(Thanks, Ruby and Sugarplum7!

Great parts, all! I'm loving this RPG already)

While Michael and I are eating breakfast and watching TV, Liz and Kyle walk into the room to join us.
“Good morning,” Liz says cheerily, greeting us. Kyle’s greeting comes soon after as he moved to sit at the chair next to me. We share a smile as he approaches. Liz, for her part, remains near the doorway as though shy to sit with us.
“Morning,” I reply with equal cheerfulness, whereas Michael seemed slightly distracted by what was getting recapped on the screen and mutters a soft "Hey".
“Want some?” I ask offering Liz and Kyle some of my fruit.
I offer Liz first, to bring her more into the room with us. I'm thankful to have a few others to help me eat all this food, because as much as I love fruit, my nervousness about the upcoming radio job has really curbed my appetite.
“Sure,” Liz answers, coming into the room to perch on the armrest to Kyle’s large, cushioned chair. “Thank you,” she says as she picks off a few pieces of fruit. Then I notice that Liz has a slip of paper in her hand.
“What’s that that you have there?” I ask curiously.
“It’s nothing,” Liz says hastily, trying to hide the note. Then she decides to amend her statement and explains, “It’s . . I don’t know. It came with a rose in a vase. Kyle found them on the piano. I really don’t know what to make of it.” Wow! Liz has a secret admirer. Go, Liz!
“Isabel thinks it is from an admirer,” Kyle interjected, confirming my thoughts.
“Oooh!” I exclaim, intrigued. “Let’s see.” Maybe there's some sort of clue on the note that we can use to figure out who the roses were from. What a romantic guy! Liz is so lucky....with her beautiful face and sleek, dark hair, she's exactly the type to inspire this kind of lovely and romantic gesture.
“The gesture was quite thoughtful, but the message conveyed by the rose itself is completely innocent,” Liz tells me as she offers the aforementioned note. She shrugs a little before speaking again. “I don’t know what to think or who it's from.”
Liz hands me the note, and I take a look to see if I recognize the handwriting or any other clue. The handwriting doesn't look familair, but then again I haven't seen everybody's handwriting in the house yet. But the note is signed, ME. "ME....could that be initials, maybe?" I ask Liz quietly, an impish grin on my face. Liz looks at me, startled, realizing the implication.
This development is really interesting! I smile, thinking of how complex all of our relationships in the house are. Everybody seems to either like two different people or like someone who likes somebody else. It's confusing, but also fun to wonder about how it all will be sorted out. Briefly, I think back to the conversation earlier with Max while I was making breakfast in the kitchen...
"Hey, nice to see you. How are you feeling this morning?" Max greeted me warmly when I walked in.
"Oh, fine," I smiled. "Just a little tired."
He poured me a cup of coffee. "That's great. Not everyone here is as lucky."
"Hangovers? You?" I asked playfully, as I opened the refrigerator. I love this flirty banter thing we always seem to have going on. It's so much fun!
Max smiled. "Hangovers, yes. Me, no. Alex and Maria"
We chatted a bit more as I fixed myself a little breakfast. He really is nice. So fun, interesting, and intelligent. And he really seems interested in me. He even seems like he wants to ask me out. But he also has shown an interest in Liz, so I'm not sure where things stand. This confusion is kind of fun, but I don't want do deal with it right now, the morning of our radio jobs. So instead I took my breakfast into the living room.
