One Song Everyday - ROUND 32! Man's Un-KIND-ness To Man-KIND

Invisible people should NOT exist, yet sadly there are places
on this planet where people are ignored, shunned or looked
down upon for their differences. It's really sad.

But it's even sadder if you are part of the group that helps to
further this type of disregard against those who are different
from you - whether you actively discriminate, or look the other
way and remain silent.

You can choose NOT to be a part of that group.

I truly am moved by this song. The lyrics are NOT in English, and I have
NOT been able to track down a translation. But I think this precious video
is done in such a way that words are NOT necessary for it's meaning to be
understood. And though this song was originally intended to bring awareness
to one country, I feel this is a universal issue.

(A message to shed light and to remind us of those the world has labeled "disabled."

They are us, NOT "the other." They are human, like we.

And they should be treated with consideration, with "equality.")

Some of us feel a responsibility to our blood ties, the families we are
born into, and our loyalties remain with them. But I think this same
drive to protect, and look after those who are kin, should branch out
to include the extended family, that of the human race.

PLEASE, give it a chance. I think you will find your HEART can only benefit from doing so.

NOT ashamed to admit this - had me crying. *smh* :( )

We Belong - Pat Benatar. She is, by far, one of the BEST female rockers I've ever listened to. She is right up there with Carrie Underwood (for country) and Pink (for contemporary) as being my top three favorites

Well, here's one of my favorite songs of the past few months. Yes, another One Tree Hill song, this time from a season 8 episode. I really just love the tone to it.

And yes, I'm linking you to one of my own vids. I'm that person. I do that.

Listening to "Someday when I Stop Loving You" by Carrie Underwood. I saw her in concert two years ago, and she's phenomenal! :) I have all four of her CDs and love her newest one the best

OMG... I just found the MV to this on YT, and liked
it so much I listened to some other tracks by her.

She is great! I like what I'm hearing, so far. :D

But the reason why I gotta thank you is... there
was this one movie I watched on television when
I was little, and I fell IN LOVE with the movie!

One of her songs, "Invincible" (which I did NOT know was the name
for it, until a few minutes ago) was in the movie. I only saw this movie
once, and never saw it again. Off and on for years I wondered about it,
and wanted to see it again, but I never knew the name... until just now.

The Legend of Billie Jean

I've heard some of her other songs on the radio, but never caught her
name, and didn't know she was the same singer for "Invincible."

OMG... I do NOT think you realize how immensely important this discovery is to me.

I've spent YEARS wondering about this movie, and have even described it to others
(at least, what I could, with my fuzzy memory of it) hoping someone could give me
the answer. All I could remember, clearly, was a blonde girl who cut her hair, the
song "Invincible," her running from some people, and her standing up for herself... REPEATEDLY!

To me, she was such a capable female, who was NOT waiting
around for some one to come and rescue her. She was nothing
like the princesses in the fairy tales I was learning about.

I was absolutely smitten with this character! I wanted to emulate her.

I honestly think the heroine of this film was my first 'fictional' role model.

I just looked up the name of the actress and we share the same
name! It's silly, but learning that fueled my excitement. *sigh*

I'm really tempted to search for the movie, and watch it, right now.

I wonder what I'll think about it, after all this time?

Gracias, Katie!

This is NOT the track I planned to share, but in case anyone's
wondering... What is she talking about?... here's the song, with
clips from the movie - The Legend of Billie Jean.

I enjoy a variety of music. Depending on my mood, it changes
up. But the feel of this next one is most definitely my style.

(Dark, sultry, beyond seductive, and yet chill.

It hints of romance, but makes NO promises  .)

You are SO welcome, Helen! The song was also featured in Talladega Nights, with Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly

It's a wonderful track to go with your vid. I watched it again, just now.

It's nice to have another Ros-vid. Great job, April !

I don't know that movie. Hmm... NOT sure I've
even heard of the title. I'll look it up, though.

Earlier today, it occurred to me that the lead actress
who played Billie Jean, also did Super Girl.

I had watched that, too, when I was little, but I honestly do NOT
remember a single thing, except her face, and her uniform.

And a baseball game? Or a baseball field??

Funny, I had completely forgotten about this stuff, and now all these
early childhood memories seem to be spontaneously resurfacing.

Hmm... Interesting. Thanks, again, Katie! :D
