Chapter 11
The Battle
Max, Isabel, Maria and Tess appeared at the door. “What are you doing here?” Reddeck asked enraged throwing a gulf of fire towards them. Max’s quick reflexes brought his hand up bringing out the water-like green shield to top the fireball. A wave skimmed the shield acknowledging the impact of the fire with the shield. With the shield still up, Maria and Tess ran to untie Liz and Michael. The battle was still in progress. Isabel would throw out small but effective energy balls at them, which were blocked with Reddeck’s own red shield. Tess ran behind the table Liz was on for cover, while Maria hid behind Michael. Michael was released and threw his on energy field hitting Reddeck’s guards from behind. Max looked at Liz behind the table with Tess. He pointed to Isabel to go with Michael and Maria, she nodded and as soon as he dropped the shield she ran to them. Max needed to be by Liz…they had to be together. Max and Reddeck circled around each other like a western showdown. Max stopped when he was in front of the table.
“Liz…come out. Tess it’s fine.” Max assured them. They both popped their heads from behind the table, seeing it was fine the both walked behind Max.
“You’re not leaving till I get the orb and the key!” Reddeck said looking front and back at Max and Michael surrounding him.
“Hey, in case 'you' haven't noticed, 'you’re' the one that isn’t in any position to be giving empty threats!” Michael smirked.
Reddeck stood in an attacking position with red sparks flickering from his hands. “Michael. Watch Isabel and Maria.” Max said also in a fighting position. He held Liz back with one arm around her waist.
“So…you must be the famous Max that flutters Liz’s mind.” Reddeck smiles and blows a kiss to Liz. Repulsed by his action Liz clutches on Max’s arm. “Ah…what’s the matter Liz? Don’t you want to tell your precious king what I did to her Michael? I wonder how he would feel if his trusted second-in-command couldn’t protect his love. Come on Max, I’d love to see what I’m up against when your enraged.”
“You want to fight! Fight 'ME'!” Michael announced sending a trail of energy to Reddeck. Again the shield matched up against Michael’s attempt.
“You stupid child. You don’t have the power nor the skill to challenge me.
You couldn’t even scratch me if you tried.” Reddeck chuckled.
“Well I did more than just scratch you at the club.” Max proudly spoke remembering how Max made the red cloak of Reddeck’s blood cover his face before Michael dragged him out.
“Yes but look what I got instead!” Reddeck looked to his side and suddenly Liz appeared next to him kicking and screaming as Reddeck forced himself on her.
“NO! LIZ! GET OFF HER!” Max cried out running to her rescue but all of a sudden Max was tossed back by the force of impact on the shield.
The toss smashed the wall that broke Max’s fall. Liz ran to help Max, “Max! Look at me, please!” She cried.
“Liz? How’d you…” Max looked at her with confusion, but then looked at Reddeck laughing. He made Max see an illusion…no worse…a nightmare. “No more games!” Max said rising with Liz helping him up. Throwing a beam of light at him, Michael followed his lead and threw his own electrical charge as well. Tess and Isabel stood beside Max and Michael, throwing their own powers into the mix. The combination created a rainbow effect when it reflected off the walls. Reddek stayed secure in a red bubbled-shield the covered him in all directions.
“You can’t over power me. Not as long as they’re here.” Reddeck stated referring to both Liz and Maria. “They’re what makes you weak.”
Liz let out one single tear from her eye and walked to Max. She placed her hand on the hand in which Max was letting the beam flow and miraculously the beam became brighter and thicker. Reddeck’s wall of protection was beginning to crumble it started to flicker sparks. Maria amazed, stepped up and placed her hand on Michael’s causing the same effect. Max and Michael smiled in amazement. Then Max looked at Reddeck’s frightened eyes and grinned, “No. You’re wrong. They make us stronger!” Reddeck’s wall began to disintegrate finally causing him to collapse on the floor. They took their hands’ down slowly and walked out the door with extreme caution. “If you ever come near us again...especially Liz…I’ll kill you myself.” Max said on the foot of the door. Jogging out Max called out “Let’s go”, to Kyle and Alex who had the engines of the jeep and Jetta running, just in case they needed to make a fast getaway. They let Max and Michael take Liz and Maria in the jeep to have some time together to cool off.

“Are you guys ok?” Maria asked concerned at Max and Michael’s silence.
“What happened?” Max asked Michael still unclear of the situation.
“Max, can we just drive home? Please? Let’s save any talking till we get home. I just want to enjoy the drive home with you.” Liz asked helplessly and drained. Max looked at how she lacked of strength and nodded in agreement.

“Let’s go to my place.” Michael suggested.
“No. Let’s go to ours.” Maria proposed. “I just really, really need you to stay with me tonight.” Maria confessed. Michael couldn’t deny her and accepted with a kiss on the forehead. Liz was fast asleep on Max’s shoulder, as uncomfortable as it was to drive Max wouldn’t wake her for the world.

Tess’s House
“You screwed us, G.” Rath said walking slowly.
“I’m sorry. They’re stronger than you mentioned…I…I was just caught off guard.” Reddeck stumbled in his apology.
“Yo, Enough with the excuses. You lucky we don’t kill you right here.” Lonnie demanded rolling her eyes.
“We thought that Michael was the leader…but it’s really Max.” Reddeck
continued to explain.
“Yo, Einstein. Tell us somein’ we don’t know.” Lonnie exclaimed “What/ We surrounded by morons or somein’?”
“They don’t even know you’re here.” Reddeck graveled on his knees.
“Better freakin’ hope they don’t know we here.” Rath pulled him up by the collar. “We ain’t goin’ to have you screw this up for us.”
“Chill, babe.” Lonnie said rubbing Rath’s arm. “He’ll get the key wit the orbs…if not…you gone.” She smiled.
The Girls’ Place
Max sat on the couch with one leg on the seat. Liz sat between him hugging his leg as he rubbed her back. Maria and Michael were sitting across from them at the end of the couch. Michael had both legs on the couch and Maria between them. She was touching the tips of her toes while resting her chin on her knees. “So are we going to talk about what happened?” Maria asked in a low voice. Liz began to cry grabbing on to Max’s leg tighter. “Liz.” Maria let out some tears over her friends pain. “What did he do to you?” Max looked at Michael as soon as Maria reminded him of what Reddeck had told him.
“Did he…?” Max choosing his words carefully he couldn’t ask this with tears casting over his eyes. Liz nodded ‘no’ without hesitation.
“I wouldn’t let anything like that happen to her Max and you know it.” Michael tried to clear Max of any negative thought towards that direction. Michael looked at Liz’s watery eyes and turned his head away, “I couldn’t do anything…and I’m sorry.”
Max looked at him with confusion, “What are you talking about? You kept her out of danger and for that I’m grateful.”
“But I couldn’t stop him…I can’t help thinking ‘What if that was Maria?’ and ‘Should we have gotten rid of him when we had the chance?’ and then I look at Liz and all I could see is that it was happening to her.”
Michael held on to Maria’s hand. “Liz I’m…”
“It’s not your fault Michael. You couldn’t do anything…I couldn’t do anything. Anyways it’s over and what’s important now is what happened when we touched you guys.” Liz tried to change the painful subject.
Max sensed that she was avoiding talking about the issue but didn’t want to push. “I don’t even know how to explain what happened.” Max replied.
“Did you see stuff?” Michael asked shyly.
“What kind of stuff?” Max asked curiously.
“Like couple stuff…I saw Maria and me…” Maria turned and looked at him with tears still moist in her eyes.
“Yes, I saw flashes of Liz and me…did you guys see anything?” Max asked Liz and Maria. They both nodded ‘yes’ and cuddle on them. They stayed quiet for a couple of minutes until they heard the key turning the lock on the door. Isabel, Tess, Alex and Kyle walked in with fake smiles on their faces.
“Sorry we’re late. We just thought that you guys would want some time to sort things out.” Alex informed them.
“From the looks of it, it seems like it’s taken a lot of energy out of them.” Max and Michael looked down and noticed both Liz and Maria asleep on their chest. They both kissed their foreheads and carried them carefully to their rooms. When they returned to the living room, it appeared like a reception after a funeral. Isabel had bags under her eyes and Tess twirling her hair.
“How are they?” Kyle stood up when he saw them, like he’d been waiting for an answer at the hospital waiting room.
“They’re sleeping.” Max looked at their depressing face “You guys want to do something. We don’t have to go out. We could rent some videos, get take-out, anything to lighten the mood.”
“Yeah. That sounds nice.” Tess agreed. “Yeah why don’t you guys go?We’ll stay here in case they wake up.” Isabel proposed. Max, Michael, Alex, and Kyle left the apartment with little happiness. Outside they agreed to let Kyle and Alex get the videos while they get the food.
Senor Chow’s
“Yeah. We called in an order.” Max told the cashier.
“Yeah. Evans right?” He asked. Max nodded and the man went to check on the order. “It would be another five minutes.”
“Thanks.” Michael said grabbing a matchbook from the small black bowl.
“How’s the little miss? It’s been a while since we’ve seen you guys.” The man asked curiously.
“She’s at home.” Max laughed as he thought to himself of the possibility of him and Liz actually being married.
“This is my best friend Michael.” Max introduced him.
“Hi. Mine’s with his.” Michael said uncomfortably. “My…miss…little…never mind.” Michael left embarrassed over what he had just said.
Max laughed and grabbed the brown paper bags the waitress handed him. “Thanks. See you later.” He said as he walked out the door. When he got in the jeep he placed the food in the back seat and turned on the ignition. He had a big smile on his face and turned to say something to Michael.
“Don’t even think about it, Maxwell.” Michael warned. “Just drive.”
Video Store
“Hey, what should we get?” Alex yelled from across the aisle.
“Chick flicks man. Did you see it back there? Total Kleenex tissue moment.” Kyle chuckled.
“I noticed. How about some scary movies to lighten the mood?” Alex said showing him a video. Max and Michael walked in the door and spotted them in the middle of the ‘horror’ aisle.
“You guys ready to go?” Max asked.
“Yeah. Almost.” Alex added.
“How long does it take to pick a video?” Michael asked. Alex and Kyle both looked at each other and laughed.
"Listen and learn Grasshopper. We’re talking about girls here…and not just any girls Maria and Liz…”
“Tess and Isabel.” Alex finished Kyle’s sentence.
“Yeah and you’ve never had to console them through these times. Oh, it’s hell my friend. And you guys will soon know the experience of watching sappy romance movies with a bunch of over emotional girls.” Kyle continued to try and frighten them. Max and Michael just looked at each other.
The Girls’ Place
“NNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!” A loud scream came from Liz’s room. All the girls ran frightened into her room to see Liz tossing and turning in her bed drenched of sweat and tears. “GET OFF ME…MAX…WHERE ARE YOU?” She mumbled. “NNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!” She screamed out this time sitting up shivering.
“Liz…Liz it’s ok we’re here. You had a bad dream.” Maria said rocking her back and forth.
“No! I wasn’t. I was just remembering.” Liz cried hugging Maria again as Tess stood in the door way and Isabel brushed Liz’s hair with her fingers. They took Liz to the bathroom to splash some cold water on her face. Liz looked up and grabbed the towel Tess handed her. “Thanks.”
“Are you okay?” Tess asked frightened. The sound of the guys entering and announcing their presence startled them.
“You can’t tell Max.” Liz pleaded.
“Woah, what are you talking about? Of course we have to tell Max. Did you not see yourself back there?” Maria said angry.
“Please, don’t say anything. Max has been through enough and I don’t want him to hassle over me every time I have a problem, especially not over a stupid dream.” Liz explained.
“Liz, me brother is stronger than he seems. You can’t expect to keep something like this from him.” Isabel said.
“No. Please. Not tonight. I just want to have a quiet night ok. I can’t handle him asking me questions right now. But I will tell him. But please don’t say anything.”
“Fine, as long as you promise to tell him tomorrow.” Maria demanded.
“Ok.” Liz said untruthfully.
Living Room
“Hey. We got food and videos.” Max said with a smile on his face as he kissed Liz. Liz tried to play along which was kind of hard with them staring at her.
“What did you guys get?” Liz asked peeking into the bags. “Senor Chows?!” She asked looking at Max with a big smile on her face. Tess brought out plates to place the fried rice, egg rolls, and fortune cookies.
Alex took the pop that was in the freezer and poured everyone a glass. Maria saw how Tess struggled taking one plate at a time.
“No, no, no. Here let me do it.” Maria demonstrated how skilled she was by carrying two plates on her hands and two others balancing on her lower arm. “Liz come on. Let’s show them how to do it right. I’m telling you guys after I get done training you, you could handle the diner by yourselves.” She rambled as she took the plates to the living room. Kyle popped in a movie from the blue plastic bag and sat down in the couch. Max sat on the recliner and placed his plate on the right armrest as he pushed the seat back to get the footrest. Liz sat between him and placed her plate on the opposite armrest. Michael tossed the Tabasco sauce to Max and he glossed the egg rolls and damped the rice with red sauce. He passed it to Isabel and she passed it to Tess. They watched all the movies until 3 am. Michael and Maria walked to her bedroom quietly avoiding to awake anybody.
“Good night.” Alex called out as he rose from the floor he fell asleep on.
“Good night.” Maria giggled out and Michael replied seriously. Max and Liz awoke from Maria’s giggle, “Where’s Michael?” Max asked rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
Alex pointed to Maria’s closed door that covered the giggles of her voice and Michael’s low toned voice. “Oh.” He smiled. “Can you give me a ride home?” Alex asked. Max nodded but still didn’t move, he didn’t want to wake Liz yet. She was curled into his chest with Max T-shirt on and some shorts.
Max whispered in her ear, “Liz. I’m taking Alex home…I’ll be back…ok?” Max kissed her cheek between each pause. Liz let out a little moan as she stretched out knowing it drove Max crazy when she made little playful noises like that. She got up slowly and Max got up after her pulling her back into a close hug. “I don’t want to go. But I have too.” Max said as he kissed her passionately.
Liz stopped him and looked into his eyes, “Hurry back. Please.” She flirted as she teased little peaks on his lips and hands.
“Hey Evans. You might as well take me home too.” Kyle arose from the couch stretching. Max grinned and grabbed the keys to his jeep that were laying on the counter. He was the last one to leave and didn’t move until he watched Liz go into her bedroom.
Max’s Jeep
“Look Evans. I know we haven’t been the best of friends and…this whole thing with Liz…it’s just weird.” Kyle confessed in the direction of the passenger side window. “I hated you.” Kyle spoke in a shaky voice and Max just stayed quiet, shocked at his words. “You took the one person who really cared about me…not jock Kyle…the real Kyle.”
“Buddha Kyle?” Alex asked to lighten the moment.
“Shut up!” Kyle warned, took a breath and continued his declaration. “Liz is…she’s…you can’t find many people like her. But than you came along and changed everything…our lives.”
“You guys changed my life too.” Max whispered.
“I see Liz completely different now.” Kyle said.
“She’s still the same Kyle.” Max replied.
“No…she’s not…she’s in love.” Max turned his head and looked at Kyle, completely blown away at what Kyle had just said. “And times I’d ask myself what she’d seen in you that she didn’t see with…and I still can’t answer that.”
“Kyle…I…I can’t…” Max stumbled on how to place his words.
“I hated you, Max. You took away the one person who cared about me…and gave me back eight more. You, Liz, Michael, Maria, Tess, Isabel, Alex…my dad…you’re all part of my life now. And I don’t know how I’ll be able to thank you.”
Max smiled and answered, “Your part of our lives too.” Getting a small grin from Kyle.
When the stopped in front of Kyle’s house, Kyle opened thedoor and looked back at Max, “Love her Max and take care of her.” He got out and looked back again, “And if you hurt her…you’ll be answering to me.” He threatened and Max just grinned.
When Max drove off to take Alex home, Alex began to cough for attention, “Seeing that now is the time for confessions. I too seen you as the enemy.”
“How?” Max asked surprised. He understood why Kyle was mad but why Alex.
“Max, you and Michael took my best friends and I do admit I did get a little jealous…but when I see them with you guys…they’re so happy…and totally in love with you guys.” Max finally pulled up in front of Alex’s house, Alex got out and put his hand on the open window, “Just take care of them for me, ok.” Max smiled in agreement and drove off as soon as he saw Alex go inside his house. Being in the area of his house, he took advantage and picked up some clothes and his toothbrush. He swung be Michael’s and picked up the same thing. He placed all the gear inside a duffle bag and tossed it in the back seat of the jeep.
At the entrance of the girls apartment Max felt a huge pain clutching his heart. “Liz?” Max couldn’t explain it but he knew it was her…he sensed her fear…she wasn’t in danger but she was really frightened. When he got to the door he realized that he didn’t bring the keys to the door. He placed his hand over the keyhole and unlocked it.
When he opened the door he heard Liz scream, “NNNNOOOOO! GET OFF ME…MAX, WHERE ARE YOU?!” He ran to her door and at the same time Michael was coming with Maria trailing behind.
“Liz, I’m here!” Max called out to sooth her cry as he rocked her back and forth. Her whimper tore apart his heart.
“I’ll go get some water.” Michael suggested as he went to the kitchen.
“Not again?” Maria asked frightened as her and Tess appeared on the door
“Not again? You mean this happened before?” Max asked angrily.
“Here’s some water.” Michael said handing Max a half-full glass. “What happened before?”
“It’s nothing, really.” Liz said before taking a sip of water.
“Liz what are you talking about. You’re shivering and freezing.” Max said rubbing his hands up and down Liz’s arms for warmth. “And you were screaming so loud, Liz.”
Liz kept shaking her head in denial as if it never happened…Max couldn’t understand it… she was frightened and she still was, it flowed off her body and triggered all his sensors. Isabel walked into the room and saw Max and Liz on the bed cuddled up as he pleaded to her for an answer. Maria was sitting on the window seat with Tess and Michael was leaned over on Liz’s dresser fast asleep.
Isabel backed out of the room and went into hers and leaned on the wall. Grabbing a picture of the group she rubbed her thumb on Michael’s image. Focusing to gain a connection with Michael and not startle him to prevent being detected. ‘Michael!’ She called out subconsciously. She interrupted a fantasy he was having over Maria.
Michael finally sensed Isabel’s presence and answered back. ‘Isabel? What are you doing here?’ He asked embarrassed.
‘I NEED to talk to you…hurry up! But don’t say anything to anyone. I’m in my room.’ And the connection broke. Michael woke up instantly and slipped out of the room quietly.
“Where are you going?” Maria asked as soon as she saw him head out the door.
“I’m going to the bathroom. I’ll be right back.” Michael said walking out slowly.

Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Isabel’s Room
“Close the door.” Isabel whispered. She had the picture in front of her and she told Michael to sit down. Concerned, he sat down on the edge of her bed and she sat in the middle. Isabel was shivering and pale just like Liz.
“What’s wrong?” Michael asked as he looked at her pale complection.
“Michael. Liz had a dream…a nightmare…whatever it was…after you guys left to get the food and videos. She didn’t want to tell us what the dream was about and she was just as scared as she is now. She scared us…her scream…”
“Yeah I heard it.” Michael recalled. “She was calling for Max.”
“She was also yelling for someone to get off her.” Michael nodded in agreement as he remembered her screaming something like that.
“Michael, I dream walked her when she fell asleep again…”
“What did you see?” Michael asked more intrigued.
“It was awful Michael.” Isabel began to cry. “I saw everything…”
“What do you mean by everything?” Michael asked confused.
“I saw…I saw…I can’t describe it…its too terrible and dark…but I think I can show you…” Isabel said wiping the tears from running down her cheek.
“What do you mean show me?” Michael asked more confused.
“I saw Max do it to Liz in one of her visions…let me just try.” Michael nodded a not so sure ‘yes’ and Isabel moved closer to him and placed her hands on both sides of his face, cupping his cheeks. “Focus.” She breathed gently and closed her eyes. Suddenly a sworm of flashes cluttered Michael’s minds on the images from Liz’s mind that Isabel injected mentally into him. He saw images of Liz being shot, the pain and agony of the bullet entering her body and slowly her life slipped away. How Max saved her and how indebted she felt towards him, Max, and Isabel. He saw the flashes of love and passion that she had with Max and the dark and murderous ones she had with Nasedo. Then he saw the whole ordeal about Future Max, her not sleeping with Kyle and the reasons why she lied. Then the flashes got gloomier as he saw her as she saw herself drowning in the drain and how disgusted and frightened she was when Reddeck attacked her. How scared she was for Michael when he walked in her room when they were both kidnapped. Then the final flash took his complete energy that he collapsed on the floor…what Reddeck did to her when he held her down on the examining table. Reddeck was tearing through her mind trying to find the orb and the key…she contained herself on thinking about the orbs by thinking about Max…since she didn’t tell him where they were, he made her feel every pain she felt since she met Max in huge blows…and inserted images of himself killing Max because of her silence.
“Oh my god! Michael!” Maria yelled running to him when shesaw him grasping for air on the floor. “What happened?” she asked helping him up.
“Nothing…I’m fine.” Michael said holding his balance in an upright position avoiding the looks Maria was giving him.
“Don’t tell me ‘nothing’. I saw you Michael and it was not nothing, tell me!” She demanded tearfully at him, angry for him lying to her. Michael never broke his silence, aggravating her even more. Isabel stayed quiet throughout the entire argument. “Fine! Don’t tell me…” she said walking towards the door with her arms crossed but then paused at the doorway, “…but you’re going to tell somebody…MAX!!” she called out.
Liz’s room
Max held Liz in his arms, rocking her back and forth trying to prevent her from crying anymore. He shushed her withsmall peaks on her head and she returned them by small brushes on his neck with her lips. Max’s unuptainable urge to kiss Liz’s soft lips were detained by her decreasing whimpers of her previous cries and realized it wasn’t the time for that. She needed him to hold her and make her feel secure and safe like he’d always done. For some reason she wouldn’t tell him what happened. A nightmare couldn’t fill her with such fear…fear that vibrated off of her body like a loud frequency to his…it was something more. He could only read ‘Don’t leave me…Max…don’t leave…Max’ repeated over and over in her mind and he couldn’t figure out why…why wasn’t she telling him.
“MAX!!” Max and Liz both startled by Maria’s yell got up to find out what was wrong.
Isabel’s room
Max and Liz walked in to find Michael and Maria arguing and Isabel with her arms crossed looking side to side whenever they spoke like a ping-pong game. “What’s going on?” Max asked trying to break up the argument.
“That’s what I’m trying to find out.” Maria said putting one hand at her hip then looked at Max “I found him on the floor…practically swallowing a lung and when I asked him what happened he says ‘nothing’.”
“Stop exaggerating Maria…and Max is not my father…so” Michael was so out of breath that he couldn’t even return a witty remark.
“What happened?” Max asked.
“Nothing.” He said when he saw Liz’s face. He couldn’t violate her like that and it was her place to tell Max not his. Maria still unconvinced was so enraged that she ran to her room, slamming the door.
“I’ll go check on her.” Liz said calmly to both Max and Michael.
“Wait.” Max called out holding on to her hand, he kissed her briefly but intensely discovering her lips again. “Are you ok?” he muttered between their entwined lips. She nodded her head and smiled, kissing him once more then running to Maria’s room.
“How is she?” Isabel said finally speaking from all the debate.
“I don’t know. She won’t tell me and I don’t know why.” Max said sounding like he was holding back tears.
“We know.” Isabel said sadly.
“What?” Max asked confused.
“Max…before you say anything we had no idea what you have been through. I mean with Liz and everything that happened with you guys.” She confessed.
“Thank you. But where is this coming from?” Max asked perplexed.
“Max, Liz is…she’s hurting Max.” Michael began to explain since the confusing look still didn’t fall off of Max’s face.
“When me and Liz were kidnapped…Reddeck did something to her.” Hearing this turned Max’s facial expression from confusion to despair.
“What did he do?” He asked hurtfully bringing all the emotions of guilt he had on not finding her quick enough.
“I don’t know.” Michael said disappointed. “It’s kind of like what you did when you wanted Liz to see images of you.”
Max looked up suddenly. “How did you know that?” he asked amazed.
“I dreamed walked her.” Isabel confessed soon beginning to cry. “And I had no idea that what happened in the past would be hurting her.” She ran to Max and hugged him.
“What’s wrong? What’s happening to Liz?” Max asked with a broken up voice as his eyes filled up with tears but releasing not one tear drop.
“I’ll show you.” Isabel said placing her hands on each side of Max’s face like she did with Michael. Max closed his eyes and suddenly images flashed into his head. The same images Michael had but with additional ones. Images of Max being taken away from Liz, and him being killed. Images of Reddeck telling her that she killed him. When Max snapped out of the hypnotizing images his reactions were similar to Michael’s. Suddenly Liz ran into the room, seeing Max on the floor, she ran to him.
“Max! What happened? Are you ok?” She asked trying to get a connection between their eyes. Tears ran down his face when he finally looked up, making Liz releasing tears of her own. “Max?”
“Liz.” Max grasped emotionally.
Liz looked on how Isabel was being consoled by Michael. “Michael. Can you help me take him to my room?” she asked wiping her tears. Michael nodded and Max grabbed a hold of his hand and hoisted himself up. Liz wrapped one arm around his waist and had one of his arms around her neck and shoulder. Michael carrying most of Max weight whispered something to Max and left them in her room as Max laid on her bed.
Liz’s room
Liz thanked Michael and closed the door behind him. When she turned around, Max was pale and disoriented, practically as bad as she looked not so long ago. She sat behind him and he turned over to look at her. “Liz. Why didn’t you tell me about your nightmares?” Liz looked down and bit her lip not sure if she should tell him or not but then she looked into his brown soulful eyes and wanted to confess every secret she had.
“Max…I didn’t tell you because when I’m with you…when I’m with you I forget everything.” She admitted.
“Liz, tell me.” He asked pulling her down on him. She laid completely down and began to rub her hand on his abs. “Please.” He pleaded.
“I have flashes.” Liz finally spoke.
“Flashes? Like we have?” He asked brushing his fingers through her hair.
“No. With you it’s different…it doesn’t hurt. “ She suddenly began to cry. “Max…it hurts so much.” Max held her tight to him as she continued to speak. “They’re like flashes…but I feel everything worse than I did at that moment. Like the pain magnified.”
“I know Liz. I felt it too.” Max said, “Liz I felt everything like it was happening over and over.”
“Max, Reddeck did something to me…I don’t know what he did to me, but I keep having them when I go to sleep. Max they hurt so much. I can’t stop them.”
Max shushed her worries away promising to her, “I’ll get him Liz. I promise.” She cuddled close to him believing every word that escaped his mouth. Max pulled her shin up so a connection would occurred through they’re eyes, “Liz…I’m sorry. If it wasn’t for me…you wouldn’t be going through this…”
“No Max! I’m not going through this because of you…I’m going through this WITH you.” All the commotion must have been keeping Maria and Michael up because Michael went to the living room and turned on the radio, then walked back to Maria’s room.

“Yo Rath, peep this.” Lonnie called out pointing to Reddeck sitting Indian style on a wooden crate, to where Reddeck was meditating.
Rath saw him and walked over to him angrily, “Yo, Red. You ain’t here to snooze.” Reddeck toppled over to the floor from the push Rath gave him.
“I wasn’t sleeping.” Reddeck answered picking himself up and dusting himself off. “I was meditating.”
“Who cares?” Lonnie said bluntly. “Do you know what I found this morning? Na, btetter yet, you know what I didn’t find…the orbs and key that you promised us! You’re weaker than I thought, especially against some chic.”
“She’s stronger than I thought, but the other human one is starting to feel the side effects as well.” Reddeck stuttered. “But what about the other two?”
“Yo did you get dropped on the head as a child. The others stay out…we’re messin’ wit humans only.” Lonnie reminded him.
“To tell you the truth, we don’t have any of the stuff we asked you for and I’m asking myself…’What do we need this loser for?’…” Rath recalled.
Lonnie smiled and walked over to him and invoked into a lip smacking bliss with him. He turned his head slightly and watched how Lonnie released a purple beam to Reddeck’s direction. The beam tossed Reddeck up and threw him across the room, imprinting his body outline on the wall he slammed into. Lonnie and Rath laughed at the vision of Reddeck’s motionless body on the floor and walked passed him. “You OC babe.” Rath grinned.
“Let’s go. We got things to do.” Lonnie said as they exited the house.
Isabel’s Room
“Close the door.” Isabel whispered. She had the picture in front of her and she told Michael to sit down. Concerned, he sat down on the edge of her bed and she sat in the middle. Isabel was shivering and pale just like Liz.
“What’s wrong?” Michael asked as he looked at her pale complection.
“Michael. Liz had a dream…a nightmare…whatever it was…after you guys left to get the food and videos. She didn’t want to tell us what the dream was about and she was just as scared as she is now. She scared us…her scream…”
“Yeah I heard it.” Michael recalled. “She was calling for Max.”
“She was also yelling for someone to get off her.” Michael nodded in agreement as he remembered her screaming something like that.
“Michael, I dream walked her when she fell asleep again…”
“What did you see?” Michael asked more intrigued.
“It was awful Michael.” Isabel began to cry. “I saw everything…”
“What do you mean by everything?” Michael asked confused.
“I saw…I saw…I can’t describe it…its too terrible and dark…but I think I can show you…” Isabel said wiping the tears from running down her cheek.
“What do you mean show me?” Michael asked more confused.
“I saw Max do it to Liz in one of her visions…let me just try.” Michael nodded a not so sure ‘yes’ and Isabel moved closer to him and placed her hands on both sides of his face, cupping his cheeks. “Focus.” She breathed gently and closed her eyes. Suddenly a sworm of flashes cluttered Michael’s minds on the images from Liz’s mind that Isabel injected mentally into him. He saw images of Liz being shot, the pain and agony of the bullet entering her body and slowly her life slipped away. How Max saved her and how indebted she felt towards him, Max, and Isabel. He saw the flashes of love and passion that she had with Max and the dark and murderous ones she had with Nasedo. Then he saw the whole ordeal about Future Max, her not sleeping with Kyle and the reasons why she lied. Then the flashes got gloomier as he saw her as she saw herself drowning in the drain and how disgusted and frightened she was when Reddeck attacked her. How scared she was for Michael when he walked in her room when they were both kidnapped. Then the final flash took his complete energy that he collapsed on the floor…what Reddeck did to her when he held her down on the examining table. Reddeck was tearing through her mind trying to find the orb and the key…she contained herself on thinking about the orbs by thinking about Max…since she didn’t tell him where they were, he made her feel every pain she felt since she met Max in huge blows…and inserted images of himself killing Max because of her silence.
“Oh my god! Michael!” Maria yelled running to him when shesaw him grasping for air on the floor. “What happened?” she asked helping him up.
“Nothing…I’m fine.” Michael said holding his balance in an upright position avoiding the looks Maria was giving him.
“Don’t tell me ‘nothing’. I saw you Michael and it was not nothing, tell me!” She demanded tearfully at him, angry for him lying to her. Michael never broke his silence, aggravating her even more. Isabel stayed quiet throughout the entire argument. “Fine! Don’t tell me…” she said walking towards the door with her arms crossed but then paused at the doorway, “…but you’re going to tell somebody…MAX!!” she called out.

Max held Liz in his arms, rocking her back and forth trying to prevent her from crying anymore. He shushed her withsmall peaks on her head and she returned them by small brushes on his neck with her lips. Max’s unuptainable urge to kiss Liz’s soft lips were detained by her decreasing whimpers of her previous cries and realized it wasn’t the time for that. She needed him to hold her and make her feel secure and safe like he’d always done. For some reason she wouldn’t tell him what happened. A nightmare couldn’t fill her with such fear…fear that vibrated off of her body like a loud frequency to his…it was something more. He could only read ‘Don’t leave me…Max…don’t leave…Max’ repeated over and over in her mind and he couldn’t figure out why…why wasn’t she telling him.
“MAX!!” Max and Liz both startled by Maria’s yell got up to find out what was wrong.
Isabel’s room
Max and Liz walked in to find Michael and Maria arguing and Isabel with her arms crossed looking side to side whenever they spoke like a ping-pong game. “What’s going on?” Max asked trying to break up the argument.
“That’s what I’m trying to find out.” Maria said putting one hand at her hip then looked at Max “I found him on the floor…practically swallowing a lung and when I asked him what happened he says ‘nothing’.”
“Stop exaggerating Maria…and Max is not my father…so” Michael was so out of breath that he couldn’t even return a witty remark.
“What happened?” Max asked.
“Nothing.” He said when he saw Liz’s face. He couldn’t violate her like that and it was her place to tell Max not his. Maria still unconvinced was so enraged that she ran to her room, slamming the door.

Sorry it took so long for the update. I caught a case of writers block and know I have the flu. Anyways, I think I got my mojo back.
Chapter 13
Tess’s House
“Let’s go. We got things to do.” Lonnie commanded. Rath looked one last moment at Reddeck’s motionless body and followed Lonnie out of the house, driving off in the vehicle they had stolen in New York before arriving in New Mexico. As they left, a man in a suit came out from hiding in the side of the house and slowly crept into the house.
“Reddeck?” He called out.
“Uh.” Reddeck muttered weakly.
“Reddeck!” The man exclaimed in shock, kneeling by him, and examined his body that had been completely beaten into a bloody pulp. “What happened?” He asked holding his head on his lap.
“Dema, where are the other PR-17’s?” Reddeck asked in pain.
“Gone. Vilandra and Rath destroyed them. I was able to get away.” Dema answered, noticing Reddeck had trouble breathing.
“They betrayed us…you know what to…” And before he could finish Reddeck stopped breathing and his body drooped in Dema’s arms.
“Reddeck?” Dema called out, but then suddenly, Reddecks body decayed into a pile of dust. “I know what to do.” Dema spoke aloud in a vengeful tone and ran out the house.
West Roswell High School
School parking lot
The bell had just rung to commence 1st period, but Max and Michael had been held back with Liz and Maria, who were walking sluggishly. Max and Michael were both concerned that their sudden illness had something to do with Reddeck. When they reached the middle of the parking lot, they spotted Isabel and Alex pulling up in Alex’s car.
“Hey, there you guys are?” Alex announced as he saw both Max and Michael with their arms around Liz and Maria, who were pale and barely mobile. “Wow, what happen to you guys?”
“Their sick.” Max answered as he helped Liz sit down on the hood of Alex’s car.
“Everything’s spinning.” Maria whined holding her head. “And the noise…”
“How long have they been like this?” Isabel asked concerned, thinking they looked just the way Michael did when he got sick.
“Since last night.” Max answered. “I thought at first that Liz was sick because of what Reddeck did to her, but now Maria’s sick.”
“Why don’t you take them home?” Isabel asked.
“Yeah, were are. Just wanted them to eat something first.” Michael replied but then both Liz and Maria turned to the side and began to vomit in pain. Max and Michael quickly held back their hair and rubbed their backs for comfort.
“Don’t it the meatloaf.” Alex announced to the horrified on lookers.
“Maxwell, we got to do something.” Michael advised in a panic.
“Come on let’s take them home and then we’ll figure out what to do.” Max ordered, helping Liz up and headed for his jeep with Michael following closely behind.
The Jeep
“Maxwell, they’re not looking too hot.” Michael stated worried.
“We’re almost there.” Max said with his arm around a drowsy Liz.
The Girl’s Apartment
Max and Michael carried the girls in the apartment and found Dema sitting in the living room. “Who the hell are you?” Max asked lowering Liz, so she could stand on her feet but still lean on him for support, and raising his hand ready to use his powers.
“I know why they’re sick.” Dema replied bluntly.
“You did this to them?” Michael asked lowering Maria so he could raise his hand as well.
“I just followed orders.” Dema answered indifferently.
“Orders? From who?” Max questioned
“From Vilandra and Rath.” Dema answered. “It was they that ordered us to capture the four females and hold them in the water drain.”
“Why?” Max asked.
“We don’t have time for silly kiddy interrogations. They’re dieing.” He educated them as he walked over to them and helped them sit on the couch.
“What’s wrong with them?” Max asked desperately.
“They’re infected with the Gandarium from the drain they were taken to. It’s a deadly alien virus.” He answered without emotion.
“How can we stop it?” Michael questioned after a moment of shock.
“There is one way.” Dema informed them as he walk to the front of the room and then turned to look at them who were awaiting anxiously for his answer. “But before I tell you, you must do something for me.”
“What?” Michael exclaimed, as he stood up outraged. “They’re dieing and you know how to stop it.”
“And you’re wasting time on summaries.” Dema snapped back.
“What do you want?” Max asked dejectedly.
“I want the key and the orbs.” Dema commanded.
“How many times do we have to tell you guys we don’t…”
“The orbs and the pendent in exchange for your girlfriends lives or we can skip that ‘I don’t know’ scenario and you can tell me where the Granilith is so I can go home.” Dema demanded interrupting Michael. Max and Michael exchanged skeptical looks at each other and then looked down at Liz and Maria, who were sweating profusely.
“First you heal them and then we take you to the Granilith.” Max answered.
“I heal one. You take me to the Granilith and then I’ll heal the other.” Dema replied.
“No way. You heal them both or you don’t walk out of here alive.” Michael threatened.
“Then they die as well.” Dema reminded, pointing to Maria and Liz.
“Hey!” Max yelled getting both their attention. “We give you the pendant and you heal them both after that we take you to where the orbs are.” Dema turned to consider the new ultimatum and then turn to face them with his decision.
“Very well.” Dema answered, pulling a insulin vile from his pocket and walked over to Maria.
“How do we know that’s gonna help them?” Max asked paranoid.
“You don’t.” Dema answered as he injecting Maria first then Liz. “The anti-virus will commence in a few minutes.” Max took off the pendent that Liz had around her neck and tossed it to Dema. Dema walked to the kitchen and began to examine the pendent with a corrupt smile stretched across his face.
“Max, you’re seriously not gonna give him the orbs, are you?” Michael whispered seeing Dema preoccupied with admiring the pendent.
“We have no choice.” Max whispered back.
“Yes. We do.” Michael answered. Max knew what Michael was insinuating and knew he was right, they had no other choice but to kill Dema.
“Max?” Liz whimpered as she struggled to get up.
“Liz? I’m right here.” Max replied relieved to see the anti-virus working. “You’re okay now.”
“What happened?” Maria asked as she started to come around as well.
“You guys were sick. But you’re okay now.” Michael answered brushing back Maria’s sweated hair.
“Yes, they are.” Dema said returning to the living room. “And now for the orbs.”
“What’s going on?” Liz asked.
“It’s aright.” Max said smoothing her hair back and then standing to face Dema. “We buried them in the woods.”
“Then let’s go to the woods.” Dema ordered.
Frasier Woods
“Maxwell, if we’re going to do something we have to do it now.” Michael whispered as the four of them walked closely together as Dema walked behind them. Max nodded knowing he couldn’t put off the enevitable. They had been walking ten minutes straight into the woods and knew Dema was getting impatient. Michael took Max’s nod as a signal and loosened his hand to be ready to attack as Max was doing the same to throw up his shield. “Get behind us.” Michael whispered to Maria without looking at her.
“What?” Maria asked not hearing him at first but just as Michael was repeating himself, Vilandra and Rath appeared out of no where.
“Hey, were you think your goin’?” Lonnie asked as she twirled the short ends of her hair while Rath cracked his knuckles and then blasted Dema, slamming him into a tree and then kept his hand up to hold Max, Michael, Liz and Maria where they were standing. “Nice.” Lonnie praised before heading over to Dema’s hurt body, spotting the pendent hanging around his neck. “I see you got my property.” Lonnie said ripping the pendent off him.
“Sweet.” Rath said quickly glancing over his shoulder to seeing Lonnie swinging the pendent. Lonnie’s attention was then back on Dema who was laughing insanely.
“What’s so funny?” Lonnie asked.
“I’ve been waiting for you two. I have a message from Reddeck.” Dema declared with an expecting smile that outstretched his face and then he quickly tossed something from his pocket in between all of them and then suddenly it exploded, knocking everyone on their backs. Dema’s evil laugh began to get louder and louder, until he saw everyone regaining them selves. Dema watched as they all sat up and stared at their hands and body mystified. “It’s called Sava. It’s electric jolt we use in Antar to train when we take over a vessel. It’s rather interesting might I say. The first few minutes are paralyzing as your body recovers from the charge. It’s an excellent way to learn how to possess one’s body and see if you can pass off as that person incase something unexpected happened. Reddeck sends it with love.” Dema said before running off seeing the effects were warring off.
“Max?” Liz called out, but then saw her body sitting by Max and saw that she was curled underneath Michael’s arms.
“Maria!” Liz saw Max calling out to her as he walked to her. Liz looked up at him bewildered wondering why he was calling her Maria. “Maria, what’s wrong?"
"Max?" Liz heared herself ask.
"It’s me Michael.” Liz heard Max’s body speak.
“I’m not Maria. I’m Liz.”
Just so you know Liz is in Maria’s body. Maria is in Lonnie’s and Lonnie is in Liz’s. Max is in Rath’s body. Michael is in Max’s and Rath is in Michael’s. To avoid confusion I’ll write it this way.

Tess’s House
“Let’s go. We got things to do.” Lonnie commanded. Rath looked one last moment at Reddeck’s motionless body and followed Lonnie out of the house, driving off in the vehicle they had stolen in New York before arriving in New Mexico. As they left, a man in a suit came out from hiding in the side of the house and slowly crept into the house.
“Reddeck?” He called out.
“Uh.” Reddeck muttered weakly.
“Reddeck!” The man exclaimed in shock, kneeling by him, and examined his body that had been completely beaten into a bloody pulp. “What happened?” He asked holding his head on his lap.
“Dema, where are the other PR-17’s?” Reddeck asked in pain.
“Gone. Vilandra and Rath destroyed them. I was able to get away.” Dema answered, noticing Reddeck had trouble breathing.
“They betrayed us…you know what to…” And before he could finish Reddeck stopped breathing and his body drooped in Dema’s arms.
“Reddeck?” Dema called out, but then suddenly, Reddecks body decayed into a pile of dust. “I know what to do.” Dema spoke aloud in a vengeful tone and ran out the house.
West Roswell High School
School parking lot
The bell had just rung to commence 1st period, but Max and Michael had been held back with Liz and Maria, who were walking sluggishly. Max and Michael were both concerned that their sudden illness had something to do with Reddeck. When they reached the middle of the parking lot, they spotted Isabel and Alex pulling up in Alex’s car.
“Hey, there you guys are?” Alex announced as he saw both Max and Michael with their arms around Liz and Maria, who were pale and barely mobile. “Wow, what happen to you guys?”
“Their sick.” Max answered as he helped Liz sit down on the hood of Alex’s car.
“Everything’s spinning.” Maria whined holding her head. “And the noise…”
“How long have they been like this?” Isabel asked concerned, thinking they looked just the way Michael did when he got sick.
“Since last night.” Max answered. “I thought at first that Liz was sick because of what Reddeck did to her, but now Maria’s sick.”
“Why don’t you take them home?” Isabel asked.
“Yeah, were are. Just wanted them to eat something first.” Michael replied but then both Liz and Maria turned to the side and began to vomit in pain. Max and Michael quickly held back their hair and rubbed their backs for comfort.
“Don’t it the meatloaf.” Alex announced to the horrified on lookers.
“Maxwell, we got to do something.” Michael advised in a panic.
“Come on let’s take them home and then we’ll figure out what to do.” Max ordered, helping Liz up and headed for his jeep with Michael following closely behind.
The Jeep
“Maxwell, they’re not looking too hot.” Michael stated worried.
“We’re almost there.” Max said with his arm around a drowsy Liz.
The Girl’s Apartment
Max and Michael carried the girls in the apartment and found Dema sitting in the living room. “Who the hell are you?” Max asked lowering Liz, so she could stand on her feet but still lean on him for support, and raising his hand ready to use his powers.
“I know why they’re sick.” Dema replied bluntly.
“You did this to them?” Michael asked lowering Maria so he could raise his hand as well.
“I just followed orders.” Dema answered indifferently.
“Orders? From who?” Max questioned
“From Vilandra and Rath.” Dema answered. “It was they that ordered us to capture the four females and hold them in the water drain.”
“Why?” Max asked.
“We don’t have time for silly kiddy interrogations. They’re dieing.” He educated them as he walked over to them and helped them sit on the couch.
“What’s wrong with them?” Max asked desperately.
“They’re infected with the Gandarium from the drain they were taken to. It’s a deadly alien virus.” He answered without emotion.
“How can we stop it?” Michael questioned after a moment of shock.
“There is one way.” Dema informed them as he walk to the front of the room and then turned to look at them who were awaiting anxiously for his answer. “But before I tell you, you must do something for me.”
“What?” Michael exclaimed, as he stood up outraged. “They’re dieing and you know how to stop it.”
“And you’re wasting time on summaries.” Dema snapped back.
“What do you want?” Max asked dejectedly.
“I want the key and the orbs.” Dema commanded.
“How many times do we have to tell you guys we don’t…”
“The orbs and the pendent in exchange for your girlfriends lives or we can skip that ‘I don’t know’ scenario and you can tell me where the Granilith is so I can go home.” Dema demanded interrupting Michael. Max and Michael exchanged skeptical looks at each other and then looked down at Liz and Maria, who were sweating profusely.
“First you heal them and then we take you to the Granilith.” Max answered.
“I heal one. You take me to the Granilith and then I’ll heal the other.” Dema replied.
“No way. You heal them both or you don’t walk out of here alive.” Michael threatened.
“Then they die as well.” Dema reminded, pointing to Maria and Liz.
“Hey!” Max yelled getting both their attention. “We give you the pendant and you heal them both after that we take you to where the orbs are.” Dema turned to consider the new ultimatum and then turn to face them with his decision.
“Very well.” Dema answered, pulling a insulin vile from his pocket and walked over to Maria.
“How do we know that’s gonna help them?” Max asked paranoid.
“You don’t.” Dema answered as he injecting Maria first then Liz. “The anti-virus will commence in a few minutes.” Max took off the pendent that Liz had around her neck and tossed it to Dema. Dema walked to the kitchen and began to examine the pendent with a corrupt smile stretched across his face.
“Max, you’re seriously not gonna give him the orbs, are you?” Michael whispered seeing Dema preoccupied with admiring the pendent.

Just so you know Liz is in Maria’s body. Maria is in Lonnie’s and Lonnie is in Liz’s. Max is in Rath’s body. Michael is in Max’s and Rath is in Michael’s. To avoid confusion I’ll write it this way.

Max/Rath: He switched our bodies.
Just as Max/Rath said that, Lonnie/Liz and Rath Michael went running off.
Michael/Max: Hey they’re leaving with our bodies.
Liz/Maria: What are we going to do?
Max/Rath: Their going to come to us.
Michael/Max: Oh, yeah? How do you figure? Right now they’re making their way back to New York with not only my body but with Liz’s.
Max/Rath: No they won’t. Look.
Max/Rath pointed to Maria/Lonnie’s pocket, which had a piece of string hanging out. When Maria/Lonnie dug in her pocket, she pulled out the pendent.
Max/Rath: They’ll be coming back for it.
Maria/Lonnie: So what do we do in the meantime?
Max/Michael: Let’s go to UFO Center. That’s where they found us the first time.

Upstairs Office
Maria/Lonnie: Man it’s so dusty in here.
Maria/Lonnie said covering her nose with her hand as she sat on the small file cabinet that’s by the door that Michael/Max was leaning on. Liz/Maria and Max/Rath sat on the long gray counter top that was under a large interrogation mirror. The vibe in the room was very dark, since it was the same room that they were waiting at the day that Max was interrogating Agent Pierce, and it just gave Liz the chills so she cuddled up next to Max/Rath.
Maria/Lonnie: Hey, Gidget. That’s my body, so there will be no sucking face with Moon Doggie.
Just as Maria/Lonnie said that, the glass of the clock that was on the wall exploded causing everyone to cover them selves. When they sensed the worse was over they all looked at Michael. Everyone new that when it dealt with spontaneous powers that were cause of jealousy they came from Michael.
Michael/Max: Yeah, knock it off.
Maria/Lonnie: Whoa, Space Boy, calm down. It’s not like it’s me-me.
Michael/Max: Still. It’s making my powers go crazy.
Just then Max’s cell phone started to ring. Instinctively Max/Rath patted his pockets to find his phone, but then remembered he wasn’t in his body. Michael/Max dug in his pocket and pulled out the cell phone and read ‘Liz’ on the screen.
Michael/Max: Hello?
Lonnie/Liz: I want the King.
Michael/Max tossed the phone to Max/Rath.
Max/Rath: Hello?
Lonnie/Liz: Yo, just callin’ to let you know I’m havin’ a killer time wit’ your little girlfriends body.
Max/Rath: Don’t do anything stupid.
Lonnie/Liz: I wasn’t thinkin’ 'stupid'. I was thinkin’ more of sexual. Your chic is a virgin right? Oh, the fun that I’m gonna have. Who should I do first? Maybe I should do Rath over here in your boy’s body and videotape it. That way you guys can savor the moment.
Max/Rath: If you do anything to her, I swear to God, I’ll kill you myself.
Lonnie/Liz: Harsh words. But I know you won’t hurt me as long as I’m in this body.
Max/Rath: You want the orbs and the pendent. We have them.
Lonnie/Liz: Hey, I’m not so sure I want to be giving this body up so fast. Especially with Rath violating it. Ask him yourself.
Rath/Michael: Yo, Duke. Your lady’s got a slammin’ body. Last time I saw her I only got to kick it wit’ her, but now I’m gonna enjoy doin’ her. It’s been a while since I had a V.
Max/Rath: We’re in the UFO Center when you want to trade.
Max/Rath said enraged with clenched teeth and fists.
Liz/Maria: What happened?
Max/Rath: It’s up to them know.
Maria/Lonnie: How are we even sure that they’ll…ah…AH…AH CHOO!
Maria/Lonnie jerked forward as she sneezed and at the same time the long see through mirror shattered.
Michael/Max: I didn’t do that.
Maria/Lonnie: I think I did.
Michael/Max: What?
Liz/Maria: Oh, my God. You have Lonnie’s powers.
Max/Rath: Is that even possible?
Liz/Maria: You guys body were created to have these powers and evolve as you changed, but I still have my mental connection with you, Max. That’s how I knew that when you where coming to me you weren’t really you.
Maria/Lonnie: Okay, Alien 101 for us.
Liz/Maria: If Isabel were to change bodies with me, she’d be still able to dream walk because it’s a mental power. That explains why Michael can’t control his powers.
Maria/Lonnie: So if that means I have Lonnie’s powers…
Michael/Max: It means Lonnie doesn’t have any powers, so it’s three against one. Five against one if we go get Isabel and Tess.
Liz/Maria: I think it’s like three against a half. Michael you haven’t really developed you powers yet so I think your physically evolvement is going to slow down Rath.
Michael/Max: I’m gonna try and take that as a compliment.
Max/Rath: Michael, if you’re in my body you have to learn how to control the shield. We might need it.
Maria/Lonnie: You guys are getting all attack mode but we don’t even know where Lonnie and Rath are.
Max/Rath: When they find out they have no powers they’ll be looking for us.

“Where is everyone?” Tess asked sitting down noticing Isabel was eating lunch by herself.
“Oh, Alex had a emergency meeting with the guys from his band and Max and Michael took Liz and Maria back to our place because they weren’t feeling good. I was going to go there straight after 7th period to see how they were doing.” Isabel explained.
“Do you know what they have?” Tess asked concerned.
“Maybe the flu?” Isabel answered and then heard the ringer of her phone go off. “It’s Max.” She announced to Tess and picked up. “Hello?”
‘Isabel, it’s me. Max.’
“Max? Why do you sound like Michael?” Isabel asked.
‘It’s complicated. I need you to cut class and come to the UFO Center.’
“Alright, Michael. Put Max on.”
‘Isabel I’m telling you it’s me.’
“Max would have never suggested that I cut school…”
‘Damn it, Isabel. This is serious. Go to the UFO Center and bring Tess with you.’
“Wait, wha…” and before Isabel could finish Max had hanged up his phone. “Well, that was strange.” Isabel said hanging up her cell phone and then placing it on the table.
“What is it?” Tess asked interested.
“Michael, he said I have to go to the UFO Center and bring you with me.” Isabel answered. “He sounded really strange.”
“Well, let’s go.” Tess suggested as she stood up. Isabel nodded scrapping her food and then followed Tess.
UFO Center
“Michael is going to get arrested for breaking in to this place again.” Isabel commented as she placed her hand over the lock to unlock it.
“When does this place open?” Tess asked.
“Four. Max’s boss thinks this place is more spookier when people see it at night.” Isabel explained as she rolled her eyes in annoyance as the walked down the stairs and stopped in front of the information booth and looked both ways to see if they spotted either Max or Michael. “Michael? Max?” Isabel called out.
Michael/ Max: Isabel, over here.
“Max, what’s going on? Where’s Michael?” Isabel asked as she walked closer to Max.
Michael/ Max: Something happened. Rath and Lonnie are back and they did something to me, Max, Maria and Liz.

Tess and Isabel went in first and then Michael closing the door behind them. Both Tess and Isabel froze when they saw Lonnie and Rath sitting in the office. “Oh, my God. It’s a trap. You two are shape shifters.” Isabel said pointing to Michael/Max and Liz/Maria.
Michael/ Max: I told you they would freak.
Max/Rath: Shut up, Michael.
“Michael?” Isabel repeated as her and Tess held on to each other.
Max/Rath: Isabel, it’s me Max. I know it’s hard to believe. But it is. The last time the four of us saw you we were in the school parking lot and Liz and Maria threw up so we took them home. Some guy was waiting for us at you guys’ apartment and cured Liz and Maria of the alien disease they had in exchange for the pendent and orbs.
Liz/Maria: We took him to Frasier Woods and Lonnie and Rath ambushed us. But turns out that the alien guy was working for Reddeck and was really waiting for Lonnie and Rath, he was just using us as bait.
Michael/ Max: Long story short. Houdini switched our bodies and now I’m forced to live all of eternity looking like Max after it took me months to grow out my hair.
Maria/Lonnie: Thank God.
Michael/ Max: I wouldn’t be talking, when you were one hair cut away from being Sinead O’Connor.
Maria/Lonnie: Oh, your going to regret ever saying that.
Max/Rath: What are you two complaining about? I’m the one sitting here covered in tattoos and piercing. My dad is going to kill me.

“Yeah, switched bodies, got the memo. So what are we doing here?” Isabel asked.
Max/Rath: We’re waiting for Lonnie and Rath to come back with Liz’s and Michael’s bodies in exchange for the pendent.
“Wow, this is way better than ‘Young and the Restless’.” Tess chuckled cupping her face taken back by the overwhelming events.
“Question. How are you sure their going to come back?” Isabel asked.
Liz/Maria: Because as long as Lonnie’s in my body, she doesn’t have any powers.
“Oh. Well…good. Good to see you guys have a plan.” Isabel said sitting down by Liz/Maria.
Outside Tess’s House
Rath/Michael and Lonnie/Liz are hiding in their car looking out for Dema.
Rath/ Michael: Look there he is. [Rath/Michael is pointing to Dema who was walking cautiously back into Tess’s house.]
Lonnie/Liz: I knew that loser would come back here. Let’s go.
Inside the Tess’s House
“I knew I felt someone following me.” Dema said standing in the middle of the room fearlessly.

Rath/ Michael: Hey, Flake. I’m still an alien. [Rath/Michael tries to use his power on Dema but ends up destroying the chair that was behind Dema.
“And not a very good one at that.” Dema laughs wickedly and sends Rath/Michael flying back to where Lonnie/Liz was. Dema watched as Rath/Michael got back up again slowly, but quicker than Lonnie/Liz, and attempted to use his powers again, this time nailing Dema.
Rath/ Michael: Bullseye! Got ‘em, babe. [Helps Lonnie/Liz up and they go to see Dema’s motionless body. Lonnie/Liz bend’s down and presses on Dema’s neck for a pulse.
Lonnie/Liz: You popped him you moron!
Rath/ Michael: He’s dead!?!
Lonnie/Liz: Yo, did I stutter. [Lonnie yelled standing up and punched Rath/Michael in the face breaking her hand in the processes.] Son of a…
Rath/ Michael: Aww…
Lonnie/Liz: Shut it. You just popped the only person who knows how to switch us, you idiot. Now we have no choice but to cut a deal with the Cornballs.
Rath/ Michael: Big words coming from a human.

“Where is everyone?” Tess asked sitting down noticing Isabel was eating lunch by herself.
“Oh, Alex had a emergency meeting with the guys from his band and Max and Michael took Liz and Maria back to our place because they weren’t feeling good. I was going to go there straight after 7th period to see how they were doing.” Isabel explained.
“Do you know what they have?” Tess asked concerned.
“Maybe the flu?” Isabel answered and then heard the ringer of her phone go off. “It’s Max.” She announced to Tess and picked up. “Hello?”
‘Isabel, it’s me. Max.’
“Max? Why do you sound like Michael?” Isabel asked.
‘It’s complicated. I need you to cut class and come to the UFO Center.’
“Alright, Michael. Put Max on.”
‘Isabel I’m telling you it’s me.’
“Max would have never suggested that I cut school…”
‘Damn it, Isabel. This is serious. Go to the UFO Center and bring Tess with you.’
“Wait, wha…” and before Isabel could finish Max had hanged up his phone. “Well, that was strange.” Isabel said hanging up her cell phone and then placing it on the table.
“What is it?” Tess asked interested.
“Michael, he said I have to go to the UFO Center and bring you with me.” Isabel answered. “He sounded really strange.”
“Well, let’s go.” Tess suggested as she stood up. Isabel nodded scrapping her food and then followed Tess.
UFO Center
“Michael is going to get arrested for breaking in to this place again.” Isabel commented as she placed her hand over the lock to unlock it.
“When does this place open?” Tess asked.
“Four. Max’s boss thinks this place is more spookier when people see it at night.” Isabel explained as she rolled her eyes in annoyance as the walked down the stairs and stopped in front of the information booth and looked both ways to see if they spotted either Max or Michael. “Michael? Max?” Isabel called out.
Michael/ Max: Isabel, over here.
“Max, what’s going on? Where’s Michael?” Isabel asked as she walked closer to Max.

Just a reminder, Liz is in Maria’s body. Maria is in Lonnie’s and Lonnie is in Liz’s. Max is in Rath’s body. Michael is in Max’s and Rath is in Michael’s. To avoid confusion I’ll write it this way.

Lonnie/Liz: Knock. Knock.
“Oh, my God.” Isabel coughed out in shock, when she saw Lonnie/Liz and Rath/ Michael. Lonnie had completely remodeled Liz’s bodies to piss her off. Lonnie/Liz had on a black strapless corset with a plaid red and black micro miniskirt that revealed the black spanky pants with the name “Rath” on them.
Liz/Maria: “What the hell did you do to my body!?!” Liz exclaimed not wanting to look at Max, imaging him drooling over Lonnie’s project. “What happened to my hand?” Liz asked noticing her bandaged hand that she was cradling.
Lonnie/Liz: “Yeah, I broke it…with his face” Lonnie answered pointing to Rath/Michael.
Rath/Michael: “What can I saw I like it rough.” Rath said with a smirk kissing the top of Lonnie/Liz’s head as he grabbed her butt.
Max/Rath “Hey.” Max warned.
Lonnie/Liz So, what do you say Duke? You gonna heal my hand?
Max/Rath: I can't.
Michael/Max: I have his body. I don't think I can do that yet.
Rath/Michael: Enough with the chic talk. Just give us our bodies back.
Max/Rath: We need to find the guy that did this to us.
Lonnie/Liz: We found him but he was six feet under already. So I hope you squares have back up.
Maria/Lonnie: What? You guys killed him!
Lonnie/Liz: Did I say we did?
Max/Rath: That’s not helping. Right now, we have to figure out a way to reverse the process.
Liz/Maria: Well, he did say this Sava thing was an electric jolt maybe we can recreate the current and reverse the process.
Rath/Michael: In English.
Max/Rath: Electrocute ourselves and jolt back.
Rath/Michael: “That’s sick.” Rath said with a smile.
Maria/Lonnie: We could die.
Liz/Maria: Well, it’s the only thing I can think of.
Lonnie/Liz: I got a better plan, how bout we crack open those orbs and then find the portal so we can go back home and they could fix us.
Max/Rath: What are you talking about? The orbs are just communicators.
Lonnie/Liz: Not according to our protector.
Michael/ Max: Well, what else could they be?
Rath/Michael: They hold two pieces of a map that says where there’s a portal that comes every thirty years.
Lonnie/Liz: Next one’s coming up in two days.
Maria/Lonnie: I’ve only been in your body for an hour and I hate it. I doubt I can handle two more days and besides leaving Earth is not an option.
Lonnie/Liz: Well, you can take Suicide Mary’s idea or take ours.
Michael/ Max: Yours is suicide too.
Max/Rath: Michael’s right. We don’t know what could happen up there to Maria and Liz, let alone us, but we all know what will happen if you two go.
Michael/Max: "Don’t think Antar will throw a welcome party for you two if they see Isabel and me there, with us being the real Royal Four and all.” Michael said with a smirk seeing Lonnie and Rath hold their anger because they knew he was right. Chances were they would be killed right on the spot once they found out that they were the back up Royal Four.
Max/Rath: We stay.
Rath/Michael: "You ain’t our leader." Rath boldly stated as he stepped up to Max/Rath.
Michael/ Max: "But he’s ours." Michael/Max said stepping up beside Max/Rath. "If Max says we stay. We stay."
Max/Rath: Liz, how would we do the jolt?
Liz/Maria: We can use a defibrillator, it has a safe amount of joules that we can use and not to mention an ‘on’ and ‘off’ switch. The only problem is, is we’re going to have to steal one.
Rath/Michael: That’s somethin’ we can do. Just tell us what the hell a defibrillator is and we’ll lift it.
Liz/Maria: It’s a LifePack, what they use to restart your heart.
Rath/Michael: Right.
Liz/Maria: Tess go to Valenti and tell him that we’re going to be at the school, so in case the security guards call the police, he can stall to buy us time.
“Okay.” Tess said about to leave but Max/Rath grabbed her arm unnoticeably to wait.
Liz/Maria: When you guys get it, meet us at our school gym.
Rath/Michael: Right.

Maria/Lonnie: “We’re so going to get busted.” Maria said looking around all paranoid.
Michael/Max: “No we’re not if you keep your mouth shut.” Michael snapped and then shushed her. They watched the security guard turn the corner giving them a chance to make it to the gym unnoticed.
Max/Rath: “Everyone knows what to do right?” Max asked getting a nod from everyone and then watched Tess hid behind the tile wall entrance of the girl’s shower closest to the swimming pool area.
Michael/Max: “Don’t worry, Maxwell.” Michael suggested patting Max/Rath on the back and watched them enter the pool area while he waited for Lonnie and Rath, who crept in about ten minutes later with Rath/Michael carrying a portable defibrillator.
Lonnie/Liz: “Where’s is everyone?” Lonnie asked skeptically.
Michael/Max: “They’re waiting for us.”
Rath/Michael: “Well, this was just waiting for us inside an ambulance.” Rath said handing the yellow and black LifePack to Michael/Max. “So how are we goin’ to do this?”

Pool Area
When Michael/Max, Lonnie/Liz, and Rath/Michael came in the found Max/Rath, Liz/Maria, and Maria/Lonnie sitting at the edge of the pool with their bare feet inside the water. Suddenly Liz’s plan became very clear.
Lonnie/Liz: Yo, your chic is crazy if she wants us to do what I think she wants us to do.
Michael/Max: You were fine about it before.
Lonnie/Liz: I thought like a small shock.
Maria/Lonnie: “Well, that’s what you get for thinking.” Maria snorted.
Max/Rath: “The faster we do this the faster we get our bodies back.” Max said before falling into the shallow end of the pool with Liz/Maria and Maria/Lonnie following behind. Michael/Max handed Isabel the LifePack and then he, Lonnie/Liz, and Rath/Michael dove into the shallow end and joined the others in a circle as they held hands.
Liz/Maria: You have to charge it first and then adjust the dial to 20 joules.
“Okay, it’s charged.” Isabel said seeing the green light turn on and then turn the dial to 20 joules, took the two paddles and then leaned over the side ladder on top of a rubber mat and looked up at them. “ Should I say ‘clear’?” Isabel asked getting an angry look from everyone. “Okay. Okay. Here goes nothing.” Isabel said pressing the shock buttons on each paddle letting an electrical current travel through the water and blasted everyone with a muscle-contracting. Isabel was pushed back as well, with the paddles still in her hands. When she looked inside the pool everyone was floating except Michael, who was coughing. “Tess.” Isabel called out. Tess came running in and took the paddles away from Isabel as Isabel went to the other side of the pool to see if it worked. “Michael. Michael, is that you?”
“Yeah.” Michael answered.
“Tell me something only Michael would know.” Isabel asked.
“Your brother’s an idiot and I’m calling in sick for a week.” Michael mutter as Isabel laughed in relief.
“It worked.” Isabel yelled to Tess. Tess nodded and quickly closed her eye concentrating on Lonnie and Rath. “Help me get the others out.” Isabel told Michael. Michael moved Max, Maria and Liz to the edge while Isabel pulled them up and then he pulled himself up. “Wake them up. Make sure it’s them.”
“Maria. Wake up.” Michael said shacking her lightly, Maria opened her eyes and saw Michael leaning over her.
“Hey, Space boy.” Maria said with a faint smile. Michael smiled and kissed her when he saw it was her, and then moved on to Max while Maria went to see Liz and Isabel went and took the paddles away from Tess and moved back into her shocking position.
“Liz, wake up Gidget.” Maria said smacking her lightly seeing Liz open her eyes. “Tell me something that only I would know.”
“That there are a couple of Czechoslovakians that better make this up to us.” Liz murmured, getting a smile from Maria.
“Oh, yeah, big time.” Maria agreed as she helped Liz up.
“Maxwell, get up.” Michael said smacking Max across the face.
“Ow.” Max said rubbing the side of his face.
“Tell me something.” Michael asked.
“My girlfriends a beautiful genius.” Max answered.
“I think it fried your brain even more than it was.” Michael said helping him up and then signaling Isabel that everything was okay. When Lonnie and Rath started to come to, Tess was mind warping them into believing that the others were still in the pool with them while Isabel got them out.
“Yo, did it work?” Rath asked looking over to Lonnie, seeing she was looking at her tattoos.
“Hell yeah!” Lonnie cheered.
“Well, that’s good to know.” Isabel said. Lonnie and Rath looked over to her and noticed her intentions.
“You’ll kill everyone else.” Lonnie said with a sure smile.
“Think again.” Isabel answered cocky, Tess released her mind warp revealing that Max, Michael, Maria, and Liz were already outside of the pool in towels looking at them with daring expressions. By the time they tried to use their powers, Isabel took the paddles as Tess turned the dial up to 200 joules and then pushed the shock buttons. Everyone ducked for cover until the sparks were done and when they looked inside the pool there wasn’t anything left that slightly resembled Lonnie and Rath.
“We won’t see them anymore.” Michael commented as Max walked over and used his powers to drain the pool. “What are we going to do with them?”
“Valenti’s waiting for us. He’ll take care of them.” Max said climbing in the tiled pool with Michael and put the remains inside of a morgue body bag that Valenti gave them and snuck them out into Valenti’s trooper car.
Near the School
“I’ll take car of this. You guys go home before someone sees you here.” Valenti advised before driving off.
“Home. I can’t wait.” Maria whined as they began to head back to Max's car. “Spending the night Space Boy?”
“You know it.” Michael said putting his arm around her.
“You guys aren’t looking too hot. Except Liz, who looks like she’s about to pose for a Maxim Magazine.” Isabel commented.
“What? I’m taking this off as soon as I get home.” Liz said in distaste until a car drove past them with a couple of jocks who were blasting their horn at the sight of Liz.
“YEAH, BABY!” They heard one of the guess yell as they drove by.
“Maybe I’ll keep it on for a little while longer.” Liz said with a blushing smile.
‘You better or else.’
Liz bolted a look over to Max seeing a smile stretched across his face as he draped his arm around her.
‘Is that a threat or a promise.’ Liz thought back giving Max a flirtatious smile.
‘You’ll just have to wait and see.’

Pool Area
When Michael/Max, Lonnie/Liz, and Rath/Michael came in the found Max/Rath, Liz/Maria, and Maria/Lonnie sitting at the edge of the pool with their bare feet inside the water. Suddenly Liz’s plan became very clear.
Lonnie/Liz: Yo, your chic is crazy if she wants us to do what I think she wants us to do.
Michael/Max: You were fine about it before.
Lonnie/Liz: I thought like a small shock.
Maria/Lonnie: “Well, that’s what you get for thinking.” Maria snorted.
Max/Rath: “The faster we do this the faster we get our bodies back.” Max said before falling into the shallow end of the pool with Liz/Maria and Maria/Lonnie following behind.
