I chuckle as I keep my eyes on Maria, who is picking up my lamp and trying to get it to work again. "As much as I'd love to keep a doctor at my beck and call, one particular comes to mind, I can't take credit for that crash. My best friend was shamelessly eavesdropping on me," I tell him. I sigh dramatically. "I suppose I should go, Max. I'm sorry."
And I'm surprised to realize that I really am. I've enjoyed talking to him and unlike most females in my age group, I hate talking on the phone. He seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Making sure I fill my glass of water before emerging I go out into the main room again and sit down on the couch. "So what are we talking about?" I ask.

Friday night - the weekend has finally arrived!
After the guys surprised me at home, the week was rather quiet, didn't hear much from them, only heard that we are invited tonight at Liz's for a party. With *we* I don't only mean Michael, Max, Kyle and myself but also Liz and her friends Maria, Tess and the lovely Isabel Evans.
Max and I haven't really talked about the fact that I was out with his sister on Monday. Not that it was a date or anything but it is still an unsolved issue between us. Maybe it will be cleared tonight.
Getting my cell phone, I quickly dial Isabel's number, so I know when she arrives at the party, maybe I can time my arrival with hers. Pathetic you say? See if I care!

I will be seeing Alex tonight and that makes me happy.Work has kept both of us mainly busy the entire week so we haven't really been able to spend any substantial amount of time together.
Tying the strings of my sequined pink halter neck top together behind my neck I glance at the clock.I'm well in time.I can easily leave in fifteen minutes and I'll still undoubtedly be the first to arrive as usual.
Slipping in to a short little denim skirt I make my way across my bedroom to get a pair of strappy heels out of the closet when my phone rings,I notice Alex's number flashing on the screen and I grin,"Hello Mr Whitman."

Isabel has a great voice, even on the phone it sounds amazing. I like hearing her voice. Did I mention it is a great voice?

I really would hate if she's busy right now and I'm interrupting her. I've heard that women can be picky when disturbed while getting ready for a night out. Hm, maybe she has the time to give me a few tips what I should wear. This way, I'd make sure I wear something she likes.
