I agree that most don't think of Alex as the type to start something, but I think that just possibly the more confident Alex would have, after that Prom kiss. What do you guys think?

I don't think it would have mattered if Alex was more confident or not - Isabel would have had her way with him no matter what

Me too---I agree with you guys. 
And I think that it's the duty of Gazer fic writers to take that idea and write a really good fic showing Alex just like that! (hmm..that could be a hint in disguise! )
Although I should mention that there are a few really good fics out there that have expanded some on this theme already.
