I used to work at a retail store. What I hated the most would be people that came in ten minutes before we closed and than thought it was ok to stay in there for an hour to shop just because they came in BEFORE it was closing time

Ugh, I work in retail now and that's my biggest peeve. It's also up there with people who reply with a dismissive "Just looking thanks" when I ask "How are you going?"
I'm actually legally suppposed to ask that for preventative shop-lifting measures, the least they could reply with is a "Fine, thanks." I hate greeting customers now because of the ten percent that do that. I don't care that they're just looking! Be polite!

when i worked at Jo-Ann fabrics, we had people coming down from Canada all the time and would buy their weights in fabric..times 100, they'd always come in like 1/2 before closing and cutting like 5 bolts of fabrics

Likewise though, I hate walking getting rung up by the person who says nothing to you and just hands you your receipt looking bored and gladly rid of you.
I also hate, hate, HATE when people openly watch you to make sure you're not shoplifting. I don't mind when it's not obvious, because obviously I won't notice it. But there's this
stationery store that my boyfriend and I always go into in this Japanese shopping complex and every single time without fail, the person working in the store watches us like a hawk to make sure we're not taking anything. Japanese customers will come in and not get the same treatment so I always explode at the person and ask if I look like I'm too poor to afford nice stationery and whatnot and buy something just to spite them. And they always look embarrassed when they get caught looking, because at some point I look up and they're staring at me and I just stand in the middle of they aisle with my arms crossed in front of my chest glaring back at them and they actually have the nerve to try to avoid eye contact when I do that.

oh i so agree i work in retail as well.
But what i hate is i work in the kitchen department and the toilets are near there. I walk around that section and i'm standing just a few steps away from the toilet enterance and i still have customers ask where the toilets are/?

UM HELLO SIGNAGE UP ABOVE!! frustrating being asked every minute of the day.

Smokers can say what they want to about how they're treated badly and all of that....but I don't feel sorry for them because they bring everything down on themselves.
Omg I so agree with you, I'm a non smoker and I hate it when ppl blow their smoke in your face. It's horrible. The stench puts me off so much. Plus nearly all my uncles smoke so when I go to my nans, the TV room stinks of ciggars. Urghh....and they don't even have air freshner...
My pet peeves...
Hmmm, I absolutely hate it when people start to play games. I just hate it when I see people trying to compete with each other e.g. like rappers and then start argueing over trivial matters. And the jealousy...oh please

they're like in their adulthood and yet they behave like little school children.
Grow up lol.
Where I live, there's some ppl who like to call themselves Chavs. Ping I think you know what I'm talking about. I can't can't stand Chavs. They are the fake gangsters who run around terrorising ppl in the neighbourhood and trying to act tough wearing second hand tracksuit smelling of ciggars and booze. And the gold is fake too.

Well it's not really the smoke that bothers me....it's when a smoker gets done they think it's ok to just flick their butt on the ground, stomp it with their foot and walk off leaving it laying right there on the ground.

I hate when people talk like they know everything when everything that comes out of their mouth is wrong.
