Here is the next part, just a little warning. I can't see Tess going down without a fight, nor do I picture Max in this fic as the most intelligent being.
Just remember, no matter what, Max may not be the smartest person, but I believe I've captured who the real brains in the relationship is and that person will save the day. So have a little faith prior to throwing flames.
Thanks!

Part 47
Max and Liz held each other in silence, both with their own personal fears of what was to come as they awaited the return of their loved ones. Liz already accepting her fate, Max trying desperately to find an alternative solution to their problem. As if timed perfectly Michael, Maria and Isabelle all returned together. The young couple looked into their friends eyes to see if any of them were able to come up with a solution that didn't include risking any of their lives. It was Max that took on the leadership role once again. "What we decide today effects all of us. This isn't just my decision to make." He turned his honey eyes on Maria. "What's your opinion?"
Maria held Max's eyes, surprised evident that he would ask her opinion first. Then she glanced at her life long friend and Liz knew what her decision was. It was the only solution, she knew it and now she knew that her best friend understood it also. She looked over at Michael, then Isabelle and saw the same regret in both their eyes. There wasn't any solution that didn't have some risk, but what it came down to was the fact that she trusted her life in Max's hands. It was as simple as that. So before Maria could answer Max's question and say what she already knew she was going to say, Liz stepped forward and placed a reassuring hand upon Max's arm. "Max." She whispered to get his attention.
Turning back to face Liz, he already knew what she was going to say. Already shaking his head in denial. Unwilling to accept putting Liz's life at risk was the only way. "Max, listen to me. You already transferred the encoding to me and nothing bad happened. I trust you Max, I know you. You won't let anything happen to me. Max, it's the only way." Liz spoke softly, but her determination was evident in her voice.
Isabelle could see the turmoil her brother was in, she had already accepted that Liz was correct. There was no other solution that would be acceptable, yet if anything did go wrong. She also knew her brother would never be able to forgive himself. Hurting Liz went against everything in his nature. Yet at the same time she had just as much faith in her brother as Liz did and seeing how much Liz did trust her brother made Isabelle once again amazed at the depth of their love. Wanting to show her brother that she too had faith in him, she also spoke up. "She's right Max, you can do it."
Max turned his head toward his sister and could see she understood his reasons behind not wanting to take the risk, but still had enough faith in him to assure him everything would be okay. He looked over to Michael who surprisingly was shaking his head. "Michael?" He knew why Liz would be willing to accept the risk and could understand Maria taking Liz's side. He could even understand why his sister would be accepting the risk as she had always been the one to stand beside him and offer her support. But, Michael's emotions didn't override his logical side and he needed to hear his opinion.
"I don't know Maxwell. It's not that I have any doubts that you could do the transfer successfully. It's what happens after that." He looked directly at Liz as he continued. "I don't think you really understand what your getting herself into. You won't just gain Tess's powers, you'll have to use them. Max, Isabelle, Tess and me were put here for a reason. There are enemies out there that we will have to face someday. Are you ready to go into a battle?" He looked back to Max. "Can you honestly say you could have Liz fighting in a war, with her life at risk and be able to concentrate fully on the battle. Or would your mind be too preoccupied with concern for Liz's safety?"
It was Maria that stepped in before Max could reply. "Michael, can you honestly state that you would feel more prepared to go into a battle against your enemies with Tess then with Liz. Or better yet, do you honestly think Max wouldn't be thinking about Liz's safety even if she wasn't there in the middle of the battle. No matter how you look at it, Liz is bonded to Max. If your enemies do any research at all on you guys at all they are going to figure that out. Liz is endanger no matter which way you look at it. Transferring Tess's powers to Liz will only help her to protect herself if or when the time comes that she needs that kind of protection. It's not like Max or you or Isabelle can be around her 24/7 for the rest of her life. Not to mention..."
Max stepped in-between the two of them, knowing Maria was on a babbling spree and Michael was about to argue back. So he interrupted Maria in mid sentence. "Okay you guys, I think we've got the picture. I appreciate everyone's input, but I think Liz and I need to talk...to Tess." He paused for a moment to listen for the shouting to start, thinking his sister and friends would go ballistic at the idea of him and Liz speaking to Tess privately. But, to his surprise no shouts of denial came. It was clear that they all understood. He reached out his hand to Liz and she took it, clearly showing him she trusted his judgment. Hand and hand the two of them walked back into the pod chamber to face Tess on their terms this time.
Tess was still hung up on the wall, but her confidence was clearly starting to waver. Trying to keep his emotions under control at the sight of Tess once again, Max begun to speak. "Tess, I wish you could have accepted my friendship. I truly believe that we could have been friends, but friendship would never be enough for you and I can't ever forgive and forget what you did. I will not live my life in fear of what you will do next to me or my love ones. The bottom line is I don't trust you Tess and I would never be able to trust you enough to place my life or the lives of my family in your hands when we would need you against our enemies. Because of the lack of faith I have in you, you've left me with no choice. I am going to connect with you and see if I can determine the part of your brain that contains your unique powers. Then I will be transferring your powers to Liz and...."
"NO! You can't do that!" Even beaten, Tess was determined not to give Liz any more then she already had. She had been a fool to allow the transfer of the encoding to Liz, there was no way in hell she was going to allow Liz to have her powers too.
"I can, I will." Max's voice remained calm, but determined all the same. "You can make this easy on herself and help ensure the transfer goes smoothly or you can make this difficult. If you choose to fight me, I will not guarantee your survival." He narrowed his eyes at her to make sure she understood his next words. "Saving you is not my priority." He then turned to Liz. "I need to see if it's possible before I even attempt to try the transfer." Letting her know he would need to connect to Tess prior to even considering the procedure itself. Also, letting her know that she is his priority when it comes to her well being.
Tess watched the way Max spoke with Liz, saw the concern in his eyes for Liz. Everything was always about Liz as far as Max was concerned.
Knowing she only had one way out of this, she waited for Max to turn back to her, then stated. "You know her brain isn't ready for this, you say you love her, yet your ready to kill her just because you have doubts about trusting me. If you really feel that strongly, then I won't stop you. But, when this doesn't work and Liz is dead. Don't blame me and hate me when the encoding comes back to me."
"That's the problem Tess, I already hate you." Max snapped back. He knew that Tess was goading him, speaking out loud his own personal fears to stop him from completing the transfer. He knew a part of him was being selfish and if Tess hadn't crossed that final line in the dream world, he might have been able to forgive her. But, she did cross the line and now there was no way he would ever be able to trust her ever again. He stepped up close and personal to Tess, reaching his hands up, he grasped her head and looked directly into her eyes to form the connection between them.
The connection took little effort to obtain and Max's healing hands went to work to locate that part of Tess's brain that held her special capabilities. Flashes of Tess's life ran through his mind in quick sensations. He could feel her fear and loneliness during her years being brought up by Nasedo. Her excitement the first time she saw his sister, Michael and himself and her hopes of finally belonging. He could feel how much she truly believed his feelings for Liz were only an infatuation and how positive she was he would accept her as his destiny once he met her. Her disappoint at the cave when he pushed her away. Her confusion when she first met Robert and the feelings he had stirred in her. Her humiliation and disgust when they had allowed the encoding to rule over their feelings that first time at the ranch. Her acceptance of his friendship when she had gave up the encoding to Liz. Then the rage of fury that swept through her when Robert had left her.
He could feel the hurt turning to anger and that anger turning to hate, hate for Liz who she blamed for Robert leaving. That same hatred turning darker and darker against Liz until she refused to believe that he would love Liz and not her. Her satisfaction that she had been able to give him pleasure, if only in their dream and knowing in her heart that she was loved. That someone would be able to love her and allow her to love back in return. Through the flashes two over riding emotions played over and over in Max's mind. Her hatred for Liz and what she believed in her heart was her love for him.
Max tried to ignore the on slaught of feelings that were invading his mind from Tess. Not understanding how anyone could possible hate Liz as much as Tess did and truly believe that she loved him. He sought out the area in her brain that he had been looking for and once he knew exactly what he needed from Tess he didn't hesitate to break the connection. Her feelings of hatred toward Liz to overwhelming for him to take one-second longer. He hadn't even realized he was crying until Liz's hand touched his face to wipe away the tears that were falling down his cheeks. He grabbed her hand immediately, not wanting her to feel the lingering feelings of hate inside of him from his connection to Tess for her. "Max?" Liz whispered his name in hopes that she could bring him out of his trance like state, but he only shook his head and held his hand up to indicate he needed a moment.
In order to complete the transfer, Max knew he would have to connect Tess and Liz together. His concern for Liz grew a hundred times more, knowing how she would feel when Tess's feelings for her were made aware in the most intimate way. How was he supposed to allow the love of his life to feel that much hatred toward herself? Or even worst, how would she respond knowing Tess's true feelings for him? Finally he turned to Liz. "I need to speak to Tess alone." He had to make Tess see that it wasn't Liz's fault. He had to try to convince Tess that Liz wasn't the enemy and that what she thought was true love for him wasn't even real
before he could connect the two women together to make the transfer.
Liz was taken back by Max's request. Unsure of his reasoning, but trusting him completely, she nodded her consent and walked out of the cave. As much as she wanted to stand beside Max and support him, this was his battle now and she had faith he would make the right decision.
Max watched Liz climb through the pod chamber door, then placed his hand on the wall and sealed the door closed. He stood at the doorway, his back to Tess trying to figure out the best way to approach her, to make her understand once and for all. Taking a deep breath he turned to face Tess only to see that her face was contorted in pain and tears were running rapidly down her own face. "Tess?" He whispered her name to get her attention, unsure what to make of her tears. Only moments ago he had been connected to her and could only feel so much hatred coming from her, it was hard to believe someone with that much hate inside of them could feel enough to form tears.
"I've been so stupid." She cried out. "I actually thought you could care about me. I was created for you, made to please you and you...you hate me. I actually thought you wanted me, that you were only denying your feelings because of her. But, that's not the truth. The truth is you really do hate me."
Momentarily Max's heart softened toward the blond alien. Hate wasn't in his nature and it didn't come easily to him. He realized that when he had connected to Tess that not only did he see her thoughts and feel her feelings, but she had also seen his, felt his. He automatically moved closer to her, his heart unable to deny the need to comfort an individual who appeared to be in so much pain, even Tess. "Tess, you can't continue to blame yourself or Liz for the way I feel or don't feel." He stated as he continued to move closer to her until he stood directly in front of her. "I'm the one who bonded myself to Liz, I'm the one that fell in love with Liz. We're part human Tess and the human side in us, doesn't listen to reason when it comes to our hearts and what our hearts want. I'm sorry I can't love you the way you want me to, but my heart will always belong to Liz..Always."
Max touched her arm to try to help soothe her pain that she was so obviously in. Tess raised her tear streaked face to his the moment he touched her arm. "I know, I've been such a fool. I blamed Liz all this time, when I should have blamed YOU!" Before Max could process what she had just said, he found himself being thrown to the cave floor hard enough to knock the wind temporarily out of his lungs. In an instant Tess was on top of him and his hands were pinned to the floor of the cave, along with his legs. "You are such a fool Max. Do you honestly believe I would allow you to take my powers away without a fight? Human emotions are so weak, they make you pathetic. A few tears and your already to forgive me. Forgive me for what exactly, giving you pleasure. God knows that pathetic human whore of yours would never be able to give you the kind of pleasure you could get if only you allowed yourself to feel your alien side just once. You hide behind your human emotions. You try to deny who you really are, what you really are. Love, that's a joke Max. Our planet isn't ruled by emotions. Yes, we enjoy the pleasure of unions between two individual's, but love is just a human emotion that doesn't even exist on our planet. You may hate me and you may not trust me, but I am going to show you once and for all what real pleasure is all about. I will conceive your child and return to our home with the heir safely in my womb and then I will have all the power I will ever need."
With one swipe of her hands, both of their clothing disappeared. As in the dream, Tess noticed Max's lack of response to her body being up close and personal to his. But, she knew how to take care of that issue. Without hesitation she placed her finger upon his unwilling penis and sent a jolt of power into him. Stimulating his nerves within his cock causing it to harden and ejaculate instantly. "Oh GOODDDDDD!"
Max screamed out unable to believe what Tess had just done. Never in his life had he ever experienced anything like it and as much as his human side hated it, the alien side within him was taking over. Tess continued to send pleasure bolts of power again and again, wanting to teach him once and for all what he was missing by being with his human whore. She brought him just to the edge over and over only to stop her treatment denying him the ability to cum again.
She watched as Max's eyes began to turn black with alien lust. It was what Nasedo had always told her would happen once they allowed their alien side to come forth. "Do you want me to stop or are you ready to feel the full pleasure of mating with an alien like yourself?" She brought him just to the point of explosion as she asked her question, then waited for his response. Hoping that now that he had some small taste of what awaited him, he would finally make the right choice.
