I grin. God someone pinch me! i think Im about to spontaniously combust.

I watch her right in that amazing style of hers her number and address.
"I should be home by seven, but just in case something changes, there's my number..."

I smile. "Thanks" I say as I take the change and the buisness card. God, can life get any better than right now? I swear, I dont remember being this happy...like...ever!

I look at her....and she's biting her lip in a worrying manner.
Oh oh...

"Are you ok?" I ask raising an eyebrow. I really hope shes not regretting saying yes or anything.
Say something...make conversation with her!

"So after your done here tonight what are you up to?" I ask. "Anything exciting?

Im trying to expand this moment....I really dont want to leave just yet...just incase this is a dream.

Alex

Halfway down the street and I realise that I am missing something...my school bag which must still be lying in the booth at the Crash if I am lucky and some idiot hasn't taken off with it....Blasted!

Turning back around I jog all the way back to the cafe and burst in.When I enter I spot Max talking to Liz and I can't help but smile to myself...FINALLY!!the boy does have a spine.

Going over to the booth which Max and I had occupied a while earlier I find it empty,thankfully and retrieve my bag.

My eyes settle on Alex. When did he get here? Who cares. He's here and I am going to talk him. Okay Isabel hes just a guy...you can do it. Its easy with everyother guy...whats so different about Alex? Hes just alex...

"Tess..I'll be right back." I say getting up from the stool. I walk over to him and place my hand on his shoulder to get his attention.

"Hey Alex."

Max smiles and I feel my heart rate speed in a similar manner as it did when Zan had smiled at me earlier. God, why does this have to be so confusing. "Thanks." He says taking the change and the card. I glance toward the door as it opens and see Alex come back in. Then, look back at Max as I hear his question.

"Are you ok?" I simply nod and give him a smile.

"I'm alright..." I don't really know what to say. Isabel and Tess had walked in while I was getting ready to take Michael's order. Agnes is nowhere to be seen, Maria left. It's just me.

"So after your done here tonight what are you up to?" Max asks and I find myself feeling guilty. "Anything exciting?"

Should I tell him the truth? Should I mention that I'm going to a party with Zan? I shake my head and shrug, "Well, I'm closing tonight and opening in the morning, so I'm planning on getting some sleep and studying in." Alright, that was the truth, I do plan on doing both. I'll probably go home after an hour of the party and study for an hour before going to bed.

So, I left out the party and I have to hope that he doesn't find out. I just... don't want to ruin the chance to see where things could go and I don't want to burn any bridges. My mother had taught me that at one time.

As I am about to head out a hand settles on my shoulder and for a moment I think it must be Max come to fill me in on the latest with Liz but then I realise it's a lighter touch,followed by the voice..."Hey Alex."

Isabel Evans.Isabel Evans is behind you.Okay just be cool.No big deal.Deep breaths...she's just a girl,a beautiful one albeit but a girl nevertheless.You've known her family your whole life...so stop acting like a freak.

Taking a deep breath I turn around to face her.I must have got up on the right side of the bed today...she's spoken to me twice in one day.I don't remember the last time that happened.

"Oh hey Isabel." I say trying to sound indifferent but not being very good at it

I smile and tuck s strand of hair behind my ear. Isabel...think of something to say...anything. Come on. You are Isabel Evans...boys will do anyting to date you.

I drag my gaze over to Tess before it settles back on Alex.

"Umm....would you like to join Tess and me for lunch. We were just going to eat...because we're hungry. Tess is fun and everything but she constantly worries about homework and I don't think I can keep her restrained alone. I don't mean literally but you know...make her stop worrying." I babble.

Nice Isabel...nice. Too much talking!!!! Shut up.

I nodd. Doesn't sound exciting at all....but then what she just described sounds like my life since I follow her all the time like a stalker...just dont tell Alex I admitted to that!

Speaking of whom, has come back and is now talking to Isabel...
Hmm...Im glad its him rather than someother jerk anyway I guess...

I look back at Liz. Maybe now would be a good time to leave...I mean...I dont want to outstay my welcome...
But I dont want to go...
And now Alex is busy talking to Isabel Im sure he wouldn't want me talking to him.

"Well...I'm sure your very busy so I guess I'd better go...don't study to hard ok?" I say with a smile.

"I guess I'll see you tommorow Liz."
I give a little wave before walking out of the crash heading out to the jeep.

I just asked Liz out...and she said yes.
Im not sure if she sees it like that...but hey... Im still hanging out with Liz Parker! God I've never been so happy!

Oh yeah...I'm sure she is a barrel full of laughs.I don't know her from adam...I don't even think we've ever spoken though our best freidns are siblings.Probably just a nod of recognition over the years or possibly a 'hi' if our sleep overs at the Evans' coincided

Okay so I wasn't the smoothest talker just then...but at least he said yes! But I still need to get it together. I am not acting like myself at all. Its mostly Alex's fault...but strangley I like it. He always makes me feel confused...like some teenager with a crush. Oh no. I do not have a crush on Alex...he is a year younger than me. Can't be. Nope. I refuse to believe it.

"I'll see what I can do to help.' he says stretching his arm out, motioning for me to go first and I do just that.

I head back over to Tess and sit down, motioning for Alex to sit down on the stool next to me.
