I'm standing in front of the mirror and slowly lifting my shirt over my head."
"And now?" he whispered.
"Now I'm standing in my white skirt and lavender lace bra." I could hear his breath hitch as I began to remove my skirt. "There's only one button to the skirt and now the zipper is sliding down. I'm letting it fall to the floor on it's own."
"Tell me you're wearing lace panties."
I grinned, "White lace panties."
Max groaned, "God I wish I were there right now."
"Hmmm, you're here in spirit baby. I'm laying down on the bed now. Will you lay down with me, Max?"
I could hear some rustling and the sound of a door closing through the phone before Max spoke, "I'm laying down beautiful."
"Good. How do you want me Max?"
He sighed, "I want you to ride me baby."
"Hm, will you remove my panties first? I'm lifting my hips so you can slide them down slowly. I can feel your fingers trailing over the skin of my legs and your breath tickling me as you trail kisses after the panties."
"You have such soft skin, beautiful. So warm and you smell so good. I'm turning us over, so you can straddle me, I want to watch you remove your bra while I spread your legs and run my hands over your thighs."
I closed my eyes as I listened to Max telling me what he wanted me to do and what he was doing to me. Just hearing his voice and picturing us together while I let my hands wander over my own body was making me quiver with need. "I'm straddling your waist. I can feel your fingers kneading my thighs as I slowly rub myself against your stomach. Mmm, that feels so good Max."
"Yes, baby. You feel so good. I love the way you rub against me. I can feel how wet you are. Can you feel how hard I am for you?"
"Um hmmm," I murmured as I removed the rest of my clothes and allowed my free hand to roam over my body. I imagined that it was Max's hand that was touching me as he continued to speak.
"I love running my hands up your body, to cup your breasts in my hands and tease your nipples with my thumbs. I love the way they turn to hard nubs as I tease them."
I groaned as I used my own hand on my breasts, kneading them the way Max would have. "The more you tease them, the wetter I get for you baby. I'm ready for you Max."
"I'm ready too baby. Slide back baby, take me for a ride."
"I can feel your hips between my thighs as I slide back and lift slightly." I let out a little sigh as I slid my finger inside of me before continuing, "Oh Max, you feel so good inside of me. So thick and hard. I'm moving my hips faster, in time with the way your hands are kneading my breasts."
"Hmmm, that's it baby. Faster." He paused, breathing hard, "I love the way you arch your back and press your breasts into my hands more."
As I arched off the bed, I panted into the phone, "Yes, oh yes! And your mouth feels soooo good when you take my breast into it. Mmmm....I love the way you swirl your tongue around my nipples. It just makes me ride you harder." I had added another finger inside of me and was now pumping them faster, matching the heavy breathing that Max and I were both doing in sync with each other.
"Liz baby, I'm getting close." Max moaned.
"I know, I'm close too Max."
"Harder Liz. I'll help with my hands trailing back to your hips. I'm lifting my own hips as I pull you down on to me."
"Oh yes, Max. Yes, I'm coming baby!" I gasped out loud as I felt my orgasm wash over me. I could hear Max grunting on the other end for a few moments before I heard him cry out, "Lizzzz...."
I smiled into the phone as my body began to come down from its high. "Feeling better, Max?"
He sighed, "A little." I could still hear a wistful note in his voice.
"I'm sorry. I thought maybe I could help you out a bit."
"You did. You know you did. At least I'll be dreaming of you tonight."
"Aw, you are too sweet, Max."
"It's the truth Liz."
"I know." I sighed, "I'll call you tomorrow Max. Goodnight, baby."
"Night Liz. I love you."
I smiled as I whispered, "Sweet dreams, handsome."

As promised....here's the next part. Max and Kyle meet!

begonia9508- So true! The guy I'm currently dating is a great cook and I know I'm always in danger of gaining weight when he's around. Thanks, I was kinda worried about writing the phone sex. LOL. Didn't think I could pull it off that well.
POM-hee hee. I know, that's why I tried to make it sound like she was trying to keep it down, since she was aware her family was home. Yeah, all will be explained why Max hasn't taken Liz to his childhood home yet, plus, there's the fact that Max and his dad try to stay away from each other as much as possible. :?

Okay, once more, on with the show...

Part 14
Friday was an ordinary day for me and Maria at school. I was amazed that things had been relatively quiet on Kyle's end all week and hoped that he'd finally gotten the hint and would leave me alone from now on. Maria had plenty of stories to tell me about Michael as usual and talked my ears to death about the things she and Michael talked about during their phone conversations. She had told me about their date on Wednesday.
Michael had taken her out to a movie and then treated her to a home cooked meal at his house. She told me in great detail exactly what Michael had made for dinner as she had sat at the kitchen counter and watched him make it. They'd eaten dinner at the island in the kitchen, then gone to his room for a while before he had to take her home.
That had been the only day they had gotten to see each other, but like Max and I, they talked to each other on the phone every night.
"So, I guess it's safe to say you and Michael are dating now?"
Maria looked up from her lunch and stared at me for a moment before she shrugged, "I don't know. I mean, he hasn't asked me if I want to date him or if I want to be his girlfriend, but we talk to each other every day. And he wants to go out again this weekend."
I nodded, "I'm sure he thinks you guys are dating. At least that's what I get from what Max tells me."
Her eyes widened, "Max tells you what Michael says about me?" At my nod she went on, "So, what does he say about me?"
I chuckled as she began giving me her puppy dog look, "He says pretty much the same things you tell me about him. How much fun he has when he's with you. How you listen to him when he talks about his passion for cooking, and how he likes that you seem to enjoy yourself when your out with him. Max says that when he talks about you he's just as enthusiastic as you get when you tell me about him."
She was blushing, "Really? So he really likes me?"
I giggled, "Yeah, I think he more than likes you."

That evening, after Maria and I had finally managed to make it to the local clinic to put ourselves on birth control pills, I stayed at home with Serena since both of my parents were at the restaurant for the private wedding reception that had been booked there. Sometimes my parents would ask if I'd stay with Serena since I was old enough to stay with her rather than getting a baby sitter for her. I really didn't mind doing that since we get along fine. It's not like Kevin. If my parents asked me to baby sit him, I'd probably try to drown him in the tub or something. He'd get on my last nerve within the first thirty minutes of being with him.
Serena and I had ordered two pizzas, one pepperoni for me and one Hawaiian for her. We'd sat in the living room eating the pizza and watching some of her most recent DVDs of Japanese anime that she was addicted to lately. After I had put the leftover pizza in the fridge, we decided to play a few games of Scrabble since she was up on me by four games since the last time we had played. I was the only one in my old group who had ever cared about learning new things. And I had aced the SAT the summer before, unlike many of my peers. Maria had managed to pass the SAT, which had been a big surprise to her, but she knew she just wasn't brainy material. Still, despite acing my SATs, Serena still kicked my ass plenty of times during Scrabble, and I was often bouncing off the walls if I managed to get even one game ahead of her.
By the time I had managed to get to two games behind Serena who was currently beating me on the game we were playing, we heard the front door open and close. I frowned as I looked at the clock wondering why my parents were back since it was still a bit early for the reception to have ended. As I got up to go into the hallway, Kevin appeared at the living room door.
He grinned at me, "Hey sis! Didn't know you'd be home tonight, thought you'd be out with your new friends." He said the last word as if it left a bad taste in his mouth.
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever! You knew mom and dad had the wedding reception to handle tonight. So I'm hanging with Serena tonight."
"Aw, how sweet. Thought you didn't care about anything except yourself anymore." said a voice I'd really hoped not to have to hear any time soon.
Kyle sauntered into the living room as if he owned the place as I glared daggers at Kevin. "What is wrong with you? You know the rules! No one is allowed here when our parents aren't home unless we had their permission before hand."
Kevin shrugged, "No biggie, I'm just stopping to get a few things before we head out to meet with everyone else."
Kyle sat down on the couch and leaned over Serena, "Whatcha doing 'Rena?"
I growled, "Get away from my sister." I turned back to Kevin, "Go get whatever you need to get and leave. And take this jerk with you!"
Kyle held up his hands, "Hey, I'm not doing anything."
I glared at him, "Not yet anyway. But I'd like to keep it that way. Kevin, go!"
"All right, I'm going! Come on Kyle you can come upstairs with me."

I continued to stand with my arms crossed and glaring until they were both gone from my sight. Muttering under my breath, I began to sit down across from Serena when my phone rang. I picked it up as I recognized the ring tone. I flashed a grin at Serena, "Do you mind if we take a break?"
Serena giggled, "It's Max isn't it?" As I smiled wider she nodded, "Yeah, I'm gonna go use the restroom and grab some more pizza, want anything?"
I shook my head, "I'm good."
As she left the room, I answered my phone, "Hey handsome."
Max chuckled, "Hi beautiful, miss me?"
I sighed, "Yeah, I really, really do."
Max didn't miss the note in my voice, "What's wrong, Liz?"
"It's nothing I can't handle."
"Liz?"
I rolled my eyes, "Kevin showed up."
"Your brother?"
"Yeah, only he wasn't alone."
"Oh, so he's trying to sneak a date into the house when the 'rents aren't home."
"No," I growled, "He brought Kyle."
"What?" I stiffened as I heard the hiss in Max's voice.
"I'm handling it, Max. Kevin is just getting a few things and then they are leaving."
"I can be over there in five minutes."
"Max, it's okay really. Serena and I are playing Scrabble and when my parents get home, I'll give you a call okay?"
Before I could hear Max's answer, I felt two arms wrap around my waist and a voice whisper into my ear, "Want to play a different kind of scrabble with me?"
I whirled out of Kyle's arms, "Don't you ever touch me again, Kyle!" I yelled as I heard Max say, "I'm coming over now!"
"No, Max wait!" But he had already hung up. I growled and slammed my phone onto the couch as I glared at Kyle, "Get out of my house right now!"
"Aw, come on, Liz. I could make it worth your while." He said as he stepped towards me.
It took a moment for me to realize that he'd closed the doors to the living room, effectively keeping everyone else out and he was currently blocking the way. As he continued to advance, I took a step back, "Go away, Kyle. When are you going to get it through your head that I don't want anything to do with you."
"When are you going to realize that you and I were meant to be together? Do you really think I'd let you go? You know everyone wants us to be together. I'm good for you."
"I don't care what everyone else wants. I don't want you!"
"What? Aren't you tired of playing with the trash yet? Come on Liz, I'll forgive you for lowering your standards and we'll go to the prom together like we'd planned."
"Not a chance in hell."
He narrowed his eyes, "Thought you were already there." Then he lunged for me. I saw it coming, and before he could get a firm hold of me, I was ducking his arms and running for the door.
Just as I reached the door, he caught me and turned me in his arms. "Where do you think you're going, Liz?" He asked as he lowered his face to mine.
I turned my head, "Let go of me or I'll scream!"
He chuckled, "I'd like to see you try."
As I opened my mouth to scream, he grabbed my face in his hand and jerked it to his mouth. My scream was muffled against his lips as I began wrestling with him. As he tried to stuff his tongue into my mouth, I bit it. He let go of me and roared, "You bitch! You bit me!"
I glared at him, "You deserved it, jerk." I yanked the door open just as Serena came walking up, pizza in hand.
She gave me a worried look, "Is everything okay, sis?"
I glared at Kyle, "Yeah, he was just leaving." I muttered as Kevin bounded down the stairs.
"Hey Kyle, you ready man?"
At Kyle's nod, they headed for the front door. I turned to Serena, "Go wait in the living room okay 'Rena?"

As Serena went to wait in the living room, I followed the guys to the door to make sure they left and to use the deadbolt once they were out.
They had taken a couple of steps outside when the Testarossa came skidding to a halt in the driveway. Max leaped out of the car, his eyes roaming over me as if making sure I was unharmed.
I tensed as I saw Kevin and Kyle glance at each other before both of them came to a halt and folded their arms over their chests. Cursing both of them silently, I stalked towards them, intending to steer Max away from them.
"Well, well. Look what the garbage truck forgot to pick up today, Kevin."
Max stopped walking and looked at Kyle with fire in his eyes. "I know you weren't talking to me kid!" Max growled.
I stepped around Kyle and placed my hands against Max's chest. "Don't Max. They were just leaving. Let them go."
Max didn't budge, he and Kyle continued to glare at each other as I hissed at Kevin, "Take your friend and get out of here Kev!" I turned back to Max, "Come on inside and meet my sister Max."
Kevin gasped, "What! You got on my case for breaking the rules and now you're inviting that into our house!"
I glared at him, "If you don't remove yourself and your friend from these premises in the next few seconds I am calling mom and dad!"
Kevin laughed, "Tell and I'll just tell them about your little secret."
I lifted my chin, "Go ahead, try. Trust me little brother, you will severely regret it."
Kyle laughed, "Better be careful Kev, I think she means to sic her hoodlum on you."
I felt Max tense, but as he took another step towards Kyle, Serena came to the door, "Liz? Mom's on the phone, she wants to talk to you."
At the sight of my sister, Kyle motioned to Kevin, "Come on, Kev, we should get going, the group's waiting for us."
Max and I stood watching as the two got into Kevin's car and drove off. I finally breathed a sigh of relief and took Max's hand in mine, "Come on, I want you to meet my sister, Serena."

"God! Max, harder baby!" I yelled, as Max lifted me higher against the wall and pounded into me, his mouth sucking on my breast.
After I had introduced Max to Serena, the two of them had sat on the couch and talked while I had talked to mom on the phone. I had informed her that Kevin had broken the rules by bringing someone into the house who had not been invited and when I had told them to leave, his friend had threatened me. I reassured her that I was okay, that I had been on the phone with a friend of mine when it had happened and my friend had rushed over to help me. I told her he was still there but I was gonna send him home as soon as I got off the phone with her since I just wanted to make sure the other guys were really gone. My mother understood and said she'd talk to Kevin when they got home. I had left out both Kyle's and Max's names, letting mom focus on the fact that her son had broken the rules of the house rather than on any thing else.
As soon as I'd gotten off the phone, I had walked Max to the door, gave him a long kiss of thanks and told him I'd call him after my parents got home. Once everyone was in bed, I'd called Max and told him I was going over there right away. I was still so wound up from what had happened and I needed to talk to Max about it. However, as soon as he'd opened the door and I'd taken one look of him barefoot and wearing nothing more than a pair of faded blue jeans and a silver necklace, all rational thought fled.
The moment the door was closed, my lips were fused with his and the next thing I knew, he was taking me right there against the wall.

I threw my head back, arching my body to give Max a better angle as my legs tightened around his waist. I could feel his breath against my chest as his grunts were muffled against my breasts. I dug my nails into the back of his shoulders and heard him growl.
Max used his hands on my ass to bounce me on his cock as he tossed his head back and gritted his teeth, "Yes! So tight baby! That's it, beautiful," he panted, "Take all of me, Liz."
I used my arms on his shoulders as leverage to help my body ride Max. I closed my eyes in pleasure as I felt him shift slightly to hit my sensitive spot. As my walls tightened even more around him, he groaned and pressed me into the wall once more.
I held on tight to his body, using my muscles to tease his cock and could actually feel him swelling even more inside of me. I leaned my head down, pressing my lips against his shoulder. As I continued to kiss and nibble on his skin, Max was relentlessly driving himself harder and deeper. Once more he shifted inside me and I screamed against his shoulder as a strong orgasm took hold of me.
I bit into his shoulder which caused Max to throw his head back and yell my name as I felt him explode inside of me. I clutched him to me as I continued to ride out the storm of our love making. Soon Max was leaning into me, pushing me back into the wall as we stood there trying to catch our breath. Slowly I slid my legs down to the floor, feeling them shaking slightly.
A few moments later, Max's head snapped up and I saw his wide eyes, "Liz! We didn't use anything."
I stiffened as I realized we'd both gotten caught up in the heat of the moment. As Max slid out of me I leaned back against the wall, closed my eyes, and wrapped my arms around myself. I couldn't believe I'd been that bothered by what had happened earlier to forget about protecting myself.
As I felt my lips begin to tremble and the prickling begin behind my eyelids, Max whispered, "Liz?"
I shook my head in denial.
"Beautiful, look at me." Max pleaded as his hand stroked my cheek.
I opened my eyes and looked up into his beautiful hazel ones, "It's going to be okay, Liz. Whatever happens we'll deal with it together okay?"
A tear slid down my cheek, "I'm sorry, Max. I didn't mean for this to happen. I came here to talk to you about what happened, but then I saw you and..."
He smiled as he placed a finger over my lips to silence me, "It's okay. I know." He wiped my tears with his thumbs before lifting me up in his arms and carrying me to his room. He tucked us both under the covers and wrapped his body around mine. "I want you to know I'm not going anywhere beautiful. Whatever happens, I'll be here for you. You know I will be." When I didn't say anything he asked, "Tell me you believe me."
I nodded, "I believe you Max."
"Good." He kissed my forehead, "Now, what did you want to talk to me about?"
I sighed, "You took a big risk coming over to the house Max. And almost getting into a fight with Kyle," I pressed my hand against his chest, over his heart, "That's not exactly how I want to introduce you to my father."
Max gritted his teeth, "He was going to force himself on you Liz. How could I have not gone to help you."
"I could have handled it Max, I knew he wouldn't try anything in front of Serena, so I was attempting to get to where she was."
"He had you alone. I know he did. And I'm willing to bet he and Kevin planned it that way!"
I had the same suspicion as Max did. Kevin had known my parents would be working at the restaurant and that I had volunteered to stay with Serena. He'd acted like he hadn't known, but I knew he had. Still, I thought I could have dealt with it on my own, without risking Max's chance to start on good terms with my dad.
Max tilted my chin, "Liz?" As I opened my eyes, he said, "What kind of man would I be if I didn't go and defend your honor? Did you really think I would do nothing when someone was threatening my girlfriend?"
I gave him a small smile, "I know, Max." I leaned in and kissed his lips, "Thank you, for trying to protect me."
He closed his eyes and laid his forehead against mine, "Did he do anything to you?" he whispered.
"Nothing that I couldn't handle." The slight tension in my shoulders betrayed me.
"Tell me," He pleaded.
I knew I couldn't hold it back, "He tried to kiss me." I shuddered and Max tightened his arms around me, "I realized he'd closed the doors to the living room, to keep anyone out and when he lunged at me, I tried to run. I reached the door just as he caught up with me. He tried to force me to kiss him and I bit his tongue. It made him let go of me so that I could get out of the room into the hallway where Serena was."
"He was after more than just a kiss, Liz."
"I know." My voice came out all shaky, so I swallowed before going on, "I knew it when he mentioned wanting to play Scrabble with me and making it worth my while. And then he went on to say that we'd be good for each other, everyone wants us to be together, and he'd never give me up."
Max growled, "I'm going to kill him."
I sighed, "No Max. I don't think it would be wise to do anything to him. Let's just forget about it and move on."
He looked into my eyes, "I don't trust him Liz. And your brother. Kyle is obviously using Kevin to get access to you and he's letting him! This won't be the last time."
I nodded, "I know, but I won't put myself anywhere alone with Kyle. And I told mom about Kevin breaking the rules, so she's going to talk to him and I know he won't be bringing Kyle into the house again without any of us knowing."
Max closed his eyes and buried his face in my hair, "I'd never be able to live with myself if anything happened to you and I wasn't there to protect you."
"I'll be okay, Max."
"I hope so beautiful. My sanity depends on you, so does my heart."
I smiled as his lips brushed over mine, "You always have a way with words, Max."
He chuckled softly, "I love you beautiful."
I sighed as I curled up in his arms, resting my head against his chest. As I lay there listening to the steady beat of his heart, I began to drift off to sleep, my last thoughts were of how comforting and safe I always felt when I was in Max's arms.

begonia- Kevin has his reasons and yes, Kyle is really dangerous in this. I'm still having a hard time writing a beloved character as a really, bad guy. :(
Em- It's not over yet.
Vero- He does doesn't he? Can you believe I actually began to 'hate' Kevin before I started to 'flesh' the character out on paper? LOL. And great minds do think alike don't they?
roswell- Hee hee, so I guess it's safe to assume a slap on the wrist won't be enough to punish Kevin with? Max will meet the family, one by one, and everyone might not fall for his 'charms'.
Erina- It's safe to say Kyle doesn't have a brain, .
kittens- Well....maybe....
L-J-L- As usual, very good question! I really love all those questions! And I promise to try to answer all of them before I end the story. Some much sooner than others, but I will try.
POM- Me too! Yep, Kevin is definitely Kyle's lackey. He's also upset with Liz for giving up her own popularity statis. She's an embarrassment to him.
Oh yeah! There is something to be said about a man who's barefoot and wearing nothing but a pair of well worn jeans.... And when I say nothing else, I mean nothing else....Yum!
Omega- Max unleashed....soon.

Well, I see many of you noticed their little 'mistake' during the heat of the moment. Don't worry, pregnancy just doesn't fit into my story at this point, so rest easy about that at least. However, there's lots more to worry about...

On that note, on with the show...

Part 15
Max woke me up with kisses just before dawn on Saturday morning so I could sneak back into my house. As I let myself in through the kitchen door, I thought about how I couldn't wait for Max to meet my dad so that we could finally begin to date openly. Max and I had decided we'd go out Sunday evening to have dinner at Horizons with Michael and Maria. We'd really be killing two birds with one stone, a double date with his brother and my best friend, plus meeting my dad while he was at the restaurant.
Once I was in my room, I got undressed and crawled into bed to sleep for a few more hours before I had to get ready for work. I had the early shift and then Max and I were going to Isabel's to hang out with her for the night.
Four hours later I was walking into the store to begin my shift. Tess who was technically the opener, looked up from where she was opening the cash register with a huge grin on her face.
I arched an eyebrow as I asked, "Is there something I should know?"
She giggled, "Why would you think that?"
I shrugged, "No reason." I walked up to the counter and leaned towards her, "Had some hot action last night huh?"
She giggled again, "And then some!"
My eyes went wide, "Really? Do tell!"
"He proposed," she said with a dreamy sigh.
"No shit!" I squealed as I reached across the counter and hugged her tightly.
Tess had been seriously dating her high school sweetheart for the last five years. She'd met Zan her freshman year of high school, but they hadn't started dating until they were sophomores. The moment both had graduated, she'd moved in with him. Zan was currently in his third year of college, aiming for a career in the music industry. Currently, he was working as the assistant to a booking agent for one of the hottest clubs in town. Tess had told me that Zan wanted to one day own his own recording studio and club because he loved helping others jump start their careers. Even I knew Zan had a talent for being able to recognize fresh, raw talent and he knew how to build it up into something spectacular. That's why he had the job as assistant at that particular club. His boss had recognized the talent Zan had and knew it would benefit everyone to take Zan under his wing and give him the opening he needed to succeed.
Tess beamed as she showed me the engagement ring he had given her, "I was totally surprised! You know I honestly didn't think we'd start thinking of marriage until after he'd graduated and got the job he really wants, but he said he wanted to get engaged now." She giggled, "He said he already felt like we were married and he just couldn't wait any longer to put the rock on my finger."
I laughed, "He must have had it planned for a while then?"
"Oh yeah. Turns out he'd been having this ring designed for the last year and he'd been steadily paying for it. It was finally finished and paid for last week, but he wanted things to be just right before he proposed."
"Were they?" I asked.
"Perfect." She breathed, as I stared at the rock on her finger. It wasn't huge or gaudy. And I could see that it had definitely been designed by Zan.
He and Tess were what I'd always liked to call a happy rock and roll couple. They were so laid back and cool, yet both were hard workers and serious about their crafts. I knew Tess was madly in love with Zan even though she didn't show it much when we were together. However, the moment Zan appeared anywhere near her, she turned into a giddy, lovestruck girl. Of course, Zan was exactly like her. When I'd first met him, I'd thought he was intimidating. Tall, dark, with lots of tattoos and piercings, and a permanent scowl on his face; it was easy to see why most people steered clear of him. Yet he'd look at Tess and suddenly he was like this big, soft teddy bear. I was always smiling when the two were together. Somehow, they always looked great together.
I gave her another hug, "It's beautiful. Congratulations."
She returned my hug with a thanks. As we got the store ready for opening, she continued to tell me about how he'd proposed and that they both agreed to wait until he'd graduated to have the wedding. However, they were already beginning to plan it and I could see that not only was Tess excited about planning her wedding, but apparently Zan was totally into it too. Yep, they were such a rock and roll couple. I knew their wedding would be extravagant, in that cool, hip kind of way.

After work, I returned home to change and grab my overnight bag before heading over to Max's apartment. I was spending that night and the next with Isabel since Alex would be away until Tuesday morning. Once I got to Max's place, I waited for him to get off the phone with Michael, who was getting pointers from Max on how to broach the subject of going steady with Maria. As Max and I walked to our cars, I couldn't help but grin as Max told me how nervous Michael was about asking Maria since he wasn't sure how she really felt about him. Max had assured him that Maria liked him because I always told Max what Maria told me about her feelings for Michael. Still, Michael was not used to dating girls. Where Max had been the charmer, Michael was the elusive artist.
We arrived at the apartment complex that Isabel and Alex lived in, parking our cars next to each other in the lot adjacent to the reserved spots for the residents. Max carried my bag as we walked hand in hand up to the apartment. I knocked on the door and we waited for Isabel to answer.
A few moments later, the door opened revealing a smiling Isabel. She immediately saw Max standing next to me and launched herself into his arms. "Max! God, it's so good to see you again!"
He laughed as he hugged her tightly, "It's good to see you too, Izzy."
She stepped back to scrunch her nose at him, "You still haven't forgotten that name, huh?"
"No more than you've forgotten mine," He hinted.
Isabel laughed and held the door open for the two of us to enter.
As I took the bag from Max so that I could put it in the hall closet, I asked, "What name?"
Max groaned, "It's not worth mentioning."
Isabel gave him a smirk, "Not worth mentioning! Oh please! You know it was the cutest nickname ever."
As Max and I made ourselves comfortable on the couch, he rolled his eyes, "It was not!"
I looked at Isabel, "What was his nickname?"
Max mock glared at Isabel in warning, "Isabel!"
She stuck out her tongue before turning to me with a smile, "He certainly looks like a Maxiepoo when you're with him."
I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes. Max just sat there with a scowl. Once I could breathe again I looked at him, "Maxiepoo! How did you get that one?"
Max sighed, "It was given to me by someone I'd really wish I'd never met and unfortunately it stuck."
Isabel chuckled and proceeded to fill me in, "There was this girl. She was one of his groupies I guess. Anyway, she followed Max everywhere he went, like his biggest fan. And she'd literally sigh his name when she'd address him, but when Max tried to politely tell her that he wasn't interested, she just got more obsessive and began showing up at the studio with freshly prepared lunches and other gifts. That's when she started calling him that and someone at the studio heard and it spread like wildfire."
Max nodded, "Yeah. She became my very own stalker. I swear she was following me everywhere. My job, my home, even to the grocery store! And all because I made the mistake of going out on a date with her."
I laughed, "Oh, so she thought you were serious."
Max shrugged, "I don't know why. I never led her on. We went on one date. Dinner and a movie. I treated her like I treated all my dates. I swear I was the perfect gentleman and I only gave her a kiss on the cheek at the end of the date. Nothing else, not even a promise to call her again. So, why she thought we were suddenly on the road to being a couple is something I've never been able to figure out."
"Did she know who you were?" I asked.
Isabel frowned, "She knew he was a model. That's how she met him. Her sister was one of the assistant make-up artists for one of his shoots and she'd tagged along." She looked to Max as she continued, "But I don't think she knew who you really were."
Max shook his head, "I didn't tell her anything. You know I never said anything to anyone I hardly knew. She never hinted if she knew anything either, so I don't think she did."
"Hmmm." I murmured, "Wonder why she was stalking you then?"
Isabel rolled her eyes, "Because he's Max." At the puzzled looks Max and I gave her, she went on, "Oh come on! This is Max! Hot model, charming playboy! The ladies loved him."
Max gave me a sheepish grin, "I wasn't that bad, I swear!"
I chuckled and slid my arm around his shoulders, "I know. You didn't do it on purpose." I kissed his cheek as I added, "You just can't help it if you are just naturally a girl magnet."
Max actually blushed at that, which made Isabel and I both chuckle.

We spent the rest of the evening talking about their lives when they were both modeling and the things they'd done as friends. I enjoyed listening to Max and Isabel as they reminisced about their times together and I knew Max enjoyed visiting with Isabel again. We ordered takeout from the burger joint down the street and while Max went to retrieve it, Isabel and I got the sofa bed ready for me.
When Max returned, we ate our dinner and watched television for a bit before we started talking again. Max asked Isabel about what she'd been up to since he'd last seen her and told her how surprised he was that she'd actually gotten married. He was certain she would have made modeling a career. Isabel agreed that at that time she would have, but she'd met Alex, and she had realized that he meant much more to her than a modeling career ever could.
Max had smiled at that before looking at me and saying, "I think I know what you mean."
We talked some more about how Max and I had met and let her know that we planned on telling my family about Max. Isabel supported our decision to introduce Max to the family, but she agreed that it was better to just let them get to know Max as a person before we came out and told them who he really was. Even she agreed that the moment my father knew the truth, he'd have us married in less than a heartbeat.
"So, when do you plan on introducing him to the rest of the family?" she asked.
"Tomorrow." I replied. "Max and I are going on a double date with his brother Michael and my friend, Maria to Horizons. We figured we could introduce him to Max while we ate there. Dad's always on his best behavior when he's at the restaurant and I know he's at his calmest then too. It seems like the easiest way to let him meet Max, along with my friends."
Isabel nodded, "Sounds good. Let's hope it works."
I nodded as Max sighed, "Yeah. I'm hoping he'll think I'm decent enough to hang with his daughter."
We all laughed at that.
Isabel stood up, "Well, I'm beat. I'm going to get some sleep." She leaned over and gave Max a peck on his cheek. "It was good to see you again, Max. I know I'll be seeing a lot more again." At Max's nod, she turned and gave me a hug, "You guys can stay up here as long as you like, just be sure to lock the door when he leaves okay, hon?"
I smiled, "Okay. Thanks. Night Isabel."
She waved as she disappeared into her room, "Night, Liz. Goodnight Max."
"Night Izzy." Max replied.
Max and I reclined on the sofa bed and watched television with the volume on low so as not to disturb Isabel's sleep. When I began to nod off against his chest, Max gently nudged me and told me he should get going. I sighed and mumbled that I didn't want him to leave. He chuckled and said we'd see each other the following day. I walked him to the door, gave him a goodnight kiss, and told him I'd call him as soon as I got up so he could come over and we could spend the day together before we had to go to dinner with Michael and Maria.
Max graced me with a bright smile, "It's a plan." He kissed the tip of my nose before pulling away and walking down the stairs. "Sleep good, baby. Love you."
"Night Max," I sighed as I closed the door and locked it for the night.

Isabel and I were up early the next day. At least for me, it was early, especially since it was a Sunday. We made brunch together in her kitchen and shared a little girl talk about the men in our lives. I tried not to let the fact that we were discussing my older brother's loving ways bother me as we giggled about things we liked about our men. After brunch, we cleaned up and I took a shower before calling Max.
By the time Isabel had taken her shower and dressed, Max had arrived to take us both shopping. This time we went to a mall. Of course, it was a mall on the other side of the city, one where we all knew we wouldn't run into anyone who knew us. As we shopped, Max and I held hands and giggled amongst ourselves. Isabel couldn't help teasing Max by calling him Maxiepoo since she pointed out that he was acting so cute with me. Eventually Max gave up and allowed her to call him that especially since she didn't mind when he called her Izzy. The three of us enjoyed our day shopping together.
As Max and I dropped Isabel off at the apartment, we asked if she wanted to go to dinner with us later. She declined, saying she didn't want to interfere, but Max and I felt bad about leaving her home alone while the rest of us went out, especially since he and I were going to spend the rest of the afternoon together. We finally got her to agree and told her we'd be back in a few hours so that I could get ready and we'd all go to Horizon's together.

Max chuckled as I sat back against the couch with a huff, arms crossed over my chest. He turned to look at me with an innocent look, "Don't you like the movie?"
"You don't even like the movie, Max." I growled.
After dropping Isabel off, Max and I had debated on what we'd do for the afternoon before finally deciding to rent a couple of movies. We had argued over what to rent while at the store and called a truce by renting one suspenseful thriller for him and an action movie for me. We'd decided on watching the thriller first, but thirty minutes into it, we'd both realized how boring it was. We had been lying on the couch on our sides, my back to his chest. He had one arm draped over my waist and as the movie had progressed, his hand had started to wander. I had let him touch me, enjoying the feel of his fingers against my skin. His hand had moved under my shirt, over my stomach in circular motions, then cupping my breasts through my bra. As his hand reached under my bra to tease my nipples, I'd closed my eyes since the movie had long since lost my interest.
I rolled over onto my back to allow him better access. Max had kept his eyes on the movie, feigning interest, yet his hand didn't stop its wandering. Soon, he'd slipped his hand into my jeans and past my panties, stroking my folds. I'd turned my head to kiss his neck, moaning against his skin as he stroked me. Slowly, I'd turned towards him and began to kiss his neck and undo his shirt. When I'd tried to kiss him, he'd pulled away as if to say he wanted to watch the movie. I decided there was an even better way to get his attention and had proceeded to undo his jeans. He was hard when my hand closed around him and I had stroked him a few times while continuing to nip and suck on the skin of his neck.
Suddenly, he had shifted away from me, his hand disappearing from between my legs before he rolled onto his stomach and tucked both arms under his head. That was when I had sat up with a huff. I knew he was teasing me, he really wasn't interested in the movie. He just wanted to see what I'd do.
With a soft laugh, he sat up next to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me against him. He nuzzled my neck, "Don't be mad, baby. I thought you wanted to watch movies."
I rolled my eyes, "It's a boring movie, Max. I wanted to watch the other one, but noooo.....this one was your idea."
He pulled back, arching an eyebrow, "So, you want to watch the other one then." Before I could even respond to that, he let go of me and started to get up.
I grabbed his arm, "No!"
"I'm going to put the other one in."
"I don't want to watch the other one!"
"I thought you just said..."
"Maaaaxxxx!" I pouted.
With a smirk, Max bent down and pulled me up until I was flush with him. His mouth covered mine in a hungry kiss, devouring me instantly. I didn't even have the chance to figure out what he was doing until I felt his fingers pushing past my clothes to stroke me once more. With a moan, I lifted one leg and wrapped it around his leg as his fingers slipped inside of me. One arm around my waist, Max bent me backwards and fastened his mouth to my breast through my shirt. Shamelessly, I rode his fingers, sliding one hand into his hair and the other into his jeans to grip him in my fist.
He growled as I pumped him a few times and just when I thought I was going to explode, his fingers disappeared again. My agitated whimper quickly turned into a gasp of surprise as Max turned me around and pulled me back against him. I sighed as his hands began to roam over my body and slowly he undressed me. Closing my eyes, I leaned back against him tilting my head back to kiss his chin. He took my lips in his and deepened the kiss as his fingers kneaded my breasts. I pushed my hips back, rubbing my behind against his erection through his jeans.
I knew Max had reached his limit when he pushed me away and proceeded to yank his clothes off of himself. Smiling, I removed my own clothes and leaned back into the couch watching as he tossed his clothes aside, retrieved a condom, and then knelt on the couch besides me. He pulled me up to my knees and kissed my lips as he rolled the condom on. I slid my hands up his chest, grazing his nipples with my nails making him groan into my mouth. As I slid my arms around his shoulders, he pulled away and looked into my eyes.
"Beautiful, what you do to me." he breathed.
"I know Max." I tried to lean back, gently tugging him to me, "Come here, baby. Make love to me."
He pulled me back up to him, gave me a quick, hard kiss, then whispered in my ear, "Turn around, beautiful."
Slowly, I let go of him and turned around. Max moved up behind me and took my wrists in his hands. With his chest pushing against my back, he leaned me forward until my hands rested on the arm of the couch. I closed my eyes as his hands brushed up my arms and down my sides. He held my hips steady and pushed against me from behind. I gasped as I felt him fill me completely. In that position, he was thicker, stretching my walls farther than I ever thought possible.
Max's movements were slow at first, as if he were savoring the feel of my walls surrounding him. I could feel his breath against my neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist. With each thrust, he began to pick up speed, arms tightening too. I tossed my head back against his shoulder and pushed back against him, needing him deeper.
I moaned in frustration, "Baby, please, I need more."
Max didn't disappoint. He bent me forward a little more and slid one hand between my legs to caress my nub. I dug my fingers into the couch as he began to pound harder into me, in time to the stoke of his fingers.
"Yes! Oh Max, that's it baby!"
He groaned, "Fuck, baby! So tight!"
"Max! I'm close...hurry!"
He pressed his face into my neck as he growled, "Come for me, beautiful, scream for me."
"Oh God, Maaaaaax!" I screamed as my orgasm finally washed over me.
Max continued to pound into me as my body shuttered around his, his fingers never stopped stroking me. I arched back into him, moaning my pleasure and clenching my walls around his thickness.
With one forceful thrust Max let go, "Shit! Yes!" he yelled. I held him tight, milking him as I felt him throbbing inside of me. I felt him shudder, just before he collapsed against my back.
We remained like that until we both managed to get our breath back. As Max slid out of me, I turned and collapsed against the couch, a satisfied smile on my face. He chuckled as he rested besides me, his fingers entwined with mine. "Note to self, rent more boring movies."
I laughed at his joke as he got up to go dispose of the condom.
Max soon returned to scoop me up and haul me to his bedroom where we cuddled up for the remainder of the afternoon.

Okay, now on with the show...

Part 16
"Are you sure no one is going to mind me coming along?" asked Isabel for the fifth time as Max drove us to Horizons where we were meeting Michael and Maria for dinner.
I turned slightly in my seat to look at her. "Seriously, Isabel. I already asked Michael and Maria and they both are fine with it. We all agree that the more the merrier. Plus everyone thinks that this way, dad won't be suspicious that I'm on a date and get all bent out of shape before he has a chance to warm up to Max."
She nodded, "Right. You're right."
I glanced at Max out of the corner of my eye since he had been silent for most of the ride. After Max and I had taken a quick shower together at his place, we had gone back to Isabel's apartment so that I could change and we could pick up Isabel for the dinner. Once we'd gotten into the car and were on our way, he had seemed to be concentrating on driving, rather than on the conversation Isabel and I were having.
I reached out and placed my hand over his hand that was on the stick shift. He glanced at me with a smile as I gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. I knew he was nervous, he wouldn't say it, but I knew. We all remained silent for the last few moments as Max drove into the restaurant parking lot and found a spot.
Michael and Maria were waiting for us near the entrance as Max and I walked hand in hand towards them, with Isabel in the lead.
Maria grinned, "Hi Isabel! Long time no see."
Isabel laughed, "I know! It's good to see you again! How have you been?"
"Oh I seem to be doing much better these days now that my best friend and I have gotten closer."
I laughed at that, "Oh please! We both know it's not me that's making you happy."
As all of us chuckled at that, Maria placed her hand on Michael's arm, "Isabel, I'd like you to meet Michael, Max's brother. Michael, this is Isabel, Liz's sister-in-law."
Michael held out his hand to Isabel, "Nice to meet you, Isabel."
"It's nice to finally meet you Michael," returned Isabel as she shook his hand, "I've heard a lot about you from these two," with a sweep of her hand she indicated Max and I.
Michael grinned, "It's all good, I hope?"
"Oh yeah!" she chuckled, "Max couldn't be prouder."
Max rolled his eyes at that, "Okay, let's not get into that."
"Come on," I said, as I slid my hand into the crook of Max's arm, "Why don't we all go inside and have some dinner?"
We all filed into the restaurant and when the hostess saw Isabel and I she gave us a huge smile and immediately led us to a round table big enough for the five of us. Our table was near one of the large windows that gave us a view of the gardens housed in square set into the middle of the restaurant. My father had built the restaurant to surround a beautiful garden in honor of my mother and her love of flowers. It wasn't any wonder that when my mother wasn't busy with the kids and whatever activities they were tied up in that she was always at the restaurant. She was the main caretaker of that garden and everyone could see how much she loved it because it always thrived in her care.
I sat in the chair facing away from the window with Max next to me and Isabel next to him. Maria sat on the other side of me with Michael next to her. The hostess gave us our menus, told us our waiter would be Jerry, then left us to look over our menus.
"So, Liz," asked Michael, "What do you recommend?"
"Depends on what you are in the mood for, really. Although I have to say that if it's Frank who's the chef right now, then you might want to go for any of the seafood dishes. He's the only chef I like that makes seafood dishes edible here."
Michael laughed, "Is that so? Well, I guess I'll try one of those then."
I nodded and turned to Max with a smile, "Any idea what you want?"
He gave me a wink, "I would rather go directly to dessert, but I guess that'll have to wait."
I rolled my eyes and playfully swatted his arm, "That's my line!" I said as we both giggled.
Isabel looked up from her menu to look at us, "Are you guys flirting again, Maxiepoo?"
Max hissed, "Izzy please! Not here!" Too late, because Michael and Maria were already laughing.
"Maxiepoo?" Maria gasped.
Michael nodded, "Yeah, some creepy stalker chick who had the hots for Max back when he was modeling used to call him that."
Isabel nodded, "It kind of stuck."
Max rolled his eyes and looked at me with 'please help me' expression on his face. I chuckled, "I think it's better than being called 'girlfriend' don't you think?"
Maria snickered, "Uh uh, nope. I'm not gonna stop calling him that when it fits his fashion sense perfectly," she looked over at Max and said, "but you have to admit, girlfriend, that you like being called Maxiepoo, especially when Liz is saying it."
Max blushed at that as I grinned and slid my hand into his under the table. He looked up at me with a smile and relented, "Okay, you got me there. Liz can call me that any time she wants too."
A chorus of 'Awwws' sounded around the table before we all fell into laughter again.

It wasn't until we were already eating our dinner when my dad finally made it out to our table. I had found out that Frank wasn't on duty tonight, so Michael settled for the Southwest Chicken dinner. Maria went for a California chicken burger and fries, Isabel got one of the Mexican dinners, and Max got an Italian seafood dinner. I settled for one of my favorite Italian pasta dinners.
Dad came to the table wearing a smile that said business was good. "Isabel," he greeted, as he placed a kiss against her cheek before walking over to me and placing one on my cheek, "Liz. Hi Maria, it's good to see you too."
"Hi Mr. Parker."
I looked up at my father, "Dad, this is Max and his brother Michael."
My father shook both of their hands in greeting before making his way to the empty seat on the opposite table from me. "So, you and your friends decided to have dinner here tonight?"
I nodded, "Yeah, I had been meaning to bring them by here for a while."
Maria nodded, "I have missed coming here for a while, plus, I wanted Michael to see what kind of restaurant this was."
"Really?" he looked at Michael, "you've never been here before?"
"No sir. I mean, I've heard of this restaurant plenty of times. Especially in class, but I've never had the chance to come this way."
"In class?"
Isabel grinned, "Michael's studying to be a chef."
"Is that so?" He glanced over at me before looking back at Michael, "I'm sorry, but I thought you were class mates with Liz and Maria."
Michael shook his head, "No sir, I'm in my third year of culinary school."
"Well, that's really good to hear, son. So, is there any particular route you are taking in school?"
Michael shrugged, "I'm leaning towards working in restaurants that specialize in Italian foods mostly. I think that's where my strength lies, but I can also make great seafood and continental cuisines according to some of my instructors. So, I'm kind of keeping my options open at this point."
My father graced him with a smile, "Thought maybe you'd open your own restaurant or something."
"Not yet no. I would rather get my feet wet so to speak before I try to go out on my own."
"Now that is a smart move!" he nodded before asking, "So, what do you think of the food so far?"
Michael chuckled, "Well, I've only had the Southwest Chicken dinner so far, but it's good. I like the way the chicken is seasoned, so that you can get all of the flavor and it's not overpowering at all, and the chicken is actually tender, which is really hard for most restaurants it seems."
My father laughed at that statement.
Michael went on, "However, I can think of several ways to add more flavor to the side dishes and make them more interesting."
"Really? Would you mind sharing some ideas with me sometime? I've really been wanting to find ways to do that, but even my head chef seems to be stumped."
"Sure, I could come by here when we both have some time."
"That would be great, Michael." He said as he shook Michael's hand in thanks. As he sat back in his chair, he turned to Max, "So, I guess you are not in any of Liz and Maria's classes either?"
"No sir, I'm not."
"Max graduated from high school with a few business college courses under his belt. Sort of like I had wanted to do, remember dad?"
My father grinned at me as he nodded, "I remember, but I also remember telling you that you shouldn't pressure yourself like that and wait until you actually got into college before you started taking those courses."
Max shrugged, "The courses weren't that hard. I mean, they weren't easy either, but I really enjoyed them while I took them. And from what I hear, Liz would have been superb at them."
"Well, I'm sure she would have been," he sighed, "but there are other things or rather, there were other things that were more important at the time."
Max gave me a questioning glance, "Really? Like what, if you don't mind my asking."
My father shook his head, "Not at all. See, at the time, Liz was serious with a young man named Kyle."
At the mention of his name, I could see the tenseness in Max's shoulders, so without letting anyone know, I took Max's hand into mine under the table.
"Kyle has a lot going for him too. His father owns one of the best security firms here in the city and Kyle has already said that he intends to follow his father in that business. He'll follow in the footsteps of his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather." My father paused to shake his head, "That's got to be one hell of a business if it's managed to last through three generations! I was hoping my restaurant would do the same, but so far none of my kids seem interested in it." He looked over at Isabel and grinned, "Granted, I couldn't be prouder of Alex, my eldest for being a lawyer, but I think every parent wants to see their dream handed to one of their children."
Max nodded, "I understand. My father wants me to follow in his footsteps too."
"Really? So, he's in business too?"
"Yes, like you, he's the first and wanted one of his sons to take it over when he retires."
"So, since Michael is going to be a chef, I guess that leaves you?"
"Yeah. Hence the reason why I took some business courses."
"And now?"
Max sighed, "Now I'm taking a break from those classes. Although I intend to take them up again in a year or two."
"So, you are going to follow in your father's footsteps?"
"Yes. My father and I have talked about it and he knows that I intend to do it someday."
My father smiled, "Well, that's good news for your father then." He sighed and looked at me, "Wish I could say the same."
I rolled my eyes, "Maybe Kevin will grow up and decide to be a responsible human being or maybe Serena will surprise us all and tell us she wants to work in the restaurant business. You never know dad, she is smarter than all of us were when we were her age." I shrugged, "Besides, I am going into business, so I could use what I learn to help out on the business end of the restaurant."
My dad shook his head, "I don't know Liz, things could change between now and then."
As I let out an exasperated sigh, Isabel asked, "What do you think is gonna happen, Jeff?"
"Well, it's not so much what I think is gonna happen, but what I want to happen."
I narrowed my eyes at my father, "We've already talked about this dad!"
Max turned to look at me for a moment before he asked, "Talked about what?"
My father sighed as he looked at me, "Liz and Kyle were going to get married when they graduated from high school. I was really looking forward to that, you know, knowing that your daughter is going to be taken well care of." I rolled my eyes again as he went on, "Kyle was the best thing that happened to Liz and we all had such high hopes for them. I still don't understand why they broke up when things always seemed to be going well between the two of them."
Maria growled, "You mean besides the fact that he was a possessive jerk!"
"Maria!" Michael whispered.
My father chuckled, "I know you think that Maria, but Kyle was just trying to look out for Liz. He may have come across as possessive, but he was just trying to make sure Liz wasn't getting into trouble."
I glared at my father, "Is that what he told you?"
My father returned my glare, "Kevin backed him up, Liz. No one knew where you were that night," he glanced at Maria, "not even you knew Maria. So, can you blame Kyle for being upset about not knowing where she was? I was upset too when I found out no one knew where my daughter was!"
"I told you where I was and nothing happened to me!"
"That's not the point! You had no reason to be angry at Kyle when he had every reason to be angry at you!"
"Stop taking his side!" I yelled as Max placed his hand on my arm.
He turned to look at my father and spoke in a calm voice, "Mr. Parker, I don't know what Kyle or Kevin told you, but from what Liz has told us, Kyle wasn't just being an overprotective boyfriend."
"He was being an overprotective fiance." stated my father.
"He was never my fiance, dad!"
Max gestured to me to calm down before going on, "It seems Kyle was treating Liz like something he owned, not as a person. And then later after they had broken up, he began harassing her and trying to pressure into doing things she didn't want to do with him."
My father shook his head, "Kyle wouldn't do that. I know he can be aggressive at times, but that is the way his family is, they are in the security business after all. But he has always been wonderful to Liz. I've never seen him mistreat her through out all of the years I've known him."
Max nodded, "While that may be true, people aren't always what they seem Mr. Parker."
"Maybe some people aren't, but I've known the Valentis all my life. I know Kyle."
Before I had the chance to say anything else, one of the hostesses came up to our table and whispered something to my father. He nodded and got up, "I'm sorry I'm going to have to cut this short, seems we have a crisis in the parking lot." He nodded to Max and held out his hand, "It was nice to meet you Max, good luck with school. Michael," he said as he shook Michael's hand next with a grin, "looking forward to seeing you here again. Maybe we could even let you come in some time to experiment with the menu, you would get compensated of course."
"Sure Mr. Parker, I'll come by soon."
He nodded before he said good bye to the rest of us and followed the hostess through the restaurant.
I sat there glaring at my father's retreating back as everyone else sat in silence. All eyes were trained on me, except for Michael, who was completely oblivious and happily eating the rest of his dinner.
Isabel sighed, "I'm sorry, Liz."
Maria growled, "I can't believe he is taking the side of that possessive, womanizing jerk!"
"I can." I growled, "You heard what he said. He only sees dollar signs, and the fact that the Valentis are a very well established family blinds him to everything else."
"That is still no reason to take his word over his own daughter's." mumbled Maria.
"Sure it is," said Michael through a mouthful of food, "if he's anything like our father, it's the reputation that comes with all that money and status that counts. And Kyle's family seems to have it in spades."
Maria pinned him with a glacial glare, "Just whose side are you on, Spaceboy?"
Michael blinked, "Spaceboy? And I'm on Max's side, he's family."
"Well it certainly didn't sound like it!"
Michael sighed, "Maria, I was just stating the facts because I can see it from his point of view." He looked at Max for confirmation, "I know Max can see that also."
With a nod, Max agreed, "He's right Maria. He's just like my father. It's all about who you rub elbows with." He looked at me with a sad smile, "It seems our fathers would get along famously."
I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, well they are certainly welcome to each other!"

Dinner had been pretty much ruined at that point. None of us except Michael was in the mood to finish dinner. Max was just concerned about me since I was upset with my father. Isabel wasn't interested in eating because the rest of us weren't. Maria wasn't eating because she was still upset with the fact that she believed Michael was taking my father's side. When Michael asked what everyone was having for dessert, she threw down her napkin and said she was ready to go home.
While Max and Isabel handled the check, I followed Maria and Michael outside. Michael was still trying to reason with a fuming Maria when my father came up to me where I was waiting for Max and Isabel.
"So, these are the new friends you have been hanging out with now that you are no longer with Kyle."
I sighed, "Those others were never my friends dad, only Maria was ever my real friend."
"Still, I don't really like the idea of you hanging out with boys who are much older than you."
"Oh please, they are Isabel's age, and you don't mind me hanging out with her or Alex."
"That's different! Isabel and Alex are family. What do we know about these boys?"
"Isabel knows Max. They used to work together and they have been friends for years."
"Worked together?" His eyes narrowed, "Are you saying he was a model?"
I sighed, "Key word, dad, was! He's going into business remember?"
My father gave a sneer, "Is that why he stopped going to school? To model? What does that say about how serious he is to follow in his father's footsteps. That must mean he isn't quite as trustworthy as one would think. Now his brother on the other hand. He's got a good head on his shoulders. At least he knows what he wants and is taking steps to achieve it."
I glared at him, "Max has a great head on his shoulders. He's good with business! I've already seen that and if you would stop judging people by the dollar signs they have, maybe you'd see it too! Not everyone who has money is good dad! You refuse to see that!"
With a frown, my father retorted, "You would be wise not to take that tone with me young lady! If Isabel wasn't going to be alone tonight I would tell you to go straight home and confine yourself to your bedroom until you have realized how out of line you are! As it is, consider yourself grounded for the week!"
"Fine!" I yelled as I stomped my way to where Max's car was. I stood there with my arms crossed, glaring into the distance not caring that Michael and Maria had already left.

The car ride back to Isabel's apartment was made in silence. Once there, Max said he was going to go on home and he'd call me later. I nodded and gave him a quick kiss, not even noticing that he hadn't lingered or told me that he loved me.
It wasn't until Isabel and I were inside that she got me out of my silent fuming. "Liz?" When I stopped and turned to look at her, she continued, "I'm sorry that your dad doesn't approve of Max."
I sighed, "He just needs to get to know him. I just don't know how that's gonna happen if he insists on judging people by their money."
Isabel shook her head, "I'm not sure if at this point Max's money will matter."
"What do you mean?"
She gave me a sympathetic look, "I heard what he said to you outside the restaurant. He knows Max was a model. To him, that means Max will never be serious about working. He'll always seem uncommitted and flaky to Jeff."
My eyes went wide, "You heard what he said."
She nodded and answered my unspoken question, "Max heard too."
I closed my eyes. "Oh shit."
"Why do you think he left like he did Liz? I saw his face after your father said those things. I tried to reassure him that no matter what Jeff said, you would still see him, but he said that he didn't think Jeff was going to stop trying to get you back with Kyle. Max thinks Jeff will never allow you to be with anyone unless he approves of it."
I looked up at Isabel, "Why didn't he say anything?"
She shrugged, "I guess he thought you realized that too, especially since you didn't argue anymore with him after he grounded you."
"Oh, Max." I sighed and turned to look at her, "I should go and talk to him."
Isabel nodded as she retrieved my bag from the closet, "Go on, take as long as you need. I'll cover for you tonight, okay?"
I smiled and gave her a hug, "Thanks Isabel, you are the best!"
"Good luck," she called as I climbed into my car and began making my way to Max's apartment.

Max answered the door after I had knocked for the third time. As I looked up into his eyes, I saw the hurt that I'd missed when he'd said good bye earlier.
He held the door open for me to enter, asking, "Aren't you and Isabel supposed to be enjoying your little sleep over right now?"
I waited until he had shut the door to drop my bag and wrap my arms around his waist, pulling him into a hug. As I lay my head against his chest I whispered, "I'm sorry that you heard that. Isabel told me." I lifted my head to look up at him, "Max, you have to know that no matter what my dad says, I'm not going back to Kyle. I want to be with you, not him."
He sighed, "You may not have a choice, Liz."
"I will always have a choice Max! And I choose you! My father can't make me go with Kyle!" I shook my head, "He can't force me too! I'll just run away if I have to!"
"Liz!"
I shrugged as I took his hands into mine and led him to the couch. "I'm graduating in a few months Max. I'll be on my own then and my father won't be able to tell me what to do."
"What if he won't let you leave? From what I heard, he doesn't seem thrilled about you even going to college, he wants you married to Kyle by graduation."
I sighed as I wrapped my arms around him once more, "I'll just have to do it my way then. I want to go to college and if he won't support me, then I'll do it by myself. It's my life, Max. He can't run it for me and even if he tries, I'll be out of the house by then, there's nothing he can do about it."
Max hugged me back, his fingers threading through my hair. "I'll help you Liz. If you need help going through school, I'll help you any way I can."
I smiled as I lifted my face to his, "Thanks, Max." I took his lips in mine, reassuring him with the kiss that I still wanted him.
He sighed as he leaned back into the couch, "So, what's with the bag?"
I giggled, "Isabel said I could take as long as I needed to talk to you. She'll cover for me tonight."
"Oh, so she thought it would take all night for you to talk to me, huh?" he grinned.
"Well, that's what she said, but if it doesn't take all night, we can pretend it did." I replied with a grin of my own.
"Okay, so what do we do when the talking is done?"
"Oh, I can think of several things we could do to pass the time."
"Like?" he asked.
"Like, we could continue this conversation in your bed." I hinted as I slid my hands over his chest.
His grin bloomed into a full smile that finally reached his eyes as he scooped me up into his arms, "Now that's the best thing I've heard all night."
I giggled as he slung me over his shoulder, scooped up my bag with one hand, and ran into the bedroom where he closed the door with his foot, effectively shutting us in for the night.

Late again, :( But I got a part! I did. And I have a good excuse as to why I didn't post on time....well two reasons. 1) Got Happily, Even After on Weds and have watched it every day since. 2) Got Shooting Livien today when I got home from work and well, Jason comes first before anything else. LOL. Yeah, I'm hopeless. :P Okay, so, lot's more jerks in this part. LOL. You've been warned.

roswell- Hopefully my Liz will remain level headed and always know what she wants. Jeff isn't gonna learn any time soon.
Vero- Yes Jeff is a jerk. The road Max and Liz have to get past Jeff isn't going to be an easy one. :(
begonia- maybe someday...
Em-Jeff thinks he can make Liz do anything he wants.
POM- LOL. Jeff's in a time warp for sure! Yes, and they will continue to be jerks for some time...

Now, on with the show...

Part 17
"Mmm...this is good, Max." I sighed as he fed me some more of the vanilla ice cream and left over apple pie that he'd warmed up for dessert for us that night. After he'd carried me into his bedroom and had his way with me a few times, we'd both realized we were hungry again since we hadn't even finished dinner earlier. So Max volunteered to go whip us up something quickly as long as I promised not to leave the bed while he was gone.
He grinned as he dripped some ice cream and pie onto my stomach and proceeded to lap it up from there. "Mmmm, not as good as it tastes when it's on you."
I chuckled, "You are so bad, Max."
He pouted, "But Liz, you are so good."
With a wicked grin, I took the bowl from him, flipped him onto his back and dripped some onto his chest. "Yum," I said in between licks, "You're right, Max, this does taste better."
He moaned as I dripped some into his navel and lapped it up with my tongue, "Liz..."
I sighed, "I think I just changed my favorite dessert." I looked up at him and smiled, "Wonder what the rest of you tastes like."
He hissed as the cool dessert hit his erection as I generously dripped it onto him. His hiss turned into a long, low groan as I began to lick all of the sweet sticky mess from his cock. As I closed my eyes in delight, Max curled his fingers into my hair, tightening his grip when I closed my mouth over his cock and began sucking in earnest.
It didn't take long before Max was lifting his hips, pumping his cock in my mouth as I fisted what I couldn't fit into my mouth with my hand. I could feel his hands beginning to tug at my hair.
"Liz...baby...come here..." he said in between gulps of air.
"Mm ummm," I murmurred in denial as I continued to suck on him. As I slid my free hand down to gently stroke his sac, I tightened my mouth around him and sucked harder. Max couldn't resist that and suddenly came with a shout as I continued to devour him and whatever was left of the dessert.
After licking him clean, I sat up and licked my lips, "Yep," I said as I smacked my lips together, "I've definitely found my new favorite dessert."
He gave me his famous smirk as he lay there trying to get his breathing back. "Well, I guess I won't mind if you want to have some of that dessert again."
I laughed and lay down next to him, snuggling into his side and slinging my arm over his chest. He pulled me closer to him, wrapping one arm around me while placing the leftover bowl on the nightstand.

Slowly I came awake to the feel of sunlight warming my cheek and arm. Opening my eyes, I blinked the sleep from them as I took in the light filtering in through the curtains of the balcony doors. In the next instant, I became aware of Max's chest gently rising and falling beneath my cheek. I smiled to myself as I tightened my arm around his waist and thought how good it was to wake up in his arms.
Trying not to wake him, I lifted my head from his chest to look up at him. His head was turned towards me as one arm was slung over my hip and the other was against his side. The way his hair was haphazardly laying over his cheek and forehead combined with those ridiculously long eyelashes most women would kill for, made him look incredibly innocent to me. I smiled as I continued to drink him in with my eyes and thought about the light conversation we'd had before we had fallen asleep.

"So, Serena thinks I'm cool, huh?" Max asked after I'd told him that so far Isabel and Serena were the two from my family that had been charmed by him..
I chuckled, "Stop Max! I can hear your ego inflating again!"
"It is not!"
"It is too!"
"Is not!"
I rolled my eyes, then glanced at him as he wore the usual smirk. Suddenly I widened my eyes and exclaimed, "Oh my God!"
Max frowned, "What?"
I leaned closer to him and stared at the side of his face, "That's a lovely silver strand you have there Max."
I fell into a fit of laughter as Max pushed away from me, and scrambled up to look in the mirror behind the headboard. His eyes narrowed at me in the mirror when he realized what I'd just done. "Liz! You are so going down for that!" he growled.
I was still rolling on the bed, laughing so hard my sides hurt, "And your ego isn't inflated, is it?"
He growled again and pounced.
I squealed as he pinned me down and proceeded to tickle my sides. As tears of laughter rolled down my face, I told him I gave up, but the moment he let go of me, I pushed him down and returned the favor. We spent the next few minutes laughing, tickling, and finally ending with a pillow fight before we were both breathless.
When we had finally settled down again, we continued talking and I told Max more about Serena, Alex, and my mother. Despite the bad introduction with my father, Max was still interested in meeting both my mother and older brother. We had finally fallen asleep, trading stories about our childhoods with our siblings.

Max shifted slightly in his sleep and I could feel his fingers tightening around my hip, as if he were trying to lock me to his side. I lowered my eyes and let them trace his jawline, neck, and collar bone. Shifting my body slightly, so I could feast my eyes on more of him, I devoured his chest and abs. Licking my lips, I moved even farther away from him and brushed my fingers against his hip. I loved those hip lines, especially on him. Before I'd met Max, no one could have told me that a man's hip lines were sexy. I knew better now, those lines, along with a distinctive collarbone and broad shoulders definitely did a number on me.
As my fingers traced the lines of his hip, I heard him release a soft sigh. I looked up at his face to see that he was still asleep. I smiled at the fact that he seemed to react to my touch even when he wasn't awake. I glanced at the clock to see how much time I had before I had to get ready for school even as wicked thoughts fluttered through my mind.
Once more I moved away from him and sat up on my knees. Leaning over, I placed my fingers lightly against his jaw and began to brush butterfly strokes over his skin. I went from his jaw, down his neck and over his shoulder. From the corner of his shoulder I moved back to his collar bone, leaning in closer, I brushed my lips over the skin my fingers had just traced, then sucked gently.
Max moaned and shifted once more as I continued to trail fingers and lips down his chest. Just before I reached his nipple, I felt his fingers running through my hair. I knew he was awake now, but I didn't stop what I was doing. I flicked my tongue over his nipple before sucking it into my mouth and gently nibbling on it. He moaned louder and mumbled my name. I trailed my mouth to his other nipple and repeated the process as my fingers moved farther south.
Sliding my body over his, I slid down him and pressed kisses along his ribs and abs as my hand closed around his now hard cock. I began to slowly pump him and trailed my mouth down to suck and lick those hip lines I had been drooling over moments ago.
His hands tightened in my hair as he groaned, "Beautiful, what you do to me!"
I continued to pleasure him and feast on his skin until I could feel him beginning to throb in my hand. I knew he was close by then, but I wanted more. Sliding up his body, I took his lips into mine, giving him a long, wet kiss until we were both breathless. He stared up at me as I moved over him, my breasts at his eye level. I leaned over to reach into his nightstand for a condom and Max wrapped an arm around my waist, lifted his head, and began sucking on my breast. I closed my eyes in bliss as my fingers found and retrieved a condom.
I sat up and saw the pout he wore at being denied his feast. Smiling, I slid down to his thighs and rolled the condom on him before immediately impaling myself on him. He groaned in satisfaction as his hands gripped my hips to help me ride him. I leaned over him, my hands on the pillow besides his head and my hair creating a curtain around us. His hands slid to my behind, cupping me and pulling me closer to him. Once more I bent over him and offered him my breasts. He greedily took the offer and began sucking on a nipple once more. The more he sucked, the harder I rode him until the sounds of moans and sighs of pleasure filled the air.
Max's hands gripped my hips once more as I sat up and wrapped my hands around his wrists. Using my knees as added leverage, I began bouncing on him, his hips lifting to push farther inside of me. It became to much for me to take as I felt my walls beginning to flutter.
Throwing my head back, I screamed, "Oh yes, Max!" as my orgasm thundered through my body.
It was more than enough to send Max over the edge too as I heard him gasp, "Fuck! Beautiful!"
It was a few more moments before I finally stopped moving and collapsed against his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tight. I felt him kiss the top of my head as he whispered, "You could spoil me like this you know?"
I chuckled, "Mmmm, I like waking up like this too."
Not long after that, Max and I finally got out of bed and he made me breakfast while I showered and got ready for school. We sat and ate bacon and eggs together as I told him what my work schedule for the week was.
He walked me to my car after breakfast, and tossed my bag into my trunk when I'd opened it. Before I got into my car, he pulled me into his arms for another breathless kiss before leaning his forehead against mine, "call me when you get home okay?"
I nodded.
He helped me in and leaned in to peck my cheek, "I love you, beautiful. Have a good Monday at school."
I grinned, "Bye Max."

My grin lasted until lunch time when my two favorite people in the world finally caught up with me. I was waiting for Maria under our usual tree when Kyle and Kevin came up to me. This time, it was just the two of them. I looked up and scowled at them.
"What do you two want now?"
Kevin shook his head, "Liz, Liz, my dear sister you just never learn do you?"
"What are you talking about?"
He laughed, "Did you really think you could get me into trouble? Like mom and dad would actually think I'd do something bad."
I narrowed my eyes, "You did! You allowed someone into the house when you knew the rules!"
He laughed once more, "So? It was Kyle. Why in the world would they mind if Kyle was there or not."
My eyes went wide, "Are you telling me they forgave you!"
This time it was Kyle who laughed, "Really, Liz! They know me. Why would they forbid Kevin from allowing me into the house? Your parents love me."
I growled, "You threatened me Kyle!"
"No I didn't, I was just trying to make you understand that we belong together. Even your parents think so. They'd never prevent me from seeing you."
I glared at him, "Just wait until I tell them what you tried to do to me!"
Kevin rolled his eyes, "He didn't do anything wrong. You on the other hand, invited someone who wasn't welcome into the house. What do you think they'll say when they find out it was Max who was there? Especially since dad isn't too keen on him."
"Dad doesn't know him!"
"Oh yes he does. I heard him talking to mom about the visit you and your friends took to the restaurant yesterday. Dad was furious that you are associating with much older men and that one of them is a flighty, dead beat who modeled for money." He laughed, "He had a few choice words about what he thinks a male model is."
Kyle grinned, "It seems daddy dear was trying to convince your mother to talk to you about forgiving me and going to prom with me. Kevin here says he's dead set on a June wedding. So, what do you say we ditch the graduation ceremony and drive to Vegas, huh? We can celebrate both graduation and the wedding all at once."
Kevin nodded, "Yeah, that's a great idea, Kyle."
"Over my dead body!" I screamed, "God don't you ever give up? When is it going to sink into that mush you call a brain!" I glared at Kevin, "And you! Wipe that grin off your face! I'm going home and telling mom and dad that it was Kyle you let in and exactly what he did. See if they let you out of your room anytime soon!"
Kevin laughed, "They won't believe a word you say. They already forgave me. I only got grounded for the rest of the weekend. And only because they wanted me to know that I have to tell them next time when Kyle is coming over."
I glared at him, "They did not!"
"Yep." Kevin laughed, "And from what I heard, you have a very long week ahead of you. Dad wasn't happy with your choice of friends at all."
"Whatever!" I growled before stomping off with their laughter following behind me.

I wasted no time once school was over to rush on home. Still angry from the confrontation with Kevin and Kyle, I barged into my father's study and tossed my book bag on the floor.
Glaring at my father I protested, "How could you let him get away with it? Kevin broke the rules and you didn't even punish him for it."
My father looked up from his desk, "He didn't break the rules, Liz. Kyle is free to come and go as he pleases, he's practically family after all."
"He is not family! He came into the house and threatened me dad! Don't you get it?"
"He wouldn't do that Liz. Kyle cares a great deal about you. It's unbecoming of you to spread lies like that."
I gritted my teeth, "I'm not lying. Serena can even back me up."
He sighed, "Your sister is too young to understand anything Liz."
"But he practically tried to rape me! What is wrong with you!"
"Kyle wouldn't..."
"Stop defending him! I'm your daughter! You're supposed to believe me!" I yelled, interrupting him.
"That is enough!" My father yelled back. "I have had it with this attitude of yours! I told you that you needed to change that tone! You are grounded young lady! For one week! Until you wake up next Monday morning for school you will confine yourself to your room unless you are in class or working. No hanging out with your friends before or after school, no extracurricular activities, no visiting or staying with Isabel, no television, and no phone calls! Do I make myself clear?"
"Crystal," I growled as I grabbed my bag up and stomped out of the study.
"Leave your cell on the kitchen counter before you leave Liz, or you get another week!"
I yanked my phone out of my bag, walked to the kitchen and tossed it on the counter before going to my room. As I entered, I noticed that my father had already taken out all the things that he'd grounded me from using. My stereo, television, and phone were all missing. Rolling my eyes I went about unpacking my bag, then sat down to do some homework before heading to work.

It turned out to be the longest week of my life. I don't think I'd ever studied as much as I did that week. Confined to my room with absolutely nothing to do, I just worked on my homework, studied, and finished a couple of projects way ahead of time. I was only allowed to attend school and to go to work and to make matters worse, I was deprived of my car. I had to ride with Kevin to school and home and my mother drove me to work and picked me up. I wanted to kill Kevin every time I got into the car with him since he never hesitated to rub it in that no one would ever believe me about Kyle being a bad guy.
I had tried to talk to mom about it, but she too insisted that Kyle was a wonderful young man and she didn't understand what had happened to make me become this angry adolescent. She told me that she really hoped I'd change my mind about going to the prom with Kyle and that he was so understanding since he said he'd wait for me to get over whatever was wrong with me and marry me like he had originally intended. When I had insisted that I wouldn't marry Kyle even if he was the last insect on earth, my mother told me to watch my mouth and the conversation had ended right there. For the rest of the week, I rode in silence with her.
Max came to my work Monday during my break when I hadn't called him like he'd asked. I told him everything that had happened at school and then later at home. I saw the emotions that went through his face as I told him everything. Anger at Kyle and Kevin. Sorrow over my dad not believing me and how he viewed Max. He knew he wouldn't be able to see me unless I was working, so he came every day to see me. We both knew we wouldn't see each other on Thursday or Sunday since those were the two days I was off. Every day that he came, he brought something for me to snack on and we would disappear into the back room to be alone.

By Friday I was climbing the walls. My parents were still refusing to believe me and I had heard them discussing plans to talk to Kyle and his dad about a June wedding. I couldn't believe the nerve of them and vented my frustration to Maria at lunch on Friday.
"Can you believe this? My parents are trying to have me wedded to Kyle by June! June! My father doesn't even want me to go to college anymore! How can they be so blind! How can they not see what a jerk Kyle is?"
Maria sighed, "I dunno girlfriend. Maybe I could talk to them."
I rolled my eyes, "They won't believe you Maria. Kevin has brainwashed them into believing you are conspiring with me too. And you were there when dad met Max, so dad won't listen to you. He's even told Isabel he's disappointed in her judgement about what's right for me."
Maria shook her head, "Man, Liz, what are you going to do?"
I shrugged, "I don't know. I'm just waiting to get ungrounded and then Max and I are going to talk about it. He said he'd help me with school if I needed it, but I haven't told him about the June wedding everyone but me is planning." At the look on her face I continued, "I can't tell him yet Maria. Not until I can sit down with him and make sure he understands that it'll never happen. You know how he reacted from the restaurant. Imagine what he'll do when he finds out about my parents plans."
Maria sighed, "Just don't wait too long Liz, you have to be honest with him, you made a deal remember?"
I nodded, "Yeah. I'm gonna tell him as soon as we can have some time together." When she nodded I smiled, "But enough of my grumbling, what about you? How's Michael? Or are you still mad at him?"
At the mention of Michael, Maria perked up, "He asked me to be his girlfriend," she gushed.
"He did! When did this happen? What did you say?"
"He came by my house Tuesday when I still didn't return his phone calls. He'd sent me flowers Monday and Tuesday and then showed up that evening saying he was sorry and could we please talk about it. So I let him in and he told me he cared about me and asked if I'd be his girlfriend because he really needs me and I'm his muse when he creates his dishes." she laughed, "His muse! Can you believe he said that? Oh Liz, he was so cute, trying to apologize and stumbling over the words to ask me that I just couldn't say no!"
I laughed, "So, you and he, huh?"
Maria nodded, "Yeah, he's my boyfriend. Isn't that wonderful! I'm dating a chef! God I'm gonna get so fat!"
We both laughed at that. That wasn't true and we both knew it. Maria was like my brother Alex, they both had such high metabolisms that they could eat a house and still not gain an inch. It often made me want to gag at their ability to eat anything they wanted and not suffer for it.
I gave Maria a hug as I said, "I'm happy for you Maria. Michael was obsessing over it for days! He even asked Max for advice on how to go about asking you to be his girlfriend."
She chuckled for a few minutes before sobering again, "So, how's Max taking this separation, seriously?"
I sighed, "He's trying to be strong, but I know it hurts him that my dad doesn't think much of him. I think he's also hiding the worry I know he has about losing me to Kyle. I told him I wouldn't leave him for Kyle, but he thinks I won't have a choice."
Maria nodded, "Sounds like the two of you need some serious one on one time."
I agreed, "Yeah, but it's not easy is it? Between school and work, I don't often have time to spend alone with him. And I'm willing to bet my dad isn't going to be keen on me going anywhere he's not familiar with once I'm no longer grounded."
Maria nodded, "Yeah, he'll want to keep a leash on you."
I frowned, "Gee Maria, thanks."
She shook her head, "No! I mean, we have to come up with a way for you to spend time to talk to Max."
"Yeah, especially since Isabel is out of the picture. I know she won't be able to cover for me anymore. My dad will be suspicious."
Maria was silent for a few minutes before she sat up straight, "Wait! Spring Break is coming up in a couple of weeks! What if we plan a way for you to spend that week with Max?"
I frowned, "How are we going to do that?"
Maria grinned, "I have an idea. Let me look into it and I'll tell you as soon as I know it's viable."
"I don't know, Maria."
"Girlfriend, trust me. I got your back."

POM- Yeah, I originally intended this to be nothing more than a great Max/Liz HOT & HEAVY story. Seems my muse had other ideas.
Em- Well, we know that, but they seem to think Liz will wake up, smell the coffee, and get in line.
begonia- Thanks. Yes, I am all about HOT.
Vero- :D I hear you chica! Well, let's just say it's working so far.
roswell- Yeah, the 'rents are dinosaurs, aren't they? Well, more like Tyranosaurs actually.

Okay, on with the show...

Part 18
*Two Weeks Later*

"Damn Max, this place is great!" Michael chuckled as he walked into the rented beach house with Maria at his side. Max and I walked in behind them carrying our bags, just like they were carrying their own. Maria had come up with a plan just like she said she would. The funny thing was I really didn't think the plan would work, but Maria insisted we try it. So, after much discussion with Max and Michael, who both said they'd be willing to rent a beach house for the week, we put the plan into action.
Maria's plan had been to ask my parents if I could spend Spring Break with her and her great aunt at the condo her aunt owned near the beach. Maria had even gone so far as to ask her great aunt Tia, to call and talk to my parents herself. I couldn't believe that Tia agreed to go along with this plan. She even knew that Maria and I were not going to really stay with her at all. Instead, we would be at the beach house that Max and Michael rented. Granted, we did stop by to see Tia before heading to the beach house since she lived just down the road.

Maria had picked me up and my parents had both been there to watch us leave.
"Okay, Liz, now you've got everything you need right honey? And you have your cell phone and the charger?"
I rolled my eyes, "Yes, dad. I checked and double checked. I have everything packed."
"And you have all our phone numbers and all the emergency numbers?"
"Dad! Really, I'm going to be okay."
"Okay, well I will call Tia and let her know you two are on the way right now. Remember Liz you are to listen to everything she says and don't you dare disobey her or I will have you back home in an instant!"
"I will, dad. Promise."
So, guess you're wondering why my father actually let me go spend the week with Maria and her aunt, especially since Maria wasn't exactly one of his favorite people right now? You guessed it, money! See, Tia's late husband was the owner of several banks in the city and it's surrounding area. Yeah, he handled money every day of his life. Oh, but what really took the cake was the fact that he had also been a state senator, and one whom my father had supported. Tia had always been at her husband's side supporting him and being the perfect wife. My father, remembering all that was more than happy to fawn over the late senator's wife. And Tia had been the superb actress as usual when she talked to my father on the phone as they handled the details of my week with her.
She had managed to convince my father that a week with her and I would change my ways. She told my father that Maria had voiced her concern that I was changing and not being the good girl that I once was. After her talk with Maria, she decided to try to help since she really cared about her favorite niece who seemed upset over the changes in her best friend. Of course my father jumped at the chance to find a way to 'fix' me and to rub elbows with another affluent person. So, the deal was made and we told the guys to go ahead and rent the house.

The guys were waiting for us at Tia's condo. Our plan had been for Maria to pick me up and take us to Tia's where we'd meet up with Max and Michael. From there, we would take separate cars to the beach house. Michael and Maria in her car and Max and I in his.
Max had been the one to answer the door when Maria had rang Tia's doorbell. He swung the door open and scooped me up into his arms, kissing me hard before holding me in a fierce hug. "I missed you beautiful."
"I missed you too, Max."
Maria had rolled her eyes, "Okay girlfriends, we can have many more lovey dovey moments when we get to the house so let's get rolling."
Laughing, we all had gone inside to the kitchen where Michael and Tia sat at a breakfast counter talking over Long Island Iced Teas. Like I said before, Tia could have been a great actress. She had my father eating out of her hand, but then again, she had known exactly what to say to get it. Of course, all those years of dealing with people like my father, either through her husbands many banking business events or through the many functions he'd had as a senator. Just like her husband, Tia had learned how to work a crowd. Imagine my surprise to meet her and find out how very similar to my quirky best friend she was. Tia had her public persona and her private one.
It was there, sitting at the breakfast counter with everyone else that I got to really know her since she was more than willing to share stories about her life with the senator. And it was there that I began to see that there was a way to merge both what people expected me to be with what I really was. Tia had accomplished that well. She was a very funny, almost eccentric lady who loved her husband very much. He had been born into money unlike her. She came from a middle class working family, but that hadn't stopped the senator from falling in love with her spunkiness. She admitted that in the beginning it had been hard to be this perfect model wife everyone expected her to be. Until her husband finally had a talk with her and told her that he loved her for the way she really was. He had explained that like him, they could have their private lives and their public. The public knew him as a very conservative senator, Tia knew him as a fun loving, laid back, crazy kind of guy.

By the time she had seen us off and told us to have a wonderful spring break week, I was feeling more hopeful that Max and I could make things work. The visit to Tia had seemed to energize everyone. As I sat next to Max on the drive to the beach house, I talked about the things I'd been doing the past two weeks and how I couldn't wait to graduate so I could live my life the way I wanted to. Max of course supported me in everything and once again let me know how he'd help me with anything I needed. I had returned the sentiment telling him that I'd be there for him too.
When Max had pulled into the driveway of our home for the week, we were both much more happy and ready to enjoy ourselves. Michael parked Maria's car next to Max's and we'd all gotten out to survey the place. From the outside the white walled, blue roofed two bedroom, two bath house sat on stilts. Under the house was a car port and a storage room, plus an old fashioned wooden swing and a barbecue area with a white picnic bench near the back.
We walked up the stairs on the side of the house that wrapped around to the back of the house. It led to a huge balcony or deck area that had several lounge chairs and end tables scattered around. From there, we could sit and enjoy the ocean view which was not too far away. There was a small trail leading from the house through the grassy lawn and back to the sandy beach.
As we walked in through the two veranda doors, there was a living room to the right, a kitchen to the left and an open area in front of us. The living room contained an ivory queen sized sleeper sofa, an overstuffed blue arm chair, a blue recliner, a wicker coffee table, two wicker end tables and a huge walnut entertainment center complete with state of the art equipment.
The kitchen also contained state of the art appliances, which Michael was thrilled about. There were also plenty of cabinets and drawers along the walls and a breakfast counter that seated six. The open area between the kitchen and the living room actually contained a queen sized ivory colored futon with a long wooden coffee table that was positioned to face the veranda doors.
Behind the futon was the door leading to the small hallway separating the two bedrooms. Michael called dibs on the bedroom nearest the kitchen and proceeded to drag Maria into the room. Laughing, Max and I went into the other bedroom situated near the living room. In fact, there was an extra door in the bedroom that led directly into the living room. Michael's room didn't have the luxury of a door to get him directly to the kitchen.
As Max put our bags into the closet, I looked around the room. The walls were painted a light blue with ivory trim. There was a king sized bed against the far wall with a tall chest of drawers on the left side and an end table on the right. Next to the end table was a door which led to the bathroom that ran the length of the wall behind the bed. There was a small picturesque window on the wall to the left of the bed and the door leading to the living room was on the wall to the right. The closet was on the left side of the living room door while a small desk was to the right of it. To the left of the hallway door was a long table which contained a television and DVD player.
After tossing our bags in the closet and closing the door, Max turned to me and grinned. "Good thing the bed is far away from their room huh? I'm only hoping their bed is on the other side of their room too."
I laughed, "Max! Are you saying you think we are all going to be loud?"
With his trademark smirk, he walked to each door and made sure they were locked before turning back to me, "Want to test that theory?"
I giggled as he grabbed me around the waist and steered us both towards the bed. We landed on the bed with Max on top of me. I grinned up at him as he pushed the hair out of my face, "Now? You want to test it now?"
He nodded, "Yeah." Before I could say anything else, he added, "I know that's probably what Michael and Maria are doing right now." As if in answer, we both heard several moans and then a television being turned on with the volume turned up.
I looked up into Max's eyes and we both burst out laughing. Yep, they hadn't wasted any time breaking in their room. When our laughter died down, I wrapped my arms around Max's neck and pulled him down to me for a long kiss. One thing led to another and soon we were competing with the sounds coming from the other bedroom.

Later that night, after we'd all napped, showered, and changed Michael had made dinner for us with Maria's help. The four of us sat at the breakfast counter eating dinner and discussing things we all wanted to do during the week there.
"All I plan on doing is sleeping, sunning, and relaxing. I mean this is spring break after all. So, why would I want to do anything else? I already have too much to do during school." announced Maria.
"Really Maria, your schedule is soooo crowded during school. It takes lots of time to go get your nails done." I replied sarcastically.
"Hey! Don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful."
We all laughed as Michael asked, "So, you don't want to check out any of the night life around here? Maybe go see if any of the restaurants are any good?"
Maria perked up, "Okay, yeah we could do that!" She turned to look at me, "What about you, chica?"
I grinned, "I'm up for that."
Max nodded, "Yeah, and I thought we could go to the movies at least once and there's the boardwalk a couple of miles from here with lots of shops and entertainment."
"Ooooh! Shopping! Liz, let's go there tomorrow." Maria squealed as she clapped her hands together.
I rolled my eyes, "I'd rather not Maria. I just want to relax and have fun. Besides, I'm sure Michael can keep you entertained this week."
Max laughed at the pained expression on Michael's face as Maria batted her eyes at him, "What do you say Michael? Shopping tomorrow?"
Michael sighed, "If I take you shopping, you gotta promise me that we can check out a few restaurants too."
Maria eagerly nodded, "Of course, that would be fun!"

After dinner, Max and I did the dishes since Michael and Maria had cooked. Then all four of us sat out on the deck enjoying the clear night. Max and I decided to spend the following day just sunning and swimming while Maria and Michael said they'd spend the day at the boardwalk. We made plans to meet back at the house to go out to dinner and dancing at seven.
When Maria started to yawn, Michael took that as the cue to say good night to us before gathering Maria in his arms and going to their bedroom.
After they had disappeared, Max leaned into me and buried his face against my neck, "Alone at last."
I chuckled, "If you'd wanted to be alone, you could have said something."
"I know, but I didn't want to be selfish. After all, I have a feeling we won't be seeing much of Michael and Maria this week."
I arched an eyebrow at him, "Is that so? And what makes you say that?"
He grinned, "Michael already told me how much he was looking forward to spending this time with Maria. He thinks this will help them get closer. Plus, I have you for a week. Why wouldn't I try to keep you all to myself?"
Smiling, I leaned in and nuzzled his cheek, "Hmm, now that sounds good."
Max turned his head and took my lips into his, kissing me deeply. When he finally moved away, I was breathless.
He licked his lips with a smirk, "How about we continue this conversation in the bed?"

As I started to remove my clothes, Max closed and locked the bedroom door. "Wait, beautiful."
I turned to look at him with a puzzled look.
He walked up to me and caressed my cheek, "I want to undress you."
I smiled as he backed me up until I felt the bed against the back of my thighs. He lifted his hands and released the catch to the barrette holding my hair back. As my hair fell around my shoulders, Max dropped the barrette and began to run his fingers through my hair. I closed my eyes, enjoying the way it felt until Max leaned in and took my lips in his for a soft, sweet kiss.
When he pulled away, he trailed his hands down to my shirt and lifted it up over my head. Tossing the shirt aside, his gaze swept over my bra covered breasts. My own breath caught as I watched him lick his lips in anticipation. He wrapped his arms around me, slowly undid the clasp of the bra, stepped back, and trailed the straps down my arms slowly revealing my breasts to his view. I lifted my arms slightly so that he could completely remove the bra and drop that to the floor too. Then he went down to his knees, lifted one foot and removed my sandal before removing the other sandal. Reaching up, he began to undo the buttons of my shorts while looking up into my eyes. I smiled down at him as he curled his fingers over my shorts and underwear and slid them down my legs at the same time. I placed my hands on his shoulders to balance myself as I stepped out of the last of my clothes.
Max dropped my clothes on the floor before sliding his hands up my legs and looking up my body. He sighed, "You are so beautiful to me."
I gave him a shy smile as I shifted my fingers through his hair.
He leaned in and kissed my stomach before swirling his tongue over my skin. I moaned as he dipped his tongue into my navel, his hands traveling up my sides until they cupped my breasts and began kneading them. Closing my eyes, I enjoyed the feel of his hands on my breasts, his lips and tongue on my stomach and hips, and his soft hair brushing over my skin and through my fingers.
Soon Max glided his hands down to my waist to hold me as I suddenly felt his tongue flick against my folds. I gasped as a shiver traveled up my spine. Max slid his tongue farther along my folds before gently caressing my clit. I moaned his name as he lifted my right leg to drape over his shoulder before he went back to tasting me. Now that I was more open to him, he pressed his face to my core and sucked my clit into his mouth. I cried out, clutching his head to keep from falling. As Max alternated between tonguing my folds and sucking on my clit, I could feel how hard it was for me to remain standing. When Max buried two fingers inside of me and began pumping hard, I nearly collapsed right there. The support of his shoulders and the arm he had wrapped around me kept me from becoming a puddle on the floor. I gripped his head harder, holding on for dear life as I began to ride his fingers. He moaned against my clit sending vibrations through my body, as he continued to enjoy the taste of me.
"Max," I gasped, "I can't hold on any more."
Without stopping what he was doing, he guided me back until I was leaning back on the edge of the bed. While one leg was still draped over him, he lifted the other with his free hand and continued to fuck me with his fingers and mouth. Two heartbeats later I was crying out his name in ecstasy as my orgasm rippled through me.
Max continued to lap up my juices as my body shuddered with aftershocks. With a low growl, he stood up and gripped my ankles in his hands. Widening my legs in the air, he thrust into me in one swift motion. My body arched off the bed, still sensitive from his earlier ministrations. He stood there for a few breaths before he slowly slid out of me until just the tip of him remained inside.
I looked up at him and whimpered as he slowly slid back inside of me once more. He continued to move in and out of me in that tormenting, slow way for a while. My legs began to tremble with need as I whispered to him, "Max, please, I need more."
He gave me a smile as he slid out of me once more. I could feel him as he brushed against my opening, adjusted his stance to rub my clit with his tip making me shudder in pleasure. "Max! Please!" I begged.
He entered me again, thrusting deep and hard while letting go of my ankles and wrapping his hands around my hips to hold me still as he began picking up the pace. Still, it wasn't enough for me. I writhed on the bed, trying to lift my hips to meet his thrusts, but his hands held me firmly in place. He continued to thrust into me, his eyes closed, enjoying the way I felt around him.
He groaned, "I love the way you feel, beautiful. So tight and wet." Opening his eyes to look at me, he smiled, "I could stay inside you forever."
Shivers traveled down my spine and made my toes curl with his words. "I could keep you inside me forever, too Max." I moaned.
He leaned over me and kissed me deeply before withdrawing completely from me. Before I had a chance to protest, he lifted me to the center of the bed before laying his body over mine and entering me again.
Immediately I wrapped my legs around his and slid my hands down to his ass. Holding on to him, I lifted my hips to meet his hard thrusts. Max buried his face in my neck and wrapped his arms around me, holding me close as he continued to pound into me. I clutched at his ass, driving him farther into my body as I felt my toes beginning to curl against the back of his thighs. Three hard stokes later, I arched my back and screamed his name, "Maaaaaxxxxx!"
He continued to pound into me relentlessly as I went over the edge, clinging to him. Panting, I milked him with my body and caressed his ass, feeling him begin to tremble. With a shout of his own, Max finally released himself into me. "Oh God, Liz!"
I continued to hold him until I felt him relax against me. I ran my fingers through his hair as he breathed against my neck and I could feel his heart beating against mine. With a sigh, Max rolled off me and pulled me against his side. I rested my head against his shoulder while he wrapped an arm around my waist.
We lay there in silence for a while, letting our bodies cool down until I felt him kiss the top of my head, "I love you, beautiful."
I smiled and lightly kissed his shoulder before settling down against him again. There was another moment of silence before Max spoke once more, "You okay?"
"Mm hm." I replied.
More silence before Max sighed, "Let's get under the covers and get some sleep okay?"

As I lay there in the dark, wrapped in Max's arms, I let my thoughts drift back over the last few weeks. My parents were now talking to Kyle's parents about the wedding in June and Kyle had been pestering me about the Prom. I had told him that I wasn't going to the prom at all this year and even told Maria I had no intention of going. She had told me to ask Max, but I said I wasn't going to ask Max to go back to high school with me for a silly dance. It wasn't the prom that occupied my mind anyway. It was the wedding. I knew I wasn't going to go through with it. No matter what, I wasn't marrying Kyle. But the wedding was already being planned and I knew I had to tell Max about this. I just didn't know how, plus I didn't know how I was going to get out of it. With a sigh, I set it aside and forced myself to get some sleep. I knew I would talk to Max about it during the week, I just prayed he wouldn't freak and we could find a way to get past it. With that prayer in my mind, I finally drifted off to sleep.

Em- hee hee. Well, it sort of bit Liz in the ass, but there's no wedding dress just yet.
Vero- Unfortunately the stress isn't quite over yet, but I promise I will let them enjoy the majority of their vacation.
roswell- Elope! Now why didn't I think of that? Well, that may be a great solution, but it's not where I want to take this story.
BehrObsession- Hee hee. Yeah, lots of what all your musings mentioned will be in the story...in the future...
begonia- Kidding? Not even a little.
POM- Liz couldn't believe it worked either! Here's the drama you were waiting for...

Part 19
The next day Max and I woke up to the sounds of Michael and Maria getting ready to go to the boardwalk. I looked at Max's watch on the end table and noticed it was nine-thirty in the morning. Groaning, I rolled over, curled up into Max's side and mumbled, "I hate Mondays!"
I felt the rumble of Max's laughter against my cheek before he said, "We don't have to get up you know."
"I know, but I could have done without the wake up call."
"We'll just have to tell them to be more considerate next time." He rolled us over until we were facing each other. Running his hand up my back he asked, "You still want to go swimming today?"
I nodded, "Um hm. Just not right away. I thought we'd go out around noon or so."
He lifted his head to look at the time before he lowered his head back to his pillow. Smiling he said, "Well, it's half an hour until ten. What should we do with the next two hours?"
I grinned as I saw the sparkle in his eyes, "Maaax! I thought I made it clear that I didn't want to be woken up."
He pouted, "So you just want to sleep?"
I closed my eyes to keep from seeing that pout, "Yes, sleep."
I heard him sigh as he wrapped his arms around me. I leaned into him, intending to go back to sleep, but a few moments later, he'd rolled us over until I was beneath him.
I squeaked as his lips began to nibble my neck, "Max! We're supposed to be sleeping."
Never once stopping his nibbling, he replied, "I've missed you beautiful."
I cupped his face with my hands and lifted it until I could look into his eyes. "I missed you too but we have all week Max."
"It's not enough time to make up for the two weeks of not seeing each other."
"We saw each other."
"Seeing you for fifteen minutes a day during your work breaks doesn't count Liz."
"Well at least we got to see each other, Max. It could have been worse."
He leaned down to kiss me and I sighed against his lips. I let him deepen the kiss, wrapping my arms around his shoulders. But when his lips left mine, traveling down my neck while his hand cupped my breast, I pushed at his shoulders, "Max. Sleep."
He growled, "Come on Liz, I need you." When I shook my head, he pouted again, "Please?"
I rolled my eyes.
He leaned down to kiss my cheek, "Pretty please?"
"No."
His lips moved to my ear and I shuddered as his tongue traced my earlobe as he whispered, "I'll make it worth your while."
I was about to say no again until I felt his tongue lick the spot just behind my ear. I gasped in pleasure as he followed that lick with a soft nibble while leaning the weight of his entire body against mine. As I felt the liquid heat pool between my legs, it occurred to me that Max always knew exactly what to do to make me want him just as badly as he wanted me.
Needless to say, I forgot all about wanting to sleep as I wrapped my legs around his waist, lifted my hips to meet his, and kissed him passionately.
Just as he was about to enter me, there was a knock on the door to the hallway.
It was me who growled in frustration.
Max grinned down at me as he called out, "What Michael?"
Michael's voice sounded through the door, "Maria and I are heading out to the boardwalk now. We'll meet you guys here tonight at seven, okay?"
"Okay. Bye guys."
"Later."
Max leaned down again to kiss me once more and the moment we heard the veranda doors closing, he thrust into me and proceeded to make me very happy for the next couple of hours.

It was actually close to two in the afternoon before we finally made it to the beach. After making love for almost two hours, we had gone back to sleep for an hour nap. When we got up, we took a quick shower, dressed in our swim suits, ate a light lunch, then walked down to the beach.
Max and I spread the blanket out on the sand and sat down on it. He rubbed suntan oil into my shoulders and back, while I rubbed it into my front and legs. Once we were done with me, we repeated the process with him then lay on the blanket on our backs to sun for a while.
When I began to roll over onto my stomach about thirty minutes later, I groaned at the stiffness in my legs and hips.
Max turned his head towards me and looked at me over his sunglasses. "Sore?" he asked with a sparkle in his eyes.
I stuck my tongue out at him, "Oh don't look so pleased with yourself!" I retorted.
He chuckled as he rolled onto his stomach, "Why not? I pleased you didn't I?"
I smiled, "Yes. You did."
"Well, then, I don't see why I shouldn't be pleased with myself." He lowered his head onto his folded arms with a smile, "After all, I did what any man would do to make sure his woman was satisfied enough not to want another man's bed."
Laughing I said, "You are such a guy!"
"Yes, but I'm your guy."
I gave him another smile as I took his hand in mine, threading our fingers together. We lay like that for a while before we decided to go for a swim.
In the water, Max and I did a few laps then began to chase each other and tried to dunk each other. Of course, Max won most of those because he was much taller than me and much stronger. Pouting, I dragged myself from the water wailing, "It's not fair! You've got too many advantages over me!"
He chuckled, "Okay, if you come back in, I'll let you win this time."
I turned to him and crossed my arms in front of me, "No Max, that's not the point."
He arched an eyebrow, "What? I thought you wanted to win."
I rolled my eyes, "I do, but I want it to be a fair win, not one that you just let me have." I continued walking back to the blanket, picking up my towel to dry off a bit before I sat down.
As I sat there rubbing oil into my skin again, I watched Max as he did some more laps in the ocean. I couldn't help but admire the way his muscles flexed and bunched as he moved through the water. It still amazed me that someone like him would even be interested in someone like me. I knew I was pretty, but I also knew there were others that were prettier. And Max had once been a model. Didn't someone once say that it wasn't right to date a man prettier than them? Granted, I didn't see Max as being pretty, he was handsome. Very handsome. I always thought that men like Max needed a buxom blond on their arm. I was the complete opposite of that. A brunette with small breasts.
Max walked out of the ocean running his fingers through his hair. My mouth went dry at the sight of him glistening in the sun. Trails of water rolling down his chest to his abs and disappearing into his shorts. Oh yeah, he so looked like a Greek god about to seduce the buxom blond water nymph. I frowned as that thought flitted through my mind. Max picked up his towel and slid it over his body, drying himself off. He noticed me staring at him, still wearing the frown.
"Something wrong?" he asked.
I blinked and shook the negative thoughts out of my head, "No, I'm fine." I said a little too hastily. I tossed the oil to his side of the blanket, "Here, you'll probably want some more."
He watched as I turned onto my stomach again, my head turned away from the temptation. Moments later I felt his hands on my shoulders. I sighed as he began to massage my shoulders, rubbing more oil into them. He continued to do so for my back, arms, and legs. By the time he was done, I was feeling really relaxed and even the last of the soreness seemed to have faded away.
He brushed his lips over my hair and leaned in to whisper in my ear, "I love you, beautiful."
I didn't say anything as he moved away from me and began to put oil on himself. His words kept playing in my head. I still couldn't see what was so beautiful about me. I was not model material. I knew it. Max had spent years surrounded by beautiful women, how could he think I was.

An hour later we picked up and went back to the house to shower and get ready for dinner. I took a shower first, then decided on something to wear. I chose a simple white wrap shirt with a light pink wrap around skirt and sandals. As I sat at the desk blow drying my hair into loose curls, Max came out of the bathroom wearing the white cotton pants he was wearing to dinner. He walked over to me, leaned in and kissed my cheek, and said, "You look beautiful."
As he turned to walk to the bed, where his shirt rested, I said, "You always say that."
He stopped walking and turned back to me, "It's the truth."
I continued to blow dry my hair as he watched me, a frown on his face. He walked back to me and took the hair dryer from my hand turning it off. I snapped my head up, "What are you doing? I'm not done."
He set the dryer on the desk and asked, "What's wrong?"
I rolled my eyes, "I just said I was trying to finish drying my hair."
He folded his arms in front of his chest, "No, something else is bothering you. You haven't said a word to me since before we left the beach."
I reached out for the dryer, but Max yanked it out of my reach. I glared at him, "We're going to be late, Max."
"No we won't."
I sighed and turned to face the wall.
Seconds passed and Max spoke, "Talk to me, beautiful."
I closed my eyes, "Why do you say that?"
"Say what?"
"Call me that. I'm not, you know."
"You are to me." I felt his hand running through my hair.
I turned to look at him. He was kneeling next to me, looking up into my eyes. "Max, I'm not." He opened his mouth to speak, but I shook my head, interrupting him, "No. I know I'm pretty, but I'm not what you think. I know I'm not. I mean, you were a model Max. You know there are other women out there who are much more prettier than me. I could never be like them. Even Isabel is like them, but not me."
Max sighed, "What they are is superficial, Liz."
"Max..."
He cupped my cheek, "No, listen to me. Their beauty is mostly on the outside. You on the other hand are a true beauty. You're beautiful inside and out. And the thing is, everyone can see the beauty inside of you. Because it shines through you. That's what makes you more beautiful than all of them. You have it all."
"But I'm not built like them Max." I looked into his eyes as he gave me a puzzled look, "I mean, I'm not blond or tall or leggy. And I don't have boobs for days or a body to die for."
His eyes went wide, "And you think that's what I want? A tall, leggy blond with big tits and a body to die for?"
I rolled my eyes at his teasing smile, "Don't mock me, Mr. Tall, dark, and gorgeous!"
He pouted, "So, that's all you see me as? A tall, leggy, dark haired model with a broad chest and a body to die for?"
I huffed, "No! That's not fair Max!" He laughed at the look of horror on my face. I crossed my arms in front of me, "I just don't understand what it is you see in me. Especially since I know you could have any woman you wanted."
His laughter died as he stared at me, "I don't want any woman, Liz. I want you."
"Why?"
"Because I love you."
I sighed, "That's not an answer Max."
He gave an exasperated sigh and stood up throwing his arms wide, "What do you want me to say? huh? What can I say to make you understand that I love you. Only you. You're real Liz. You know what my life is like. What I've had to deal with. You know how hard it still is for me to open up to people. I took that chance with you. And you didn't judge me. You accepted me as I was. No one ever did that before. If you spent your entire life surrounded by people who only liked you for your money, wouldn't you grab on to the first person who liked you for yourself? I did. I grabbed and held on for dear life. With you I can be myself. Why would I let that go? Why wouldn't I love you for what you've given me?"
"There are others who did that for you Max. Isabel did that."
"I'm not in love with her."
"But you could have been! She accepted you for who you are and she's beautiful Max."
He growled, "Would you stop with the modeling thing!"
I looked up at him, "I can't. I just think..."
"No, don't finish that." He snapped. "Just tell me what is really on your mind because this 'You're too gorgeous to give me the time of day' line is just that! It's a cover up for whatever it is that's really bothering you."
I lowered my gaze to the floor, "It's not a line Max."
He didn't move. Silence stretched between us for a few minutes before he finally spoke, "If that's true, then I was wrong. I thought you liked me for who I am, not for what I am. Guess all you wanted was to be able to tell your friends you got to fuck a tall, dark, and gorgeous model. Well, you got your wish." With that he snatched his shirt from the bed and disappeared into the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind him.

Dinner was awkward to say the least. After we'd all met up in the living room at seven, we took Maria's car down to the boardwalk to a nice Mexican restaurant with a wonderful view of the ocean. We were shown to a table near one of the windows and sat with Michael across from me and next to Maria who was on my right. Max said on the other side of me.
We gave our orders to the waitress and Maria began to fill me in on what she and Michael had done that day. She told me about the different stores that were along the boardwalk. Many of them were stores that sold beach clothes and souvenirs, but there were a few familiar stores like The Gap and American Eagle Outfitters. There were also plenty of restaurants, cafes, and dessert places to choose from. As the waitress returned with our food, Maria explained how she and Michael had even stopped at some of the game rooms and booths and won some interesting prizes too.
"Girlfriend, you have got to get Max to play the basketball hoop game so he can win this cute little green alien man for you. It's the cutest thing. And Michael did mention that Max is great at basketball."
I grinned, "I don't think I need a little green alien Maria."
"Of course you do! Who doesn't need a cute alien to add to their collection." She turned to Max who was sullenly poking at his food, "Tell her Max, you'd love to win an alien for Liz to add to her collection, right?"
He shrugged and continued to push his dinner around his plate, "Why not? She loves adding things like that to her collection so people can gawk at them, isn't that right Liz?"
I glanced at him and saw the hurt in his eyes before I turned back to Maria, "I don't need an alien, Maria."
"No. Especially not a cute one. It would be better if it was an ugly monster, at least then she wouldn't run from it." Max replied.
I frowned, but said nothing.
Michael looked from Max, to me, and back to Max before leaning in to his brother and whispering, "What's up with the sarcasm, bro?"
"Nothing." He dropped his fork onto his plate and began to stand up, "I'm going out for a smoke."
"Max, wait!" Michael stood up and glanced at Maria, "We'll be back."
Maria nodded and waited for the guys to disappear before turning to pin me with narrowed eyes, "Okay, what is going on girlfriend? And don't say nothing because Michael and I have both noticed how the two of you have barely said a word to each other all evening, much less even touched each other. And believe me Liz, I know that's a record for Max."
I sighed, "I said some things that hurt him. Things I shouldn't have."
"Like what?"
"I asked him what it was that he ever saw in me."
"What?"
I nodded and told Maria the rest of the conversation we'd had right before coming to dinner.
She sighed, "So, was he right? About you using that line as an excuse for the real reason you haven't told him?"
I nodded, "Yes. You know I don't have a problem with him. I know what he feels for me is real and I'm not in the least bit worried that he'd leave me for a so called beautiful woman. After everything Max has been through, he wouldn't do something like that."
Maria frowned, "Yet from what I just heard him say, he's thinking you only wanted him so you could love him, leave him, then brag about it."
I closed my eyes and nodded.
"Oh girlfriend! How could you do that to him?"
I grimaced, "I don't know Maria. I didn't mean any of those things. All I could think about was how lucky I was to have someone like him and then I went back to thinking about the wedding and Kyle and my family. I mean, here I am, finally happy and yet I can't be because I'm supposed to be with someone else that's supposed to be perfect for me. But Max is perfect for me and if I'm supposed to be with Kyle then isn't Max supposed to be with someone perfect for him? And that's got to be someone beautiful, like a model, you know. I'm the perfect woman to be on Kyle's arm, so Max needs a perfect leggy big breasted blond bimbo to be on his arm!"
I was vaguely aware that my voice had been rising in pitch when Maria grabbed my head in her hands, "Girlfriend! Calm down. You're drawing attention to us!"
I swallowed, "Right," I took a deep breath, "Calming down."
Maria gave me a sympathetic smile and took my hands in hers, giving them a light squeeze. "Okay, listen Liz. You hurt Max, we know that. But on the good side, he's still here and he knows you were using that as a line for what's really bothering you despite his last words. So, you can work with that."
I frowned, "What are you talking about Maria? I hurt Max."
She nodded, "I know, but he hasn't left has he? No, so what you need to do is talk to him." As I began to shake my head, she continued, "Yes Liz, talk to him. Tell him what's really bothering you. That's why we arranged for this week right? So you and Max could talk about your parents insane plans and find a way to get you out of them."
I nodded and looked up at her, "But Maria, they're not just plans anymore. My parents and Kyle's are now making the arrangements. They already have the church lined up. And are in the process of making the guest list and choosing the invitations!"
Her eyes went wide, "Oh you have got to be kidding me!"
I shook my head, "Mom was on the phone just before you arrived to pick me up arranging a time for the next day to meet with Mrs. Valenti so they could go pick out invitations."
Maria shut her eyes, "Ouch." She sighed and looked back at me, "You have to tell him Liz. The sooner the better. Do you really want to spend the rest of this week with him angry at you for something you didn't mean? Or do you want to spend it in his arms trying to find a way to spend the future with him?"
I sighed and nodded. Maria was right, I wanted this perfect week with Max. Even if it was the only week I'd ever get with him, I still wanted it to be a really good memory I could keep locked inside of me to take out whenever I needed a pick me up.

Max and Michael returned to their seats soon afterwards. Dinner continued to be an awkward affair and when we left, Michael asked if we should just call it a night, but Maria and I said we wanted to go dancing. Max had just shrugged and we'd all gotten into the car to drive farther down the way to a club that had two dance floors. One DJ played alternative and dance music inside and in the back, outside on the sand was another DJ playing island flavored music.
As soon as we entered, Maria dragged me to the dance floor where we spent the next few songs dancing together. Max and Michael found a table near the dance floor and had drinks waiting for us by the time we finally came to join them.
Maria dragged Michael out to dance with her a few songs later, but when I asked Max to go dance with me, he shook his head and said he didn't feel like dancing. I nodded in understanding, I knew he was still upset especially since I noticed how he seemed to be going through his drinks and cigarettes like there was no tomorrow. I'd only known him go through a pack of cigarettes like that once before, the night he had heard my father and I talking outside Horizons. After he had dropped Isabel and I off, he'd returned home and thoughts of that conversation and worries of me leaving him for Kyle had made him pace and chain smoke. I had ignored the ashtray full of cigarette butts and the way the apartment reeked of smoke in favor of reassuring him that I wasn't leaving him for Kyle.
When Maria and Michael returned, I made conversation with the both of them for a while until Maria was ready to go dance again. This time I joined both of them dancing while Max remained at the table. Despite the fact that Max was still sulking, even when I'd tried to talk to him and get him to dance with me, I still tried to enjoy myself with Maria and Michael. As we had Michael sandwiched between us, all of us laughed at the good time we were having.
It was that way for most of the night and when I felt someone tap me on the shoulder, my first thought was that Max had finally decided to join in the fun. I turned around and my smile faltered as I realized it was another guy. He leaned in slightly and spoke to be heard over the music, "Would you mind dancing with me?"
I was about to say no, but he leaned in and whispered in my ear, "Please, I'm trying to make my girlfriend jealous so she'll come dance with me."
I laughed at that and nodded. As I slipped my arms over his shoulders I asked, "Which one's your girlfriend?"
He leaned in again and wrapped his arms around my waist, "Don't let her know you know, but she's sitting at the bar. Towards the middle, in the black halter top and tan leather skirt."
From under lowered lashes, I looked in that direction and saw the woman in question. With long brown hair that boasted blond highlights, long legs, and ample breasts she was definitely a woman to lust after. And currently she was glaring daggers at my dance partner's back.
I turned my head slightly, making it look like I was kissing his neck as I spoke to him, "Well, you'll be happy to know I think this is working. She's giving you a death glare."
He chuckled and tightened his arms around me, pulling me even closer to him. "God, I hope you're right."
A few minutes later I was right. I had lifted my leg to wrap around his legs and whispered into his ear to bend me back and hold me by the ass as he dipped his head to my breasts. As he started to do that, she was out of the stool instantly and stomping her way to the dance floor. But before she had even made it to where we were, my partner was jerked from me and I nearly went sprawling to the floor if Maria hadn't steadied me.
I looked up to find Max glaring at me. "You couldn't even wait until I was out of the picture could you?"
"What?" I looked at the guy next to me before turning back to Max, "It's not what you think Max."
The girlfriend walked up to my partner and hit his arm, "Okay, you jerk it worked! Touch her again and I'll rip your arms off!"
He grinned at me and nodded, mouthing the word thanks as he let his girlfriend drag him off.
I turned back to Max, my grin fading at his look, "See? He just wanted me to help me make his girlfriend jealous so she would dance with him. See?" I said again, pointing in the direction where the two of them were now locked in a heated embrace on the dance floor.
Maria laughed as soon as she saw them, "Damn, talk about killing two birds with one stone."
Michael gave her a puzzled look, "What?"
Maria inclined her head towards Max, "Not only did Liz succeed in helping that guy make his girlfriend jealous, but she succeeded in making her own boyfriend jealous too."
Max turned his glare towards Maria as he growled, "Michael do you have money for a cab?"
Michael nodded, "Yeah, but why do we need a cab? We've got Maria's car."
"Because I'm taking my girlfriend home right now. You and Maria can stay here."
"Oh, right. Okay."
As Max grabbed my arm and dragged me off the dance floor, I turned my head to look at Maria. She mouthed the words talk to him and I nodded in response before Max dragged me out of the club.

The entire ride back to the house was made in silence with the exception of Max slamming car doors and the doors to the house. Once we were in the bedroom and he'd slammed that door too, he turned to me and shouted, "What is wrong with you? You tell me these things about how I belong with someone else and then you go and pretend that never happened and then the first guy that flirts with you, you're all over! I don't get what is going on with you? You want me, then you don't, then you do again! Make up your mind!"
I frowned and crossed my arms over my chest, "You know, I could say the same thing about you Max."
He narrowed his eyes, "I never stopped wanting you Liz."
I lifted my chin, "Oh no? Well, when I tried to get you to dance with me you said you weren't in the mood and we both know you love to dance."
"What does dancing have to do with it?"
"You didn't want to dance with me!"
"You're the one who said you didn't want to be with me!" he shouted.
"I never said that Max! You put words into my mouth!" I shouted back.
"You said I didn't belong with you!"
"And you said that I got what I wanted! A great fuck from a gorgeous model!"
We both stood in shock as my heated words floated around us. Max looked like he'd just been slapped. I shut my eyes as I chastised myself for doing it again. I let my mouth get out of control. I began to wonder if I was ever going to be able to get myself out of this mess I'd made.
Taking a deep breath, I opened my eyes to see Max walking to the closet. He began to pull out his bags and set them on the bed. Panic set in as I grabbed his wrist, "What are you doing?"
Lowering his eyes to my hand on his wrist he answered, "I think I should leave. You guys can stay here and enjoy your break, I'm just gonna go home."
"Max. I wanted to spend my break with you!"
"Could have fooled me."
"God Max, I haven't stopped wanting you either! How could you think that?"
He looked into my eyes, "Gee, let me think, it could have been the moment you said we didn't belong together."
I frowned, "I didn't say that Max. You're still putting words into my mouth." As he opened his mouth to argue, I held up my hand, "No wait, before you say anything and we get into it again and I say more stuff I never meant in the first place, I need to apologize to you."
He frowned, "For what?"
"For saying all of that in the first place. You were right Max. It was all just a line, to hide what was really bothering me. Everything I said to you I never meant, but the words just kept coming and I couldn't stop them. I know I hurt you and I don't blame you for being upset with me, but I need to tell you what was really bothering me before you leave. Can you just let me do that?"
He stared at me for a moment before he walked over to the chair and sat down. Crossing his arms over his chest he said, "Talk."
I sighed and began to tell him my so called good news. "I'm getting married in June."
He sat up straighter and let his hands fall into his lap, "Tell me that's another line."
I shook my head and watched his eyes fill up with tears.
"To Kyle," he stated in a voice that was a barely above a whisper.
I nodded as I filled him in, "My parents have been making the arrangements. I told them I had no intention of going through with it Max. They know I don't want to do this. And they are insisting that I go to the prom with Kyle too. I've been telling Kyle and my parents over and over again that I'm not doing either of them with him." I paused as Max closed his eyes before I continued to tell him everything that my parents had been doing. I told him about the confrontations I'd been having with Kyle and I told him that my parents were already working closely with Kyle's parents to make the wedding a reality.
Max never said a word as I finished telling him everything I needed him to know. He just sat there with his head bowed and listened to me. Until I was done and silence filled the space between us again. By that time my throat hurt like hell from trying not to cry at the lost look on Max's face. I couldn't breathe for fear of what he would say to this.
Swallowing the lump in my throat I whispered, "Max. Say something."
"What do you want me to say Liz? You're marrying Kyle."
"I don't want to Max."
"But you're parents are making you."
I curled my hands into fists, "Yes! That's what they want me to do, but I'm not going to! That's not what I want!"
He nodded and slowly stood up, "Right. Well, it doesn't seem to matter what you want does it? No more than it matters what I want."
I stared at him as he made his way back to his bags on the bed. Stunned I watched him start to pack his things, "Did you not hear what I said! I'm not getting married to him if I can help it!"
Max turned to look at me, "Answer me this. These lines you were feeding me earlier, were you thinking they would hurt me less than telling me you're going to marry Kyle?"
I shut my eyes, "I don't know what I was thinking Max. I wasn't trying to push you away if that's what you think."
"Then what were you trying to do, Liz?"
"I don't know. God Max, I don't want to lose you."
He glared at me, "Did you think I'd stand aside and watch you marry Kyle then be satisfied while you had an affair with me behind your husbands back?" He roared, "Is that it? You want your cake and eat it too!"
I stepped back from his hurt anger, "No Max, that's not it."
"Then what the fuck do you want from me Liz?"
"I need you to help me find a way to get out of this marriage Max. So I can go to college and do the things I want to do. You said you'd help me with anything I needed remember?"
He shut his eyes as he straightened up, "Why would you want me to help you? Just marry the guy and everyone will be happy."
"I won't."
He turned to look at me, "Why wouldn't you? I'm sure you could convince daddy or your new husband to let you go to college if you're a good girl. Besides, when you're out of daddy's house I'm sure it'll be easier for you to divorce your husband." I stared at him slack jawed as he continued with a shrug, "Think about it. Do you really want to let go of all that money? You've never had to live without it before. Take it from someone who's been there, it's not easy to go from being surrounded by money to absolutely nothing in record time."
"It's not about the money Max! How could you even think it was about that!"
He arched a brow, "You say that now, but like I said, you've never had to do without it before."
I growled, "I'm not refusing to marry Kyle because I want to go to college Max! I'm refusing to marry Kyle because I want to be with you!"
"Oh, so I'm just the lesser of two evils then?"
"What?"
"Well, with me not only do you still get money, but you also get a college tuition, and a great roll in the hay whenever the mood strikes."
"I can't believe you are saying this! I'm not after you for the money Max! When did I ever say I wanted your money? You know I just want you!" I yelled.
He crossed his arms in front of his chest, "Still don't understand why you would want me. You say you don't want me for my money or for the fact that I could help you through college. So, that leaves the great roll in the hay!"
"No Max!"
"Then what else do I have to offer Liz?" He yelled, his voice continuing to rise. "Tell me why you want me so badly!"
"Because I love you!" I screamed.
His arms fell to his sides as tears began to flow down my cheeks, "What?" he whispered, shock written all over his face.
My lips trembled for a moment before I gave a shaky laugh, "Oh don't look so shocked! You knew that was coming." I looked into his eyes and realized that it wasn't true. Max had no idea that I'd even felt that way about him. In that instant I realized he must have thought he really was a passing phase for me.
I closed my eyes, "Oh Max. I'm so sorry." I looked into his eyes again as I continued, "I never wanted to hurt you. I never did. You have to know, I do love you. I always have. Just like you said, you knew when I took that risk and went out with you. I loved you before that." I gave him a smile as I said, "I loved you the moment our eyes met for the first time across the crowded sidewalk. I tried to tell myself that the look you gave me just made me nervous, but the truth was that it opened up something inside of me. That night, I lay in my bed thinking of what it was about your eyes that had me feeling all nervous like that. But I now know that wasn't it. I looked into your eyes and saw your soul. The moment my soul saw yours, that was it. I fell in love with you. I was just too naive and clueless to realize it then."
Max stared at me, "Liz. God, I never thought you'd say that to me."
"I know." I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist. Laying my head against his chest I said, "I love you Max. I've always loved you."
Trembling, Max wrapped his arms around my shoulders. We stood there for a few moments before I felt his arms tightening more, crushing me to him. He buried a hand in my hair just as he did the same with his face. I heard him whisper against my hair, "I love you too, beautiful."

TBC.... And I had wanted this story to be a light, fluffy piece. Finicky muse!

Okay, I'm starting to get a little frustrated here. I keep wanting this story to go a certain way, but my muse wants it to go another way. Every time I sit down to write a part that I'd outlined waaaay before hand, it ends up being different. This part is like that. I wrote and rewrote until I was afraid I'd pulled all my hair out. Truthfully, I think every time I wrote this part, it just got worse than the last time I wrote it. So, after spending days trying to get it right, this is what my muse and I seem to agree on. I think she's still much happier than I am. :(

Vero- Well, she is still in high school. I had intended to write her as being mature and level headed, but as I said before, my muse had other ideas. :?
begonia- No it's not and yes it would, but I don't want to take them down that road. Then again, my muse may have other ideas.
Emz- Thanks. Yes it would.
BehrObsession- Hee hee, I was trying to hold out for prom actually, but my muse won once again. That's so true about Liz thinking Max would know even as she isn't admitting it to herself. It'll be a while yet before the truth comes out. Yes, Kevin deserves what's coming to him.
roswell- Hmmm...

Okay, on with the show...

Part 20
The next day, Max and I decided to go to the beach again with Michael and Maria. We'd spent the night sitting on the bed talking about my situation with my parents and Kyle and decided to talk to Maria and Michael about it when we all went to the beach hoping four heads would be better to come up with a way to get me out of that wedding.
The first thing out of Michael's mouth had been for the two of us to get ourselves hitched, but Max and I didn't think we should do that just to get me out of marrying someone else. Max and I had already agreed that getting married might also ruin my chances at getting into certain colleges or getting scholarships and the like. Still, Max had assured me that he would still help me with anything for college that I wasn't able to do myself.
We spent our time going back and forth between ideas when we weren't sunning or swimming, but there was nothing sensible enough that we could come up with. We both knew we loved each other, but we also knew we wanted to get married to spend the rest of our lives together, not because it would be the easiest way to get me out of another marriage. When Michael continued to push the issue and ask why we won't just do it ourselves, I told him I wanted to marry for the right reasons, not just because it was convenient and Max agreed.
Later that day, Maria and I had been soaking up the rays when Max and Michael came to us and asked if we'd help them settle an argument. Apparently they were being guys and trying to one up each other, so they decided they could get us to do a game of chicken in the water to see who would be the better one. Maria had rolled her eyes but I thought it would be fun, so we went out to the water. It was easy for me to climb onto Max's shoulders, but took Maria a little longer to do so. Once she was ready, it was on. Surprisingly, she put up a good fight. Every time I thought she was finally going to tumble, she managed to balance herself again.
The guys kept hurling jibes at each other, hoping to help unbalance us, but I managed to tune them out. My arms started to burn from the exertion when suddenly Maria let out a squeal and bent over to look down in the water. I used that to my advantage and grabbed her leg, lifting it up so that she kept right on bending over until she toppled into the water. Max let out a whoop and held our hands up in triumph as Maria came up sputtering. She glared at us.
"I felt something brush against my leg! I could've landed on a jellyfish Liz!"
Max gave her his trademark smile which made Michael narrow his eyes. "There wasn't anything there Maria."
"Yes there was!"
"No, there wasn't. Unless you count Max's hand." he growled.
That sent me into laughter as Maria sputtered, "What! Max, you jerk! That was cheating."
"No that wasn't," I supplied, "You said you felt something. His hand slipped from my leg, it's happened quite a few times."
Max's smile widened as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder, "That's my girl!"
As Maria continued to bristle and Michael continued to glare, I added, "Besides, it's not like I didn't feel Michael's hand slip against my leg a few times too."
Max stiffened besides me. "What! Little brother, keep your hands to your own girlfriend," he growled.
That sent all of us into another round of laughter and Maria and Michael conceded the win to us.

After spending most of the day at the beach, we all went back to the house to take showers, relax a bit, then drove to the boardwalk for a bite to eat before we went to this party at a beach house not too far from ours. We had been invited to the party by the guys who were renting it for the week. Actually, it was Maria who had been invited since she was the one who had been lying out on her towel while the rest of us had been in the water. Two of the guys had come up to her and given her a flier for the party and had told her to bring her friends. So, we had all decided to check it out and see if it was worth it.
The house was similar to the one we were staying in, except the patio or deck was basically two tiered. Where our deck had stairs that wrapped around the house down to the car port. Their second floor deck had a set of stairs that went directly down to the first floor patio. There was only one way into our house. They had the door from the deck and another one on the other side. The entire party took place mostly on the first floor patio since it was the bigger of the two, but there were still people on the upper level.
One of the guys had rigged up a stereo system to pump music throughout both levels. It was a typical beach party with lots of half naked college and high school kids who wanted to dance and drink the night away. Maria walked around still looking way to innocent for her own good and tended to stay glued to Michael's side. Since Max and I were back on good terms, he immediately dragged me to the dance area were we spent most of our time that night.
Later, Michael finally asked us to help him unglue Maria from his side, so I took pity on him and dragged Maria out for a few dances while the guys socialized. It took a while to loosen Maria up, but eventually she was able to relax, enjoy herself, and meet new people. I certainly met quite a few people who were interesting to talk too. Some of them were quite entertaining in their drunkenness, but no one was ever lewd or out of line. I think it was obvious that I belonged to Max, so no one tended to mess with me.
"Would you stop!" Maria exclaimed with a jab at my side.
"Ouch! What did you do that for?" I asked as I rubbed my side.
Maria rolled her eyes, "Oh please! If you and Max were any more obvious with the goo goo eyes you are making at each other across the patio, you'd both be naked and making like bunnies!"
I gasped, "Maria!"
She laughed, "Look at him! He's literally undressing you with his eyes! Just like you're doing to him."
I beamed at Max as I said, "Well, it's not like we left much to the imagination what with the outfits we are wearing." I turned to look at her as I continued, "Then again, everyone here hasn't really left much to the imagination anyway."
As a blond surfer walked past Maria, she agreed, "Girlfriend you are sooooo right."
I laughed as she walked off after him before turning to look at Max. My laughter died immediately. Max was still standing in the same place, but was now talking to a girl who looked like she came straight out of playboy magazine. I watched as Max gave her a smile and said something to her. She said something back and Max nodded. A moment later he turned away from her until she said something to him. When he turned back to her, she leaned her implants against his arm and trailed her manicured nails down his chest.
In a matter of moments I was at his side. "Hi Max," I said in an innocent voice.
Max turned to me with a huge smile and a grateful look in his eyes as he responded, "Hi beautiful." He turned to the girl and said, "Wendy, this is my girlfriend, Liz."
I gave her an over exaggerated smile as I said, "Nice to meet you Wendy."
Even Max noticed the once over she gave me. He arched an eyebrow as she said, "Max, the offer is still open."
I put on my most innocent look as I asked, "What offer, honey?"
Before Max had a chance to say anything, Wendy said, "Oh, it's nothing worth your time. Just a little idea I ran by him."
I arched an eyebrow and looked at Max who was now gaping at her. It didn't take a genius to figure out what she was talking about. "Max?" I asked, "Did she just proposition you?"
As Wendy asked, "What's a proposition?" I watched Max's face break out into a wicked smile as he replied, "Yes she did, my love, but you know I don't accept poor substitutions."
"What's a proposition?" Wendy asked again.
I turned to her and smiled a fake smile, "In this case a proposition is much like prostitution. The giver lays it bare for all the world to see in hopes someone will be desperate enough to go for the snatch."
Max grinned at my answer. "Isn't she great?" He asked.
Wendy rolled her eyes, "Whatever."
I narrowed my eyes at her. "Listen," I growled, "I don't know what was said between you two, but let me just say this. From what I saw, it looked like you were coming on to my boyfriend. So, if that was true, then you need to know that it's just like he said. He won't accept any substitutions. And you clearly ARE a substitution!" As Max wrapped an arm around my waist, I continued, "Now if you'll excuse us, I'm going to give Max an award for being the perfect boyfriend." With that I took Max's hand and hauled him away from her.

"God, you are so fucking sexy when you're being possessive," Max panted against my lips as he lifted me up onto the bathroom counter. After we'd left Wendy, I had led Max upstairs to the second level and kissed the daylights out of him as we swayed to the music. Max had growled against my lips, lifted his head to look around, and hauled me inside of the open doors leading to the living room of that house.
It had taken us a couple of minutes to find the only empty room available where Max had instantly attacked me the moment he'd had the door closed and locked. Needless to say I wasn't about to complain about it as I make quick work of shoving his shorts down and taking him in my hand.
He growled as I began to stoke him the way I knew drove him wild. He slid his hand beneath my skirt, past my bikini, and plunged two fingers inside of me.
"Yes!" I hissed in pleasure as his thumb began to caress my bundle of nerves while his fingers delved in and out of me.
I gripped him harder and pumped faster, feeling his hips rocking against my hand. Growling, I demanded, "I need you inside of me now, Max."
Removing his fingers from me, he wrapped an arm around me and lowered me to my feet. As he lifted my skirt and lowered my bikini, he leaned in to whisper into my ear, "Turn around, beautiful."
I did as he asked and leaned forward over the counter.
Max gripped my hips and with one thrust, filled my eager body.
I gripped the edge of the counter and arched my back as Max quickly picked up a rhythm. "Fuck yes, Max! That's it baby!"
He leaned forward, his forehead against my shoulder as he panted, "You feel so good beautiful!"
I bucked my hips back into his, urging him on, "More Max, I need more."
Max slid a hand over my hip, down to my folds. Parting them with his fingers, he slid them down to my clit and rubbed it in time to his thrusts. With a growl I came shouting my pleasure, "Yes! Oh yes! Max!"
He buried his face in my neck as he continued to pound into me while holding me close. With a growl of his own, he released himself inside of me, "Oh fuck, yes!"
It was several minutes before we were able to come down from our high. I felt Max wrap both arms around me in a fierce hug as he buried his face in my hair. "God I love you," he mumbled.
I grinned at his proclamation as I said, "I love you too, oh perfect boyfriend of mine."
Chuckling, he slid away from me and we cleaned up before heading back to the party holding hands. As we stepped down to the first level, Max frowned as soon as he saw Wendy putting the moves on another victim. Turning to me he asked, "Shall we call it a night?"
I grinned and wiggled my eyebrows, "With pleasure."

The next day, Max and I decided to go to the boardwalk to try out some of the games and entertainment Maria had told us about that first night. We rode the Ferris wheel and tried our hand at some of the games along the way. I even watched Max as he played the hoop game and won me the little green alien after all. I asked Max to keep it at his place since my parents were under the impression that I was spending my time learning how to be a 'good girl' from Tia and not out having fun.
We had a wonderful time competing against each other at some games and squirting each other with the water guns that were part of a racing game. Somewhere along the way, we took a break and got some ice cream sundaes at one of the dessert shoppes there.
Finally we decided to head back to the house for a nap before going out to dinner and a movie like Max had wanted to.
We went to an intimate Italian restaurant for dinner, then went to the movie theater down the street from the boardwalk to see the latest Tom Cruise movie. After the movie, we went for a moonlit stroll along the beach then relaxed in a lounge chair on the deck of our house. When Maria and Michael came home around one in the morning, we all retired to our rooms for the night. Of course, none of us went to sleep until much, much later.

On Thursday, Max and I decided to spend the day on the beach again since Michael was making dinner for all of us that night, then we'd have a movie night in front of the television. For the first part of the day at the beach, Max and I continued to talk about ways to get me out of marrying Kyle. We finally decided that I would keep trying to talk my parents out of it. However, if it got too close to graduation with no change, then Max wanted me to move in with him and I'd go to college in the meantime.
The last half of the day we rented jet skis and raced each other around the waves for a while. Then we went swimming, playing in the water and occasionally making out too. We kept laughing and giggling trying to see what we could get away with underneath the water away from wandering eyes. I'd succeeded in jerking Max off, his moan muffled in my mouth as I kissed him. Max tried to get me off with his fingers, but I was too nervous about being out in the open, so we gave up and he promised to make it up to me when we got back to the house.
He didn't disappoint. As soon as we got home, we took a shower together. It was there that Max went down on his knees, making me come with his talented tongue and fingers, then he lifted me up, wrapped my legs around his waist and took me there against the shower wall. Once more he gave me an incredible orgasm before having one himself.
Afterwards, we rested on the bed until Michael called us out to dinner. The four of us talked about our vacation so far and enjoyed each others company as we ate. Max and I also told them about our decision on dealing with my impending wedding. While Max and I cleaned up in the kitchen after dinner, Michael and Maria got the living room ready for movie night. They had rented the movies while at the boardwalk that day and Max and I would be returning them the following day since we were planning on going to the boardwalk again.
Halfway through the second movie, I began to doze off so Max announced that we were going to bed. I protested, wanting to stay up and watch more movies with my friends, but when I found myself nodding off again, I gave up and decided to let Max take me to bed.

Max and I got up around ten and decided to go shopping at the boardwalk. Although I told him we could go to any store so long as it was not one of the typical ones I normally saw at my local mall. So after we dropped off the movies, we spent most of the day checking out all the stores that sold things like beach clothes and souvenirs. There were also stores that sold candy confections, jewelry, and other keepsakes.
Max and I spent most of our time browsing instead of buying anything. We also sat down at one of the squares to watch several people play games of chess or other games set up in the area. We finally went to a burger joint around five for an early dinner since we had to get back to the house to help get ready for the party Michael and Maria decided to have. They had said they'd get the word out while they were at the beach for the day and Michael said he was going to make the snacks so Max volunteered to supply some drinks.
After dinner, Max and I stopped at a grocery store to get some sodas, beer, and other supplies to make mixed drinks before heading home. Maria was outside getting the deck area ready and Michael was already in the kitchen getting the snacks ready. So I went to help Maria while Max helped Michael. Michael had found a huge aluminum bucket and cleaned it out to use as a tub for ice and beer. Maria and I set the tub up in one corner of the deck and moved the lounges out of the way of dancing bodies. We also managed to move the speakers out to either side of the veranda doors, since we discovered the wires were long enough to reach out there. Max helped us to get the wires set so that the doors could still be opened and closed easily without damaging them.
When everything was pretty much ready, we all went to change. I wore a light blue sundress that was knee length and Max wore khaki shorts with a white short sleeved buttoned down shirt. Maria wore a pair of red shorts and a red and white checkered halter top. Michael wore jean shorts and a Metallica t-shirt. By the time we were all dressed and back outside, there were already a couple of people there.
As the night wore on, we would introduce ourselves to any newcomers and make sure they understood they couldn't go inside the house. We kept the veranda doors closed, and set the radio to a local radio station that played a good mix of party music. Michael had set the snacks up on the tables on the deck and several guests were kind enough to add their contributions to the tub we had or brought their own ice chests full which they didn't mind sharing. Soon, it got to be crowded enough on the deck that the party spilled down the stairs and to the barbecue area under the house. We managed to make the music loud enough to hear down there, but low enough to not disturb our nearest neighbor who was about a quarter of a mile away. Granted, those neighbors were partying with us, but still we didn't want to cause a disturbance if we could help it.
Max and I enjoyed ourselves, but apparently not as much as Michael and Maria. Michael kept getting compliments on the food and throwing a great party and Maria was loving the fact that she could be herself and cut loose without worrying that someone was going to look down on her. I spent most of my time dancing with Max or we would hang out in the corner between the doors and the ice tub to keep an eye on both. Neither one of us had much to drink that night, but we watched as our friends lived it up. It was about 3:30 in the morning when the food and drinks finally seemed to have run out and the guests trickled out.
Max and I made sure everyone got wherever they needed to be safely, calling cabs for some of them and helping friends escort other friends home. Eventually the two of us cleaned up a bit since Michael was occupied with getting his very drunk girlfriend into bed. He told us to just bring everything inside and he'd clean up the following day. It took Max and I another hour before we managed to clean up the outside. Once we were done, we were so exhausted, we both took a quick shower together and went to bed.

Neither one of us woke up until well after noon. Even then, we were still too lazy to get out of bed. We could hear Michael and Maria cleaning up in the kitchen, but we stayed right where we were and cuddled for a while. Max eventually got up to make us a couple of sandwiches and we ate them in our room while watching television for a bit. We finally decided to get up and go to the boardwalk to one of the quaint little cafes for dessert.
After we had dessert, we stopped by the house to pick up a couple of blankets and went out to the beach to watch the sunset. Max sat behind me and I leaned back against his chest with his arms around my waist even after the sun had set. Michael and Maria came to find us snuggling and asked if we wanted to go with them down the beach to a bonfire gathering that some of the people who'd come to our party the night before were having.
Max and I decided it would be fun to sit around a bonfire and roast marshmellows, so we went back to the house to change into something warmer before walking down the beach to the bonfire. Michael and Maria were already there and had saved us a place next to them. Marshmellows and other party favors were passed around, so Max and I made ourselves comfortable on our piece of driftwood. Turned out Max was a whiz at making s'mores. He could get them melted just right so that they wouldn't be all runny and messy, but when you took a bite of them, they melted in your mouth. It was heaven. Maria agreed. Even Michael agreed because that was one of the few things he just couldn't get right even though he was a chef.
As it got later, Max pulled me into his arms and snuggled with me. I could feel him nibbling on my neck and his hands caressing my skin beneath the sweater I wore. It was a few minutes later that he breathed into my ear, "Let's go home beautiful. I want to spend our last night here making love to you all night."
I closed my eyes with a sigh at the way he said that and nodded my consent. Max and I said good night to the others and walked back to the house hand in hand. We had barely gotten inside the house when Max pulled me into his arms and kissed me deeply.
I moaned into his mouth as his tongue caressed mine and wrapped my arms around his shoulders.
He began to walk me backwards towards the bedroom, so I jumped up and wrapped my legs around his waist.
We both giggled as we stumbled into the bedroom together. Max set me on the bed and I rose to my knees to lift up his shirt. He took it off the rest of the way while I began removing my own clothes. Once we were totally naked, I lay back on the bed and crooked my finger at Max, smiling at him. He gave me his trademark smirk as he crawled up the bed, laying his body over mine.
We groaned in unison at the feel of our skin connecting. Max kissed me once more and I let my hands wander over his shoulders, down his back, and to his waist. I shifted slightly, raising my hips, but Max moved away from me.
As he slid down my body, he smiled and said, "We have all night, beautiful. I want to take my time loving you."
I smiled, "Okay. I want to love you too, Max."
He leaned down and pressed his lips against my inner thigh. I bit my lower lip at the feel of his lips against my sensitive flesh and let out a gasp as his tongue took a quick swirl over my folds. Max took his time pleasuring me. I lay there with my eyes closed for a while just feeling his lips, tongue, and fingers touching me. When it began to be too much, I lifted my head to look at him and discovered him watching me. Spreading my legs wider, I rose up on my elbows and lifted my hips to give him better access. The sight of him pleasuring me there and the intense look he was giving me combined together to send me into my first orgasm of the night.
Still Max didn't stop with his loving. He waited until I had collapsed against the bed again before he removed his mouth from me, placing a kiss against my stomach and making his way up my body. His hands and mouth kissed and caressed every inch of skin he could get to. By the time he'd reached my lips, I was more than ready to have him inside of me. But Max had other ideas. He left my lips once more to travel down to my breasts, lavishing attention on one then the other. Just when I thought he was done, he would switch to the other one again. I was begging him for more even as I writhed beneath him and held his head to my breasts. My next orgasm took me by surprise because I couldn't believe a woman could have one when nothing but her breasts were teased. So, either I had incredibly sensitive breasts or Max just had a very talented mouth. I was willing to bet it was the latter.
Max lay besides me, propped up on one elbow and caressing me with his other hand while I came down from my high. I turned towards him with a smile and pushed him onto his back. Turnabout was fair play. I spent my time exploring my boyfriend's body with my hands and mouth. I kissed, nibbled, and caressed every inch of skin I could find. That was the way I found out that Max's nipples were one of his sensitive spots. So was the area behind his right ear, his spine, and his hips. Once he was writhing just like I had done earlier, I took him in my mouth and took my time licking and sucking him. His hands curled in my hair, holding me down and encouraging me to do more. I opened my eyes to look at him while I pleasured him. He was watching me as usual, but even I could see how hard it was for him to keep doing that. His body was starting to tremble. So I gripped him in my hand and tightened my mouth around the head of his cock feeling his hips buck in response. But Max tugged at my shoulders to stop me from going on.
I looked up at him, showing my confusion in my eyes.
Max moaned before saying, "I want to be inside of you when I come, Liz."
I nodded, let go of him and slid up to impale myself on him. He pulled me flush with him and rolled us over so that I was underneath him. Rising to his elbows, he began the familiar rhythm that would lead us both to our climax. I wrapped my legs around his and lifted my hips to meet him thrust for thrust. He lowered his forehead to mine and I gripped his biceps in my hands. Our breathing matched perfectly and I knew our heartbeats had to be the same. The moment I felt my body explode and fragment into millions of pieces, I also felt Max fill me up with his essence as our cries blended together.
It was a long while before we finally came down together, but even then Max remained lying on top of me and I held him there in my arms.
Rolling to his side, he pulled me closer and looked into my eyes as a hand caressed my cheek. "It's going to be so hard going back to my place and not having you there to wake up with me."
I nodded, "I know. I've gotten used to you too Max."
"Am I going to be able to see you anytime other than your work breaks?"
I sighed, "I don't know. You know I'll keep you posted. And we'll still talk on the phone every night."
He nodded, "I know. It's just, I wish I could spend more time with you, like we did this week."
I closed my eyes as he kissed me. When he pulled away, I said, "It's only about two more months and I'll be free to see you whenever I want."
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Will you go to the prom with me?"
I frowned, "What?"
"You told me your parents want you to go with Kyle, but you told them all no."
"I did, but..."
"So, since you're not going to the prom with anyone, go with me."
I rolled my eyes, "I don't really want to go to the prom. We could just go somewhere together on that night."
He shook his head, "It's your senior prom, beautiful. You need to go."
"Max..."
He placed a finger against my lips, silencing me as he said, "Liz, I want to take you to the prom. Please, let me do that. I'm your boyfriend after all and I love you."
I smiled, "I love you too Max." I nodded, "Okay, yes, I want to go to the prom with you, my boyfriend."
He laughed, "Great!"
I grinned at the look of triumph he wore, but it didn't last long. Soon we were locked in another heated embrace. Max was true to his word, we spent the entire night loving each other.
