Part 36
Liz walked into the room Max was in. He was laying in the bed his left arm in a sling across his chest. He wasn't wearing a shirt and his shoulder was bandaged. She had to admit he really did have a nice body.
"You going to stand there staring or are you going to come over here and give me a get well kiss?" Asked Max
Liz walked over to him and gave him a kiss.
"Max, I was so scared." Said Liz
"Liz, everything is going to be OK. It's not as bad as it looks. I will be fine."
"I know. It was just that there was a lot of blood."
Max look a good look at Liz and saw the blood on her clothes.
"Liz were you hurt?"
"No it's your blood."
"Do they know who did this?"
"Yeah it was Tess Harding. She was trying to shoot me. But hit you instead."
Max looked at Liz and knew that if Tess had hit Liz. Liz would more then likely be dead. Because if the shot had been at the same angle the bullet would have hit her in the head. But on him it was his shoulder.
"God Liz!"
"I know. If she had hit me there is a good chance that I would be dead."
"I am so glad you are OK. Uh there is something we need to talk about."
"Yeah I know. But not right now OK? You need your rest. Once you are home I promise that we will talk about it then."
"Just answer this did you mean what you said?"
"What are you referring to?"
"Well, I do want to know about everything. But for now, that you love me."
Liz smiled and leaned in close.
"Max Evans, I love you with my whole heart. You make me happier then I have been in a very long time. Until you came into my life I never believed that there was love. You healed the one thing I never thought could be healed my heart."
"I love you Liz Parker."
Max took Liz's hand with his good one and kissed it.
"As much as I would love to stay here with you. I know your family wants to see you." Said Liz
"OK sweetie. Now I want you to go home and get some rest."
"I will. I promise. I will call you tomorrow ok?"
"Yeah. Goodnight Liz."
"Goodnight Max."
Liz leaned over and gave Max a kiss then left the room.

Liz walked out to find that Sarah had arrived while she was in with Max. Sarah pulled her into a hug after seeing that sdhe was really OK.
"I'm fine Sarah." Said Liz
"I was so scared when Serena called and told me what happened."
"Sarah, you know that I didn't want this to happen."
"I know honery. But you aren't to blame. Tess is a very sick girl."
"She want to kill me! If Max hadn't been with me then he wouldn't have been hurt."
"Liz, if Max hadn't been with you, you might be dead! I can't lose my best friend! You have no idea how much it hurt when you pushed me away. But I will be damned if I let you feel guilty for something you had no control over. Tess, has been unstable for a while. Maybe now she will get the help she needs." Said Serena
"Serena, is right. Go home and get some rest. If anything happens we will call you." Said Diane
"OK. Night everyone."
Serena and Sarah led Liz from the hospital.

Great chapter!!!! Please please please please please please please please please come back and post more really really really really soon? I can't wait to read what will happen next for Max, Liz and friends. So glad that Max is going to be fine. So Max and Liz have to talk about what Liz said to him as he laid on the ground. glad Max and Liz admit they love each other. Liz needs to stop blaming herself for what happened to Max it was Tess's fault. I'm glad that Serena, Sarah and Diane are all there for Liz. Please please please please say Tess will be locked up in a looney ben really soon?

Liz sat at the kitchen table working on her homework when the phone rang. Liz listened as Alex answered.
"Yeah Mrs. Evans, she is right here." Said Alex
Alex handed Liz the phone.
"Mrs. Evans wants to ask you something." Said Alex
Liz took the phone and put bit to her ear.
"Hello?"
"Hi Liz."
"Hi Mrs. Evans."
"Liz, Max is home now. But I need to run out for a few things. So I wondering if you would come over and stay with him? I really don't want to leave him alone."
"Sure Mrs. Evans. I can be there in fifteen minutes."
"Thank you so much."
"I am glad to help."
Liz hung up the phone and packed up her books to take to her room.
"So what is going on?" Asked Alex
"Max is home from the hospital and his mom wants someone to sit with him while she runs out to do a few things." Said Liz
"So she asked you?"
"Yes. Alex, don't worry about me with Max. I love him. Besides I know you like Isabel and this could help you with her."
"Parker, I don't need your help with Isabel. She and I went out last night."
"Really? We will talk about that later."
"OK. Oh and Liz, just wanted to tell you that I am so happy that you are getting better."
"Thanks Alex. By the way I love you like the brother I never had."
Alex hugged Liz and then Liz put her books in her room and headed out of the house.

"Mom, I don't need a babysitter! I will be fine for a couple hours while you are gone." Said Max
"Who said I called a babysitter?"
"I know you called someone."
"Ever think it might be your girlfriend?"
"You called Liz? Mom, as much as I want it to be true Liz isn't my girlfriend. It was one date and it didn't end very well."
"I have reason to believe that young lady thinks differently about your relationship."
"You know she isn't going to let me do anything."
"Like you didn't want her to do too much when she returned to school after she was beaten the last time? Max, you know I do my job the right way. When I checked in on her during those first couple months you did come up."
"Ok. But it doesn't mean I have to like it."
"Yeah well I don't think she liked it much at first."
"She didn't trust me."
"Liz didn't trust anyone for a long time."
Just then the doorbell rang.
"Now that should be Liz. Behave!"
