I had almost forgotten about that! And I can feel jealousy growing inside me now that she mentioned other men in underwear, totally stupid an unlogical but I can't help it.

I watch in fascination as she moistens her lips, eager to finally get that good night kiss I was talking about.

"I don't bite Alex so you don't have to sit at the edge of the bed.Come sit closer."

"Before or after I take my clothes off?" I ask with a grin, feeling a bit more relaxed now that I spotted a slight red flush on her face. Maybe I'm not the only one nervous here.

With another deep breath, I get up and sit down next to her, within easy distance to put my hand behind her head and draw her closer for a kiss but I resist for now.

"Better?" I ask with a smile as I take one of her hands in mine without breaking eye contact.

"Before or after I take my clothes off?"
I look at him in surprise and amusement but I'm glad that he's relaxing now.I have no clue why I am feeling like a naive schoolgirl but I am.If my heart beats any louder,I'm sure he'll be able to hear it.

"Better?" he asks coming and sitting next to me and taking my hand in his "Much better." I murmur and squeeze his hand slightly,feeling a little a self conscious under the intensity of his gaze. "Alex..." I hesitate not sure whether or not I should ask him what I'm about to ask "Will you stay with me tonight...I mean here,next to me,just until I fall asleep?"

"Alex..."

"What is it?" I ask softly with a smile, curious to know what she has to say. "Will you stay with me tonight...I mean here,next to me,just until I fall asleep?"

My mouth falls open in surprise and I quickly close it. Okay, that was so not what I expected her to ask. I know she only wants me to lie next to her but ...wow.

Unable to speak, I quickly lean closer and kiss her briefly on the lips, letting my lips linger for a second before moving back, searching her face.

"Are you sure? I'd love to but ... seriously? I mean, I don't intent to ravish you as soon as you fall asleep but ..." damn, I don't know how to argue against that cause like I said, I'd really love to hold her while she falls asleep.

"... I'll probably fall asleep before you do."

I wait anxiously when he doesn't answer immediately,instead just looks kind of taken aback.May be it's too much to ask of him so soon in our relationship.May be he'll think I'm being clingy or something.

"Are you sure? I'd love to but ... seriously? I mean, I don't intent to ravish you as soon as you fall asleep but ..."

I let out a sigh of relief,"Absolutely sure." I murmur against his lips as we share a brief but very emotion filled kiss "... I'll probably fall asleep before you do."

"That's okay." I reply "As long as I know you're here with me tonight." I shift lower so that my head is on the pillow now and I tug at Alex's arm gently "Oh,I forgot,switch the light off before you get in to bed please."

Shifting in to the middle of the bed to make place for him I wait for him to join me.

"As long as I know you're here with me tonight."

I grin goofily at that. If I fall asleep first, which I probably will, then I'll get to wake up next to her. Life is good! I'm about to get up when Isabel grabs my arm, "Oh,I forgot,switch the light off before you get in to bed please."

"Sure." I say as I get up, "Guess I really should undress now." I comment with a chuckle.

I glance around the room for a moment as I start unbuttoning my shirt and spot an empty chair. Perfect for me to put my clothes on. Walking over to it, I'm taking my shirt off as I reach it and began unfastening my pants. If I weren't so tired, I'd be feeling mighty weird - undressing like this, aware that Isabel is watching my every move. Being tired certainly has its advantages.

When I'm only in my boxers anymore, I switch the light off and head back to the bed. Okay, now I'm getting slightly nervous again - and sleepy! It is a bit weird, getting into a bed next to woman again after so long. But it's weird in a nice way and it's the perfect woman so that's cool.

Turning onto my side so I'm looking at Isabel, I can feel some tension between us. Time to diffuse that tension!

"You know, you still owe me that good night kiss we were talking about." I tell her with a cheeky grin.

Alex gets up to switch the lights off when he says,"Guess I really should undress now."
Hearing that is kind of funny,in a good way I might add.I mean there's no pressure to go any further in our relationship tonight so I can simply enjoy seeing him strip down to the bare minimum and not feel nervous.It's been a long time since I last had a boyfriend,Grant being the last.

And enjoy myself I do,very unashamedly,taking delight in seeing more and more of his body being revealed to me.Alex has got the kind of physique I like for a man to have,lean and muscular.I hate it when guys have big bulging muscles.

As he gets in to bed I turn on to my side so we'd be facing each other,tucking one hand between my head and pillow. "You know, you still owe me that good night kiss we were talking about." Reaching out I wrap my free hand around the back of his head and pull him in for a kiss,rolling on to my back slightly.

I have a second to grin at Isabel before she has her hand behind my head and pulls me slightly on top of her for our good-night-kiss. Putting my weight on one arm, I put the other on Isabel's waist and moan slightly into the kiss. I could definitely get used to this!

I pull her close for brief moment before I break the kiss. "I could get used to this." I comment softly before leaning down to kiss her softly again. Moving away and off of Isabel, I lay down again on *my* side of the bed, still looking at the blonde goddess next to me.

"I guess we should really sleep now."

I smile as I look around as people start leaving. I can only imagine what sweet nothings Kyle whispered in her ear... but who cares right? I mean...its just going to be tonight...

I never ever go out with a girl more than one day unless she's reallllly something special...and even then three days is the limit. And the only way she'll ever see me again is if I'm desperate which practically never happens.

"Well if you don't want my help then..." I say making a big show of picking up my coat, "Maybe I'll leave you to it... I might have to take one of these taxi's though... I'll have to pick up my car tommorow..."

I turn around and smile at her. "Oh well..." I say as I move closer to her. I lean in and murmur, "Well, I'll say goodnight then.... night Liz...." I whisper huskily before kissing her gently and not moving away to see if she really does want me to stay.

Wait a minute. He's volunteering to leave? What happened? I know my confusion must show on my face. "You sure you won't stay? I mean, I could give you the grand tour of the place. It's really a nice house. My mother decorated a lot of it before she died and she had good taste. As for taking one of those taxis, don't worry about it." I move closer to him and say with a seductive smile, "Like I said, you are welcome to stay here tonight."

I escort Tess out to my car, not bothering to wait on the valet. I wave goodnight to Michael and Maria as we pass them and grin down at Tess. "Who woulda thought about those two huh? They sure didn't seem to hit it off very well at the club or the beginning of the night."

We get to my car and I help her inside before walking around and climbing into the driver's seat. Starting up the engine I pull onto the road and head towards the IHOP. We drive in comfortable silence for a few minutes before I ask, "So Tess, what do you do for work? I never got around to asking you that the other night."
