"That's not such a bad idea." "Uh oh,I think the ride is over."

I sigh regrettfully, just when things got interesting!

"Oh well, we better behave all innocent and normal then." I quip before starting to whistle in a very suspicious manner. Moving away from Iz - which really aint fun - I put my hands into my lap, trying to look like a nice little boy who did not steal cookies out of the jar.

Then I glance over at Iz and start laughing, "Okay, maybe we won't be able to pull off the innocent look with our big grins, your tussled hair and ... I bet you left lipstick on my face."

Isabel

My hand automatically goes up to my hair,tucking back stray strands which have come undone.I wish it was like in the movies where the actresses' hair is always in place,not a strand out of place.

"Clear gloss remember?" I remind him with a grin "Just so that I wouldn't have to worry about leaving lipstick marks all over your face and neck and to spare you another ribbing session from Kyle."

We come to the end of the tunnel and get out,hand in hand and walk out."So how much longer do you think we should stick around?"

Alex

"You're too good to me." I say, taking her hand and pressing a kiss onto the palm before helping her out of the seat.

"So how much longer do you think we should stick around?"

Certainly looks like she wants us to head back to her place as soon as possible!

"Hm, guess it would be rude if we don't talk to some of them anymore - especially Kyle'n'Tess and Liz since she's the one who planned all this. If we find them, that is." I glance around the many people, it really is a success.

"And honestly," I add as we walk along, our joined hands swinging back and forth, "I wasn't kidding when I said I'd like to grab something to eat. Fries maybe ... and ice cream of course. We can't be on a carnival without eating ice cream!"

~LIZ~

I know I should probably snort or roll my eyes at his words but they really sounded sincere, even to trained ears like mine and coming from a player like him. I turn my head from where I had been watching the sky to smile seductively up at him. "You can look at this goddess all you want but you really should take at least a peak at the impressive view out there," I say nodding my head out at the spectacular view.

Don't ask me to explain it but I love the feel of his hand holding mine. I look down at our fingers entwined together and they just look right...not to mention he has the sexiest hands of any man I've ever met. I unconsciously lick my lips at the thoughts of what those hands could do to me. I lean in as close as possible to him and take my free hand and place it over his heart. "Tell me something about yourself," I request spontaneously. "Anything at all. Just something that not a lot of people know." Where the hell did that come from? I hope that didn't sound too much like a woman out for a boyfriend. I'm still trying to balance my way through this bet...although it's hard to remember now why I made it.

Isabel

I watch as he presses a kiss to my palm and that simple gesture warms my heart.I think I love being in love with this man.Being around him does funny things to my insides.

Looking around I try and see if I can spot the others,even stand on tip toes at one point but the crowd has suddenly swelled and the ground is full of people so there's no chance of us spotting them like this.

"Kyle is probably with Tess.He looked kind of anxious about seeing her.Liz must be off somewhere with Max,coochy-cooing so let's not interupt those two.I wonder where Maria and Michael are?Could it be that all my friends have fallen for all your friends?" I ask giving him a grin "Now that would be something."

Seeing a hot dog stand I pull Alex towards it,"Okay so let's get something in to that tummy of yours before you accuse me of wanting to starve you."

Alex

"It certainly would." I agree, not to forget extremly weird. "But ... we'll have to see about that with Max and Liz, after all, it's only a bet for Liz so far, or isn't it?"

"Okay so let's get something in to that tummy of yours before you accuse me of wanting to starve you."

"Oh, I'd never do that!" I say as Isabel pulls me after her, "Okay, maybe once or twice but not more often." Luckily, there's no line so I can immediately order. "Okay, I'd like ... uh ... fries with a coke and what do you want?" I ask Isabel.

I'm utterly surprised by her words. But I still don't look at the view. I'm too busy looking at Liz. "Um...something you don't know?" I say biting my lip. What do I tell her. To be fair, most of my secrets are ones that absolutely no one knows. Isabel knows none of my secrets... although she may have heard it through friends... things like what I'm about to say always get out.

"Um... my first year when I was learning to be a doctor... I met a girl called Jane. I was... completely bewitched by her. And she....she distracted me so much I almost flunked out of the school. But I didn't care... until she told me she was pregnant with someone elses child." I swallow and murmur, "She had been cheating on me most of our relationship... so I through myself into my work and I ended up here."

I look away from Liz and look at the view for the first time. "Your right...it is beautiful..." I mutter, wondering if I had shared WAY too much. Why the hell had I told her that? I could have told her something little...hell I could even have lied to her...

No I wouldnt lie to Liz....


What the HELL is wrong with me?!

"But ... we'll have to see about that with Max and Liz, after all, it's only a bet for Liz so far, or isn't it?"
Hmm...I have to think about that.Usually Liz isn't too bothered about the guy as long as she gets a whole lotta fun out of him and then can break it off without too much of a fuss.The same goes for Max too I am guessing.But they both seemed a little too cuddly back there and romantic for it to be just about the sex.

"I'm not sure what's happening between my dear brother and my friend.They're both not acting like they usually do,at least she isn't.Max,I haven't seen him in action for a long time,if you discount last week at the club,so may be I shouldn't comment."

We reach the food stand,"Okay, I'd like ... uh ... fries with a coke and what do you want?" Nothing really looks too healthy or appetising for that matter but what the heck,"I'll have one hot dog please." I tell the man and smile

Isabel doesn't appear very enthusiastic about the choice of food but offers a smile at least, "I'll have one hot dog please." Chosing hot dogs over fries - what a pity!

As we wait for our food, I think about Isabel's words about Max and liz's behavior. True, Max didn't act like he usually does but ... I don'T know, it is way too early to say if they are into each other for real or not.

Paying for the food (after we got it of course) we head away from the small stand, not saying much but concentrating on our food. Okay, so I was already scanning the area for the next ice cream stand but that was to be expected.

"So, do you have any questions you wanna ask me?" I question out of the blue. "Like ... I don't know ... uh ... you don't even know how old I am, do you?"

Isabel

We move away from the stand and sit down on a bench.
"So, do you have any questions you wanna ask me?" he asks just as I bite in to hot dog.I wasn't going to ask him anything at present but since he brought it up "Like ... I don't know ... uh ... you don't even know how old I am, do you?"

Dabbing at the corners of my mouth with a napkin,I swallow my bite before talking,"Well...since you became friends with Max while in college,I just guessed that that makes you four years older than me." I say teasingly because Max is only a year older than me "Or is this your way of trying to politely ask me how old I am?" I ask him with a wink
