I used to set this track on replay, turn out the lights, crawl into
bed, and just lay there, contemplating, until sleep took me.

I love the way he sings this song.

As if he came to an understanding about life and living that I haven’t
discovered yet. I guess that’s why I spent many nights awake, listening

... I was trying to figure out what he knew that I did NOT.

Been doing that, again, lately.

AMAZING SONG.

From the release of breath at the start...

To how he plays the chords on his guitar...

To the lyrics...

To the intensity of emotions he exudes (and seems to draw out from the listener).

This man was something else.

Here are two links. This first one is the track I have.

Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley

Well, your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
And she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

....

Well, there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me, do you?
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving, too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Oh, Jeff Buckley. The world lost a great music talent when he passed. I know there have been so many different versions recorded of that song, but his will always be the best. That's a really beautiful one, Helen.

I don't know what possessed me to do a Youtube search for "Linkin Park covers" yesterday, but I heard this amazingness for the first time:

Crawling (cover) by Vivian Sormeland and Vegard Ateigen

Man, stuff like this makes me wish more than ever I had some singing talent. :D

Hmm, not sure why I'm so addicted to this song. It's not that the lyrics are particularly spectacular or innovative, but . . . I don't know. It's just pretty good.

Wow, April, that is an amazing cover. You can tell they both have a real talent for this.

I am very impressed by the woman, Vivian Sormeland. I wonder if singing is what she
does for a living, or if it's only something she does for the sheer enjoyment of it.

Well, I know I can get quite wordy with these
posts so, for a change, l'll get straight to it.

I may not be as big a fan of classic rock as most people are, but I do appreciate a good song every once in a great while. And I like listening to artists/bands such as:

Daughtry
Green Day
Goo Goo Dolls
Vertical Horizon
Gin Blossoms

So if anyone likes any of these bands, lemme know! I LOVE THEM!!!

Can't honestly say I listen to Daughtry.

But definite check marks next to the last four, for likes. :D

Been into dance tracks, lately. Been in the dancing mood.

This next one is actually a remixed mashup vid of dancers from Nike
women commercials that the Youtuber (bunnyvsworld) uploaded.

It's a fun one  , and I think I like this song more BECAUSE of this video.

I especially love the parts with the two solo dancers -
Amy Secada (one in the pink top), and Sofia Boutella (in blue).

I think they're both amazing dancers!

REALLY love Amy's part. Can't keep my eyes off her.

I'm checking your body, it's lookin' right
Boy, I can tell that you go all night :P

SWEET BOY, I just wanna be your fantasy, Boy
If you want it, Boy, you gotta ...

(Just a bit of humour, folks. Those lyrics written out just crack me up.)

Here's the song in its entirety, feat. Akon - Senegal (West Africa)

p.s. NO pun intended with the title. It's honestly a coincidence.
I just used it because it's Nike's slogan, and then realized after
typing up the lyrics that it gives a double meaning.

I am shocked, Helen! To not hear of Daughtry? Have you NOT heard of American Idol? I'm not a fan of the show, and even I KNOW who he is.

Everlong (acoustic version) by Foo Fighters

I freakin' love this version. The original is great, too, but this one really lets you hear and feel the lyrics on a deeper level, in my opinion.

 Yes, Katie, I have heard of him. I just haven't really listened
to his music before. I can't even give you one song title.

And... I'm NOT even sure if Daughtry is his first name or surname??

That's how bad it is.

His connection to American Idol is just about all I know
of him, other than that, I'm sort of clueless. Even then,
I never watched the show, so I haven't seen him perform,
and I don't even know what season he was on.

Did he win??

Nice one, April. First time hearing this version. It's a really good one.

Okay, so, I go a little wild, whenever I hear this next
track; I automatically start dancing and singing along.

They're a REALLY great band, and this may just be my favorite song of theirs.

Nothing but good music from this band. I think they're beyond amazing.

This next track (in my mind) has become Revenge's theme song.

Victoria and Conrad's in particular.

Loved this track before, but now that I have caught up with
the show, this song has a whole other meaning to it.
