Isabel

"Why,thanks you kind sir" I said quickly trying to cover up the nervousness in my voice and twirled around on my toes

"This is one of my favourites as well.Actually Maria gave it to me last year...I've hardly worn it since then."

I started wading out to the deeper end of the pool,not quite sure what to say next...Alex had me tied up in knots,I was nervous,excited,happy and a little scared at the immensity of my feelings...Calm down,take a deep breath
I turned around once I was mid way in the pool..."So have you ever taken a moonlight swim with a girl before?" I asked

I scoff. "Yeah, in my dreams!" I tell her. "Well unless you count swimming in Miss Gertrude's parents pool as a child...God that was awful. "Family friends" my dad calls them. But Miss Gertrude never got on. And we never will I can tell you that much!" I say darkly.

I quickly swam to catch up with her. "You aren't trying to get away from me are you?" I asked.

I look at Isabel suspiciously. Yup...shes avoiding me. Great.
Well if she doesn't want to talk about it then fine.
"Okay then" I say before swimming off to the deep end and starting to do laps of the pool.

I sighed in exasperation...this was Alex's solution to everything...AVOID THE TOPIC..."Alex don't be a jerk" I said loudly "I'm a little nervous...there I said it.Are you happy now?"

I stop swimming and look up at her. "A jerk? Because I didn't press the matter why you were lying to me? You know what if that makes me a jerk Isabel then I'm sorry, but you seemed to not want to talk about it so I didn't. Cos you know what, I would rather tell he truth for example right now, Im VERY nervous, and pretty angry with myself for you getting angry at me. Happy?" I ask before starting to swim to the steps to get out.

"Ok. There I've stopped walking away. Happy? Or is there something else you want to do? For example, feel like calling me a jerk a few more times because you didnt want to talk about something so I stopped the conversation like a gentlemen, or hey do you just want me to say something embarrassing like I' am so angry with myself right now because we're fighting and your looking like that, and all I want to do is kiss you" I tell her.
I stop and instantly regretted ranting.
"This is why I walk away, because I really didnt want to do something stupid like that" I mumble.

"Has anyone ever told you that you are exasperating and cute at the same time?" I asked as I started swimming towards him,once my feet hit the floor I started walking
"I am nervous because I haven't been in a situation like this before...you know...in a pool with a guy I am madly in love with.I felt stupid,that's why I wasn't saying anything."
