I drive up to the so called school for the gifted. Why don't they just come out with it? We're mutants. There, that's all they have to say. But, no. They keep hidden in this place. I grab the duffle bag from the passenger seat and get out of my car. Locking it as I walk up the few steps and up to the doors. Grabbing ahold of the handle, I can feel that it's open and I just walk inside.

Looking around. Suddenly I feel someone touch my shoulder and I spin around grabbing the person and shoving them against the wall, bringing my so called claws out and holding them up to the persons face. Looking into his eyes. They were, by far, the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. But, I stand my ground.

Michael

Walking into school slightly late as usual, I let out an inaudible groan. I'd had the urge to shapeshift last night and run around in the forest, and hadn't gotten in till three. Bad, bad idea. I'm still a little twitchy, and itching to run around, and my reflexes are all screwed up.

As soon as I walk through the door, I bump into someone, and am about to turn around and say sorry when I'm pushed up against a wall with what feels like metal knives held up to my face. Opening my eyes and breathing deeply so I don't start shifting in school, I stare at my assailant. It's a girl. Wasn't expecting that one.

"A little touchy are we?" I say calmly, feeling my eyes shift to a different vision, one of a more 'feline persuasion.' I'd been a mountain lion last night, and my body didn't want to be back as a human right yet, I could tell.
