Liz

I wont lie and tell you that when I found out Max hadn’t sent the flowers and really had forgotten my birthday that I wasn’t destroyed because the truth is I am. I’ve just decided that I’m not going to let him ruin my birthday. My parents have gone to so much trouble and so many people are coming tonight to celebrate, I am not going to let the fact that the most important person in my life forgot my birthday ruin it when so many other fabulous people didn’t.

So that’s why I’m walking around in my new black bikini and see through sarong putting the finishing touches on the party out near the pool.

‘Hey chica’ Maria smiles as she emerges from the house dressed in a similar outfit to mine, except hers is blue. Her and Isabel showed up about 3 hours ago with lots of ice cream and let me cry and rant and then bitch myself back to a happy birthday. I’m so lucky to have such good friends.

‘You look hot Lizzie’ Alex tells me as he follows Maria out of the house in a pair of boardies and a very bright Hawaiian shirt. I chose a beach theme for the party since we were going to have it out near the pool

‘You look very handsome too’ I grin.

People have started to arrive so we decide to start playing a couple of songs. I tell the guys which song I really want to start with and they all laugh at me. But hey a girl has to vent.

I’m half way through the song when I notice that Isabel has arrived with a trailing Max behind her. If I hadn’t seen what a puppy with its tail between his legs looked like before I’d certainly know now.

I’m trying my hardest not to look at him at the moment but he’s wearing a pair of black boardies and a white wife beater that show’s off all his scrumptious muscles.

Max

I’m the worst boyfriend in the world, I’m no better than the scum on the bottom of your shoes and that’s what I feel like right now. When I saw the disappointment in Liz’s eyes when she realised that I had no idea what she was talking about with the flowers I thought my heart was going to shatter. She was so disappointed in me and I never wanted to ever see her look at me like that.

Of course I copped a reaming by both Isabel and Maria and Alex and Michael wont speak to me but none of it was worse then having to explain to my mum why my sister won’t speak to me.

Then there is Tess.

Earlier that Day

‘So Max what time?’ she asks again when I don’t answer.

‘Actually Tess, Liz and I cant make it so we’ll have to do it some other time’ I tell her.

‘Oh I thought it was just the two of us?’ she asks me.

‘I never said that’ I defend myself.

‘So how come?’ she asks.

‘Well it’s Liz’s birthday and she’s having a party tonight. I completely forgot about the movies Tess. Sorry’ I tell her. I try to turn the situation around because the last thing I want is for Tess to get the impression that I forgot my girlfriend’s birthday event though I technically did.

‘Well maybe I could come with you to the party’ she smiles at me, but it’s what’s hidden behind the smile that worries me.

‘No you cant come’ Maria snaps then ‘it’s a party for Liz and her friends and Liz cant stand you’ she yells causing all the people in the hall to turn and look at her.

‘Well it’s not really up to you is it Deluca. If Max wants to take me that’s up to him’ she bites back with a smile.

Whoa the old Tess re-emerges.

‘Look Tess. Liz is my girlfriend so I’m going to the party with her. I want to be able to be your friend but it’s obvious that you don’t want to be just my friend’ I tell her.

‘Yeah that and the fact she’s been lying to you Maxwell’ Michael tells me then.

‘What do you mean?’ I ask.

‘Paid a visit to Tess’s Mum yesterday and it seems as though she’s in great health not to mention that Tess’s Dad got himself a great job in Clovis and Tessy dear here actually just got herself a new car during the break’ he informs me.

Oh god what have I done. I’m so naive, I’ve been trying to be a friend to Tess because I thought she was going through a hard time whilst all the while ruining my relationship with me dream girl and it’s been a scheme on Tess’s part.

‘What the hell’ I turn angrily towards Tess.

‘Max it’s not what you think’ she tells me

‘Well it certainly sounds like you’ve been lying your ass of. WHY?’ I snap.

‘God don’t you get it. I like you Max and you won’t even look at me. I was your friend when everyone else thought you were a reject for fuck sake and as soon as you loose your dorky image Parker snaps her fingers and you go running. Is she that good of a fuck Max?’

‘When are you going to get it through your thick head that I don’t like you like that Tess. I wanted to be your friend because no one else did, that’s it. I don’t know how to tell you in any other language but I’ll learn if it means you’ll finally take the hint’ I yell at her.

‘And as for Liz this has nothing to do with her. She has always been my friend so that just proves what kind of a friend you’ve been all along that you didn’t even notice. And not that it’s any of your business Tess but yeah she is a fucking dream in bed’ I finish before storming off.

TBC .... next part Wednesday and Liz and Max will finally have a chat!! the next two parts will be rough sailing people so be prepared.

Part 22
Max

I can’t help but smile at the song Liz was singing. They have played a few more since then but I know I deserved it.

You see the thing is I did send those flowers to Liz. I arranged it weeks ago because if I didn’t get in and order them I knew I wouldn’t get white roses but with everything going on with Tess and Liz and I not talking much this week I completely forgot. And as I told my sister and Maria I’ve also had Liz’s present for a few weeks too, I just saw it and knew I wanted it for her but I’m just not sure she’s going to accept it.

The band stops playing for a while so that Liz can enjoy the party and mingle with her guests. She tries to stay away from me but eventually she runs out of people to greet and I am able to pull her away.

‘Hi’ I smile shyly.

‘Hi. What are you doing here? I though you had a date for the movies’ she snaps.

I sigh I knew this wasn’t going to be easy but I never expected such a cool reception.

‘I’m so sorry baby. The flowers they were from me I organised them a few weeks ago to make sure you got your favourite. I know that I’m the worst boyfriend in the world and I feel like scum for what I’ve put you through.’ I tell her.

She nods her head as if accepting my apology. I try to pull her closer to me and she comes eventually but she’s very stiff in my arms.

‘Happy birthday beautiful’ I whisper before I start to move our bodies in a slow dance. She doesn’t pull away so I take that as a good sign but she also doesn’t give in to me either, she remains stiff and tense.

‘Can we go somewhere so I can talk to you and give you your present in private?’ I ask her then and I can tell by the look on her face that’s she surprised I have a gift for her.

‘I may have forgotten your birthday was today this week but I’ve actually been planning for this day since my birthday. Too bad I ruined everything’ I tell her.

She takes my offered hand and lets me lead her into the house and up the stairs. Our parents see us go and I assume they don’t say anything because my mum has informed them what’s going on.

When we enter the room she notices the big box on her bed with a huge bow and turns questioning eyes at me.

‘That’s your first present I’d hoped that we would get the chance to enjoy it tonight ’ I shrug and then shift nervously

She sits down then and carefully opens the box and pulls apart the tissue paper revealing the black lace teddy that I picked from Victoria’s Secret. I was completely embarrassed when I first entered the shop but luckily I didn’t run into anyone I knew and the sales lady was very helpful.

‘It’s beautiful’ she tells me with a small smile.

‘Well we both know that you like your lacy underwear and you certainly have me hooked now too’ I grin at her before moving to take a seat next to her on the bed.

‘Thanks’ she smiles genuinely then.

I pull the box out of my pocket and hand it to her. It’s a small square box and she slowly unwraps it.

She gasps when she opens the lid revealing the gold ring with the topaz stone. I already have the matching earrings and necklace ready for Christmas. I take the box out of her hand and remove the ring from it.

‘This isn’t what I had planned or how I wanted to give this to you but the reasoning behind it hasn’t changed. I love you Liz and I bought this for you to show you how much and so that everyone else would also know how much I love you. The lady at the jeweller called it a promise ring’ I smile.

‘Max’ she interrupts. I look up at her and I can see she has tears in her eyes.

‘I can’t accept it’ she tells me then.

‘What?’ I asked confused. I realise that I’m a long way from being forgiven but I never dreamt she wouldn’t want my present.

‘I can’t accept it’ she says again and by now there are tears flowing down her face.

‘Why?’ I ask her.

‘Because right now a promise wont mean anything. The fact that Tess was able to come between us so easily means that what we have wasn’t very secure or real and I don’t think I can go through a week like this again.’ she tells me.

‘Liz I know I made a terrible mistake trusting Tess and I know I stuffed up but it wasn’t about us. I just didn’t want to be one of those people who dropped their friends when they got a girlfriend and I just got so caught up in things that your birthday slipped my mind. I’m so sorry I don’t know what else to say’ I plead. I can’t believe she doesn’t want my present.

‘I don’t think you can say anything else’ she cries ‘Let’s just try to be friends again’ she tells me.

Liz

Oh god what am I doing. The man I love is sitting here almost in tears because I wont accept his beautiful present and I’m just sitting here. Then to make it worse I tell him I want to be friends, did I just break up with the guy I’ve been in love with since I don’t know? Forever.

‘I’m sorry’ I start to cry. I’m not sure if I’m apologising for breaking his heart or for breaking my own. But all I can think about is that something that I thought was so perfect and that was true love turned out so wrong and hurt me so badly.

He doesn’t reply though he sits up and places the ring back in its box and shoves it into his pocket as he stands up. He turns his back to me and I see him wipe the tears away from his eyes before he turns back around.

‘Um no I’m sorry’ he says before leaning down and pressing a kiss against my forehead ‘Happy birthday Lizzie’ he tells me before walking towards the door.

‘I should just go and let you enjoy the rest of your night’ he says then.

‘No!’ I cry out ‘you don’t have to go I mean we’re still friends’ I say and I see him physically pale at my words.

‘I don’t want to be your friend Liz’ he tells me quietly ‘I want so much more than that and I don’t think I can settle for just friends’

‘Please don’t just leave’ I beg him then and eventually he nods his head before turning and making his way down to the party. I’m about to follow when my Mum knocks on the door.

‘Hey, you ok?’ she asks and I shake my head.

‘I just saw Max and he didn’t look ok either’ she says then.

‘You know I realise that he hurt you this week forgetting your birthday but don’t you think by doing this that your hurting yourself and him a whole lot more’ she tells me.

‘Think about it Liz but don’t be too long people are wondering where you are and we’ll have your cake soon’ she says before giving me a kiss on the cheek and exiting.

TBC.... Hmm Saturday at this stage.

Part 23
Liz

I sit in my room fiddling with the lace of the beautiful negligee Max bought me and think about what my mother said.

I know that I love Max and I know that apart from what’s been happening this week that I’ve never felt happier or more content in my life then during the past month with him. Do I want to break up with him and only be his friend? I know the answer to that is no but I also don’t want to hurt again like I have this week and especially today.

The one thing I realise whilst I’m thinking about all these things is that Tess won. She set out this week spreading rumours and making up all the lies about her mother to break Max and I up and it worked and that makes me so angry because we let her. I had thought that our relationship was stronger than that and it wasn’t and I think that’s what hurts the most.

I realise then that there’s no way that I’m going to just hand over my boyfriend, the guy I love to the likes of Tess Harding, things aren’t completely lost yet between us so I fix my face up with some make up and rush down the stairs.

I look around the crowd trying to find him and I see him standing over talking to Isabel quietly and I’m just about to go to him when Maria grabs hold of me.

‘I’ve been looking for you everywhere’ she tells me ‘Come on we’re going to start up again’ she says before dragging me towards the stage we had set up to play on.

‘Maria wait I need to talk to Max’ I tell her.

‘You’ve been talking to him for ages already lets play before everyone gets bored and goes home’ she argues.

I turn to Alex and Michael who both shrug ‘Ok 3 songs and I’m done and I want to change the last one to the new one ok’ I tell them and they all agree.

Max

I hear her voice singing and I can’t help but stare and listen. I just want to get out of here before someone says something and I just break down in front of all these people. I can’t believe that it’s all over and that I lost her so easily.

I didn’t tell Isabel that we broke up I didn’t want to ruin her night or Liz’s because I know Iz will bombard us all with questions.

‘Hey guys this is a new song I started writing it this week and finished it today so bare with us cause it’s still new’ her angelic voice sounds over the microphone causing me to stop. I love her singing but I also love her music, her words are so beautiful so I force myself to stop and listen.

Liz

I know I can be a little stubborn sometimes

Because I believe that we can work things out

I can see that Max is moving towards the back of the pool area and most likely towards the exit and I sigh in relief when I see him stop and turn to listen. I’m singing this for him now; I just pray he’ll stay.

I let the tears fall freely down my face and take the opportunity with the break in the song to try and get myself under control. Most of the people at the party are oblivious to my tears because they are too wrapped up in their partners or someone else that they’re dancing with. Well everyone except the one person that matters, Max.

‘I’m sorry’ I mouth to him. He’s standing at the back still with his hands back in his pockets and I can see the tears running down his face as well.

When I open my eyes from singing the last chorus I find that Max is gone. I look around to try and find him but I can’t see him anywhere. My heart immediately falls and I realise that I’ve ruined the best thing that ever happened to me because I was too stubborn and too afraid to put my heart on the line and forgive him.

Max

Have I mentioned yet how much I love this girl? Just when I think she can’t be more perfect she goes and takes my breath away. I realise when I listen to the words of the song and to her singing it that she want to forgive me and that she hasn’t given up on us yet so when the song winds down I weave my way through people so I can get to her as quickly as possible. I see her searching for me in the crowd just as I reach the side of the stage I don’t wait for anything and I don’t care whose watching, I stalk right on there and pull her into my arms and fuse our lips together.

Liz

He comes out of nowhere and then his mouth is devouring mine. I’m so shocked at first that I don’t respond but when I feel him pulling away dejectedly I quickly snap into action and winding my arms around his neck I pull him back down to my mouth.

We kiss until we have no choice but to pull away and even then I don’t let him get far away and he rests his forehead against mine.

‘I love you’ he whispers

‘I love you too’ I reply. We become aware then that we have an audience but before we get the chance to talk I see my mum and Diane coming towards me with a cake lined with 18 candles.

Part 24
Liz

‘Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Liz. Happy birthday to you’ everyone starts singing. My mum places the cake on a table so I let Max help me step down from the stage and move forward. I refuse to let go of his hand though so I pull him with me as I blow out the candles.

My Dad thanks everyone for coming then and I spend the next half an hour opening all the beautiful presents that I got, and believe me there were some fabulous ones but none of them come close to my car or the present that Max presented me earlier that I wouldn’t accept.

When I’m finally got through the formal things that I’m expected I finally get the chance to turn back to Max who was still standing by my side holding my hand. I let him guide me away from everyone and back into the house. The minute we have even a small amount of privacy he pulls me back into his arms. Our mouths seek out each other and our tongues gently duel I’ve missed being in his arms and kissing him. I’ve just missed him. I can feel the wetness of tears on his face and I know he must feel mine as well. When we pull away I immediately tell him what I wanted to tell him the minute I realised what I’d done.

‘I’m so sorry, I don’t want to break up that’s the last thing I want’ I cry.

He smiles at me then ‘Okay can I try this again?’ he asks and then pulls out the little black box that holds my birthday present. He removes the ring and slides it on the middle finger of my right hand.

‘It’s beautiful’ I sigh admiring it again ‘Thank you so much baby’ I smile up at him.

‘No thank you’ he replies before pulling me to him and sealing our lips back to each other.

Max

I’m lying in my bed and even though I’m totally exhausted from all the events of the day, sleep just wont come to me. I cant believe that in a space of the day I lost my dream girl thus causing my life to fall apart and then somehow got her back. I don’t know how I got lucky enough to have her forgive me and take me back but I wont deny how happy I am about it. I know that we still have a lot to talk about and that I have a lifetime of grovelling to do to make it up to her but I’ll do it, all of it happily if it means that the beautiful, smart, kind girl that is Liz Parker is mine.

I spent the remainder of the party by her side, neither of us wanting to be apart from each other unless necessary and I only got home an hour ago and even then I was the last person to leave, and only because Nancy and Jeff practically kicked me out of the house.

I’m lying on my back with my hands behind my head still trying to let sleep overcome me when I hear footsteps, or what sounds like footsteps padding up the stairs and growing closer. The next thing I hear is the sound of someone trying to open my door quietly, they enter and then close the door behind them, and if I’m not mistaken I hear the sound of the door locking as well.

I don’t move or make a sound. I’m not scared for some reason I just know its not someone there to hurt me and when the light from the moon that is casting in through my open window hits the person my breath catches. There is my angel standing at the edge of my bed watching me, she’s biting on her lower lip and looks like she’s debating whether to wake me up or not.

I open my eyes completely then and hear her gasp when she realises that I’m awake and I can see her.

‘Hi’ she whispers but I can see a smile on her face now.

‘Hi yourself’ I reply grinning as I sit myself up on my elbows. I see her eyes raking up and down my body and that’s when I realise that I’m only wearing a pair of satin boxers like usual. She begins to walk towards the side of the bed and I take in her appearance. Her hair is hanging free and she’s wearing a red satin robe that finishes very high on her thigh, my eyes continue down to her feet which are covered in what I can only describe as fuck me heels. She must have taken them off to be able to sneak into the house I realise.

I scratch my ear nervously before I ask her what’s she doing here at 2 o’clock in the morning

‘I was lonely’ she answers before taking another step closer to the bed; she is now close enough that I can touch her, which I happily do.

I reach our and caress her hip ‘Well we cant have that now can we’ I smile.

‘No and besides I was lying in bed and I realised that I didn’t really thank you for my other birthday present’ she tells me then and I’m a bit confused because after she finally did accept the ring which I can see is still on her finger she certainly thanked me. I can still taste her from the passionate kiss she gave me.

‘Didn’t you?’ I ask.

‘Uh ah’ she shakes her head whilst her hands are fiddling with the ties on her robe. I watch as she slowly unties it and lets it fall open revealing the black lace teddy I bought her.

‘Oh god’ I groan taking in her stunning appearance. I knew it was going to look good on her when I bought it but I never actually imagined how sexy she would look.

She pushes the robe of her shoulders then leaving her standing there in only the lace teddy and the fuck me heels.

‘So was this kind of what you had in mind when you were buying this for me?’ she asks me then in a very husky voice. I sit up on the bed and throw my legs over the side so that I’m facing her completely; she’s so close she’s practically standing in between my legs.

I run my hands up her legs and rest them on her hips ‘Actually I was a little more focused on taking it off’ I tell her before pulling her towards me.

Liz

When I first enter his room I thought that I’d made a huge mistake but by the way that Max is loving my body right now that thought immediately flies right out the window.

His mouth has made its way from mine and down my body until he reaches my breasts. He’s caressing them with his hands before he leans forwards and sucks my lace covered nipple into his mouth. When he’s made it hard as a rock from his ministrations he moves to the next one and loves it in the same way. Did I mention that this guy has the most wonderful mouth? Everywhere he uses it wreaks havoc on my body and brings me to orgasm. I never thought someone could orgasm because of their breasts but Max proved that theory wrong on a few occasions during our back of the car make out moments when making love wasn’t always an option.

‘Oh god’ I moan at the feeling.

‘You can call me Max baby’ he mumbles against my breast.

I cant help but giggle a little at his joke ‘I know you like me to scream it baby but I don’t think tonight is the appropriate time’ I tell him.

‘No your right so you’ll just have to whisper it over and over and over again’ he tells me in a breathy whisper as he trails kisses down my body until he reaches the apex of my thighs. I allow him to part my legs widely so his body can move in between them and I watch has he leans forward and smells my arousal.

‘Fuck me’ I groan, I can’t believe he’s smelling me, smelling how much I want him and that’s a hell of a lot believe me.

He doesn’t respond though he leans forward licks my lower lips and I jerk my hips up in reaction and before I know what’s going on he is using his teeth to open the button holding my teddy together. ‘Yeah lets get this over with’ I reply sending one last smile at Max before heading the direction of Tess. I wasn’t into confrontations to tell you the truth I wasn’t the type of person that ever wanted or tried to be popular it just kind of happened.

The whole table looks up at me when I approach.

‘Hi Liz’ Pam smiles and the rest of the girls join her.

‘Hi Pam, Courtney, Vicky’ I reply with a smile of my own.

‘Liz how’s it going?’ Kyle asks coming over to me.

Wow speak of the devil I cant help but think this when I look up from my conversation and see the object of my every dream standing in front of me looking pissed. Tess and I had been talking about a plan of action to get her and Evan’s away from each other. I don’t like Tess but it seems that she has it bad for Max and since I want Liz back, getting Max out of the picture is a must, and being the skank that she is I think Tess is the girl for the job.

I’ve heard the rumours like everyone else about Max and Liz having sex in the eraser room and I know it’s a load of bullshit. I mean this is Liz we’re talking about. I couldn’t even get past second base with her so I doubt Evan’s has the moves to hit home.

‘Actually Kyle things are fantastic’ she smiles as me.

‘That good hey?’ I ask. I’m a little confused I didn’t expect her to look this happy about her break up.

‘Yep’

‘So I heard about you and Evan’s I mean that’s too bad but I was wondering if maybe you wanted to catch a movie with me this weekend?’ I ask her.

Liz

‘Oh so you heard about me and Max?’ I reply dumbly.

‘Did Tess tell you?’ I smile over at the girl who was trying to appear as though she didn’t care about my conversation with Kyle but she was failing.

‘Um yeah’ he replies without thinking.

‘Oh well then that explains why you know shit’ I laugh. Don’t get me wrong I like Kyle but if he’s plotting with Tess then I consider him an enemy too.

I stalk over to Tess then ‘I’m going to say this once and once only so I suggest you listen good skank’ I tell her, by now I have the attention of the entire quad.

‘If I so much as hear a single untrue rumour again about my boyfriend or I see you touch him again I will crush you’ I seethe. ‘You are nobody Tess and even Max cant stand your skanky ass. So stop spreading lies around about my relationship’ I warn.

‘Well if Max doesn’t want me around he’ll have to tell me himself, didn’t seem that way when he asked me out last week’ she replies smugly, I know she’s just trying to get on me nerves so I don’t let her little comment effect me.

‘Oh is that what this is all about. I’m sorry Tess but I thought you realised that Max just feels sorry for you. I mean you have no friends and you were sprouting your looser story about your mother. I guess if I was in love with someone who couldn’t stand me I might be a little delusional too’ I laugh.

I can see Tess gritting her teeth, she knows if she says the wrong thing to me she’ll be committing social suicide the thing she doesn’t realise is that she already did. See right now I’m standing the same position Tess had been a million times in Junior year before she fell out of popularity.

‘Seems as though someone’s a little threatened’ she says sarcastically.

I smile then ‘by you?’ I say and then laugh ‘you see Tess I don’t have to worry about you because I know who Max loves and who he wants didn’t you got that message loud and clear yesterday’ I tell her.

She doesn’t respond then and I know I’m done here.

‘Keep your mouth shut Tess’ I warn once more.

I turn and walk away then intending on heading back to my boyfriends loving arms when I hear Pam and Courtney telling Tess to get lost. I bite back a smile of victory then because I just got what I wanted. It didn’t feel good though, I never was the type of person who made themselves feel better by putting others down but I’ll make an exception in this case if it means that Tess Harding never comes near my boyfriend again.

I was almost back to our table where I knew Max would be waiting for me when I heard Kyle calling after me.

I stopped and turned around waiting for him to reach me ‘What is it Kyle?’ I ask impatiently. I can feel Max’s eyes burning my back.

‘I just wanted to make sure that the two of us are cool?’ he asked.

‘Kyle we’re fine as long as you understand that I’m not interested in being anything more than your friend. I’m with Max, I love Max and that’s not going to change’ I tell him.

He’s a little shocked by my straight forwardness but I don’t let that deter me. I’m not prepared to let anything get in the way of my relationship any longer and even though Kyle hasn’t really caused any trouble I’m not stupid. Kyle doesn’t like Tess anymore than the rest of us so the only reason he would be talking to her was if he thought he had something to gain out of it and most likely it would be a gain at my expense.

‘Ok I get the message’ he says his hands up in defence.

‘Do you?’ I asked eyebrow raised.

‘Look Liz I’m not going to lie and tell you that I’m happy that you’re with Evans and not me but I’m not going to interfere in that as long as you’re happy’ he tells me.

I hear and feel someone walk up and stand beside me and I don’t have to look to know its Max. I feel his hand fall to the small of my back, it’s not a possessive move because if one good thing came out of the last week and this weekend neither of us need to be like that. I know that sounds funny considering the little scene I just had with Tess but I want to make it clear to you that it wasn’t because I felt threatened, I know that Max belongs to me with every beat of my heart. It was because of the crap she was spreading about Max.

Max and I are happy and I have a feeling we will be for a long time.

Max

6 months later

I can’t believe that I’m sitting here with college applications and acceptances surrounding me. Over the past 6 months I’ve spent most of my time talking about finishing school and leaving Roswell but the reality of it is something else completely.

Don’t get me wrong I used to think about college a lot and getting away from Roswell but it’s thinking about such an important part of my life coming to an end that’s disturbing me at the moment.

Liz and I have talked about college and so far we can only seem to agree on one thing and that’s that we want to be together no matter what but now we’re at the point where we need to decide. We both just decided to apply everywhere and then make our decision based on our acceptances and knowing that with how good both of our grades are that we would have quite an extensive choice.

Over the past six months Liz’s band has become a pretty big think in Roswell with them actually getting paid gigs nearly every weekend. I don’t mind because I always go along and help her out and she always saves me a dance at the end of the night. Things with our relationship have just gotten better and better with out people like Tess interfering.

You’re probably wondering what ended up happening with the gerbil?

Well she didn’t give up on me in fact the very next day she cornered me and pulled me in to the eraser room and tried to make it look as though I was cheating on Liz with her. Thankfully Liz saw through her garbage and unfortunetly for Tess Liz told the entire school that she caught Tess in the eraser room masturbating while moaning Mr Seligman’s name. That rumour was compliments of Maria. It pretty much ruined Tess completely and eventually her parents pulled her out of the school and they moved to Las Cruses which was closer to her father’s new job.

‘Hey’ I looked up when I heard Liz’s voice as she made her way into my room before making herself comfortable on my bed.

‘Hey yourself’ I grin before rolling my chair over to greet her properly. The kiss is anything but brief or innocent. I run my tongue along her bottom lip and she opens up for me eagerly so I slide it inside her mouth and meet her own. We kiss for a while until we both need air and when I pull away I smirk at her.

‘I should come over more often’ she mumbles.

I can’t help but laugh then ‘You should especially when my parents are out’ I reply.

‘Out?’ she raises an eyebrow at me.

‘Uh huh’

‘What are you doing over there then?’ she asks me since I’ve wheeled back over to my desk.

‘Well I was going through these’ I tell her showing her the pile of college acceptances ‘You know my dad is riding my ass about where I’m going’ I tell her.

‘No more than mine’ she grins.

‘So?’ I ask her.

She bends down and pulls up her book bag then which is something I didn’t notice she had on her when she entered the room. ‘So’ she replied when she pulls out her own pile.

‘I’ve got replies from Stanford, NYU, Princeton, UCLA, UNM, BU and Harvard’ she tells me.

‘Harvard?’ I raise my eyebrow questioningly I didn’t realise she applied there.

‘Yeah my Dad insisted’ she shrugs.

‘Ok well I’ve got replies from Florida State, UCLA, UNM, NYU and Stanford’ I tell her as I flick through my piles.

‘So now we have to decided where we want to live’ she says. I hop off my chair and make my way over to the bed so that I’m lying down next to her.

‘Well I want to do Law and I can pretty much do that anywhere’ I tell her. I know it sounds as though I’m palming of a decision to her but I’m not. I have my preference but I know Liz and even though everyone assumes that she’s going to study biology I know she hasn’t made that decision yet.

‘Ok well then I probably should tell you that I’m not sure’ she says.

‘I’d say that’s ok’ I tell her she doesn’t need me putting any more pressure on her.

We lay there together for a little while enjoying some time to ourselves, which has been rare over the past months with all out final exams.

‘Max’ her voice startles me.

‘Yeah’

‘What would you say if I told you I wanted to pursue my music?’ she asks me.

I roll over so I can face her ‘Are you telling me that’s what you want to do?’ I ask her.

She thinks about my question for a while I can see her mind ticking over ‘Yeah’ she finally answers and I can’t help but smile at how nervous she seems to be about this.

‘So what do we need to do for that to happen?’ I ask her.

Liz

I cant contain my excitement at his words, not only is he willing to hear me out but he said we, what do we have to do, I was so scared that he wouldn’t want to go down that road with me and I cant tell you how happy and relieved I am that he does.

‘I love you’ I tell him then. This man amazes me so much.

‘I love you too’ he smiles ‘so what do we need to do?’ he repeats

‘Well first I guess I need to talk to Maria, Michael and Alex and see if this is something that they might want as well and if so we need to organise a demo to send out to some record companies’ she explains.

‘What if they don’t?’ he asks me I can see he’s a little concerned that they might not be interested in music.

I shrug ‘well I write most of our material anyway so I’m sure I can become a soloist or one of those artists who puts together a band for their work’ I tell him. I’ve thought about this a lot and I can tell that surprised him a little which I’m not surprised about because it isn’t something that I’ve shared with anyone even though I’ve been thinking about if for quite a while.

‘You’ve thought a lot about this haven’t you?’ he asks me then.

‘Yeah I guess’ I smile ‘I never expected you to agree’ I tell him then.

He looks at me confused then ‘Why wouldn’t I?’ he asks me.

‘Well I mean if I do this, I mean if we do this I might be on the road touring or in the studio for long hours and I didn’t know if you would want a girlfriend you hardly see’ I explain.

He thinks about this, I probably pointed out some things that he never considered before ‘what would you do if I said I didn’t?’ he asks me then.

I hesitate before I answer because it’s another thing that I’ve thought about and I haven’t yet come up with the prefect solution, or any solution for that matter except for the fact that somewhere along the line I would have to choose ‘I don’t know’ I tell him honestly ‘I mean I love you so much and I want to be with you but I also love my music’ I tell him.

He’s quiet for a while which worries me; maybe he’s changed his mind afer all.

‘Well it’s a good thing that I don’t care about what you do as long as you belong to me, isn’t it?’ he says quietly.

I sit up then and look at him.

‘Are you serious?’ I ask him.

‘Yes, your mine baby girl and as long as we’re together and we compromise so that we both can follow our dreams then everything is going to be perfect I just know that being without you just isn’t an option ok?’

I launch myself at him then and plaster his face with small kisses.

‘So New York here we come?’ I ask her.

‘Yeah definitely New York here we come but right now how about I take you to heaven instead’ I grin as I crawl down his body. I unsnap the button and pull down the zipper of his jeans like a professional. Max lifts his hips eagerly so I can slide his jeans and boxers down his lean hips.

His arousal jumps to attention the minute it’s free from his clothing and I don’t waste any time as I eagerly take it into my mouth.
