Liz walked into the King's office and took the seats across from him.
"Thank you for coming Liz."
"May I ask why you wanted to see me You're Highness?"
"Liz, behind closed doors or with family it's just Philip."
"Yes sir."
"Now I asked you here because Max has requested that we move up your wedding."
"Yes sir."
"You knew he was going to ask?"
"Yes Philip, he did it with my blessing."
"I see. Liz, I don't know how much you have been told about marriage here."
"I know that most couples have a life bond. One that can only be broken by death."
"Yes, not all have the bond. Men like Kivar won't do it. Now I should make it clear to you that, if let's say Kivar were to get you and rape you. You wouldn't get pain in your head cheaters get. You have to be willingly cheating on your mate."
"I understand."
"Now has Max told you about going before the preistest?"
"Yes."
"I have no doubt that you will pass her test."
"Why?"
"Serena, would never have chosen you for Max if you wouldn't. She has the ability to see into the true nature of a person. She could see this beautiful, kind hearted woman behind that stonewall of stubbornness that you showed the world."
"I am sorry about how I acted."
"Don't be. That stubbornness of yours will serve you well as Queen. Let me tell you if Diane doesn't agree with me she let's me know it. In fact when I told her of my choice to bring you and the others here she when off and even threw me out of our bedroom. I had to sleep in the sitting room."

"Liz, I will arrange for the test then. Once you pass the test we can set the wedding into motion."
"Ok."
"You may go. I will let you know when the test is."

Zane watched Jenny as she walked through the garden.
"You could try and talking to her." Said Serena
"I have. She is still so scared of me."
"Zane, you do understand that she has been through a lot."
"I know. I so want to be the one to kill Kivar for what he did to both those young ladies."
"We have people hunting for him. Though he isn't on any planet in the empire."
"I think he is on Draygon. They have a history of mistreating humans brought there."
"I know. That is why my father stopped all trade with them."
"Yes. Well princess wish me luck. I am going to try and talk to Jenny."
"Good luck."
Zane walked over to Jenny who had sat down on a bench near a small pond. Zane stayed a few feet away knowing that she was still uncomfortable with men near her.
"It is a lovely evening." Said Zane softly
"Yes. It is." Said Jenny
"Jenny, I am not going to hurt you."
"I know Zane."
"How do you know that?"
"Miss Liz, wouldn't let you anywhere near me if you were."
"She is a very kind young lady."
"She is a year younger then me."
"That maybe true. But she is going to have a big job."
"Yes, I know. She will be queen."
"Yes. That is why I am her personal guard."
"Zane, you can sit down if you want."
"Thank you."
Zane sat down next to her and they kept talking.
