OOC: just a note.... yes we know that coupling is different, but as always, some things are subject to change and angst is always good lol.... so don't think this means anything at the moment about how things are going to go.... there are all sorts of things that can happen.
Tai-San and Lex JP by: Stormwolfstone and AerdrieMoonwind
JP 2 (Part 4)
Tai didn't want to look at Lex as he turned her back to face him. She was afraid that she'd lose all control, something that was rare and something Lex had only seen her do a handful of times. However, looking down at the expanse of his shoulders and chest wasn't helping either. Slowly, she lifted her eyes toward his even as she felt him wipe the tear that had begun to trail down over her cheek. She listened as he spoke, felt her heart catch at his smile and his touch. She felt herself melting, felt her resolve fading and simply looked in his eyes. As his hands slid over her arms, she sighed.
Still, Tai struggled internally, hearing a reminder inside of what she had seen. Yet, when Lex caressed her cheek yet again and then drew her into his arms, she found herself letting him. Her head fell to his shoulder and she closed her eyes. She let his comfort surround her even when a part of her screamed that he was a liar, that he was a cheat and this wasn't real. She felt as though she was making a mistake, letting herself get drawn in was only bound to cause her more pain. Another part of her though, felt as though this was Lex and she had forgiven him for other things. She'd forgiven him for nearly killing her with the crossbow, for accusing her of being intimate with the Guardian and for May's innuendos, so why couldn't she forgive him for sleeping with that girl?
It took Tai a few moments for her to get past her hesitation and place her arms around him. She told herself that she wouldn't let things continue, that she'd be fine as soon as she could focus. That if her room was still in the same order it was, she would shut herself in and re-center herself, get her charkas in order. Yet, still she let herself cling, tears falling silently. As always, she found herself growing uncomfortable with accepting comfort, and after several moments she drew back, her hands slowly falling away from Lex as she gave a tentative smile. "Thanks." She glanced around slowly, "We should go do something, figure out something..." She wanted to kiss him, to hold him and yet at the same time, the image of him and that girl flashed in her mind.
“Can’t let go yet,” Lex mumbles as he pulls her back to him, “just a little longer,” Lex felt her soften against him, enveloped in his arms so perfectly, and the scent of whatever she used in her hair was so tempting. He pulled back enough to cup her chin lightly and tilt up to him and kissed her soft lips ever so sweetly, wishing at that moment that his breath wasn’t tainted by whiskey. He kissed her closed eyelids gently and smoothed her hair away from her face. Something about this felt so right to him, Zandra had never felt this way against him and not as relaxed. It was little like a comfort drug, feed it enough and Lex would become addicted just as he had to the alcohol. He took a breath and let go, letting his fingertips linger on her arms before stepping away, “Okay then…yeah. Let’s go down to the rooms then?”
Tai-San shifts as Lex pulls her back to him and holds her again. She can't keep herself from smiling and relaxing against him. As he cupped her chin and pressed his lips against hers, she closed her eyes and found herself returning the kiss. The taste of the whiskey reminding her that he'd been drinking. The following gestures he did caused her to sigh, wanting to let things continue and yet wanting to do as she would have before, make him take an herbal remedy that would help cleanse his breath and take away any lasting effects of the alcoholic beverage.
Instead, she opened her eyes just as he stepped back, her form tingling as she listened to him respond, her mind turning to things that would be best forgotten. At least, that's what she has to convince herself of. She nods, "Alright." She turns and starts walking away, forcing her mind not to linger on the kiss. They both had rooms on the bottom floor, not too far from each others. When she came to Lex's, the only bottom floor room to have an actual sliding door on it, she stopped, "Should we meet out here once you've checked your room and I've checked mine?" She was tempted to go in with him.
Tempted to give him one more love making session, see if she could refresh his memory and yet she also knew that if she did, it would make it harder. Part of her waits to see if he'll invite her, to check it out with him, while the other part waits to be dismissed as though that brief moment was nothing to him. As though she was nothing to him.
Lex remembered that he had taken all of Zan’s things out of the room, except a couple of fluffy boas she liked, but with how things were going, he wasn’t sure what he’d find. Moldy food on plates, and empty bottles, which was what he remembered at least, “Nah, won’t take but a sec,” he told her, “mind you it may be a big mess.” Lex reached out for her hand slid open the door with the other. “Hey look at that, it’s clean, maybe Salene came in here and cleaned it all.” Everything looked the same, same bed with its comforter, burgundy painted walls, but no mess… and no Boas.
Tai-San looked around, the feeling of her hand in his made her confusion mount. But, as she looked around his room she felt herself shiver. There was definitely something off. The place was not set the same way it had been. The furniture wasn't set for positive flows as it had been when she had moved in with her husband. Only a bare amount of her belongings had remained in her old room. She couldn't understand what was going on around here she'd somehow ended up in a madhouse or something. "This has got to be a dream." She muttered, "Nothings as I remember. We've somehow grown up, had memories of different things and find that the city has changed as have our belongings. It's got to be some sort of dream."
Laughter suddenly sounded around them and as she watched only a hand appeared almost in front of them holding a sheet of paper. Tentatively she reached out and took the paper, looking at Lex as she read what was written, "What once was, is different when looked upon separately, just as you are not who the other thinks. Neither of you truly know the other, in the same way as your mind and heart might believe." Tai shakes her head, as she dropped the hand with the letter. "I have no idea what the hell that's supposed to mean." She noticed that the hand that had held it simply vanished.
"Now, I know this has to be a dream. A hand appearing and vanishing just doesn't happen in real life." Yet, Lex's hand on hers felt real, the brief kiss they'd shared had felt real, his arms around her had been real. "I need to realign my chakra that's all..." She trailed off and simply glanced down at the note in her hand again.
“Huh, odd thing that is, doesn’t make any sense, huh. Well, the room is different, it’s clean.” Lex walked around looking for items that were normally on tables and the dresser, but found only items that were his alone, nothing that had belonged to Zan. But being a guy, he didn’t care much for details, he had no idea if the furniture had been moved just that it was all the same stuff.
Lex took the note from her, looked it over, but couldn’t read it much anyway and laid it on the dresser. “Hey there, babe,” all he knew is that he wanted her to smile, to erase the frown that wrinkled her forehead and nose, still cute like but seemed unlike her. “If ya want to pinch me to hear me say ouch, or I’ll pinch you, I’ll gladly let you.” He leaned over to try to get her to look him in the eyes. He pinched himself rather hard first though, to tell himself, “Owww! See there! That hurt. Whether it’s a dream or not… at least we’re together, Babe.”
Tai looked at Lex as he spoke, his comments on pinching him had her trying not to smile, but as he pinched himself she couldn't hold back the soft laugh that escaped. As she spoke, she was shaking her head, "I'm not stupid enough to give you permission to pinch me, Lex. Since obviously, I have a husband that doesn't remember marrying me, I'm not going to be acting like the wife." Saying those words bothered Tai, but yet in another way she couldn't keep from remembering when she'd refused his attempts before and felt like she was in control. Of course, she hadn't felt in complete control since she'd fallen for him and decided to marry him.
"I need to go check my room and see whether everything is in order." She said suddenly, deciding that she needed to try and put some distance between them especially when her gaze had swept to the bed that she had shared with him time and again, her cheeks flaming.
“Wait, hold on there, babe.” This wasn’t leading where Lex wanted it to, he hooked her arm and pulled her to him, “Tai, help me remember, something’s happened, maybe I got hit on the head too hard, I don’t know.” He held her cheek in his hand, “I don’t like seeing you like this, it’s tearing me up inside.” At least that part was the truth. He kissed her forehead before pressing his cheek against it, holding her tightly to him.
“Do you wanna go look at your … old room, together? I don’t think we should go alone anywhere right now.” He wasn’t sure what the note had meant, his mind wasn’t all that keen on things, especially riddles. He crooked an eyebrow and pulled far enough away to look at her face, “Or we can stay here.”
Tai shook her head as she looked up at him. Was he really saying what she thought he was? She was tempted to give into it too. What if she did try to help him remember and when his memory returned he realized that he didn't love her? That could be the only reason that he could have cheated on her in the first place, right? Thing is, at this moment she was seeing the side of him that had drawn her to him in the first place. The side that he had rarely shown around others, tender and caring. "Lex, now is not the time for this...” She protested weakly, yet even as she spoke her arms were wrapping around his neck. 'No!' Her mind screamed with her limbs ignoring her. "I need to get my chakras in order. I can't do that with you so close...”
She found herself admitting these things and yet a part of her mind screamed for her to step back from him, release him. The other part of her simply relaxed. She looked in his eyes, feeling herself blush even as she gave him a slight smile. "I might be convinced though, Lex." She repeated a phrase she'd used a couple of times while they'd been married.
“You can wait till later to straighten those things out, I’m here right now.” Lex let instinct take over and kissed her, letting part of himself fall in, drowning, in that kiss. Tai-San was so warm and vibrant in his arms, an untapped energy just waiting for him to let it out. He let his kisses trail along the line of her jaw, breathing hot breaths on her skin and tender areas on the skin on her neck, tasting her here and there, and breathing over the wet places he left behind as he nuzzled a sensitive area behind her ear at the hair line. He moved his hands at the small of her back, his warm hands against her bare skin, pulling her closer to him.
In one part of his mind, he knew it was wrong to lead her on like this, but how she was responding to him was telling another part of him that she wasn’t acting like a bashful girl, but her face was that of a woman who knew what she wanted, Tai-San as a woman and he was a man now that needed things. He kissed the tops of both of her bare shoulders before returning to her soft lips that were so soft and swollen from his attention to them earlier. He pulled back to look at expression, knowing from her breathing that she was enjoying it, but that inner part of him was still unsure.
Tai-San sighed as she gave into the kiss, letting the sensations fill her. This was Lex. He might be older, he might not remember their marriage, but it was still Lex. At least, that's what her heart and senses were telling her. As his lips trailed over her skin she let her head tilt back, helping him with access while her hands slid over his back. When he recaptured her lips, she gave a soft moan against his lips, one hand delved beneath his shirt, nails tracing circular patterns over his back while the other hand moved into his hair. When he pulled back from her, she took a moment before she opened her eyes and looked at him.
Her desire for him was obvious in the depths of her eyes and the rise and fall of her chest. "Lex...” She breathed and with her head nodded toward the bed, silently telling him that she wasn't about to back down. She was enjoying this and if it turned out to be some strange dream or something, so be it. It couldn't hurt, could it?
