"...given me the slip." Maria tells me with a worried look on her face

"What!!!" I exclaim in surprise "What do you mean given you the slip?Where would she go right now?She was the one so eager to get married this morning...we could hardly keep her away from Alex."

This is weird,not like Isabel..."Did you check everywhere?She might be in one of the rooms...this place is like a labyrinth,she must have got restless." I say trying to think of possible solutions to the problem of an absentee bride

"Hm. Well Ill look downstairs. Do you mind doing a sweep of the upstairs for me? And hey, lets not tell Alex...I can just imagine his reaction to all this!" I say grimacing before giving Kyle a little wav and heading downstairs.

Kyle

"Right" I say giving her a mock salute "See you later."

Entering the room once more I look at Alex...I can just imagine how he'll react if he knows she's missing...he'll think she's left him.

"Hey man...I've got some stuff to take care of downstairs so I'll be back in a little while." I exit before he can ask me anything

Now...where do I begin?hmm...it's unlikely she's there but I'll check her room first.

I playfully finger Isabels blonde hair.
"Why couldnt you been marrying me Isabel. You know how much your going to hurt him now? As much as you hurt me."
I lean in. "But then. Im going to teach him what real pain is."
I laugh as I figure out what I will do with him in my mind.

Isabel

I jerk my head away as I feel him twine my hair around his fingers...to think that at one point in time I used to love being so close to him

His face is so close to mine that I can feel his breath on my skin,I shut my eyes to block out his features

Please let Alex not think I've abandoned him...oh god please let him not think that...Don't you dare cry Isabel...don't you give this bastard the satisfaction of seeing you break...commands a voice in my head

"Whats the matter Issy....cant shed a tear for the fiance who will be jilted at the alter by you? Cant shed a tear for the poor innocent, idiotic Alex. And I tell you what Isabel. When the weddings over, Ill get Alex up here, and Im going to stand behind the door....and your going to break his heart. And if you dont...."
I lean in "Im going to kill him. One knife stab to the heart should finish him off."
I laugh coldly.

I poke my head in to Isabel's room not that I expect to find her there but nevertheless it can't hurt to try "Iz you in here?"
No answer...so I check all the rooms one by one on that floor

Standing in the middle of the corridor wondering what to do I happen to glance at the stairs which lead to the attic and to the 3-4 rooms just near the attic,they aren't usually used,being kept more for emergencies in case too many relatives suddenly descend upon the Bannings unexpectedly

Taking the steps two at a time I call out softly "Isabel...Isabel are you there?"

My eyes open in horror upon hearing his threat...how can he be such a monster?how could I have loved such a monster?

Oh my god!Alex!!My poor sweet darling...I can't let anything happen to him...I'd rather spend the rest fo my life without him than see him hurt

"Isabel...Isabel you there?" I hear Kyle's voice nearby
I open my mouth but no words come out...I try moving aorund to make some kind of noise...anything to attract attention

I move my legs off the bed to try and kick the floorboards.My feet reach the floor and I stamp hard with one foot,not being very successful at it since my hands are tied to the bed post but at least I managed to make some kind of noise...a thud.
