Kiss My Ass Fred
Part 9
Alex woke up and rolled over, immediately putting his hand out to reach for Isabel. Finding the space next to him empty, he sat up, a rush of panic flooded through him.
“I’m making breakfast, love,” he heard in his mind.
“I knew that,” he threw back with relief.
“Then why the panic?” she questioned.
“The panic was because....I hoped you would make something I could eat, I’m starving!” he thought as he watched her walk in through the bedroom door.
She face was curled in a smirk as she walked towards him with a tray and laid it on the bed in front of him.
“I will have you know… I know how to cook,” Isabel said out loud as she sat down on the bed beside him.
“Oh really...so not burning things anymore?” he teased as he leaned over to kiss her.
“Alex I did NOT burn things! OK, maybe once or twice but I have had a lot of time to work on things,” she said, giving him a kiss to take the sting out of her words.
“Yes, you have been working on a few things. Oooh, this looks yummy,” he said, licking his lips as he glanced down at the tray of food. It was loaded up with huge pieces of French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and little fried potatoes garnished with cut up strawberries. Off to the side was a glass of juice and two cups of coffee.
Isabel smiled. This was the way she had always envisioned her life with Alex. She picked up the syrup and poured it over the French toast. She cut a piece off with her fork and held it up as if she was going to give it to Alex. He smiled and opened his mouth to accept it but when she leaned towards him as if to lift the fork to his mouth, she turned just before and took the bite into her own mouth.
“Hey!” Alex protested with a smile. He loved it when Isabel was playful like this.
She grinned and went to take another bite, teasing him with her eyes. Alex leaped forward and snatched the bite before she could put it in her mouth, in the process getting close enough to also plant a light kiss on her lips. Isabel smirked again and licked her lips.
“Isabel, we still have a lot to talk about,” Alex said, suddenly getting a serious look on his face.
“Yes, Mr. Serious, I know that we do, but can we enjoy breakfast first?” she said with a smile and a twinkle in her eye.
“Of course we can but if you stay dressed like that and I remain in my, er, utter lack of clothing, we both know the food will get cold before we can eat it,” he said as he eyed her with the innocent yet lustful look, trying to remain firm in his convictions.
Isabel raised an eyebrow and looked over into Alex’s loving face, and then it hit her! He was wearing no clothes under the light blue sheets. She glanced slowly down his body, her eyes following a path down his broad chest and back up to his face.
Alex watched her with a mixture of desire and humor, knowing just what she was thinking… “Isabel,” he said, trying to snap her out of her stupor.
“Isabel!” he tried in her mind for extra emphasis.
“Yes… I’m here…huh?” she said trying to calm her quickening heartbeat.
“Sweetheart, we REALLY need to talk about this, I can feel all the lusty stuff coming off you in these crazy mind waves. Hey! What did Lonnie tell you about this? Iz?” He reached over to grab her hand then and was met with a sudeden shock to his system. Alex jumped and pulled his hand back. “OUCH, Isabel. Geez!” he yelled.
“Oh my god, Alex! I’m so sorry, are you OK?” She started to reach for him but he pulled back. Their eyes came together with intensity as he tried to hide the hurt in them.
“Oh, Izzie, I’m sorry…I know this is confusing for us both. It was just an involuntary reaction, I’m sure,” Alex said in a calmer voice that was laced with guilt.
Looking up finally, Isabel tried again to grab his hand and this time he didn’t pull back. There were no shocks either so she squeezed it for a minute while she tried to gather her thoughts together. Alex waited patiently through her silence.
“Lonnie did tell me that I had to learn to close the connection with you a little. See, we missed three years and my body stored up all this energy and love and so it gets a bit overwhelming. I guess that just now I forgot and so I was all wide open and it was too much for you. I’m sorry.” She held her head down as she finished speaking.
“That’s OK, sweetheart, I am very happy to make up for lost time. Just remember that I am only a lowly human and already no match for such a beautiful woman, let alone an alien princess, so go easy on me, OK?” he said as he leaned over to plant a soft kiss on her lips.
Isabel felt horribly guilty but allowed him to plant soft kisses on first her lips and then her forehead before moving down to rest their foreheads against one another.
“I love you. We WILL work this out,” he paused, “and we will have a lot of fun doing it too. Just let me know what I can do to make it easier.”
Isabel leaned in and kissed him, opening the connection so he could see everything Lonnie had told him. After kissing for a minute he pulled away and gasped for air.
“WOW, she told you it gets better! I think I might need a doctor,” he said incredulously.
Isabel laughed, pulling him into a hug and letting all the feelings of love wash over her.
“How did I get so lucky?” she thought to herself.
“I’m the lucky one, more like,” he answered.
Isabel decided that Alex was right that they needed to get dressed so she regretfully pulled back and stood up. Maria had told her to take as much time as they needed but she knew that she would feel better once all this crap with Cal was taken care of and the only way that that was going to happen was if they came up with a plan. She could feel Alex’s eyes on her as she looked in her bag to get some clothes.
“I know I said we should get dressed and go down stairs to eat but I will say I’m going to be sad to see you out of my shirt and in your own clothes,” Alex said with a sigh.
“Don’t worry, I promise to wear your shirts all the time from now on in the morning. I’m going to take a shower now, and as much as I would love to have you join me I guess it’s not a good idea. I know I can’t stand in a small room with you and contain myself, seeing as you would be naked.” Giggling to hide the desire that shot through her at that thought, she grabbed her clothes and went into the bathroom.
Alex fell back onto the pillows with a groan. This was going to be difficult! Yes, there was all the stuff with Cal, but he was also worried about just getting through the ordeal of knowing that Isabel was taking a shower right there in the next room. When he heard the water turn on he thought it was safe to get up and put on his boxer shorts but he didn’t make it across the room before he was hit with a flash of the water pouring over Isabel’s body.
“Is she doing this on purpose?” he asked himself with an even louder groan.
“Doing what?” Isabel asked.
“Oh hell!” he said and walked over to the bathroom.
Isabel jumped as she stepped into the shower. “Alex, what are you doing?” she moaned as he slid up behind her to kiss her neck.
“I’m conserving water, and our sanity…go with it,” he breathed into her ear, sending a sharp shiver down her spine.
“OK, but this is on you this time,” she whispered, leaning her hands against the shower wall as his hands began to explore her body.

Meanwhile…
Lonnie had not slept. She was too worried about how they were going to close off the connection and make Cal go away. The sick feeling in her stomach just wouldn’t go away. She missed New York and she missed
him. She had told Isabel how to close the connection a little but apparently her double had been to busy to think about it. Lonnie knew this to be a fact as she’d just gotten a supercharged dose of Isabel’s desire through the line. She sighed and pushed the covers off in order to get up and go into the kitchen.
“Morning,” Maria mumbled from inside the pantry.
“Oh hey! I didn’t know anyone was up,” Lonnie answered as she sat down on one of the bar stools by the island.
“Pfft! Who can sleep through the Max and Liz morning sex. I swear they get worse each year. It’s amazing they never run out of steam,” Maria answered with a bemused yet somewhat disgusted expression on her face.
Lonnie laughed at Maria’s tendency to just blurt out whatever she was thinking. It was clear that even though she was disgusted with Max and Liz to some degree, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Yeah, the soul mate bonding and connection can sure be something to be around twenty-four hours a day. I have heard that on Antar some people would spend months never getting out of bed,” Lonnie stated.
Maria looked over at Lonnie and searched the others girl’s face for something resembling the Lonnie that they had run into years ago but she couldn’t really find it. She sat down then with two cups of tea, sliding one across to rest in front of Lonnie.
“There’s Tabasco sauce and honey right in front of you,” she said pointing. “Hey Lonnie, can I ask you a few questions?” Maria asked lightly.
“Sure. I just hope I can answer them,” Lonnie answered honestly.
“Why are you here?” Maria inquired. “And don’t just give me the answer you gave us before, give me the real one.”
Lonnie let out a deep breathe and looked up at the ceiling.
“Do you know I always thought Isabel was the lucky one, living in this town and having all of you. Plus there was the whole being the real princess thing. It wasn’t until I was watching Cal one day go on and on about how Vilondra was his and ‘no matter what he was going to have her’ that it hit me… See, I got the easy part of being Vilondra - Khivar, Cal, and Nicholas, they don’t want me, they want her. She is the one who has to worry about going back and she is the one who has all the burden of being ‘the princess.’ I was just a dupe.” She paused to take a drink of her tea before adding, “she’s also not the one who helped to kill her brother. She and Max would never think of doing that to each other. Sure they fight…but what siblings don’t? Zan and I never got along. I always thought he was too soft, and being with Rath didn’t help.” The tall alien girl looked over at Maria and reached out to put her hand on her arm. “Oh Maria, I’m sorry, I didn’t think about it but it must be weird for you that I was with Rath…” Her voice trailed off then as if she was running out of steam after revealing so much painful stuff.
“Lonnie, a long time ago we all decided none of them were like their dupes. Michael is not Rath, and it doesn’t bother me because I know how much Michael loves me. Plus I also know you didn’t love Rath,” Maria said patting Lonnie’s hand.
Lonnie nodded in understanding and continued with only a little hesitation, “I feel like I have so much to make up for, but also I need to help myself. I need closure and knowing Isabel is finally happy will give me that…do you understand?”
“Better then you think. All I can say is I that I do believe that you are here to help, but let me warn you, we all work together as a tight family and if someone crosses this family it’s not a pretty sight,” Maria said with warning in her flashing green eyes.
“I do believe I have seen some of that teamwork in person, so believe me, I won’t forget.” Lonnie chuckled. She admired Maria for being so willing to stand up for her family.
“Won’t forget what?” Michael asked as he walked into the kitchen, planting a kiss on Maria’s lips as he walked by to check for coffee.
“She didn’t forget how we all work together as a family. Speaking of, I better not see you giving Alex one dirty look when they decide to come and talk to us, do you hear me?” Maria said as she planted her hands on her hips.
Michael grunted and grabbed a coffee mug and poured himself a cup. “They just better not turn into Max and Liz. It’s one thing to have your brother having sex all the time, but I don’t want to KNOW about Isabel having it,” he grumbled.
Lonnie laughed at how protective Michael was. Boy, was he in for a surprise.
“Michael, I hate to burst your bubble but Isabel has three years of stored up energy, they will definitely be worse then Max and Liz for awhile,” Lonnie told him teasingly.
“Oh, fricken wonderful!” Michael exclaimed.
Maria got up and moved around to face him in the small kitchen.
“You WILL be happy for your sister. She deserves this and so does Alex. Lonnie will help them keep a lid on it in public and besides they don’t even live here so it won’t be under your nose. But let me tell you one thing, Spaceboy, you will behave, and you will do it with a smile. Got it?” Maria stated firmly as she gave him an emphatic poke in the chest.
“Yes dear,” He mumbled into his coffee.
“I’m going to call Tess and see if she and Kyle want to come over. We can at least start talking about a plan,” Maria said and grabbed the phone. She paused for a second and yelled out, “Max, get off Liz and you all come out here and have breakfast, so we can talk about helping your sister!”
Later that day…
Isabel and Alex had decided to go over to the house and see what everyone was coming up with. They were all sitting around in the living room talking.
“Isabel, are you OK? “Cuse you look kinda funny.” Liz asked.
Alex looked up at Isabel and noticed a light red coloring to her face so he leaned over and patted her hand to reassure her.
Maria saw something was up. “Come on ladies, we need to have girl talk in the kitchen. We can also decide what to order for dinner,” she said as she stood up unceremoniously.
“You too Lonnie,” Liz and Tess said at the same time.
Lonnie looked up in surprise but followed them into the kitchen. After they had decided to order Italian food and so the food thing was all settled, they all looked at Isabel with unabashed curiosity.
“Isabel, what’s wrong…are you OK?” Maria inquired gently.
“Yes, I’m fine - just embarrassed -I will be fine,” Isabel answered, hiding her eyes as she spoke.
“Alright, we said no more secrets. Is everything OK with you and Alex?” Liz asked in a concerned best friend kind of voice.
“Yes, yes, Alex is wonderful. There’s just something that happened today and I can’t seem to get over it,” Isabel managed to get out even as she had placed her hands over her face.
“Don’t you think telling us about it might make you feel better?” Maria said and rubbed Isabel’s back.
“No,” Isabel said, still mumbling through her hands.
“Come on, I’m sure it wasn’t that bad. Tell us and then maybe we can help,” Tess said as she too started to get concerned for her friend.
Isabel looked up and saw all of their concerned faces and decided what the hell, maybe she WOULD feel better if she bit the bullet and told them. She took a deep breath and started…
“Alex and I had a wonderful morning and I showed him what Lonnie had explained to me about the building up of my energy and he was great about it and everything. I went to get in the shower and he jumped in there with me. I didn’t know he was going to come in there with me. Anyways one thing led to another and we got carried away in his shower…” she trailed off.
“OK, so what? That’s great, right?” Maria said with evident confusion, trying to understand exactly what the problem was.
“Yes it was great. The only problem is…I was in the middle of a …umm, *you know* and I grabbed ahold of the soap dish - you know the one that is built into the shower wall - and I sort of ripped it out of the wall.” Her answer spilled out of her mouth quickly as she glanced around at her friends with a truly horrified expression on her face.
Everyone was silent for a few seconds and then someone started to giggle, and then Isabel heard another giggle. Pretty soon they were all laughing so hard tears were rolling down their faces. Well, everyone but Isabel was laughing.
“I do not see the humor in this, AT ALL!” she said, raising her voice.
“We…are …sorry…but…OMG!” Liz answered, as she desperately tried to get her breath back. “I thought Max and I were bad but we have never done that!”
“Thanks, Liz,” Isabel complained but even she almost cracked a smile.
Hearing all the noise the guys all came into the kitchen to see what was happening. They found all of the girls holding their stomachs, doubled over and nearly wheezing with laughter. Alex felt her embarrassment and assumed that Isabel must have told them so he walked over to take her in his arms.
“What’s so funny?” Kyle asked, never one to be left out of a joke.
“Alex and Isabel were in the shower…. HAHAHA…and she ripped the soap dish off the wall…OMG!” Tess told him in between maniacal giggles.
“How the hell did she do that and why would she….? Oh wait, duh,” Kyle said, turning to look at Alex and Isabel with eyes wide. “Way to go, Dude!”
Michael and Max were still confused. Then it hit them and they turned to look at Alex with rage as they started to move towards him.
“I don’t think so! If you’re mad then take it out on your girlfriends - they were the ones who asked what was wrong with me,” Isabel said fiercely as she moved to stand in front of Alex in order to block her brothers from getting to him.
Finally, Liz, who was feeling a little badly about the situation, straightened up and moved over to Max. “I don’t think you want me to tell them about the time you blasted a hole in the wall of the Crashdown, also in the middle of a…” she whispered but was interrupted quickly by Max.
“Nope, and besides - I fixed that!” he whispered back, kissing her sweetly.
“Well, now that we have all had a great big laugh at my and Isabel’s expense can we go back into the living room and start making a plan?” Alex said, trying to take the heat off of Isabel.
“Sure Alex,” Liz said, grabbing Max’s hand and pulling him into the living room to wait for the food.
Alex and Isabel were the last ones to walk out of the kitchen.
“Are you OK? I told you it wasn’t a big deal. You even fixed it,” he thought, trying to sooth her.
“Yes, I’m OK, I think I’m more mad that we didn’t finish,” she thought back with a pout.
“Hey, wait a second. We did finish. In fact, if I’m not mistaken we started all over.”
“Yes, we did but that doesn’t count - I still want more.”
“Well, we can always go into the bathroom here and see what we can tear off the walls!”
She smacked him lightly and pulled him back to her before they could get all the way into the living room. “Don’t make promises you won’t keep,” Isabel said, kissing him thoroughly.
“I wasn’t kidding. Come on! How long till the food gets here?” Alex asked, challenging her with a lascivious grin.
“Thirty more minutes. And you’re going to regret asking,” Isabel said in a breathless hurry and proceeded to finish pulling him towards the bathroom instead of the living room.
“Oh geez! Am I going to have to start yelling at you two also?” Maria asked as she watched them duck into the bathroom.
“You can yell, Maria but they’ll just learn selective hearing like the rest of us,” said Max much to Liz’s glee.
“Yeah, you’re real funny, Max! Come on guys. We have plans to make!” Maria called out in the direction of the couple as they slunk away.
“We can make plans after we eat and we still have time before the food gets here,” came Isabel’s rushed answer as they all heard the door to the bathroom close and lock.
“It’s OK. Maria, no worries. You don’t even have a soap dish in your shower,” Kyle remarked with a chuckle.
“SHUT UP, KYLE!” yelled Max and Michael with simultaneous horror.
