“Fine, okay. There’s nothing I like better talking so its all good.”
Good. I look at her expecting her to say something, since she did say she would. And I need a good conversation to get my mind off Alex.
“Did I tell you about the shoes that I bought this morning? They are so perfect. Like little pieces of heaven for your feet. And they perfectly with my Donna Karen dress. I’m dying for a chance to wear them. Maybe we could talk Serena into having a formal night at the club for charity. Oh my God, that is such a good idea. What do you think?”
"No you didn't tell me about the shoes, but that sounds like a great idea! I bet Serena will go for it!" I say nodding enthusiatically.

I'll be back with a Zan and Serena post tomorrow. I've really gotta go to bed now, lol.

I nod and make a mental note to talk about the fundraiser idea to Serena when I get back the apartment. I think it might be the best idea I’ve had all day. Not only would it be the perfect chance to help a good cause but it would be an excellent excuse to have everyone together.
Glancing over my shoulder, I smile briefly at Max and Liz. I’m glad that Liz seems to be fitting into the group so well. I knew she would. I mean, I have the best friends in the world. You would have to be crazy not to like them. And it would have been awkward if she hadn’t, really, really awkward.
Turning back to Isabel, I smile brightly even though I’m feeling slightly lost for words and not for the first time that day I wish that Maria was here. Maria always has something to say. Rambling is her thing and she is very good at it.
“I’ll talk about it with her when I get back the apartment.” I state before sighing as I look at my bare wrist. “I really wanted to buy a watch today. Its so crazy that I don’t own one. Its probably why I am always late but anyway, tell me more about this Kyle Valenti.”

"What? Oh. Um, well I've got money for the taxi." Maria tells me and I smile, thinking that she’s not going to need it but before I can say anything about it, she starts for the Starbucks line and I follow as she says, "But come on, let's get that coffee."
When we’re in line, I listen as she orders and make my own order, handing the cashier the money to pay for both before she can beat me to it. I give her a smirk as I say simply, “Couldn’t resist.” I comment before glancing toward the empty tables and begin walking towards one of them with both of our drinks in hand.
Reaching a table I sit down and place her cup on the table across from me and waited for her to join me before I tell her, “Save your taxi money, Maria. I can give you a lift and you won’t have to worry about a driver trying to up the fare on you.”

"Well, I seem to be having the worse case of writers block." Liz tells me and I’m surprised that she would tell me something like that. I smile as we walk along, arms linked. I can’t stop myself from looking over at her, she is absolutely beautiful. This is wrong in so many ways and yet as I try to picture Maria, the main reason this is wrong, I find myself having a hard time doing so.
"In the project I am working on the main character's love interest is a fire fighter, but lack of chemistry between the two has kind of fizzled the storyline. I was thinking maybe she could fall for a lawyer." She says and I have to shake my head as I smile at that.
“Well, just remember that if you have a lawyer involved many of us take our work home with us so it’s not always easy to get our focus off of our cases. It would be better if the lawyer wasn’t in criminal justice the way I am. Then he would have less to bother him and more chance to focus on a lovely lady.” I can’t help but grin as I speak to her thinking of so many other things I could tell her.
“Of course, if you’d like, I could introduce you to several different types of lawyers, you can hear shop talk and decide if there was a specific type of lawyer you’d like to study. Most of us don’t have a problem if someone wants to actually learn the ins and outs of the justice system. I’d be more then happy to assist in any way I can.” I tell her, winking before I add, “After all, wouldn’t want to see you suffering from writer’s block if I can aid in ending it.”

Maria
Michael orders his drink, and as I'm fishing through my large bag, he places money for the both of them on the counter. About to protest, he cuts me off, saying “Couldn’t resist.”
Deciding not to argue, I smile and follow him off to a table, sitting opposite him. I take a big sip of my drink, and let out a little sigh. Perfect. Nothing like caffeine after a long flight.
“Save your taxi money, Maria. I can give you a lift and you won’t have to worry about a driver trying to up the fare on you.” I hear from Michael across the table, and I look up confused.
"No, I don't want to be a bother to you...you've got places to be," I tell him, shaking my head. I'm not one to take charity from strangers when I'm perfectly capable myself.
Thinking about what he said for another minute, I grin. "And I've lived here long enough to know how to argue with a taxi driver, believe me." Taxi's were the first thing I mastered when I moved here, even before I got a job.
Still smiling, I take another sip of my latte and then thank him. "But thank you for the offer."

ZAN
“Alone at last.” I murmur huskily as I prowl towards her until she backed up against the front door.
6 seconds. That’s how long it takes me to walk towards Serena and wrap my arms around her waist. The apartment is silent apart from the sound of our breathing. I nuzzle her neck and breath in her heavenly scent, thanking the Powers that Be that we are finally alone. I’ve been waiting for this moment since yesterday when she kissed me goodbye.
“You should catch up on your sleep,” She murmurs halfheartedly as I reach behind her and pull her hair free from the knot she had put it in after she left the bedroom and enjoy the way its falls down her back in a silky mass of peach smelling curls.
“Mmmm,” I say in agreement although sleep is the last thing on my mind as I tug at the white cotton tank top she shouldn’t be wearing and toss it behind my shoulder. The only thing that I can think about at the moment is Serena and getting her naked.
Her jeans see the same fate as her tank top, leaving her wearing nothing but her bra and knickers and a sexy smirk. Right in this moment she could be mistaken for a Victoria’s Secret model, she is so damn beautiful. I thank my lucky stars that I managed to get her to fall in love with me before any other guy had a chance.
“Zan, don‘t you think you‘re a little over dressed?” She grins before kissing and nipping my jaw. She wraps her arms around my neck and her long legs around my waist.
“Yep,” I say with a grin as I carry her towards our bedroom. “And I think that you’ll still a little over dressed.”

The dark haired hottie shakes his head and smiles brightly at my confession. “Well, just remember that if you have a lawyer involved many of us take our work home with us so it’s not always easy to get our focus off of our cases. It would be better if the lawyer wasn’t in criminal justice the way I am. Then he would have less to bother him and more chance to focus on a lovely lady.” He informs me with a knowing grin.
He make work long hours ,but if I was his girlfriend I wouldn't complain. Just as long as he came home to me, but that is the point though isn't it? He already has a supportive significant other. I'm sure he's simply being kind to me ,because he feels sorry for my severe lack of friends, which is painstakingly obvious. However he does seem to get a kick out of talking about his job. He must really love what he does. I really admire the passion he expresses when conversing about his line of work.
“Of course, if you’d like, I could introduce you to several different types of lawyers, you can hear shop talk and decide if there was a specific type of lawyer you’d like to study. Most of us don’t have a problem if someone wants to actually learn the ins and outs of the justice system. I’d be more then happy to assist in any way I can.” He assures me the sweetest wink. I almost melt. Almost being the key word. I can't fall for my new best friend's boyfriend. I just can't.
“After all, wouldn’t want to see you suffering from writer’s block if I can aid in ending it.” he replies with an adorable grin. Taking a deep breath I try to concel my emotions. "That's awfully generous of you. I'd love to meet some of your collegues, but I'd hate to distract you from your work. I get the distinct feeling that you enjoy it greatly." I tease tapping his arm lightly.

“I’ll talk about it with her when I get back the apartment. I really wanted to buy a watch today. Its so crazy that I don’t own one. Its probably why I am always late but anyway, tell me more about this Kyle Valenti.”
I laugh. I know what she means, I wouldn't be anywhere without my watch. I practically live by it so I get all the things I want to do done. Of course that doesn't happen after 6pm, so that that way I don't feel bad at leaving my work place at God knows what hour.
Looking back at Tess I shrug.
"I don't know theres much more to say. He seems nice. He isn't involved with anyone right now and feels akward infront of cameras, which is odd since he's a footballer but hey. He's very modest. He seems ok" I say shrugging.

So, I thought now would be a good time for everyone to start bringing their conversations to a close so that we can move to a new day and hopefully get things moving again. What do you all think?

I can’t help sighing dreamily. I wish that my job involved photographing rich, half naked guys instead of being bossed around by pompous lawyers (Max is probably the only lawyer I like at our firm but he’s dating my best friend). The only thing that makes my job bearable is the pay and the other secretaries.
“It was probably all an act,” I say. “He’s rich, famous and probably really beautiful. And that just spells trouble if you ask me. You know that hockey player…ugh what’s his name? The one who was arrested for drunk driving…” I chew my bottom lip as Isabel stares at me blankly. “You know, the one with the hair that kinda goes woah…” I shake my head as Isabel continues to stare at me blankly. “It doesn’t matter. All I’m saying is that hockey players or footballers or whatever sports they playing these days are all the same. They are still the mindless jocks from high school. Don’t ya think?”
