I sigh as I get off the phone. Nothing really has much happened at home. Not that I expected to.... but its good to know.

Maybe I should go and see Liz... see if she needs me... or perhaps me to talk to her.

I smile as I walk quickly down the beautiful halls and reach Liz's room and knock on her door.

I don't get an answer from Michael before there is another knock on my door. Thinking it's Maria on her crutches, I ask Michael, "Would you mind opening the door? If it's Maria, she'll have a hard time opening it with her crutches."

I glance out the window and see that it is still raining cats and dogs.

Nodding my head I open the door and grin at Max,"Maxwell,how nice of you to join us.I was just about to tell the Princess that I had a good night's rest before you woke me up so rudely in the morning.Where've you been anyway?I last saw you in the kitchen sulking by the corner."

I give him a small smile, trying hard not to say something catty. Instead I telepathically tell him, 'Stop being a git Michael... I don't know why your being a sulky kid but get over it!'

I look at Liz and smile. "Good morning princess, I hope Michael hasn't been bothering you too much" I say with a little friendly wink. "Can I help you this morning?"

I watch the exchange between Michael and Max biting back a smile. It seems they are as close as brothers...and get on each other's nerves like it too. I am pleased to see Max far more than I should be but I can't help it. Maybe if I find something about him that isn't perfect...you know, a fault or something. Maybe then I can get over this crush I seem to be developing.

"Good morning, Max. I suppose I should go over my schedule for the day so that you both are informed of where I will be. Michael, I was kind of hoping that you would help Maria today if you don't mind. She's going to need help keeping occupied and getting around. At least it's raining so she won't feel so blue about not being able to get outside and ride," I tell them. I keep glancing at Max. How is it possible for him to be more handsome than just last night?

I give a small bow to Liz. "Of course Princess. Anything I can do at all would be my pleasure." I give her a smile and hope I'm not blushing. She's so... perfect. This marriage will be a success... as long as she likes Prince Zan... I mean me... ergh the whole pretending to be someone else is getting to me...

My smile grows as Ava tucks her hand in my arm. Things are definitely looking up. As we enter the palace, I bow to her in respect of her position as a queen, before straightening and kissing her cheek one more time. "I'll leave you here. I'm sure that Lonnie is waiting for you. Perhaps we can spend some more time together soon, just the two of us. It would be nice to have another person to play chess against."

I walk down the hall and head for the doctor's area. I've got to find a way to get rid of this damn parasite. The pounding in my head starts up again and I pull out the bottle of pills, grimacing when I notice there are only 3 pills left. I swallow one of them and remind myself to ask the doctor for some more. They aren't helping as well as they were.

He's staring at me and I feel his attraction to me and that makes the heat rise to my face. Oh no! These feelings are not just one sided. Or maybe they are and I'm just having problems reading his feelings because my own are so strong. Clearing my throat and hiding behind my planner, I say, "Ok, so Alex and I have our weekly audiences at 10 this morning. I have a dress fitting this afternoon at 1:30 after lunch. There is a dinner with the ambassador from the southern continent this evening at 8. Somewhere in all that, I have a dance lesson, I think that's after the dress fitting..." I pause here and give Max a sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry. It doesn't sound like it'll be a very interesting day for you. Dress fittings and dance lessons." I roll my eyes and chuckle.

When she hides behind her planner, I wonder if she can tell I like her... that would be so... bad.

But shes very wrong about what she just said... She's in the room...of course its interesting...

I smile at her, "Come now... it will be a lot more interesting than you are making it out to be... I still get to guard the beautiful Princess Elizabeth. It definitely will be interesting."

I blush and frown. It certainly sounds like I'm reading his feelings right. This is so not good. We have to nip this in the bud right away. I can't marry Prince Xan if I'm having feelings for his personal guard. Maybe I should have had Max with Maria today and kept Michael with me. Despite what my head is telling me, the words that come out of my mouth when I realize something else and the smile that goes with them shock me. "You think I'm beautiful?" I ask him softly.

CRAP. That just slipped out there. Well I can't take it back so.... "Obviously." I say with a smile. And then I start to wonder....the way she's blushing...does that mean she likes Max?... I mean me?

Wow...wierd...

I wonder how far she would go with Ma....me? I mean... would she be ok liking a guy when she's engaged to Zan....me?
