I was raised in a house where manners were harped on big time. How one acts in public, how one acts at the dinner table and much other things.But the one thing my father was big about was teaching on how a man treats a lady.
I was raised to always hold the door, give up my seat, say yes ma'am and never ever under any circumstance what so ever to lay my hand on a woman in anger (which I wouldn't have done to began with anyway.)

We'll just start a school that all men have to complete - and you can be the headmaster figure... or drill sgt.; whichever you prefer!

Hey, so there is one nice guy in the world. Now us ladies can't say "there are no good men in the world" You know what the sad part is. There are nice guys out there but for every one of those there are 10 like the one this thread got started about.

For a guy having a woman say he's a nice guy is the kiss of death. It's like describing a woman and using the phrase 'but she has a nice personality. 'For we've all heard the saying Nice Guys Finish Last.Well for a lot of times it's true especially when it comes to dating. For a lot of ladies out there, even though most of you will deny it, a nice guy is boring.
Women love that whole 'exciting' or 'dangerous' man angle And will pass up a nice guy becuase....even thought they say that's what their looking for in a relationship.....because they see him as boring compared to the other 'dangerous' guy.

While I'll be the first to admit that their is a certin thrill to the whole "Bad Boy" image, I think I speak for every woman when I say that we want to be treated with respect and be treated like a person instead of public property. I can honestly say that of all the guys i know, you're the most respectful of women and I've never even met you!
Basically, there's nothing wrong with a nice guy and I'm sure that woman-kind would be thrilled if guys like you out numbered the bad boys seeing as their the ones that tend to hurt us.

I don't know with all I've seen out there it's hard for me to not buy that a woman will pass up a nice guy for a 'bad boy' whenever she gets the chance.
It was fun for a little while ,but got really old really quick.

Hey there...I'm also a Capricorn. I read, write, paint, sing and act. I love long walks on the beach and cheesy horror and romance flicks. I also love Casablanca! It must be fate! hehehe LOL!
All kidding aside though, just like there are jerky guys, the same holds true for girls. The ones worth keeping are the ones who go for the nice guy that she can trust.

You're talking to a former child of the 80's so cheesy horror flicks is what I grew up on .Now for romance flics,I have The Wedding Planner,How to Lose a Guy In 10 Days,Someone Like You,Titanic,Simpliy Irristible,Fools Rush In and City of Angels on dvd.Of course I wasn't to happy with the ending of City of Angels.I mean come on we go through all that and in the end Meg Ryan gets killed? Crappy ending
Oh my god! I know! He literally fell for her! It broke my heart! Nowyou are somone I'd go to the movies with. I believe that the nicest movie I was asked to see is Mission Impossible. I mean, hello? Girl here! Car chases and explosions are not my thing.
